Just want AF to arrive so new cycle can begin...

AF due in 3 days.

Am sure I'm out this month - negative FRER today and I have the usual PMS acne.

Just want my period to come already so that I can get this useless cycle over with and have a commiseration beer.

Just frustrating as have been taking pre-conception vitamins for months, cut out caffeine, no alcohol during TWW, have DTD every other day, tracked ovulation and with no success.

Anyone else fancy a moan whilst waiting for AF to show up?

I really want this one to come away now I know it’s gone. Hate the waiting so much, it’s like being stuck in a limbo of pregnant/not pregnant/unable to move on for the next attempt

@VixFromThe6ix Mumsnet has a list of acronyms here Mumsnet abbreviations, but if you've come across any that aren't on that list then we will be happy to try and guess/help!

@CaribouCarafe so so so true... I examine and overanalyze everything now. Every cramp, every discharge, every other "symptom".
It really is incredible what female body does. It's pretty damn amazing!!
No BFP for us this month, so fingers crossed for the next.
Wishing you a BFP !!

P.s. is there a summary of abbreviations?? Being new sometimes I don't know what I'm readying on these forums as everyone just abbreviates 😂

@VixFromThe6ix welcome to the group! Yeah ever since TTC (and failing!) I've become so much more in awe of our reproductive systems -discharge used to be a gross, inconvenience before but now I'm like scientifically inspecting my underwear most days Blush.

I think the days just before AF are the worst where you're all crampy and grumpy and secretly hoping you're pregnant but deep down know you're not...

Have my fingers crossed you have a cheeky BFP but if not a BFP then a period that arrives on time!

Funny how things turned when trying to conceive, right? Before I would enjoy my three weeks of "freedom" as I called them, now I'm counting down the days till the next cycle.

@Ughmaybenot haha before my TTC adventure I had so many ideas about not conceiving in particular months because of summer holidays/Christmas/existing family birthday etc. Now I'm like "fuck it, let's have triplets on Christmas day!"

So yeah I think I'd feel similarly to you about 9 months of heaving now!Grin

I’m, touch wood, great thanks @CaribouCarafe. According to the midwives I’m 9w+4 but I think it’s less than that due to when I ovulated, but either way, I’m just on cloud nine really. Cannot stop throwing up, and been this way three weeks, so have lost a load of weight, but I don’t mind so much. First midwives appointment on Thursday but no date for my first scan yet, that’ll make it more real I think.

Not gonna lie, part of me always assumed I'd have an immaculate conception - the Nativity story properly freaked me out as a teen!

I forgot to mention my favourite detail of the littlest kitten - he snarfles his wet food so quickly he gets bits in his nose that I then have to dig out for him Envy (not envy) while he purrs like a little maniac. What he doesn't have in brains he makes up for in fluff Grin.

No chance of a surprise pregnancy here, not been that close to a man for the last 3 years! 🤭 Not completely averse to the idea, but unlikely to meet anyone in current circumstances, never mind getting them to agree to having a baby.

Had a fantastic talk (and a good cry) with hubby this afternoon and I'm currently in the bath with a laaaarge glass of one of the last (savoured) bottles of white wine from our wedding and a suspicious smelling cigarette 😏 feeling much better than I was earlier.

Thank you all for being there 🥰 I feel like this community in particular is one of the most supportive I've ever come across - you girls hear the absolute worst of what goes through my mind and I'm truly grateful for the outlet because I'm clinging onto my pre-TTC positivity levels by a thread these days and it's getting so so hard to hide that from "the rest of the world" ❤️

Also...we are getting dangerously close to 1k now 🤩🥳 time to start coming up with our witty next thread title??

Wow this thread moved quickly since last time I checked in! Wish we had a status bar somewhere on the side so that we could track everyone's cycle/progress - is that a creepy thing to say? Maybe... (!)

@Sunbird24 I'm so sorry to hear the IVF didn't take - I have my fingers crossed for you for the next cycle (if you have one planned) or that you have a sneaky unexpected natural pregnancy (this happened to a friend). I can't imagine what you're going through right now.

Sorry girls for dropping off the radar - bad mental health and just so, so fed up. In particular, I just can't deal with the threads on Mumsnet where people are considering terminating because the baby is arriving sooner than planned/didn't use contraceptive etc. It just feels so, so unfair.

It's now another anniversary of actively trying for me. What's worse is that I've just started a new job so TTC is off the tables technically for the next 3 months (although at this rate, sod it - probably won't get pregnant anyway!).

On the plus side though in KITTEN NEWS, we got our boy a little friend - he is an absolute marshmallow of a cat and the two of them are absolute best buddies. Favourite past times include:

  • racing around the flat at 4am
  • eating out of the same food bowl even though they have their own separate ones
  • competitively pooping in the litter tray at the same time
  • snuggling up to one another
  • both demanding to be picked up by me at the same time.

Am feeling very blessed in this respect - 7 years of asking DH for a cat and he agrees to 2!

AF arrived for me this pm but not too sad as I’ve finally had a normal cycle and can have my day 3 bloods redone Friday so means I can move on with my fertility testing too ☺️

Did I? I can’t even remember! Blush I know I got my first v faint BFP 7 days after transfer, so that would be 12 days after the nominal conception date as they were 5 day embryos, and 13 days after I ovulated. I’m clearly massively overthinking this 🤭 Whatever will be, will be...
