Just want AF to arrive so new cycle can begin...

AF due in 3 days.

Am sure I'm out this month - negative FRER today and I have the usual PMS acne.

Just want my period to come already so that I can get this useless cycle over with and have a commiseration beer.

Just frustrating as have been taking pre-conception vitamins for months, cut out caffeine, no alcohol during TWW, have DTD every other day, tracked ovulation and with no success.

Anyone else fancy a moan whilst waiting for AF to show up?

@CaribouCarafe nooo sorry that was worded badly. Since we started ttc, it’s only been (only, ha, feels like forever!) 2 months waiting for an appointment.

CaribouCarafe · 08/12/2020 13:58

@Lee0511 fingers crossed for you for this month!

@Ughmaybenot you've been waiting for diagnosis/help for 10 months now? Gosh that's a long time. Fingers crossed that they prescribe some Clomid for you!

Oh ideal @Lee0511 fingers crossed for you 😊

Have made an appointment to speak to my doctor on Thursday morning, going to basically beg her to try me on clomid, I’m just so keen to get something moving. I hate all this waiting around... and the fact I’m now over 10 months in and got absolutely nowhere 🤦🏼‍♀️

Lee0511 · 06/12/2020 16:37

@Ughmaybenot thank you ☺️ I actually got a peak reading Saturday morning and it dropped again today so I'm hoping I'm ovulating today 👏

We are getting married next Nov so I'm really hoping we conceive and have the baby before the wedding but what will be will be

Ughmaybenot · 06/12/2020 09:12

Hey @Lee0511 I’m not the best one to ask, but hope someone else can shed some light for you!

Fingers crossed you get your bfp soon. Try not to stress too much, you’re still right at the start and you want to try and keep some of the fun of ‘trying’’

Hello lovely people, happy Friday!

I was wondering if someone could help me work out if I've ovulated! Confused I'm very new to ttc we started trying only a week ago for our 1st baby and it just so happened to coincide with the week before my ovulation prediction on my app. Since then I've gotten the following ovulation test results:

Mon - low
Tues - high but a very faint line (I then realised you can scan them in!)
Wed - high 25%
Thurs - high 49%
Today - high 40%

If it continues to drop is it likely that I'm ovulating today? (It's also the day the app predicted). It's too early for the app to tell me whether or not it's my peak based on the scanned in results 🙈

I've also been getting EWCM all week but it slowed down quite a bit wed but it's definitely still there. But apart from that and feeling a bit clogged (sorry tmi) I've had no other symptoms.

Thank you so much for any advice you can give. We haven't told anyone that we are ttc and the journey even though I've just started feels so lonely especially when I'm stressing trying to spot every sign to tell me whether I'm actually ovulating or not. Blush

Ughmaybenot · 03/12/2020 09:28

@CaribouCarafe I know, it’s such a pain! Cost doesn’t seem to be prohibitive for us as a couple but fucked if I can find a decent clinic even remotely locally 🤦🏼‍♀️
Anyway! How is everyone doing? @LS2020 @mrswilso

How are people feeling about the COVID vaccine? I’m so on the fence about whether to get it or not. I work for the nhs so will be one of the earlier cohorts but it says in the guidance to not have it if pregnant, and that ‘to be on the safe side’ to avoid pregnancy for two months after. Chances are I wouldn’t even get pregnant in that time anyway I guess seeing as I’ve to wait so long for the fertility clinic 🤷🏼‍♀️
What are you guys feeling about it?

CaribouCarafe · 01/12/2020 14:52

@Ughmaybenot oh no, that's a huge delay! If you can spare the money, it sounds like private is the way to go just for peace of mind (I have no idea what the cost is though!).

Ughmaybenot · 01/12/2020 12:42

@CaribouCarafe you are so right, there are absolutely positives to this, and you’ve the right idea to list them like that. It can be so easy to feel hopeless sometimes!
I had a terrible wobble yesterday. Having been told I’d be waiting another week or two from now, I thought I’d chase up, and have been told they’ve cancelled all their clinics for now, and I’ll be looking at feb/March next year now, earliest. Fucking nightmare.
Seriously looking into going private now, I hate this aimless middle ground.

CaribouCarafe · 29/11/2020 05:17

I think just being their and being able to empathise is a help in itself, @Ughmaybenot. In a way, I can imagine it would be nice to see your partner 'get it' in a way that you may have been feeling for longer?

We had a small housewarming party on Friday (we don't live in the UK - no lockdown here!) and one of our close friends came with his adorable 8 month old baby. It stung a bit when he described parenting his son as "Easy to make, hard to bring up" - him and his DW managed to get pregnant immediately (they didn't want to try before marriage and she conceived a month after the wedding). I was standing there thinking, "It's not that easy to make!"

I think the silver lining for me is that if I'd managed to get pregnant earlier this year, then my parents and family wouldn't have been around for any of the key moments and it would probably have been a very lonely experience. Now a vaccine for COVID is round the corner, pregnancy and the newborn stage will (presumably) be more 'normal' and easier...

