Just want AF to arrive so new cycle can begin...

AF due in 3 days.

Am sure I'm out this month - negative FRER today and I have the usual PMS acne.

Just want my period to come already so that I can get this useless cycle over with and have a commiseration beer.

Just frustrating as have been taking pre-conception vitamins for months, cut out caffeine, no alcohol during TWW, have DTD every other day, tracked ovulation and with no success.

Anyone else fancy a moan whilst waiting for AF to show up?

@Ughmaybenot if they’ve not sent you a pot in the post, that’s hopefully a good sign 😂 one of the other forums I’m on I think someone had to get a hotel room near by just to avoid that situation though so that’s an idea better than a car park!
Wonder if they’ll give him hand sanitizer first... ouch 😬

Ughmaybenot · 20/09/2020 08:42

I don’t actually know to be fair @LS2020 I’ve barely had chance to speak to him the past couple of weeks. He’s been so busy with work. I’d imagine it’ll be in hospital.. we live more than 30 minutes from the hospital so it’s that or an awkward wank in the car park... it gets worse and worse 😂

LS2020 · 20/09/2020 08:28

@Ughmaybenot ah does he have to go in? For COVID reasons, my OH had to do at home but I can confirm there was nothing even remotely chill about having to do in the downstairs toilet, then get back dressed and into the car and find a specific wing in a hospital all within 30 minutes or the sample was ruined 😂 he had absolutely no desire to repeat so at least he can take a couple of moments after to at least enjoy his hard work 😂😂

@mrswilso how are you feeling? Yeah my rule is never until AF is late but I had to break the rule with going on holiday and it still didn’t turn out to be a good thing so realllyyy don’t test until after AF is due 😂

mrswilso · 19/09/2020 14:13

Oh 100% he's definitely got the easier side of the deal! @Ughmaybenot
Also...wank fodder 🤣 HAAAA!

Ughmaybenot · 19/09/2020 13:48

Imagine if I was at work at the time... ‘yea nah, brb just gotta give DH some wank fodder’ 🤮 😂
Poor sod. Still, overall that’s all he has to do, so I’d argue he has the better deal. Wank once under pressure vs medication and numerous blood tests 😂

mrswilso · 19/09/2020 11:26

Hahahaa! Aw bless him @Ughmaybenot 🤣
I wonder if he could use his phone during whilst he's there?? 😂 if so, you could help him along a little on the day 😉 wee cheeky message or pic...or some full on phonesex 🤭🤣

Ughmaybenot · 19/09/2020 10:56

Don’t apologise @Kaylamc it’s good to have you on board... so to speak!!

I’m glad you’re feeling okay about it @LS2020 I admire your outlook and your general strength. It’ll happen for you, I just know it.

I also admire that you can inadvertently do the SMEP @mrswilso 😂

Husband, darling husband, is now shocked and appalled he’ll have to go into a room in a hospital and wank into a pot 😂 I don’t know if he thought he would be able to do it in the comfort of his own home or what but he’s not happy 😂‘it’s too much pressure!!’

mrswilso · 18/09/2020 18:56

PS @LS2020 feel the need to mention that I have literally no reason to even consider testing other than the fact that I've unintentionally DTD perfectly for SMEP this cycle 🙃🤣

mrswilso · 18/09/2020 18:53

@Kaylamc no need to apologise 💕 if we've all learned one things it's that it doesn't matter how long you've been trying for, it still bloody sucks when AF shows up 😂 welcome to the fam 😘
I'm quite similar to you - had been on Cilest for about 14 years solid and was quite worried about my cycles for the first few months (even though they stayed very regular) but I thiiiink I'm most likely only just ovulating properly now over the last few cycles.
I'm on cycle 6 and started using the OPK sticks on cycle 3 so I can't really offer any advice other than to keep at the tracking and try not to stress out too much for now.

Aw I'm glad to hear you're feeling okay @LS2020 💕 some family fun will definitely help to keep you distracted for now - hope you're managing to enjoy the last of your break away.
I've tried to set a "no workday testing" rule over the last few cycles to give myself another reason to resist the temptation and it's worked well so far...but rules are made to be broken so we shall see 😈🤣

Kaylamc · 18/09/2020 17:56

Omg i feel so Shi*ty, i didnt read all if the thread before responding, glad you got answers and sending massive hugs and baby dust for all x x x

Kaylamc · 18/09/2020 17:52

@CaribouCarafe

I genuinely never expected to get so wrapped up in TTC - I'm usually a relaxed, laissez-faire person and always was of the mind that "if it doesn't happen naturally then I'll adopt".

Am tired of symptom spotting (without meaning to), of compulsively pissing on sticks, and of timing sex.

Also, tired of cutting out the things I enjoy for 3 weeks each month (caffeinated drinks, sushi, beer to name a few).

At school it seemed like pregnancy was guaranteed if not using contraception, now part of me wonders what was the point of using contraception at all!

Am just grumpy, but am glad that other people feel similarly! Grin

Hope you both get that BFP this month! Negative on 10DPO can still result in an eventual BFP! Fingers crossed Smile

OMG yes I completely agree !! They make out pregnancy is so guaranteed, that you can get pregnant right off the toilet seat!

You can't help but laugh at the irony taking contraception for soooooooo many years preventing a pregnancy and once TTC its so hard :(

Im so sorry to moan cause in reality compared to others I still early in my journey, month 2 with TTC for first.

Been on contraception for 16 years no idea of cycles and still havent had a AF yet since stopping, the OPK stick and my BBT all saying im not ovulating and cant help but worry, i just want it to come already so I can hopefully ovulate.

