Just want AF to arrive so new cycle can begin...

AF due in 3 days.

Am sure I'm out this month - negative FRER today and I have the usual PMS acne.

Just want my period to come already so that I can get this useless cycle over with and have a commiseration beer.

Just frustrating as have been taking pre-conception vitamins for months, cut out caffeine, no alcohol during TWW, have DTD every other day, tracked ovulation and with no success.

Anyone else fancy a moan whilst waiting for AF to show up?

Thanks @CaribouCarafe Flowers it’s rubbish isn’t it? Feeling at such a loss as to what else to do. It’s so hard not to get your hopes up every time.
Aaah well if you do, we expect photos 😊

CaribouCarafe · 19/01/2021 10:44

@Ughmaybenot - sorry to hear that you're still waiting for an appointment and have yet another mega-cycle.

I'm about 2 days away from AF, did a test last night (I know... I know) which was negative, of course. Pretty sure it's not going to be a BFP this month anyway, even though we got all the timing right Sad

I'm just at a loss as to what more can be done - I'm taking prenatal supplements, using Pre-Seed, doing OPKs and timing DTD, avoiding alcohol and 'bad' foods, I don't smoke, I'm generally pretty healthy. Just sick and tired of this now.

On the plus side, I'm meeting a kitten tonight that we may or may not be adopting which will be a nice distraction!

I don’t think that is weird @Lbiddis I think that’s very sweet actually, thank you.
I’m so sorry to hear about your troubles, there’s no such thing as good timing I know but that’s awful timing. Sending love Flowers

I’ve nothing to report, really. I’m on another long cycle, currently day 60, and still waiting on the fertility clinic appointment.

How is everyone else doing? X

CaribouCarafe · 19/01/2021 06:29

@Lbiddis not weird at all! I'm a semi-pro Mumsnet stalker myself, so appreciate the company Wink.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mc, what awful timing as well. I really hope that things work out for you very soon - one of my friends managed to have a successful pregnancy the month after her mc, so there's a lot of hope for you Flowers

@CaribouCarafe @LS2020 @Ughmaybenot @mrswilso I hope this doesn’t come across weirdly but I’ve just spent the last 2 hours reading your whole thread. I’m so so sorry for everything you’ve all been through. I am in tears reading your journeys and I just wanted to say I really hope everything works out for you

@mrswilso are you ok? I can’t imagine how hard the past month was. How are you doing?

I’m quite new on here, had an early mc on Christmas Eve but fairly lucky it was all over quickly. The kind people on mumsnet really helped me on Christmas Day just having someone to talk to. Sitting here expecting AF tomorrow, feeling all the usual cramps and just feeling sad about what I lost. Sending thoughts to you all x x

CaribouCarafe · 18/01/2021 12:57

@mollyaimee sorry I don't have any experience of the pill, however I thought the implantation bleeding normally happens a week before AF is meant to arrive (don't quote me on that!)?

If you're getting negative tests after AF is due then I think unfortunately it might just be a weird period, but am very much hoping for a happier result! Flowers

Not sure if people are still posting on here or not but would appreciate someone’s opinion on something:
TTC month 1 (now technically on month 2) tracked cycle using Flo after coming off the pill in November. First AF 15/12/20-21/12/20 so was expecting to ovulate potentially around 28/29th Dec according to Flo - all tests so far have been negative and I was due to start AF 2 days ago. On that day, I had very light spotting in the morning which I thought could potentially be implantation bleeding but then it became more bleeding rather than spotting, but nowhere near as heavy as last month. Last month was pretty heavy for most of the 6 days, whereas this month, I’m only on day 3 and already seemed to be getting a lot of (sorry for tmi) dark brownish blood. Is this just a regular period and last time was heavier due to it being first period off the pill? Sorry if that’s a long post but I know people have different experiences with implantation bleeding and I think I just need to get the idea that it’s implantation bleeding out of my head!!😂

Munni2021 · 14/01/2021 14:59

Light Bleeding since 4dpo and still at 6dpo anyone had same???

Ughmaybenot · 05/01/2021 08:59

Oh gosh @Sunbird24 hope the worst of it is short lived!

Sunbird24 · 04/01/2021 17:45

AF has arrived with a vengeance. I knew it was meant to be heavy after a MC but didn’t realise it would be this bad! 😳

On the positive side, hopefully this means I may be able to do a FET this month...

Ughmaybenot · 04/01/2021 14:57

Oh the limbo is a killer @Busybird123 ! I will keep everything crossed for you.

I’m an idiot. Have got my hopes up again 🤦🏼‍♀️ Currently cd 45, no sign of af (not unusual for me) but I had a day of super light spotting three days ago and now I’ve got it in my head it could’ve been IB. For sure it isn’t but it’s so hard not to get your hopes up!

Busybird123 · 04/01/2021 14:44

Lovely to get support here , I'm on cd 21 after a weird 3 day bleed, rang GP and she says its either IB or very early period - like 10 days early. Now i need to wait for the weekend to see will another period come when it was supposed to or test for pregnancy. Being in Limbo land is no fun :-/ ... 2 years TTC #1 :-(

Ughmaybenot · 31/12/2020 10:59

Oh that sucks @Sunbird24 Sad sorry it’s all taking so long!

