Just want AF to arrive so new cycle can begin...

AF due in 3 days.

Am sure I'm out this month - negative FRER today and I have the usual PMS acne.

Just want my period to come already so that I can get this useless cycle over with and have a commiseration beer.

Just frustrating as have been taking pre-conception vitamins for months, cut out caffeine, no alcohol during TWW, have DTD every other day, tracked ovulation and with no success.

Anyone else fancy a moan whilst waiting for AF to show up?

Yeeeah I think you guys are right @ls2020 @ughmaybenot
It's weird, I have sliiightly more patience this month so I'm coping alright with waiting.

How freaking HOT is it today?? 🥵
I'm in work (Central Scotland) and sweating my wee bum off haha!

Ughmaybenot · 25/06/2020 11:47

@LS2020 I hope it is a more relaxed month for you. I don’t think I ever quite appreciated how stressful ttc can be sometimes.

Ah yea that might be a bit tricky I guess, I’m naturally in a routine where I wake up at about 7 everyday regardless of alarm or anything else. Might be worth a try tho?

LS2020 · 25/06/2020 08:58

@ughmaybenot see I felt really under pressure this month because I wanted to give him a positive for Father’s Day and last month I had something as well for wanting to tell him (I think baby would have been due val day) so now because I’ve got nothing coming up, I’m hoping I chill out a bit more about it.

My concern is doing accurately as I love a weekend lie in so not sure I’ll do on time?

Ughmaybenot · 25/06/2020 08:24

@ls2020 I really hope so. I’m not counting on it by any means but it’s our first wedding anniversary next month, and what a present that would be... plus I’d not have to worry about buying for the impossible man 😂
Good plan, it’s nice knowing you’ve done the best you can on that front for sure. Re temping, hard to say at the moment. I find it quite interesting, but I’ve not really been doing it long enough To establish a pattern as such. I don’t think it would hurt tbh.

LS2020 · 25/06/2020 08:16

@mrswilso yeah sorry probably not what you want to hear but I would do Saturday am because you’ll know deffo either way as 12dpo is kind of latest implantation so should be showing something 😊 fx for you!

@ughmaybenot Sounds promising! I’m gonna try DTD every 2 days this cycle not sure if my DP is ready for it but I want to know I’ve caught every possibility this month. How do you find temping? I can’t tell whether it will be useful to give me something to do or be something to obsess over

Ughmaybenot · 25/06/2020 08:08

@LS2020 morning my lovely Smile getting on okay, should be ovulating round about now... no ewcm yet but my temp shot up yesterday and I got my first actual hint of a second line on my OPK too 😂 small things eh. It’s not exactly following the pattern I was looking for but DH and I DTD Sunday Monday and yesterday so 🤞🏻 we’ve caught it right.
Ah that’s annoying @mrswilso ... I think I’d wait til Saturday, it’s more likely to be a definite one way or the other then Smile good luck!

mrswilso · 25/06/2020 07:58

Mooorning! I've been trying to ignore symptoms this month sorry I've been so quiet!
Glad to see you're all doing okay though ☺️
I'm probably about 12dpo today, Ovias telling me to test 😳 wasted my FMU as I was desperate for a pee and now I'm feeling like an idiot...don't know if I wanna risk using SMU and getting a BFN so I might just hold off until Saturday morning now...
Anyone else testing soon??

LS2020 · 25/06/2020 07:06

@dogmam how*

Annoying it doesn’t let you edit!!

LS2020 · 25/06/2020 07:06

@CaribouCarafe my OH is an August baby and he hates it so it’s made me feel the same way but sadly AF showed today so it’s on to the next cycle. At this point I’d just be happy with a positive test so I’ll take a baby whenever it’s born!!

@Ughmaybenot @mrswilso @dogmamhow are you all getting on? Xx

Ughmaybenot · 22/06/2020 13:12

Shame it was a negative but I’m glad you both seem to be feeling okay this month Flowers
I don’t know how I feel really. I’m doing OPKs and hoping for a positive (according to Glow, it should be in about five days) but generally I’m feeling pretty chilled about it. Hope it happens but kind of expecting it not to (again!).
It’d be just my luck to have a late spring/summer baby, when my husband won’t be around much at all until the autumn 😂

CaribouCarafe · 22/06/2020 08:30

Haha I do that with the OPKs too!

I'm 8dpo, so not super early but just unlikely to get a positive yet.

I know it's unreasonable, but I was kind of hoping I wouldn't end up with a summer baby just because I remember all the kids born in July and August ended up having smaller birthday parties as other members of their classes would be on holiday/not available to send invitations to etc.

Also, am currently living in a country where the temperatures reach 50 degrees in summer so would end up spending my mat leave living like a hermit indoors all day!

But then again, I just want a baby at this point so I don't mind too much!

LS2020 · 22/06/2020 08:15

@cariboucarafe I ended up doing an OPK last night just to help me poas need! I don’t think I ovulated this month as didn’t get a positive OPK so not overly worried.

How many DPO are you?

Yeah for some reason I’ve got my heart set on 2 months time as then will be due April and my new holiday year will kick in so will be able to take a bit more time off before baby gets here which I’d like

CaribouCarafe · 22/06/2020 08:09

Oh I'm sorry to hear that @LS2020. But am glad to hear you're feeling ok.