Great idea for a thread, its nice to share with others in the same situation so you dont feel so alone.

LS2020 · 18/09/2020 14:26

Thanks @mrswilso. Had a good cry last night and this morning about it all but thankfully it’s just a bit like AF so hasn’t felt too traumatic or anything. I’m on holiday with family so been nice to be normal around them and cheered me up.

Could you test Weds am? I think mine would have showed up then had I tested x

mrswilso · 18/09/2020 13:42

Oh shit @LS2020 I'm so sorry hun 💕 sending lots of hugs. I'm really gutted for you - glad you're keeping positive about it though.
I'm 6dpo today so just waiting it out again now. I'm off work until Wednesday after today and probably due AF Thursday/Friday so I don't think I'll test early this month - I'd be 9/10dpo Monday/Tuesday but it's probably far too early for any results anyway.
...in saying that, just typing about testing is making me want to POAS 🤣 I've been doing evening OPKs to settle the urge to dip something into a cup of pee!

LS2020 · 18/09/2020 08:32

@Ughmaybenot I know it’s so typical after 15 months isn’t it?! The good thing is it seems to just be one of those things and has no bearing going forward. In a way I’m glad to know I can be pregnant and hopefully it won’t take another 15 months 🤞🏻

Ughmaybenot · 18/09/2020 08:27

Oh sweetheart 😔 I am so so sorry @LS2020, that’s so cruel. Life can be so unfair 💗

LS2020 · 18/09/2020 08:11

@Ughmaybenot yeah it’s good to have something to work towards and helps treatment be more effective I think.

Sadly had a miscarriage last night so a bit emotionally drained this morning and a v rubbish last day to the holiday to say the least!

Ughmaybenot · 17/09/2020 10:59

Thank you @LS2020 😊 they’ve asked me to lose two/two and a half stone now to get more towards the middle of a ‘healthy’ BMI, so while I did not appreciate being told I’m overweight (I swear it’s 99% my ass and boobs😂) that does give me something else to focus on iyswim. They’ve done the referral so it’s not holding anything up but I think it’ll help to have that going on too. I think 😂

Anyway! How are you doing lovely?

LS2020 · 16/09/2020 16:43

@Ughmaybenot yeah it’s sadly one of those things that it feels better that you knew you were right but it’s not fantastic news. I’m glad you went and pushed for a diagnosis though and gets you where you want to be quicker 🙂

Ughmaybenot · 15/09/2020 16:42

Thanks guys 💗 I know people with PCOS get pregnant all the time, it was just a real ‘oh fuck’ moment when I realised my gut feeling that I had something wrong with me was right. I normally love being right 😂 plus it’s just shit to have yet another bloody syndrome. My rap sheet clearly needed adding to 🤦🏼‍♀️

LS2020 · 15/09/2020 13:53

Oh @Ughmaybenot sending you massive hugs but I am really glad you have managed to get some answers with it. Please don’t worry, lots of people with PCOS still get on fine and you’re young 😊 (even though I know we don’t feel it hah) and my nurse who did my day 21 bloods got pregnant naturally with PCOS and was telling me all about - she didn’t actually find out til 7 months because she was so used to not having cycles so still hope, just hopefully means as you say you can get more tailored help and movement on the process 😊

mrswilso · 15/09/2020 12:05

Aw hun, sending lots of hugs @Ughmaybenot
A fertility diagnosis is always a weird feeling I imagine - there's positives and negatives 💕

Ughmaybenot · 15/09/2020 09:38

Keeping everything crossed for you!

I’m... okay? I had a cry last night but I’ve thought and thought about it overnight and think now that at least we’re making progress now. I’m going in tomorrow to be weighed etc for BMI (dreading that tbh!!) and for more bloods and then I’ll be referred to the fertility clinic after that. Not sure how long that wait will be I guess but it’s all progress.

mrswilso · 15/09/2020 08:08

Glad you've got some answers @Ughmaybenot - and like you say at least it gets the ball rolling for some help. Hope you're feeling okay about it all 💕
CD21 and 3dpo here. Fingers crossed for month 6 🤞🏻✨

Ughmaybenot · 14/09/2020 21:09

Just got off the phone to the doctor, have been diagnosed with PCOS. Ffs 😂 on the plus side tho, she is going to refer me to the fertility clinic once they’ve done a sperm analysis for my husband, so no waiting for 12 months to be up.

LS2020 · 11/09/2020 17:36

@Ughmaybenot I hope so for us all 🤞🏻 Hope your bloods come back ok :)

@mrswilso haha hope you’re getting some tonight!
I can’t remember where I said but if I wasn’t TTC I don’t think I’d know I was pregnant. I didn’t honestly think it would happen this month so I haven’t kept as close of a track. I feel like unhelpfully they were all the standard pregnancy ones but could be AF too but they were more realistic than other symptoms I’ve googled in the past deffo!
Yeah so I had that weird CM which was like snot, I didn’t bleed on the depo and stuff so I wasn’t expecting implantation bleed for me so that made sense as yellow CM can indicate a small amount of blood.
Other thing I got was thrush which I’ve had before but I got on 7dpo which is when estrogen will only rise if you’re pg and can trigger it. That was my first thing and then got the CM so thought was to do with that. I also got sore boobs but wouldn’t say awful or anything at about 7-8dpo which I haven’t got that early for ages and I think my nipples look slightly different but I stare at them every day in TWW so that could be me.
The nausea and heartburn are my only main thing I think. It woke me up in the night on 9dpo and then today and yesterday been quite nauseous during the day. It’s been worse today but not sure if that’s in my head now. But all quite mild in all consideration I think, I don’t feel any different, just giddy haha
