Welcome to the 🐧 huddle. This a safe place to give and receive support for everyone who has experienced the loss(es) of a pregnancy or baby. Pregnancy and child loss is one of the most difficult things we can experience and it can also be the most lonely time too. I hope you find this thread to be of some comfort.

I have found so much comfort from the lovely ladies on this thread and I’m hoping for lots of BFPs in coming months!

So really confused now because my peak is even higher now than yesterday but the temp of 36.55 was super high given the day before was 36.15. I can't get my head round it.

@marmitecheesetoast thanks, I know what you mean about being negative its truly hard
@venusstarr that's positive about your sister. I fear mostly because my two longest pregnancies were cd9 and 10 ovulation and they were the worst and most complicated miscarriages I've had with exception of this last one and losing my tube. I guess I'm just going to worry about every detail until I'm holding my rainbow and even then I'll have a billion new worries. It seems I'm determined to punish myself every step of the way

marmitecheesetoast · 07/07/2020 14:07

Welcome @Owl94 and sorry you find yourself here. That sounds awful I’m sorry.

So glad your OH has got in on the game in time @Mumlili9 Did you take your temp at the usual time? Those OPKs are really blazing strong so I’d say keep on with it and I think you’ve timed it perfectly! 🤞🏻

Great news about the email @VenusStarr must feel really positive that things are happening. Good luck on the smep this cycle too!

@AliceinBunnyland sorry about your friend that sounds difficult. It sounds as though easing off on communicating is a good idea, you’ve got to look after yourself. I wonder if the anxiety of PAL just makes it all consuming? You’d think she’d be more sensitive though.

I’m ok. Really struggling with exhaustion at the moment. I’m pinning that on grief rather than a possible early pregnancy symptom though 😂 I keep googling and finding myself reading medical journals about hypocoiled cords and cord accidents 😔 Trying not to fall too far down the rabbit hole until after second consultation next month.

8dpo over here ho hum... feeling impatient. I know we’ve got a really good chance from our timing this cycle and gave it a really good go but have already convinced myself it won’t have happened. I guess it’s self preservation. But DH keeps getting excited and asking if I’m having any symptoms. I’ve tried to tell him I really don’t want to symptom check or get our hopes up being too positive but then that just sounds really negative. It’s hard to find a balance isn’t it.

VenusStarr · 07/07/2020 12:06

Just to reassure you with ovulating early - my sister has 2 children, one concieved on by ovulating on cd9. And one cd10

It's hard having to wait for it to be confirmed by FF but you're in with a chance :)

Mumlili9 · 07/07/2020 12:02

@venusstarr good luck with smep. And great ness about your email and if this smep doesn't work you'll at least have the ivf in place now - exciting times.

Mumlili9 · 07/07/2020 11:56

@VenusStarr oh really, it's never happened to me before. I'm worried how early it is again though. I've been getting to cd14 the last few cycles which I was happy with. Oh well nothing I can do now except wait 🥴

VenusStarr · 07/07/2020 11:56

Hmm, missed your chart pic @Mumlili9 a bit of a strange one but maybe you did ovulate. The rise is good 🤞 the egg loves for 24 hours so if you've dtd and maybe later you've time it well :)

Mumlili9 · 07/07/2020 11:54

@AliceinBunnyland unless your like me this cycle (no idea what's with that this cycle) I don't think one day will matter. If you've used the stick before it will already know your baseline. Always use the same stick until the batt run out. If you have opk strips they are used in the afternoon anyway. Fx for that peak hun

VenusStarr · 07/07/2020 11:54

Timing is spot on then @Mumlili9!! Hopefully your dh will want to keep trying. I usually ovulate the same day as a positive opk but last month it was the day after (but we weren't trying anyway)

VenusStarr · 07/07/2020 11:52

Hey everyone

Like the name change @AliceinBunnyland :) I've never used the CB kits, I'd say go tomorrow rather than doing it late today.
That's really frustrating with your friend, I'm sorry that she's doing that. I struggle to articulate this but sometimes I find that sometimes when someone is pregnant after infertility or loss they just seem to become so absorbed in it that they become massively insensitive. I see it a lot on Instagram and its really hard.

I'm so sorry for your loss @Owl94 that sounds really difficult. Welcome to the group 🧡

@Mumlili9 glad you got some action in 😊 fingers crossed with the timing and your good side! 🤞

@marmitecheesetoast hope you're doing OK

What was the deleted message??

Good news from my ccg - has a nice email to say they're on it with the transfer of care. The person who emailed was lovely too. Fingers crossed we hear from the clinic soon. Starting smep today, wish me luck! 😂

Mumlili9 · 07/07/2020 11:50

@venusstarr oh yeah I'm also getting blazing positive opks. Taken at 7.15am and just now at 11.30. I'm so confused. I can't explain the temp rise. I'm definitely not sick either. Confused

@AliceinBunnyland I'm sorry your friend is being unsupportive, I have a friend just like her too and it stings doesn't it.