Tested this morning (I know it's too early...but the ICs were calling to me) and got an inevitable BFN. Have also been feeling more chilled out this month - I think I just accepted that odds are I won't get pregnant this month which kinda helped...

LS2020 · 21/06/2020 14:11

Thanks @Ughmaybenot, I don’t know why, kinda feeling ok - not sure if my mind is waiting for AF or if it’s just not felt right this month and I’ve accepted it. Normally cried twice by this point in TWW 😂

Ughmaybenot · 21/06/2020 08:24

That sucks @LS2020 I’m sorry Flowers also Cake

LS2020 · 21/06/2020 06:50

BFN this morning again. Still no symptoms either way and RHR has stagnated so looks like I’m out this month! AF due weds so will only test if she’s late. Fx for you all x

LS2020 · 20/06/2020 17:34

@dogmam no, I only had 3 ic strips left of current pack so decided to do yesterday, tomorrow and Tuesday. AF isn’t due til Wednesday so still a fair bit of time. RHR is creeping back up now but the rest of my ‘symptoms’ have disappeared today. Today should be worst day for sore breasts and they’d been hurting on off last couple of days but all that’s completely gone, they’re still swollen massively though like they normally do so as mentioned, my body likes to tease me 😂 I did have another pregnancy dream though so it’s deffo getting to me sadly

dogmam · 20/06/2020 14:15

@ls2020 have you tested again this morning? When is AF due? The temptation to test early is real!! Good luck x

LS2020 · 19/06/2020 18:33

Thanks @ughmaybenot. I’m only 9dpo and my RHR has plunged so I’ve convinced myself it’s an implantation dip and therefore ofc it’s negative. Honestly my mind is psycho but my poas need has been sated for a while!

Ughmaybenot · 19/06/2020 18:28

Ah that’s disappointing @ls2020 enjoy your Pizza Hut. I’m a bit jealous, I’m still at work 😂

@dogmam aaah living in oz sounds amazing. I honestly could’ve happily stayed in nz but we’ve got businesses at home that needed us. I’d love to have lived there for a year or two but then come home to bring kids up.

LS2020 · 19/06/2020 18:20

@Ughmaybenot got a bfn this morning, stupid to test this early but I couldn’t wait any longer so treating myself to a Pizza Hut.. think this weight loss won’t last long haha

@dogmam thanks for your kind words. I must admit the more I look at RHR, the more random mine seems to be. Generally the main things I notice is a massive drop the day before AF and a peak at ovulation but outside those dates, my graphs are pretty up and down at any other times.

Ahh you’re making me regret not taking my gap year now!!

dogmam · 19/06/2020 10:35

Hi everyone, just catching up on this thread, lovely to here how you've all been getting on although sorry that some of you are having a bit of a rough time.

Well done to the girls who have lost weight, especially during this lockdown! Temptation for naughty food is so hard right now! Honestly I can't wait to be pregnant just to fully take advantage of eating ALL the carbs I can! I'm gonna milk it on the food front haha

Sorry to here some of your other halfs aren't fully engaged, I kind of feel like I'm in the same boat with mine. We are technically just 'seeing what happens' as agreed when I came off the pill in October.. but I'm kind of past that.. opk, RHR, CM checking.. I'm actually obsessed but still agreeing with the 'Yeahh, taking it easy and seeing what happens' haha.

Speaking of RHR, I'm a little confused with what the logic is around in terms of O and potential pregnancy? I have a garmin watch as I run several times a week so it's tracks everything inc RHR.. not sure though if I could count on mine with me running a lot.

NZ honeymoon sounds amazing!! Me and my other half actually went travelling for 2 year to lots of different counties and lived in OZ for a year, so I know how amazing that lifestyle is. A few years on and a mortgage and dog is fairly different!

Hope you're all ok and happy Friday!

Ughmaybenot · 19/06/2020 09:25

@LS2020 oh if you ever get the chance, you should take it, it was the most amazing experience and it’s such a beautiful country.
I can’t decide if that’s a nightmare or a dream 😂 I used to work in a builders merchant and that was a killer, those guys can eat 😂

LS2020 · 18/06/2020 21:27

@Ughmaybenot I hope one day we get to go. I had a call with a head of another team on Tuesday and she did shared parental leave with her husband and they took 2 months off together to go and travel around and they unfortunately had to come back slightly earlier than planned because of Covid but it was such an amazing idea and me and OH have agreed that we’ll do similar. I’m going to do SPL for 3 months and we’ll take off month 6-9 together and do some travelling with the baby and have some time at home.
I work for a big 4 food retailer so we constantly have client samples and food testing demos and then a full proper cafe, it’s a nightmare for the waist!!!

Ughmaybenot · 18/06/2020 18:19

@LS2020 it was absolutely incredible, just weeks of just me and DH exploring in a campervan, and staying with various friends we have around the country. Best time of our lives 😊
Working in an office is an absolute killer, it’s always someone’s birthday, or someone’s leaving, or someone’s going on maternity or it’s a Tuesday...
Haha you’re probably right!!
