I'm 31 TTC #1 after a MC in March this year, AF has just finished and I'm on CD6 and all ready to go for my 2nd full cycle.

This month I will be tracking with opks, CB connected, BBT and following SMEP plan.

@WellHurrahAndHuzzah thank your all jokes on chat ! your comment on cat being pregnant was very funny 😹😹😹

I also dread pregnancy announcement from my surrounding now ..@Jazper too bad that test was negative today but you are not out until period arrives.

@2020wish all best wishes for your second blood test 😘

2020wish · 04/06/2020 14:32

@MichT4 this would of been a steroid he was taking and he made him have a really high sex drive but unfortunately affected his sperm regardless of his drive. Once he stopped taking it his sex drive completely disappeared and his day to day energy. But he’s noticed this week he’s feelings good again. Could be concidence but here’s hoping. Google what it is ur fella is taking and see what the side effects are?

@DBTJ I know how you feel. I get so down thinking to how I’ve been pregnant 3 time’s this year and lost them back to back. It’s a empty feeling I can’t describe. I’m so confused as I carried my daughter fine 10 years ago. On the pill.. young and dumb drinking and partying(stopped once I found out of course). Took no vitamins only folic acid but this time round taking and doing everything right and they just miscarry :( starting to really lose hope myself. Like you I know my cycle so well know and have saved loads of opks. Bloods went well today! Got them first go. So fingers crossed the results come back before I enter my TWW

DBTJ · 04/06/2020 14:16

@2020wish

I have managed to dtd twice not really been in the mood. Like you emotions are just up and down never thought I would have bk 2 bk Mc. On the plus side I have learnt more about my body and ovulation which saved me doing opks.

How are you doing.Any update on the blood test

MichT4 · 04/06/2020 14:15

@2020wish 😂😂 that made me laugh! It’s good to hear it’s working for your OH. It helps so much when they are on board. In the first month ish after the MC I kind of hid how much I was trying to put into it as I didn’t want him to freak out. But actually, he’s on board and I love that it doesn’t feel like a chore. I bet him being like that will make your fertile week and TWW go much faster and be much more relaxed.
Strange you say about the stuff he’s taking though - is it a tablet? My OH started taking a supplement a few months ago, before we were TTC and he turned into some kind of sex addict 😂😂 he was like a dog on heat! It’s a natural thing for training and I wonder now if it’s something along those lines. I gave him a hard time about it because I was worried it might hinder our chances (it’s definitely not a steroid/test of any kind) but now I wonder if it might help 🤔

Good luck with the bloods. Let us know how they are xx

ManchNic · 04/06/2020 13:42

@MummyMilla what a helpful friend to have!

We are trying to work on the assumption that it's a numbers game - just got to get the right egg - but of course I worry it's not just that and that it'll never happen. Each time I worry I wont get pregnant again, and that if I do something will be wrong etc etc. Any pregnancy now just feels like an endurance test!

But we've decided there's nothing else we can do right now but keep trying, so that's what we're doing. It's all consuming though isn't it!

2020wish · 04/06/2020 13:32

Looks positive to me !

DBTJ · 04/06/2020 12:49

Hey guys

First time using opk since Mc. I'm exactly 14days from the start of my bleed . I'm using the feel your cervix method and nothing else. I noticed a change in cervix position ,discharge consistency and slight cramps roughly 3 days.

@MichT4 my fella got his off a pharmaceutical site after loads of researching it but you know what he has only had two doses and he said he feels he had more energy and more ‘in the mood’ and sorry tmi but he feels his junk felt bigger and more swimmers 😂 this month I took a different approach and didn’t tell him we were going into fertile week and I had planned on now timing DTD so I was happily going to sleep last night and it was him asking when our fertile week was and could we at least practice for it Grin although he was pretty excited to hear it started already haha made me feel better to that he wants this as much as me. He believes he is at fault on the miscarriages as he after his last child with his ex 8 years ago he started getting big into the gym and in turn took test for years and that’s known to affect male fertility. He has been off it 1.5 years nearly but hcg is usually the treatment for men in that aspect so hoping this helps us

Outside waiting on getting my second lot of bloods taken. Please send good vibes. My vascular access is really poor and they always have to get other nurses/doctors to try and most appointments I have to go back next day as they failed first day.