@venusstarr well this chart has me baffled. We dtd this morning anyway just it case but never have I had a positive opk and ovulated the same day. I hope this temp is a fluke but it seems like a really good jump . I usually have a low rise and I'm never sure 100% when I ovulated but this was so quick I'm not sure we will have caught it. What do you think. So you know we dtd around 3am when DH gets in from work, but I take my temp at 7am.

Sorry you find yourself here @Owl94

How are you @Mumlili9 @VenusStarr @marmitecheesetoast?

I was supposed to start testing with CB this morning (I'm on day 7) - is it worth testing later (obviously not FMU) or would you just start tomorrow? I don't want to end up not getting a peak because I missed the first day but maybe one day won't make a difference?

Also mini-rant: frienf I met through Sands and is pregnant mentions scans or midwife appointments every time I talk to her. When she told me she's pregnant she did say she understands if I don't want to keep in touch etc and I said of course I do (she isn't a close friend btw, we started talking about a month before that) but I thought it would go without saying that I don't want to hear about scans etc. She took 1.5 years to get pregnant the first time and then lost her DD so she understands and I'm surprised she would just keep mentioning it. Literally any time I message her she mentions being pregnant. I messaged her today about something unrelated and the response was that she's nervous about her scan tomorrow Confused I think I'm just not going to message her after today and no doubt I'll get an announcement message in a few months...

Mumlili9 · 06/07/2020 23:36

@Owl94 welcome and sorry for your losses. I too have one tube and hoping to have my rainbow soon. Hope you find support here. Oh yeah I don't think theres such thing as a topic not discussed here. There will be graphic images, stories and general tmi stuff all the time ( we do talk about nice stuff too sometimes lol)

Owl94 · 06/07/2020 22:30

*waves

Hello all, I hope you're all doing as well as can be expected x

I'm new on here, so thought I'd introduce myself Smile

TW: Some slight graphic discussion of loss mentioned below

I'm 26 and started TTC again recently after a horrible loss last August/September. I have a wife, and we have a lovely known donor who we use when TTC.

I had an omental ectopic (usually this refers to an ectopic that isn't in the tube, but basically my body detected that there a problem and tried to wrap the affected tube in body tissue and pulled it higher up inside my body) which was initially discovered and treated with methotrexate when I was on holiday after I collapsed on a beach. Unfortunately, despite my HCG levels falling, I ruptured a month later (due to the type of ectopic there was a lot of blood loss) and needed emergency surgery and my right tube was removed.

We tried again early this year but have had a couple of chemical pregnancies but nothing seems to want to stick just yet. I'm in my TWW at the moment (due to test on Friday) and keeping everything crossed that something finally decides to stick! Would love to hear of some successful pregnancies after ectopic/tube removal as some days I do wonder if I will ever have a successful pregnancy.

Positive vibes and hugs to you all!

I totally thought I was out this cycle but I had a cheeky visitor this morning as DH had seen my positive opk in the bathroom bin. Seems hes up for trying after all. Positive/peak today so fx ovulation tomorrow. I've hot some strong pains on my right side (side with a tube) so hopefully we have a real shot this time.

How are you ladies

AliceinBunnyland · 05/07/2020 18:00

Thanks @Mumlili9 @marmitecheesetoast

No unfortunately I can't use that one as I've bought scales that tell me body fat % etc Blush They connect to an app to log your progress which we both quite like. I was never focussed on weighing myself but I definitely still weigh more than before I got pregnant with my DD so hopefully I'll see some progress and this might help motivate me.

marmitecheesetoast · 05/07/2020 16:59

@AliceinBunnyland nice nc! Maybe you’ve gained muscle, that weighs more!

marmitecheesetoast · 05/07/2020 16:56

@Mumlili9 that sounds really difficult. Hope things get back in gear for you soon 🤞🏻

Love the pic @VenusStarr definitely looks a bit like a unicorn! My DD would be very excited!

Mumlili9 · 05/07/2020 16:46

@AliceinBunnyland nice new name. What is it with our men, they say they want children but seem to go out of there way to see it doesn't happen. Arhhhhh the frustration

AliceinBunnyland · 05/07/2020 16:40

I have NC Grin

@marmitecheesetoast I'm so sorry so little care was taken in such an important appointment for you. I hope the consultant appointment helps 💙

@VenusStarr Thanks for asking of me. That photo is lovely

@Mumlili9 I'm sorry you have to deal with added difficulties with TTC. I don't know much about Aspergers but I hope you find a way to TTC that works for both of you. My husband used to almost rebel a bit when I was fertile as he didn't want to he told when we should TTC or feel like we are only doing it to have a baby but he has changed more recently probably because he now sees it isn't that easy to make a baby!

I'm on CD6 so nothing to report.

I did weigh myself for the first time today and weigh about the same as I did months ago. J hoped I'd lost a bit as I have been quite active but the past few weeks I've dropped off a bit so I need to make more effort to stay active.

Mumlili9 · 05/07/2020 15:38

@venusstarr that's a lovely picture. Very professional looking too. But your right she/he really does look like a unicorn

VenusStarr · 05/07/2020 15:27

Just wanted to share this picture I took today from my walk. We saw 3 lovely horses, this one could be a unicorn 🦄 :)
