I'm 31 TTC #1 after a MC in March this year, AF has just finished and I'm on CD6 and all ready to go for my 2nd full cycle.

This month I will be tracking with opks, CB connected, BBT and following SMEP plan.

@SmileyT hahaha after last months sad attempts of OPK testing for 19 days straight and not getting a single smiley face and the previous month was a smiley face pretty much every day, I can’t be asked with them this time around 😂 How have you been??

@Hayleylou89 better to be safe than sorry I know! I’m sooo happy for you gurl you don’t even understand! So glad you’re one of the few to get their BFPs especially soon after your meeting! Wishing you a healthy, successful pregnancy & a swift, smooth delivery - you got this!

@WellHurrahAndHuzzah thanks hun! How’s it going for you?

Hayleylou89 · 28/05/2020 11:06

Hallo ladies ,
I just wanted to share something. I was reading online that only 1% of women have multiple miscarriages in a row. You can imagine it doesn't make me feel very hopeful. But I know of enough cases around that this 1% is questionable( and also many successful stories after). And today in my research to calm my thoughts I found this:

I have had two early miscarriages. Should I have special testing?
A: Since most early miscarriages are caused by problems specific to that fertilized egg, and miscarriage overall is relatively common, most experts do not recommend special testing until you have had three early miscarriages (or two miscarriages in women 40 years and older). At that point it is termed "recurrent" miscarriage and further testing may be needed. Studies have shown that even after a woman has experienced three consecutive miscarriages, her chance of the next pregnancy being normal is still about 70%. All women who have a pregnancy loss later in pregnancy should have further testing.

I hope that info helps someone in their journey too:D
Hoping for many healthy pregnancies in this chat group soon :*

Welcome back @Niisa Smile

WellHurrahAndHuzzah · 28/05/2020 08:43

@Jazper I know exactly what you mean, all best laid plans and all that Wink

Sounds like you've got lots to keep you occupied!! I'm still pretty busy working full time partly from home, and we're renovating the garden. I'm trying to stay healthy and strong by running, walking, cycling and yoga.

These threads seem to move really quickly, I feel bad that I can't keep up with everyone!!

Hayleylou89 · 28/05/2020 07:35

Hey @Niisa Thank u and welcome back!! 6 weeks an no dtd thats good going... me and the hubby have said none of that for 9 months now 🤦🏽‍♀️ will have to resort to other things as we are paranoid something will happen and its just not worth it to us xx especially as we got no real answers as to what happened so were doing all we can this time to be extra careful xx good luck this cycle lovely 😘

VP91x · 28/05/2020 07:05

@Ejb86 annoying isnt it! Post-MC my cycles have been 21, 24, 31 but I didnt track OV properly and now seeing how this pans out 🤔 xx

Ejb86 · 28/05/2020 06:58

Forgot to tag you @VP91x

Ejb86 · 28/05/2020 06:58

Not a clue with my LP. My average since MC has been 6 days. Last month it was 5! So I'm absolutely clueless. Just have to let it be what it will be.

Pre MC I was a 28 day regular as clockwork, but got pregnant dtd only on cd18. So at a rough guess my LP was about 10 days.

VP91x · 28/05/2020 06:47

@Ejb86 Crazy how just over 0.2 degrees can affect my mood 🙄. Do you know how long your LP is?

I wish I'd tracked better before and knew mine. How are you feeling xx

Ejb86 · 28/05/2020 06:21

Whoop whoop @VP91x that's good news! I'm CD32 8dpo and looking forward to testing over the weekend!

VP91x · 28/05/2020 05:53

Morning all 😊

So CD30 now/9DPO. Temp went back up to 36.53 this morning so I'm feeling a little happier.

@SmileyT what was your CB this morning?

Hope everyone is okay? Xx

SmileyT · 28/05/2020 04:02

Hi @Niisa welcome back... sounds like you have a good plan sorted for yourself and one that isn't going to stress you out which I always think is the best method of ttc 👌🏾

@Renna spoke to OH about a dog last night and he was like 'really!? You don't like animals' but I feel like maybe this could be a proper discussion if AF arrives something else to focus on, he has always wanted one anyway so we'll see ☺️

Hey ladies! Moving over from the April & May threads!

I’m 30 TTC baby #1 for me - hubby has a son from previous marriage. I had an MMC, found out at my 12 week scan in mid-March that there was no heartbeat and no growth after 7 weeks. Went for the natural route & MC started a week later. First AF came bang on 4 weeks later and 2nd AF came last week on CD27. This month I’m gonna try SMEP to an extent by DTD every other night of my fertile window and then 3 nights in a row around when I’m meant to be ovulating based on last 2 cycles. No temping, OPKs or anything this month - it drove me crazy last month!!!
Fx for more BFPs in here this month! Congrats @Hayleylou89 soooo happy for you hun xxxxxx

