Welcome to the 🐧 huddle. This a safe place to give and receive support for everyone who has experienced the loss(es) of a pregnancy or baby. Pregnancy and child loss is one of the most difficult things we can experience and it can also be the most lonely time too. I hope you find this thread to be of some comfort.

I have found so much comfort from the lovely ladies on this thread and I’m hoping for lots of BFPs in coming months!

@Mumlili9 I'm so sorry to read this. Totally natural reaction for you to have....try to do something nice today / this weekend to keep your mind busy if you can. If you want to chat we're all here x

Mumlili9 · 02/10/2020 10:07

Had the worst day ever yesterday. Double baby bombs. First one was my bf pregnant again this will be her 9th child and anther friend sent me a BFP picture the same moment I was checking my BFN test . Im reslly happy for both of them but I can't stop myself feeling resentment and jealousy.
I hate days like this 😥

Marshmallow123 · 01/10/2020 20:04

@kim80 thank you for letting me know. I'm sorry you had to go through it twice xx

LoveEatYoga · 01/10/2020 17:13

@dryoldparty 💗

@Marshmallow123 I have had this procedure done twice in the last 3 weeks. The first failed and ended up with retained tissue so ended up having to have it done again last Wednesday.

Like @Mumlili9 said I felt a little tender for a few days after and just a bit groggy from the anesthetic, obviously the first time I bled heavy after it due to them not completing it properly but 2nd time I stopped within days and am just slightly spotting now. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative how ever hard that was to see i was also relieved that i now know its complete.

I am sure you will be fine, will be thinking of you good luck. Smile

Marshmallow123 · 01/10/2020 14:01

@Mumlili9 thank you for your advice. I am living abroad just now (husband's work moved us in 2019 and we're hoping to come home in summer) so it's all very overwhelming doing it all in a foreign system. I've got a good, English speaking doctor though so that's helped and she will be the one to perform the surgery so she knows I'm still TTC.

Thank you for your kindness, it's really comforting knowing that there are others out there who've been through it....despite the fact I'd never wish this on anyone ever. Xxx

Mumlili9 · 01/10/2020 13:07

@Marshmallow123 sorry you have to go through this hun. My advice is have time off after in my experience you will feel bruised. Take comfy clothes and stuff to do while your waiting. Dont let the staff dismiss your feelings they tend to do this as its just a job to them. Make sure to take sanitary towels, the ones they give you are horrid and dont stick. Make sure they tell you how the procedure went in detail, I didnt ask questions as I felt stupid I regret that now. Make sure you make it really clear you are still going to ttc too. I didnt have much pain , more aching tbh but take any pain relief they offer, its emotional enough without period type cramps on top of it all. Sending you a virtual hand hold and healing thoughts. Dont worry you will be OK and we're all here for you when you feel upto it

Mumlili9 · 01/10/2020 12:59

@dryoldparty hello hun nice to hear from you x yeah im still here not sure why I'm still trying as my consultant said it was unlikely that I will ever fall pregnant again after my f*ed up last surgery but I m just not ready to lay down the opks yet. Hubby will not try ivf (catholic) so its between hope and heartbreak now plus im 39 and my time is drawing in now unfortunately as my cycles are getting shorter and lighter probably not long before they stop altogether. And as covid it destroying the NHS theres no help available either.

Marshmallow123 · 01/10/2020 12:46

Hi ladies.

Following my MMC with medical management I went for a check up today and I've got retained tissue so need to have a d&c tomorrow. I know some of you experienced this...any advice or anything I should know?? Was really hoping surgery wouldn't be needed.

dryoldparty · 01/10/2020 12:26

Hi girls. I was frillyfarmer. Just saw the news on Chrissy's baby loss this morning and I just thought I'd find the penguin huddle and see how you all are, send you my love, give you a virtual squish. News like that always cuts deep, especially when you've lived through losses.

I'm so fucking gutted to see both @Mumlili9 and @BunnyLovesBananas on here. You all deserve your rainbows xxx

kim80 · 30/09/2020 15:13

@Mumlili9 thank you for your kind words and letting me join the group.

I am new to the whole mumsnet so still trying to work it all out at the moment.