Jazper · 04/06/2020 11:40

Thank you for your messages. I'm ok, I think. I've had a little cry. Dusted myself off. Hoping this leaves me less likely to test early next month.
I'm back in that annoying state of limbo whereby I don't want af to show, but equally, desperate for it to so that we can have another go.
Trying to find comfort in the fact that I believe it was the first cycle post mc that I ov'd, and it took us 4 month to catch last time so perhaps I was being a little over optimistic.

@WellHurrahAndHuzzah , laughing at even the neighbours cat is pregnant. I dread pregnancy announcements. Hubs told me a colleague at work is pregnant and even just him saying the word made my heart drop to my stomach.

Renna · 04/06/2020 11:25

Morning xx hi to new ladies xx so sorry for your stories and you find yourselves here .. hope the thread brings you support and the odd giggle:) sending hugs xxx

WellHurrahAndHuzzah · 04/06/2020 10:59

Hello everyone, welcome to newbies and I'm sorry for your losses.

@Jazper I knew we were roughly on the same cycle so I was sad to see your news this morning. BUT you're not out until AF arrives.... I have given up testing early as I bitterly remember the feeling of getting those negatives. Look after yourself today.

Prffffft I'm having a day of feeling sad and overwhelmed. Just cried to DH after I thought he was cross with me, turns out he wasn't at all and I'd misinterpreted it. I think the change in the weather has really impacted on my mood. Must remember how much the garden needs it Grin

@IndieMorg it's so frustrating when everyone around you seems to get pregnant at the drop of a hat, right? And then have such smooth and stress free pregnancies!! God damn them! Even my friend's cat is pregnant Shock

We're nearly at the weekend. Xx

MummyMilla · 04/06/2020 09:43

@ManchNic hello! I am so sorry to read about your son, how utterly heartbreaking. And I can imagine how much harder your MCs must be.

I had a chat about age & eggs with a friend the other day who's an obs/gynae consultant (and fertility specialist) - useful mate! Anyway, he said that given I have had two healthy pg before and managed to get pg twice since, it's likely to just be down to abnormalities, which are obvs down to age. Apparently, 50% of pregnancies for over 40s end in MC, so I guess that what we're up against. His advice was just to take all the right supplements, look after our bodies and keep on trying.

I'm not sure about you but we've decided against IVF but that obviously an option if things don't happen on their own.

VP91x · 04/06/2020 09:33

@MichT4 oh that's handy. Yeah, mine can be a bit rocky but then post ovulation you should see a temp shift! My temps post ovulation were about 0.4 degrees higher than pre. Everyone is so different but you should see a rise of some sort 😊 xx

@Jazper ah shit, I'm sorry it was negative. But you're not out until AF arrives 🤞 hopefully if it is due to arrive it won't keep you waiting too long so that you can move onto next cycle if that's what happens xx

MichT4 · 04/06/2020 09:21

@VP91x yes it does, it’s skin temp so I think will always be higher than the thermometers, but should show the same trend. I’d never get up and remember to temp.

It just seems so varied, my temp and rhr looks to have no real trend. But like I said I think once it has a few more days, and hopefully post ovulation, it’ll start to not look so erratic 🤞🏼

@Jazper sorry you had a negative result. Still early though, might not have implanted yet! xx

Jazper · 04/06/2020 09:09

Well ladies, I caved this morning and took at test at 11dpo. Negative 😔 I know it's early but I'm going to hold out for af now which, going by last month, could be a week late if my cycles are still irregular.