Renna · 27/05/2020 22:56

@Bellabubble thank you :) I knew what you meant when said few days behind me lol xx 🤞🤞🌈 to our month xx aw congratulations for the move I bet that's lovely xxx
@SmileyT all my family and friends shocked over got a dog tbf as I've also never been a dog girl but after MC something switched in me and I wanted to get a puppy to add to our family . As we were obvs expecting to do so . Think the motherly instinct kinda switched on for me as I was expecting. Will be lovely having her grow in the family knowing she actually helped us get through these tough times xxx

Thanks @HopeForRainbowbaby xx deffo and I work from home regardless of lockdown so be nice to have company xx
Thank you @elliew818 I do take the cranberry supplements but funny enough ran out for a few days and got the UTI I think ! I'm googling the kegel muscle exercises now you've said that, this is a good shout thank you:) xxx

MrsLLister · 27/05/2020 22:26

Hi guys. So glad I’ve found something I can chat to people on who are in the same boat. I’m 25 first time TTC. I came off the pill early March and thought I’d feel brilliant. I’ve felt shocking since the only time I’ve felt myself is during my period weirdly. The rest of the time I have migraines, cramps or just generally crap. When I had periods before cerazette I had periods every 28 days but my cycles have been a bit longer so really hard to track. Im using Flo and clue but don’t really trust them. According to clue my period is due 8th June. Hope others can relate :)

HE88 · 27/05/2020 22:02

@Niisa here is the new thread 😊 xx

elliew818 · 27/05/2020 21:32

Thanks @SmileyT and @Renna for the advice on OPKs, I spoke to the DH and we decided to leave it as an option for next month.
Sorry to hear what you’re going through @Saim86 and @2020wish and glad you’re both getting somewhere with your GPs, they can be so useless sometimes and very unsympathetic towards MC.
@renna I don’t know if this will help but I struggled with UTIs in the past and I take cranberry supplements daily as a preventative measure...also someone mentioned to me that a UTI can be a side effect of weak kegel muscles if you get UTI after DTD so doing kegel exercises has helped me massively.
Well done @bellabubble and @Dipsy77 for persevering with DTD in tricky situations!!!

Bellabubble · 27/05/2020 20:54

@VP91x thank you! I’m soooo happy to be finally in! There were definitely times when we’d freeze to check we hadn’t heard so eone going down the stairs (to make matter worse - my parents bedroom was past ours so if they needed to go downstairs it would mean walking right by our door way 😂 I think hubby’s swimmers were probably quite stressed out at that lol! Xx

I had am amazon delivery today 🙌🏻 Co q10 for egg quality (oh is going to take some too as it helps sperm too) then calc fluor for tww - but wondering whether to start taking it now - it seems to have a heap of other benefits too!!

Jazper · 27/05/2020 20:52

@WellHurrahAndHuzzah
The first day seems to last the longest though! That and the last couple before you test 😂
As for plans to test early; I always say 'that's it, I'm waiting until I'm at least a week late next time' and then next time I'm testing at 6 days early on the dot and squinting at the stick while holding it in to the light, willing myself to see a second line 🙈🤣
I'm really distracted at the moment though, what with the kids home full time, and me and dh are in the throws of buying a semi derelict period property to renovate so I'm really hoping that all keeps me occupied enough to hold off from testing... she says, browsing pregnancy tests on DrFertility website in readiness 😁
How about you?

DBTJ · 27/05/2020 20:45

@SmileyT

I check all through the day when going toilet and even when in the shower. It kind of became the norm. So now I can identify what it's like when ovulating and when I'm not. It does move position but you need to look out for the consistency. As I said I was having faint opks but I knew I was ovulating by checking then I got positive day after. Try it start 2nite.

HE88 · 27/05/2020 20:34

@SmileyT I'm not sure it doesn't say anything on them I've bought them now and give them a go the fact that it said hormonal activity made me buy them. Xx

@Dipsy77 I did SMEP the cycle I fell pregnant and didn't dtd after the 1 day break I think it's more for luck than anything else tbh. Your poor dp. Xx

Dipsy77 · 27/05/2020 20:27

So been doing SMEP this month, today was last day of three in a row dtd and I'm supposed to wait a day and Dtd one last time. By that point I'll be 4dpo so I don't see the point of the last one plus my DPs back is in pieces and he has gone numb and has lost sensation in various parts of his back and groin so I think we are going to have to leave it. I'm hoping I've done enough this month because I can't see is been able to dtd again anytime soon, plus dp is going to have to speak to docs again but until he can get to a physiotherapist i don't see it getting any better x

HE88 · 27/05/2020 20:26

@DBTJ sorry that was poor wording from me I meant how much vitamin d are you meant to take in a day. I've used these preconception tablets before but I've been using the vitamins the midwife gave me but nearly finished them. Xx

SmileyT · 27/05/2020 20:26

@HE88 can you take that omega 3 throughout cycle, I read on another thread (no idea if it's accurate) that you should take Evening Primrose oil after ovulation 🤔 the preconception tabs look good I take folic acid, vit D (I think it's 10mg you need) and iron separately.

@DBTJ I'd love to get closer to my cervical position pattern but it just seems to move all the time, especially after sex and this is the first month I've had an EWCM after trying grapefruit juice to help. Do you check Cervical position at the same time everyday? x