I am kinda stuck with the ttc until i get my af and if it returns normally as after reading some of the previous posts it sounds like its not so simple to get back into a routine.

I am sure I will learn alot from this group I have purchased the recommended vitamins and also so opk test strip things so will have a play around with it all and take all your kind suggestions and recommendations.

Its nice to see that we're not alone in how we all feel and look forward to getting to know you all better.

Good luck ladies. X

Mumlili9 · 30/09/2020 12:38

@kim80 hello and welcome to the group no one ever wants to have to join. Im sorry for your loss. I understand the horrible time you've been through I too am one of those ladies that has mmc's followed by retained tissues every blooming time.
I hope this group can bring you support and advice if you want it. Im always welcome to pm if you like.

I've been here forever and probably will be long after you get your bfp so feel free to ask anything you like.

kim80 · 29/09/2020 19:38

Hi All,

Please could I join. I have just turned 40 and 3 months ago found out we were pregnant this was not planned in the slightest i had actually gone to the drs for a premenapaus test 🤦‍♀️.

Due to age we thought we would book in for a harmony test at 12 weeks we went for the scan and all looked good until the lady asked if i had had any pains i instantly knew something was wrong the baby was measuring 11+4 but no heartbeat.

I was booked in for an erpc which i had 3 weeks ago, I continued to bleed and was sent back for another scan where I was told I had retained tissue that now looked cystic so they needed to check if it was a molar pregnancy even though I had 3 scans and nothing mentioned or seen on these. I was booked back in to have my 2nd ERPC which i had last Wednesday. It has been a roller coaster of emotions but I am now desperate to ttc again. I have two children 8 and 11 so never in my life thouhgt I would want more but this loss has made me realise I do have room in my heart for more.

Sorry its so long it's been all go recently but hoping to now join you all in ttc.

Good luck ladies. 😊

LoveEatYoga · 29/09/2020 15:12

Thanks @Kiki275 How are you?

Like @Mumlili9 I don't drink much. I'm not t total but I drink less then once a month! I'm just a bit fed up now but trying not to think about it

Marshmallow123 · 29/09/2020 14:32

@Kiki275 thank you. And here's hoping for a positive month for you x

Kiki275 · 29/09/2020 14:30

@Marshmallow123 I can only imagine. It's been 6 months since my loss, so I'm in a completely different headspace now. It's so easy for me to say now but please be gentle on yourself. 🤞it won't be long until your body & mind are aligned and it's all systems go again x

Marshmallow123 · 29/09/2020 13:59

@Kiki275 keeping everything crossed for you. I'm now a week since MMC and still bleeding...just want this to be over now so can begin TTC again if I'm honest.

Kiki275 · 29/09/2020 13:52

@Marshmallow123 I'm pretty good at the moment. Just need this BFP to happen as do we all, them we can worry what's next x

Marshmallow123 · 29/09/2020 11:17

@Kiki275 you've been amazing at supporting so many of us, how are you getting on?

@Mumlili9 you're not a sad s**t at all, the TTC process is a complete head spinner. I am sending lots of positive vibes your way.

Kiki275 · 28/09/2020 07:16

@Mumlili9 you are not for one minute a sad sh**t. No one can call you that for doing your very best and everything possible to take care of your health & body and make conceiving an upmost priority. I think you're amazing for it! No one has a life in this eternal bloody lockdown, especially not me x

Mumlili9 · 27/09/2020 22:59

@Kiki275 I would but im T total. Im boring I don't have any vises and my body is crap. So im just going too wallow in my crap until AF is over then worry about if I'm going to ovulate for a week, then if I do im going to worry we didn't dtd enough and then worry some more for a week , test cry about a BFN and repeat the process. God im a sad s**t I literally have no life. Hows things going for you?

Kiki275 · 27/09/2020 18:43

@LoveEatYoga sorry to hear this. On the bright side we can all have a few wines in commiseration. Silver clouds n all that x

LoveEatYoga · 27/09/2020 17:10

Well I'm spotting so that's usually the start of AF but I wasn't expecting anything.

Hope everyone is ok xx

Kiki275 · 27/09/2020 16:34
