Welcome to the 🐧 huddle. This a safe place to give and receive support for everyone who has experienced the loss(es) of a pregnancy or baby. Pregnancy and child loss is one of the most difficult things we can experience and it can also be the most lonely time too. I hope you find this thread to be of some comfort.

I have found so much comfort from the lovely ladies on this thread and I’m hoping for lots of BFPs in coming months!

I really hope they sort out maternity care soon I know covid is a real risk but some practises are causing more harm @Kiki275

Kiki275 · 04/10/2020 20:56

@Yellowbaby1 I would too, the only problem is I haven't had a good experience of them. With my twins, they missed off one twin and got the dates quite out. I know I could try a different one but not sure I'd trust them either x

Yellowbaby1 · 04/10/2020 16:45

@Kiki275 if that's the case for me (I'm in the UK) I will be paying for a private scan. So my partner can be there

Kiki275 · 04/10/2020 16:06

My friend has just announced her pregnancy. I'm over the moon for her, genuinely. The only thing is that she's confirmed our local hospital aren't allowing partners into the scan room at 12 wks. This news has literally knocked me for six again, every doubt is now flooding back x

Mumlili9 · 03/10/2020 22:38

@Yellowbaby1 hello and welcome. Sorry for your loss x I hope you find support here with these wonderful women. I hope you don't feel quite so alone here with us

Yellowbaby1 · 03/10/2020 21:56

Hi ladies
Do you mind if I jump in, I'm 33 and I have been ttc for 12 months. I have been with my partner for 15 years. I've waited a long time for this part of my life and I didnt expect it to be this tough.
I did get pregnant in april although I lost it at 6 weeks 2 days. My GP was kind enough to send me for blood tests that week and confirmed my pregnancy. I didnt feel as foolish. I had told my family and his, everyone needed something to cheer them up as we had lost two relatives to coronavirus. The week before.
Miscarriage is such a lonely loss and grieving process.
Those events and the Coronavirus pandemic slowed our ttc down but these last two months we have been really trying again.
I'm currently cycle day 16 and I am symptom spotting as I suspect I ovulated cycle day 10.
I have decided against using ovulation strips so far and just decided to have lots of sex. My sex drive is quite high so I am happy with this method. Although I might try the strips next month if I dont concieve.

I'm hoping for a christmas miracle to end this terrible year

LoveEatYoga · 03/10/2020 21:46

Mumlili9 · 03/10/2020 21:45

@VenusStarr great to hear your being looked after hun x hugs and healing thoughts to you x

Kiki275 · 03/10/2020 21:23

@Jaysdream7 11 babies, that's just heartbreaking 😢 Not prying but if by medical reasons, you mean tmfr, there is also a lovely group I'm on which is focused on TTC following these.

@VenusStarr I do so hope you get some answers. Christmas really is that far away and hopefully the new year will bring solutions and positivity.

xx

Mumlili9 · 03/10/2020 20:35

@Jaysdream7 hello and welcome to the most supportive group of beautiful women ive ever met. I hope you will feel this is a safe place. How heart breaking 11 losses. I too have had multiple losses (9) and its so painful. We will have our rainbows eventually ( im wearing my positive pants today).

@LoveEatYoga they haven't experienced pregnancy or baby loss so I guess they just don't think about it the way we do.

@Marshmallow123 im ok cd2 and totally gutted it didn't work gor my birthday. I suppose I am asking for miracles considering the consultant said it was very unlikely to ever happen again. Im glad you are recovering well and closer is a good sign. Dont forget though if you want to talk im always here even if its just to rant.

VenusStarr · 03/10/2020 20:35

Hi everyone, just popping on to say I had medical management on Thursday - after a stressful time at the hospital (I changed to a different one and my old one hadn't sent my scans over). I was shocked to pass the pregnancy later that evening, compared to my natural losses it was relatively smooth and pain free. I did manage to preserve them and took them to hospital the next day. I saw my Tommy's Midwife and she checked them over and said she felt it was complete, so they've been sent for testing. I'm hardly bleeding now, which is a bit worrying, should it be more? My dh and I have had blood karyotyping done a couple of weeks ago too, so we're waiting for two sets of results, which will probably be Christmas time. I think I need a break for a bit before we think of next steps. I've not really processed this yet. My dh was with me when I passed this pregnancy and I'll never forget his face 😔 💔 I feel relieved that I have done all I can now and just hope there is enough for the hospital to test and hopefully we're a step closer to answers.

