Welcome to the 🐧 huddle. This a safe place to give and receive support for everyone who has experienced the loss(es) of a pregnancy or baby. Pregnancy and child loss is one of the most difficult things we can experience and it can also be the most lonely time too. I hope you find this thread to be of some comfort.

I have found so much comfort from the lovely ladies on this thread and I’m hoping for lots of BFPs in coming months!

Good to hear from you @EatPrayYoga ❤️

GP is referring me for an urgent scan (not sure how soon urgent is though) x

EatPrayYoga · 16/11/2020 08:53

I hope everyone is okay and I'm sorry I haven't contributed much to this thread recently

@VenusStarr I hope you're okay and I hope get some answers xx

Good luck to everyone 💗

VenusStarr · 15/11/2020 14:21

Thanks @Kiki275 the epu did call back, feel a bit reassured but still got a niggly feeling that something isn't right. Because my hpt is negative, I don't think they're concerned, which I do understand but this is definitely not normal. Just wrapped up on the sofa with a heat pad and the cats.

I'm going to speak to the GP tomorrow as I'd already had antibiotics which I finished on Thursday and they possibly helped move things along, just not sure if I'd need more. I'm also seeing our new doctor on Wednesday, so I'd be interested to hear his thoughts (and he might scan me). Xx

Kiki275 · 15/11/2020 11:22

@VenusStarr I'm so sorry you're still having to go through this and it wasn't picked up in sooner. I hope EPU can help xx

VenusStarr · 15/11/2020 11:00

I can't remember if I mentioned that I was worried about retained tissue but I've had a negative test at 2 weeks after my medical management. But I've had the spotting and some strange cramps on and off. I did get antibiotics which I finished on Thursday. This morning I've passed some tissue that I definitely feel is pregnancy tissue - it's been 6.5 weeks. I'm waiting for the epu to call me back.
I'm so worried 😢 I hope that it's everything. I knew something didn't feel right. X

kim80 · 14/11/2020 13:49

@VenusStarr sorry to hear you have had to deal with redundancy through this shit time but its amazing his managed to get another job with the current situations.

I also ordered some cheap opks from amazon and never hardly had any 2nd line i then brought some easy@home ones and they always had a faint line so I also thought my cheap ones may not have been so sensitive as the better ones. Your chart looks good though as it does show you hit the temperature you normally ovulate at so fingers crossed you may have and your opks just never picked up on them.

Please keep us informed with your appointment its true what you say as in ipswich every appointment you have to go alone and at least with driving it will keep you busy on the way.

Good luck. X

VenusStarr · 14/11/2020 11:06

I don't think so @Kiki275, he's in hospitality and they only get a 15 minute break 🙄 plus my appointment is at peak time for them - 1.30pm. He didn't feel comfortable to ask for the day off in his second week, I get that and we were prepared for it. Just sucks. But I'm hoping it brings us answers. Plus it's probably good for me to go alone as when I'm having treatment if check ups, I'll definitely have to do them alone, so it's good practice! Xx

Kiki275 · 14/11/2020 11:01

@VenusStarr good news he got another so quickly. Would he be allowed a break and video call into the appointment, so he's there?x

VenusStarr · 14/11/2020 10:58

I've been wondering if I had a duff pack of opks (just use cheap ones from amazon) because I've literally had no second line at all, on any of them. So I ordered a new set (still the cheap ones) and just did one and there's a definite faint second line. So it's entirely possible I might have but just missed it because the opks were rubbish. Or I've not ovulated and I won't. Or I'm still waiting to ovulate. But spotting most days is not normal for me either way. This is my chart - my temps after ovulation normally are around 36.5. Anyway, need not to obsess... 🙄 😑

VenusStarr · 14/11/2020 10:36

That's a good sign @kim80 🤞

@Kiki275 I think I'm taking the levothyroxine now just for my own peace of mind, I don't think I really need it. The specialist didn't seem to think so either, but it majes me feel like I'm doing something. Mine was only 3.06 (I don't have a sub clinical diagnosis) and it's around 2.44 now. I was told if it was over 2.8 I could be medicated. I completely understand the contrasting feelings xx

I'm still spotting, my temps gave been dropping so I am wondering if I'm going to come on soon... Not much else to report. Dh got made redundant but managed to find another job quickly but it's shift work, so he's in all weekend and can't come to my follow up appointment. I have to drive to Surrey on my own. I'm sure it'll be fine and also means I have to concentrate on driving and not go ogling on the journey down!!

Have a good day everyone xx

kim80 · 14/11/2020 08:13

@VenusStarr that sounds positive though and hopefully your body will continue to steady out and regulate again. At least you now know you are able ttc and have as much chance as all of us which is brilliant news 😀.

I have just tested using the cb opks had nothing all cycle but this morning went from nothing to this so I'm hoping that means that I am finally going to ovulate and obviously have no build up so will be making sure I dtd the next 2 days.

Kiki275 · 13/11/2020 19:44

@VenusStarr no LevoThyroxine yet but if I fall pregnant then I'll need to start. Yes to Thyroid antibodies but I'm not sure what that means really. To be honest I'm a bit upset as I kind of pinned my hopes on this being the reason my cycles haven't regulated. Whilst I don't want to be unwell and neither do I want treating unnecessarily, I was hoping there'd be a quick fix to give me the best chance of TTC. That said, at least there's nothing worrying going on so I've as good a chance as anyone x

kim80 · 13/11/2020 19:31

Hi lovely ladies thank you for the reassurance I will continue to monitor and hopefully see that positive opk sooner rather then later.

