Penguin huddle 🐧🐧🐧 TTC after pregnancy loss - Thread 35 - time for some sticky BFP's

Welcome to the 🐧 huddle. This a safe place to give and receive support for everyone who has experienced the loss(es) of a pregnancy or baby. Pregnancy and child loss is one of the most difficult things we can experience and it can also be the most lonely time too. I hope you find this thread to be of some comfort.

I have found so much comfort from the lovely ladies on this thread and I’m hoping for lots of BFPs in coming months!

Im sorry they hospital are still delaying but good luck for later @VenusStarr I loved journaling when I was younger and have thought about doing it again as I find it really helpful to have a release for my thoughts and feelings whether that’s speaking to someone or writing them down journal 📔 x

I'm sorry things have been difficult @marmitecheesetoast be gentle with yourself ❤️

@SomeBunnyovertheRainbow it's good to get checked out, plus knowing that there are options, should you need them

How are you @Mumlili9?

I'm OK, just feel like I'm bumbling along - the hospital still haven't sent my notes to the clinic, which is frustrating. Need to prepare for our consultant appointment this evening...
I've got a journal that I started yesterday, trying to focus on things other than infertility and pregnancy loss x

SomeBunnyOvertheRainbow · 23/06/2020 07:13

@marmitecheesetoast I’m sorry this past week or so has been tough since getting the PM results and probably also the time leading up to it is so emotionally draining. See how you feel when you get to FW.
I understand not wanting to miss a cycle of TTC but I don’t think you should feel like you can’t just have a break if you need it 💕

Hi all, fell off the thread. Difficult week after the PM.

@FloDaffodil I’m really pleased the scan went well but understand the anxiety. I guess all you can do is get through one day at a time

Sorry for the BFN @Mumlili9 but agree it could still be early days and not out yet. Totally understand and appreciate you don’t want to get your hopes up though I know that feeling.

Sounds promising @Sakura54 when do you think you’ll test?

How are you @VenusStarr?

@SomeBunnyovertheRainbow glad blood results were normal, sounds really positive I’m glad you’re feeling a bit more hopeful

CD 9 here, still a little while for me before I’m likely to move into fertile phase with my longer cycles .
Need to get my head round actually dtd, not really feeling interested at all at the moment after last week. Hopefully as my hormones gear up it will help

SomeBunnyOvertheRainbow · 22/06/2020 19:05

@VenusStarr I thought it was strange as I’ve read other people on here having the CD21 test. She isn’t offering any more but said I can seek help privately but also was quite positive about us conceiving naturally. I feel a bit more positive about it happening naturally too and pleased bloods didn’t show anything untoward so let’s see what happens over the next few months...

I hope you’re ok? x

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 22/06/2020 18:19

That's strange @SomeBunnyovertheRainbow, not heard that before. But good news that all is normal with your bloods. Are you doing any more at this stage? X

SomeBunnyOvertheRainbow · 22/06/2020 17:22

I got blood test results today - normal

She said they don’t test on day 21 any more as that’s to test if I’m ovulating and early cycle bloods would show if I’m not...

Hope you're OK @SomeBunnyovertheRainbow 💕 hoping that we all get positive news 🙏

SomeBunnyOvertheRainbow · 22/06/2020 08:01

Sounds like we could have some positive news on the thread soon 💗🤞

VenusStarr · 21/06/2020 20:25

Sounds promising @Sakura54 🍀💕 hope you get good news in a few days

Hopefully we'll get some more good news from @Mumlili9 and @Esssa :)

Sakura54 · 21/06/2020 19:28

Congrats @Kangaroo77

@FloDaffodil That’s great news, but understandable that you’re wary.

So something interesting happened. I’m on CD 28 so AF is due any day now, but earlier I felt like I was going to faint, was dizzy and my stomach hurt when I moved/sneezed. These were some of my pregnancy symptoms last time. I wasn’t ready this month due to using a new eczema cream, not to mention I’ve been using a nose spray for hay fever sometimes and haven’t been taking folic acid! I didn’t think I would ovulate so soon after the MMC and was only half TTC. I’m too scared to test and don’t want to see a confusing result so might give it a few days. Oh boy!

VenusStarr · 21/06/2020 19:12

❤️ ❤️ ❤️ @Mumlili9

Mumlili9 · 21/06/2020 19:05

Thanks @VenusStarr I suppose someone has too as I'm not capable of being hopeful any more. It's been too long and to many losses to still be hopeful.