I'm waiting got my negative and then I can get my recurrent bloods redone too, I'm glad the hospital are checking this for me to rule out sticky bloods etc even though my first set were normal. We just need to understand why the babies don't grow beyond 6+weeks. This was our biggest at 6+5 but I don't miscarry until 9/10 weeks. I just wish I could take a pill or injection and fix this. We got a lovely memory box from this hospital, the first time our baby has recognised and acknowledged ❤️

I hope every one is doing OK xx

kim80 · 03/10/2020 13:23

I'm fine in myself @marshmallow123 like you say its just so frustrating and been so long and drawn out. Im not so sure it is my af, but have said to my partner we will take it as it is then we can start ttc again Smile

Marshmallow123 · 03/10/2020 13:07

@kim80 oh gosh that's very frustrating!! Maybe it is AF if you've had no bleeding for a little while. Hope you're ok x

kim80 · 03/10/2020 12:57

@Marshmallow123 im glad it went ok for you and your recovering well 😊.

I'm ao confused as had two in 3 weeks had 3 days of non bleeding and now started again so if be coming up for 4 weeks from 1st one and only 2 weeks from 2nd so have no idea if this is still from 2nd one or if my af is now following on top.

Its so frustrating 😫

LoveEatYoga · 03/10/2020 12:45

@Jaysdream7 I can imagine how fed up you must feel. It's a year since my MC and now I feel like it's not going to happen for us.

Jaysdream7 · 03/10/2020 12:43

No some chemical some mc and some medical reasons! Been heartbreaking

LoveEatYoga · 03/10/2020 12:35

@Mumlili9 Are your friends being insensitive?

I get that we have to deal with people having babies around us but sometimes some consideration goes a long way

SIL just posted on Facebook that she had her baby girl. She is early 40s and has been quite thoughtful about us losing DD so I am happy for her but will always be sad my baby died. I will send her a card today.

@Jaysdream7 Is that 11 MCs? That's a lot to go through. I lost a full term baby last year and a MC also last year and I feel fed up but it seems like fertility goes up and down for people eg can take years to conceive one and then the next can happen straight away or vice versa

Jaysdream7 · 03/10/2020 11:43

Hi ladies, I’ve lost 11 babies. Have 2 amazing sons desp trying with new partner. I used to conceive quickly not anymore. Last loss in May, love to all xxx

Marshmallow123 · 03/10/2020 11:18

@Mumlili9 how are you feeling today? Do you have anything planned this weekend to distract you from TTC related stuff?

I had my d&c yesterday morning and feel physically fine after. Emotionally I feel like it's a bit of closure too.

Mumlili9 · 03/10/2020 10:34

Hello ladies how are you all today?

Marshmallow123 · 02/10/2020 12:49

@Mumlili9 sending lots of love x

Kiki275 · 02/10/2020 12:48

@Mumlili9 that sucks big time. Sending huge hugs x

kim80 · 02/10/2020 12:28

@Mumlili9 im so sorry to hear this 😔

Mumlili9 · 02/10/2020 11:03

Oh great thank you universe. Now AF has arrived 2 day early just to really piss me off. I give up white flag white flag 🏳

kim80 · 02/10/2020 10:36

@Mumlili9 I am so sorry you had a day like that, its so hard when you feel everyone else is getting what we want.

I have returned back to work this week to two of the teachers being pregnant and due when I should have been 😭. i seem to be more aware of adverts about babies and pregnancy then i ever was before. I think when we want something so badly it heightens the emotions and feelings and this is a natural response.

Please don't beat yourself up on how you feel its natural to feel the way you are when you are trying to achieve the same thing. Flowers