Welcome to the new ladies and I'm sorry you find yourselves here but equally, it's a lovely supportive place to be. Xx

VP91x · 04/06/2020 08:47

@IndieMorg welcome to the group, sorry you are going through a MC right now 😔

I hope you detect ovulation soon and you have a new chance at TTC xx

@MichT4 does it not do your body temp etc?

CD5 hopefully coming towards the end of AF now! Xx

MichT4 · 04/06/2020 08:09

Good morning girls, and welcome to the group @IndieMorg. As with everyone, sorry you are here with us but I’m sure you’ll find comfort here 😌

I’ve been wearing my Ava for maybe a week now and I’m making no sense of my data 😂. Maybe it’ll make sense once it’s logged a full cycle, but let’s hope it’s all a waste of money and data by then 🤞🏼

How is everyone this morning? Where are you girls getting hcg for the boys from? Xxx

IndieMorg · 03/06/2020 23:46

Hi all, can I come and join you too?

I had a natural miscarriage at just before 6 weeks which started on the 21st May (Thurs) and the bleeding stopped on the Sunday. We had been trying since Jan so not a huge amount of time but every day feels like an eternity when you're TTC doesn't it 😣. This was the first pregnancy for both of us

Totally feel the same as you ladies with others announcing their pregnancies, it's so hard! One neighbour is due next week and the other just announced she's pregnant with twins 😔. You just wonder what's wrong with you but my husband reminds me that miscarriages often aren't announced in public like births but it doesn't mean they don't happen to other people too

I've just started tracking ovulation for the first time ever in the hope that we will catch quickly (nothing so but but only tested the last 3 days. I feel like I had ovulation symptoms last week but that would have been days after the MC finished so it seems too soon. Probably hormones playing tricks)

Xx

2020wish · 03/06/2020 22:59

Thanks everyone for the replies :)

@Hayleylou89 yes I’m hoping it does work fingers crossed. I just wish we knew about it before lol

@HopeForRainbowbaby tests were faint today but ordered more stick so gonna test three times a day as my cycles are all over the place with the losses

HopeForRainbowbaby · 03/06/2020 22:39

@ManchNic also warm welcome to you! Thank you sharing your story and I'm sorry for your losses.

HE88 · 03/06/2020 22:36

@ManchNic happy anniversary to you it looks like it is a popular time of year! Hope you get your bfp soon xx

ManchNic · 03/06/2020 22:21

@MummyMilla I'm going to be 40 in August and really feeling the pressure of my age too! But like you also have slightly given up on time & just wishing for a healthy pregnancy x

ManchNic · 03/06/2020 22:15

Thank you all for your kind thoughts. Yes losing Henry and living without him was and is absolute agony. We just assumed that once we started trying again we would be able to have another baby, but the pregnancy losses have just added extra pain and worry.

I am really trying to be more positive and more relaxed this time around, but I just want it to happen so much!

@HE88 @elliew818 that's so strange, yesterday was CD17 for me & also my wedding anniversary, must be a popular time of year!

HopeForRainbowbaby · 03/06/2020 21:52

@2020wish how is testing going ? I think I see some darkening of second line on my ovs but it could be also just my mind wanting to see ovulation approaching 😅

@MummyMilla warm welcome ! Im sorry regarding your losses:( what I learn from ladies here is not to give up on ttc. I also heard a story today of older acquaintance who had two MCS before having 2 kids and her daughter had also 2 MCs followed by having several kids. She also made a comment that women do not share their stories or disclose that they had MCs ( especially like 40 years ago). But it is very encouraging to have this wonderful support group as well as hearing that both ladies went to have successful pregnancies after miscarriages.

@elliew818 good luck tomorrow ! It sounds like a perfect opportunity to expand your family on this special day ❤️ and I and DH have been also drinking plum juice ( and grapefruit juice is on the way).

Hayleylou89 · 03/06/2020 21:50

@elliew818 thank u lovely! it means alot and i will be keeping everything crossed for all u girls too! Just want to turn this rubbish lockdown year into something positive for u all x