VenusStarr · 21/06/2020 19:02

Your temps are looking really good @Mumlili9 I know what you're saying about being 10dpo but I would go by the app I think, I've got hope for you 💕🌈

Mumlili9 · 21/06/2020 18:58

@venusstarr @Esssa I probably will as i have a real poas problem. Thing is by 10 dpo ( i know my chart say 9dpo but I'm convinced I'm 10 dpo) with every pregnancy i had a positive by 10dpo so I'm not holding out hope. Though my chart does look good this cycle and there the best temps I've had since 2018.

Esssa · 21/06/2020 18:49

@VenusStarr thanks. I haven't been pregnant for over 2 years so I'm hoping its all textbook 🤞I think it being the first month I'm not expecting it anyway but I am super nosey and can't help myself. Following months I'd be more likely to hold off and just wait for af.

VenusStarr · 21/06/2020 18:36

@Esssa my temps have been strange since my chemical, they stayed high one month but my period started then dropped about cd3. I stopped testing last cycle as I get obsessed trying to look for signs. Im in 2 minds about knowing early - last cycle really upset me getting positives then af arriving on time - I had a delayed reaction as it didn't hit me until after af had finished. Got my fingers crossed for you 🍀

@Mumlili9 I agree, it's still a bit early, are you going to keep testing?

Esssa · 21/06/2020 18:28

Finally got most of the decking painted and bending over isn't the most comfortable. Feeling a bit bloated and aware of my uterus.

@VenusStarr next Sunday I think. Would kind of like to know if my period is coming though my temps will tell me I suppose. Also like to know if its a chemical as I have had hyper fertility mentioned in the past. I'd be surprised by a bfp as this is the first month trying.

@Mumlili9 10dpo is still early, you aren't out yet!

Mumlili9 · 21/06/2020 18:25

@venusstarr it's due in 3 days. So I'll pray things change before then but it's not likely.

How are you ?

VenusStarr · 21/06/2020 17:35

I am sorry @Mumlili9 ❤️ when is af due? Its really hard xx

@Esssa definitely try to hold off if you can 🤞 when are you expecting af?

Mumlili9 · 21/06/2020 15:22

@VenusStarr hi yes tested again today blazing bfn. Gutted tbh. But that seems to be my lot nothing but pain and disappointment. Good news about your telephone appointment. Hope it's good news

Esssa · 20/06/2020 23:50

Glad everything is going well for you so far @FloDaffodil and @Kangaroo77. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

@SomeBunnyOvertheRainbow the 2 days before ovulation where the ones we got so I'm quietly hopeful.

@VenusStarr the first week has flown by. Now for the week where I dither over whether it's too soon to test or not Blush

VenusStarr · 20/06/2020 09:39

@FloDaffodil I'm pleased that things are looking good right now, today you are pregnant ❤️ have you got another scan booked? Sending you lots of love xx

@Mumlili9 sorry to hear you had a bfn - have you tested again today?

@Kangaroo77 🍀

@SomeBunnyovertheRainbow I'm finding the weeks are flying by, glad it's the weekend too - hoping we get some nice weather again.

@Sakura54 I hope your cycle does settle quickly. I found after my MMCs mine did, but strangely after my early loss this year they've been a bit off.

Some good news, I have a telephone consultation on Tuesday about my nk cells testing result. Going to write a list of questions.

Thinking of you @marmitecheesetoast 💕

I always find the first week of the tww uneventful and seems to pass quite quickly @Esssa, the second week however 👀 👀

Has anyone got anything nice planned this weekend? Xx

SomeBunnyOvertheRainbow · 19/06/2020 23:21

@FloDaffodil The scan is a really good sign but I can understand why you’re worried and I hope this works out for you 🤞 It is hard being so hopeful and so worried at the same time

OP posts:
FloDaffodil · 19/06/2020 22:59

Thanks for messages @VenusStarr @Mumlili9 @Sakura54 @Esssa @SomeBunnyOvertheRainbow. Unexpectedly the scan at EPU showed things were okay right now. But had some more red spotting this evening which put a downer on things. I’ve got a few weeks past this point before and it’s still gone wrong so not taking anything for granted.

Wishing you all good luck for all of you in the 2ww.

@Kangaroo77 - fingers crossed for you.
