Hmm that is a bit strange, not been waking up in night as I think that can throw off BBT readings? Tbh I just feel like I’ve had no lucky with anything so I just do on my EWCM, that’s the only thing that seems to come at same point every cycle and is about when I should ovulate so maybe listening to my body is the way to go?
Yeah we tried to do last month but got knackered by final week so well done for keeping up with!!

@mrswilso this is my worry now that I’ve had this positive OPK too, it’s not long enough for an egg to mature. I’m getting day 21 bloods this month tho so at least I’ll get to find out if I ever did! Do you do BBT?

@ls2020 just tested there, had another strong peak but got bfn on cheapie hcg strip 🤔 I’m gonna go ahead and assume it’s definitely not pregnancy related (cos I don’t really have any other symptoms that would imply it could be that) and just DTD like mad ha! We’ve managed to sneak in a cheeky wee CD3 quickie (legs in the air after too!) so I’m feeling reassured that we’ve started early enough but I’m now worrying that CD6/7 for ovulation is a bit too early...

@ughmaybenot uuugh I think the “surprise” ones are the worst! Same thing happened with my boss...and I know for a fact he was definitely surprised ha! It’s the weirdest feeling, genuine happiness for people mixed with envy and guilt. Hope you’re doing okay 💕

Yea I have to admit, after sending my enthusiastic congratulations, I muted the group chat. They’re a fantastic group of women but I just couldn’t deal with that right then!
Maybe I should give the more expensive ones a try. My bbt basically just went up and down seemingly at random, I can’t see that it’s tied in with anything at all. Odd.
That’s what I’ve sort of been thinking re the DTD every other day, it does feel like it’s taken a bit of pressure off in terms of tracking.

Honestly that’s the worst, I would be so (secretly) fuming. I’m annoyed about my managers being pregnant and I don’t even know them personally haha.

Maybe try clearblue, they expensive so only do for a cycle but the digitals keep note of your base line so know when it’s a surge for you if that makes sense. What has your bbt done? Did it tie in with stronger OPKs?

Yeah it’s a good attitude to have and if you’re DTD every other day you could almost just not track as you’re always going to catch the right time 😊

We did have a lovely day, thank you @LS2020 , we spent the day on the beach. To be fair, only one of my friends knows I’m trying so it’s not like she knew or anything so I don’t blame her at all, it was just a bit gutting! Especially as she has already said it was a ‘surprise’ baby... gah!!
I was testing from about 3/4 days after my period ended so I don’t think I’m missing it? I test once or twice a day, always around 2pm and sometimes again at about 7pm. Only cheapies, yea.
My bbt chart hasn’t really followed the expected pattern either this month which is a bit annoying 😂
I’m trying not to think about it as much as I have been tho, I don’t think it was doing me too much good, dwelling on it too much. DH has been amazingly supportive and so reassuring, think I’d be struggling a lot more if he wasn’t being so great about everything.

@mrswilso ooh that is a strange one! I’ve heard just before AF getting one but not just after I don’t think. Have you tested again this pm?

AF arrives in 7 Days. It’s so strange before I was trying my boobs would be sore a couple days before AF, my skin would be terrible a couple days before AF. Since I’ve started trying, literally a week before AF I have sore boobs and super bad skin. It happened last month too when I got my BFN as well. Why are our bodies so weird.

One of my best friends has just announced she’s pregnant, due feb. So happy for her but also selfishly quite jealous, and it was on my wedding anniversary so that was nice 😂
Another month without a strong peak on OPKs. It seems to get higher and higher and then just go back again, which is a bit odd. We’ve been DTD every other day all month tho so I guess it doesn’t matter so much 🤷🏼‍♀️

@mrswilso yeah possibly, I got a peak fertility today which implies LH is high but still feels a couple of days early. I pulled out the stick and wouldn’t have said it was that strong so a bit confused! Just gonna have to DTD til Sunday I think.

@AKcheer honestly think I looked at centre parcs for a weekend and was £600 was like abs not when pools and restaurants weren’t even open at that bit!! We have a spa weekend book August bank hols which I’m looking forward to at least.