Any updates @LS2020 and @mrswilso ?

Oh I’m sorry @CaribouCarafe that’s disappointing. Next time 🤞🏻 I so want good news for you all.

Oh amazing @LS2020 hope you get some serious answers and progress made ASAP. That does help, thanks 😘

Feeling a bit hopeless this weekend. My husband, normally fairly stoic, had a bit of a wobble last night. His best friends baby was one yesterday, another of his close friends just announced they’re expecting and other two had babies in the last month. He’s really struggling 😔 but I am glad he talked to me about it. Even if I can’t really help.

CaribouCarafe · 23/11/2020 14:12

@Ughmaybenot and @LS2020 great to hear that you'll both be getting some (more) answers soon!

Got a BFN last night - don't know why I even bothered with the test!

Hi all, sorry been away while I had AF and a bit of a break. How are you all?

@Ughmaybenot I finally got my call from fertility today! Been sent for day 3 bloods (those same ones the GP sent me home from as I didn’t need 😡) and for a scan and hycosy. We got referred end of august if that helps x

Ughmaybenot · 23/11/2020 13:49

I’d be chuffed @CaribouCarafe 😂

Just rang gynae... again, they’ll be sick to death of me 😂 and they’ve said there’s not many ahead of me now, and that I should expect to have my appointment within the next month, and to call to chase again if I’ve heard nothing in two weeks... which is a lot better than being told last time it’ll be late January at the earliest 🤔

CaribouCarafe · 22/11/2020 10:49

@Ughmaybenot my dad once got my mum a vacuum cleaner for christmas. It did not go down well!!!

OP posts:
Ughmaybenot · 22/11/2020 10:01

@CaribouCarafe goodness knows, I wonder that myself sometimes! The most exciting thing on my Christmas wish list is a new vacuum cleaner 😂

Well fingers crossed anyway, wouldn’t it be lovely to have some good news?

CaribouCarafe · 22/11/2020 08:40

@Ughmaybenot Sunday is a work day for me (not that much is getting done!). I then get to celebrate the end of the day by trying to sell my cooker... why did any of us want to grow up and be adults? Hmm

AF is now 3 days late for me so will probably do a test when I get home tonight. But from my calculations I don't think we DTD in the right window...

OP posts:
Ughmaybenot · 22/11/2020 08:35

@CaribouCarafe yea I guess it probably is really. I don’t know about more regular but I live in eternal hope something might go right at some point! I’m still losing weight, Altho not as quickly as I initially was, and I’m hoping that helps.
Haha I think most of my late teenage weekends were spent hungover riding... or still-drunk riding 😂 nothing like it to clear the head.
What are your plans for the day?

CaribouCarafe · 22/11/2020 08:30

@Ughmaybenot I think AF arriving is a celebration of sorts? Maybe your cycle is getting more regular now?

I can't imagine horse riding with a hangover, the thought of it is giving me a headache!

OP posts:
Ughmaybenot · 22/11/2020 08:25

@CaribouCarafe yea, it’s just so unfair, at risk of sounding like a child 😂 okay actually, Altho I haven’t moved yet 😂 going riding in a bit, that’ll sort me right out.
To add insult to injury, my period started last night.. I don’t know whether I’m relieved it’s a normal cycle tho.

CaribouCarafe · 22/11/2020 05:50

@SMAI94 it's possible that you just haven't built up enough HCG for a positive test yet. If AF doesn't arrive as planned then test again and see. Fingers crossed though!

@Ughmaybenot ooft that's so irritating - had one of my friends complain to me about accidentally getting pregnant. She doesn't know I'm trying, but it was really quite rage-inducing! How's the hangover? Wink.

OP posts:
Ughmaybenot · 21/11/2020 22:25

Haven’t a clue I’m afraid @SMAI94 my cycle is a disaster generally, but hope someone else will be able to help you!

One of my friends called earlier to say his girlfriend is pregnant. Oops moment apparently. Wonderful. They don’t know we’re trying but that did sting. Wine by the bottle tonight 🍷

SMAI94 · 20/11/2020 18:58

Sooo a bit of a long one but wondering if anyone has any advice!?

I have been using the clear blue digital ovulation tests this month we did the deeds on the day I got a Smile and two days later I had pinky discharge on & off for 2 days....

End of the week I had yellow tinted discharge (sorry for the Info)

1/2 weeks later feeling sick couldn’t be sick but sort of that’s sick feeling in my chest really felt like I was pregnant, sore boobs & white creamy discharge.

Today 2 weeks after it said I was ovulating I did a test and it’s negative Sad I’m due my period in 2 days...but surely if I was ovulating 2 weeks ago I would be able to get a positive result?

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Thank you x

Ughmaybenot · 17/11/2020 14:06

Yesssssss @CaribouCarafe So excited for my tea now 😂 might just get me through this afternoon 😂

CaribouCarafe · 17/11/2020 13:17

Haha a vat of mac and cheese sounds fantastic. Especially if you sprinkle some bread crumbs on top and bake till the top bit is crispy (am salivating just thinking about it).