I’m still waiting for our fertility clinic appointment, and am on day 42 of my current cycle, negative test yesterday morning. So still in no mans land, of sorts.

Sunbird24 · 31/12/2020 00:35

Still waiting. MC started 27 Nov, passed the embryo 1 Dec, bleeding stopped 3 Dec, had negative pregnancy test by 11 Dec. May have ovulated around 17/18 Dec as I did get spots on my face which is my usual indicator.
Feels vaguely ridiculous to be desperate for AF to show up given all the effort that’s gone into getting pregnant, but she’s the one thing I need before I can start getting ready to try again.

Corastiredmummy · 24/12/2020 00:13

Oh god help!! So today (23rd December) my period is 3 days late but I’ve had a negative test. Tomorrow will make it 34 days since my last period started, a 34 day cycle? Come on, I MUST be pregnant, right?!! I am never this late, the longest I’ve ever gone is a 31 day cycle. And it’s even harder as I’ve lied to my hubby and told him I already got my P as I want it to be a huge, amazing surprise for him when I can finally tell him we are having baby No.2 (he knows we are trying, of course and is absolutely desperate for another baby). So I can’t even share my anxiety with him, I’m just having to internalise everything (I know it will be worth it if I am in fact pregnant and I get to tell him tomorrow on Christmas Eve) but still, it is very hard keeping my excitement and extreme frustration at having a negative test, at bay!! The waiting is so so hard 😭 And I have zero patience. TTC takes over your damn brain!

Bethpalmer20 · 17/12/2020 12:42

Hi everyone,

I'm completely new here so now sure I'm even posting in the right place/thread!

Just wanted some advice. TTC for 3 years now (male factory infertility) just been referred for IVF.

I've been taking BBT for the last 2 months. Last month luteal phase was 14 days long, this month I'm currently 17dpo, no sign of AF and temps still above coverline.

Would be so grateful if someone could take a look at my chart and let me know what you think?

mrswilso · 15/12/2020 13:45

Sorry I've not been around all! Took a few weeks away from MN as things still haven't progressed naturally for me 🥺
I chose to opt out of the MVA that was booked a few weeks back as I couldn't cope with how invasive it all seemed so I'm heading in tomorrow for the pessaries for home management.
Feeling quite apprehensive about it all but keen to get it over and done with before we head into a new year...
Just catching up on what I've missed here - will pop back later 😘 hope everyone's doing okay ❤️

Sunbird24 · 10/12/2020 18:53

Thank you @CaribouCarafe, there just seem to be so many options I don’t know what to go for! It helps to hear from someone else who’s peeing on things, in the nicest way possible... 😂

CaribouCarafe · 10/12/2020 11:27

Hi @Sunbird24 am sorry to hear about the MMC, sending you all the best for the next cycle Flowers

I've been using Mommed Ovulation strips: www.amazon.com/Ovulation-Pregnancy-Predictors-Collection-Accurately/dp/B07FNDCK95?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

I don't have anything to compare them to, but they have great reviews and I've had very consistent results with them for months now. The results lines are very clear.

Evening all! My miscarriage appears to be finishing, (1st attempt IVF, fresh transfer, MMC) the clinic want to try a FET in Jan/Feb depending on how quickly my cycle gets back on track. It’ll be a natural cycle so I need to know when I ovulate for us to time the transfer to match up. Have you any recommendations for OPKs please?

Ughmaybenot · 09/12/2020 14:04

It’s awful tho isn’t it @CaribouCarafe this weird state of limbo, completely prepared for pregnancy but no idea when it’s actually going to happen. It’s the worst. I’ve everything crossed for you!

@gln1989 tbh I’m the total opposite, to my mind I’d rather just know if it was a negative otherwise I let myself start with all the wishful thinking and then it just makes me even more upset at that damned single line. The result wouldn’t change just from not testing iyswim?
Gosh that all sounds so doom and gloom. Of course I really hope it’s a positive for you, but false hope can be so damaging ime.

gln1989 · 08/12/2020 15:48

Hi ladies,

I hope you don't mind me jumping on. I am currently 15DPO and AF was due today (usually she welcomes me when i wake up :-(

As of yet i have she hasn't come, i would normally have a couple of sharp cramps the day before or the day she is due and i haven't had any of these.

I am so scared to test as i had a BFN at 9dpo and 12dpo but i am normally on time with my cycles so i am holding out for some hope that i could still be in with a chance.

Anyone else get scared to test in fear of the BFN again? Should i hold out another couple of days in case she shows up?

Good luck ladies I'm sending baby dust to all xx

CaribouCarafe · 08/12/2020 15:35

*medication is INcompatible with pregnancy...otherwise there wouldn't be an issue!

OP posts:
CaribouCarafe · 08/12/2020 15:34

@Ughmaybenot not quite as awful (but still super frustrating!) then!

I put off getting treated for a (mild yet annoying) illness that I've been dealing with for the past year because the medication for it is compatible with pregnancy (and it's a 6-month course of meds). So am hoping that in January my uterus sorts itself out so that by 2022 I can finally get on the meds I need! That having been said, I did put off TTC last month...so only have myself to blame really!