@LS2020 oh 100% agree with you there sister!! Omg I know... I literally don’t know where to go. Croatia has low Coronavirus rates so I even said to hubby shall we go there. Lol I just need a break!!

@LS2020 I know the cheapies can only detect LH so maybe it's the Estrogen that gives a better line with the CB ones x

Thanks both @mrswilso, I did a bit of google and think it’s ok as it’s testing for estrogen too. So basically I should have 4 days of estrogen build up and flashing smiley and then a LH surge and a fixed smiley and then ovulate next day so that would make sense if I’m due to ovulate this weekend.

So weird how I got a decent line straight away on cb and nothing on the cheapies!

I'm not sure @LS2020 I use the Femometer cheapies - I think Littlebee from the June 24th - July testing buddies thread uses them though.

So decided to pay for the expensive clear blue advance OPKs this month as I was getting no where with the internet cheapies and I’m on CD9 and already got a flashing smiley for high fertility but pretty sure I’m not due to ovulate til the weekend. Has anyone ever used these ones?!

@AKcheer yeah and I kinda think that’s the point, even though it’s stressful, it’s different kind of stress and letting your body do what it needs to do and plus it’s something more productive than suffering through another TWW!

I keep wanting to do a staycation but then everywhere just feels as expensive as abroad and I’d rather go abroad 😂

@LS2020 really? It’s odd because even though I have so much stress going on I feel relaxed and I have no time to sit and think about this stuff. Don’t even know how you’re meant to feel. Wow triplets? Her body throwing eggs like it’s going out of fashion! Tbf I don’t think I’m at the point where I’m that desperate yet for 3 so I kinda see where she’s coming from but it is so hard when people don’t know. Maybe do try and think about it as the last time it will probs be the two of you and think what you’d probs want to do when you do have a screaming baby and all you want is a good sleep and bottle of wine and try enjoy that way and get in some good DTD practise 😉

mil pissed me off yesterday. It’s our anniversary today and she said ‘oh well, when it was BIL and SILs first anniversary they had three babies so be grateful that’s not you!’. They had triplets, caught first month of trying. Her point was that we can enjoy our day more (?) and that having the three was really stressful, and she doesn’t actually know we’re trying, but it did definitely upset me and DH. It’s like you say @CaribouCarafe it’s just frustrating when others seem to just get pregnant at the drop of a hat... or their pants 😂
It’ll happen. Good things take time and all that! This month 🤞🏻

@CaribouCarafe @mrswilso I feel you both - my line manager is about 12 weeks pregnant now and due 28th Jan which was the date I would have had if we conceived in April (i really need to stop googling my due dates from my period) 😂 so think gonna be really hard to see her go through it all.
In good news, had a lovely GP appt and going to get the ball rolling on testing so kinda hope they find something!!

@AKcheer one of my friends who struggled to conceive said it was the month she bought 2 new dogs and moved house is the month she found out so there’s deffo something in distractions!! We’re off to Lanza in September and not happy about the Spain news yesterday 😂 if this cycle doesn’t work, my OHs birthday is my next expected O date so he’s gonna have a brilliant time!! X

Oh that’s not too bad then, mine are 27 days too so I always feel that’s ok as well. Not long to go now!! I’m in my TWW also but the good thing is I’ve been so busy with life work and my parents I didn’t realise. I’ve been super stressed though this month around ovulation because of an emergency at my mom and dads so not sure how it’s gone. On the plus side hubby said he will book a nice UK break in a lodge in August and it falls around my ov dates so might be ok. Although sad that because of covid I can’t go on holidays LOL

@CaribouCarafe I had something similar last night - I've just come on today, was spotting last night in the evening - called my sister so see how she's getting on and she told me her best friend who already has two kids and started trying for third same time as me is going for her early scan next week 😭
I don't want to be jealous but come oooooon!! It's like the universe just keeps kicking me while I'm down this year!
Think I'll be having a glass of wine this afternoon HA! 😂
