@LS2020 don’t mind at all! We’ve paid £150 for the initial consultation, which includes the first phone call, internal ultrasound and amh blood test and then the follow up and planning telephone call.

They seem pretty reasonable so far, which is good cause choices in the south west are seriously limited for private clinics for anything!

@Ughmaybenot my clinic aren’t doing hycosys and don’t offer private so they’re finding out if doctor will ok a private HCG - do you mind me asking how much yours is? They couldn’t give me a price, have to ring up Nuffield but cba until doctor agrees can do it 😂

Blimey @mrswilso props to you for holding out that long! I had medical intervention the first time round (many years ago, natural pregnancy) as it was discovered at 12 week scan. I had a surgical booked for the 27th this time as I wasn’t prepared for it to take another 4 weeks, but I’m kind of taking it as progress that my body worked out for itself what to do this time. Did have a fun trip to A&E in an ambulance on the 21st though, probable ruptured ovarian cyst, not that the hospital did anything about it!

I say "around that time" a lot for my MC 😕 mine started on 10th October - confirmed 29th October - intervention 16th and 18th December but didn't go until 19th...I was holding out for my body to do it naturally in November, it was miserable but I was trying so hard to avoid intervention as long as I could bare to...

Ahh @mrswilso we must have had ours quite near each other, I found out on 18 Nov and it started on 27 Nov, 2 days after her letter was published. I would have been due 30 Jun. I don’t have any particularly strong feelings about her either way, it was just painful to have all these people saying we must talk more about miscarriage at a time when actually I really wished I didn’t have to. I’m only telling my BFF, my boss and my deputy this time round.

I'm right there with you ladies 😔 today's been hard between the Harry/Megan story and the boss' baby arriving this morning. I'm also due on this week...probably Friday/Saturday. I'm about 9/10dpo I think. Haven't tested early and have lost my positivity for this cycle already...I already know I'm gonna be upset when AF arrives and that's annoying me as I'm usually quite a rational person when it comes to biology...

Probably doesn't help much that I'm really not a fan of Megan (or Harry anymore for that matter) 😬🤭 aaand when I seen the bump and worked out the timings and all that...she was pregnant with her next when she wrote the open letter on miscarriage - I was going through mine at the time she released it and I didn't like that she'd made public comment back then after they'd made a fuss about their privacy - I was fuming when I realised! I'm know I'm just a bit touchy right now but that riled me a bit...okay a lot 🤣

FET confirmed for 1030 on Friday. I’m a little sad today as after the article about Megan’s miscarriage managed to be released while I was waiting for mine to start, the photo with the announcement of her pregnancy shows she’s about as far along as I would be if I hadn’t lost it. Really happy for them, just wistful for myself, and can’t tell anyone in real life without sounding mawkish or self-centred.

@Ughmaybenot yeah unfortunately it’s a world of you get what you pay for! Even if it’s just getting the one test as in a months time it’ll on by Hycosy left. I read a bit too much about IVF though and freaked myself on that process so maybe I’m happy to buy myself a few more weeks 😂

LH surge has started this morning, so I’ll call the clinic on Monday and arrange an appointment for my FET, think it’ll be Friday

I’d definitely loook into whether it might be affordable for you @LS2020. Like I said, I hate that it’s even an option to be honest but it’s so much faster and because it’s essentially a business, the ‘service’ is so much better!
I’ve gone private before, for something largely unrelated when I was a teenager, but that was when my ma still paid for everything for me 😂

@Ughmaybenot so glad you’re making progress! I need to ring and see if I can do my Hycosy private to speed things up I think. I’m still basically stuck at the tests stage

@Sunbird24 thanks lovely! Fingers crossed!! The consultant said she thought it would probably be a case of a couple of cycles of clomid-equivalent (I forget the name!) and that would probably work so 🤞🏻

Hi @Ughmaybenot, annoying as it is that you’ve had to go this way at least now you’ll feel like you have a bit more control. Hopefully they’ll find something that’s easy to either fix or work round!

Have been a bit distant from this for a while, sorry! Hope everyone is okay!

Had my initial telephone consultation with the private fertility clinic today. The doctor confirmed what we already knew really, that everything points towards issues with me and ovulation. We’ve been booked in for blood tests and an internal ultrasound for me and a second semen analysis for DH in two weeks time.
It makes me so annoyed that we had to go private but it is definitely worth it so far, everything is moving so quickly!

@Sunbird24 thank you - agreed with them to retest next month as all my results were a bit weird. Had a google and said sometime can get thrown off by dieting/ lots of weight loss and I lost 5kg in January so hoping it’s that and going to have a normal month to check.

@mrswilso my first cycle after was weird too - think I ovulated about 4 days late in the end. That is a fab effort! I’m due to O Valentine’s Day and need to start ramping up but been so tired this week, no idea why!

@LS2020 well that sucks 😩 hope it was just a weird cycle for you this month.

I think I'm having a weird one too - this is my first fully natural cycle since the MC and I got what I would expect to see for my usual peak on CD14 (early) stayed up the usual 48hrs and went down to normal CD17 then since CD20 I've been getting almost peaks (darker than control by a good bit so read as peak, but not my usual dystealers)
Don't really know what to make of it. We've DTD CD9/11/13/14/16/18/20 so I've hit them all anyway 😂

Not expecting a re test at the moment for my OH but I think they do if they decide on IVF so will have to see.

Had my day 3 blood results back and apparently I’ve got low oestrogen so asked me to retake next month and see what result says. I ended up having a weird AF which was 3 days early so not sure if that’s impacted it. Rang fertility clinic but they said I had to wait until I had all my tests back (can’t get Hycosy done as they’re not offered atm) to speak to doctor if I need supplement 😩

I’ve gone from waiting for AF to arrive, to waving her goodbye and testing for my LH surge. Should be later this week, fingers crossed, so embryo transfer late next week...