@Mumlili9 20th is not to far away now and hopefully will give you the answers you need.

@VenusStarr its so frustrating 😤 but at least having you all here its nice to know we're not alone. Hope the doctors go well, I am going to monitor and maybe if it continues like this i may also have a little discussion with my gp.

@Kiki275 thats good news then that you dont need treatment. Google is no ones friend but we all seem to use it when we shouldn't 🤦‍♀️. Hopefully you will continue to not need it and all will be OK for ttc.

X

VenusStarr · 13/11/2020 14:30

Oh @Kiki275 ❤️❤️ are you on levothyroxine now? What was your result? What's the antibody? Is it thyroid antibodies? The good thing is they have found it before your next pregnancy xx

Hopefully the hysteroscopy brings some answers for you @Mumlili9 would you consider private treatment? X

Kiki275 · 13/11/2020 14:12

So just had confirmation of sub-clinical hypothyroidism and antibody positive. Don't require treatment yet but to let them know straight away if I do.
Just googled what effect it has on pregnancy, not a wise move 🤦‍♀️ x

Mumlili9 · 13/11/2020 11:11

@VenusStarr im ok hun just wanting to get it done so i know where I stand and weither to bother continuing to try anymore. Im told that after 40 the NHS are very limited in the treatments that they offer.

VenusStarr · 13/11/2020 08:49

@kim80 I'm still in the same boat, cd17 today and still no lines on my opks. I'm still doing my temps and I've had quite a few days of my usual post ovulation temps. I had what I thought was a period on 28 October but very light and on cd3 I had a ton of ewcm, so part of me is wondering if that wasn't a period and was just a random bleed and maybe I ovulated around cd3-6. I've pretty much had brown spotting most days since. I'm trying not to stress or be angry about it but it's so frustrating. I'm seeing my doctor next week's for my test results so if I've not had my period or ovulated by them, I'm hoping he can help.
I've tested everyday at least twice - I just use the cheap amazon ones so do it in the afternoon / early evening. Definitely get in touch with your GP if it continues.

@Kiki275 🤞 for your bloods.

Good to hear from you @Mumlili9 how are you feeling about the hysteroscopy? Glad to hear that's going ahead xx

Mumlili9 · 13/11/2020 08:33

@kim80 hi im ok hun I understand your worries I to have the same thoughts. I'll find out on the 20th for definite when I have my hysteroscopy. If nothing happens hun just have a chat with your doctor

Kiki275 · 13/11/2020 07:40

@kim80 nothing yet, I'll ring later to check.

If it's of any reassurance I got a positive at CD15 last month, then CD18 this month. I've not had any regularity though since my loss. I'd keep testing and try not to get too disheartened x

kim80 · 13/11/2020 07:24

Hi ladies,

Hope your all doing OK.

@VenusStarr I am making myself so stressed about it I actually brought the clear blue ones as was using the easy at home app ones but I'm cd15 without a hint of a positive which is worrying me is my body working properly. So fully feel for you. How long do you continue testing for? I get periods maybe out of whack as this will be my first month to month period since the smm but I would have thought some sort of sign of ovulation. I'm so worried that because I had to go in twice they might have damaged me 😭. I will keep testing and see what happens.

@Kiki275 any news on your blood tests 🤔

@marshmallow123 @mumlili9 hope your both OK x

Kiki275 · 11/11/2020 19:13

Thanks ladies 😊

That's good to hear. I'm hoping they do prescribe the levothyroxine. Feel like I've been living in a cold fog the last few months. Need to shift a few pounds though so hoping it won't hinder that as I've read it can x

VenusStarr · 11/11/2020 18:06

I'm with you on the lack of ovulation @kim80 it's driving me insane, I have no second line on my opks and my temps are erratic. We're not trying yet (see the specialist next week for my results) but I just want my body to be normal. It's cd15 today. I think I can deal with an anovulatory cycle, but not a delayed ovulation. Cd15 is the latest I've ever ovulated - I know it's not typically late, but it's abnormal for me as I'm. Usually cd10/11. I did stop the pregnacare and I'm back on seven seas conception.

@Kiki275 I'm on levothyroxine - my thyroid wasn't massively over, 3.06 but for fertility it's better to be closer to 2. Interestingly the new doctor I'm seeing didn't feel the levothyroxine was necessary, but I'd rather stay on it. X

kim80 · 11/11/2020 16:58

Hi everyone,

@Kiki275 that's good news so hopefully will get some answers from the gp good luck at the end of the tww.

I'm currently on cd13 with no sign of ovulation on the opks yet so not sure whats going on I'm hoping its just late and not that I'm not ovulating and its just a bit slower at the moment. Driving me insane not knowing what's going on.

Hope all you other ladies are well and ok. 😊

Kiki275 · 11/11/2020 14:35

Hi everyone,

checking in, hope you're all okay?

Been back to give more blood to check thyroid function. Hopefully that'll come back needing LevoThyroxine and I can chat to GP about impact on TTC. Now in TWW but gut feeling is we didn't DTD enough when my fertile window finally arrived x

Kiki275 · 09/11/2020 18:43

@VenusStarr yes thanks. Got bloods taken to check Progesterone and Thyroid function. They took three separate vials, one of which was for glucose so hopefully I'll get a thorough screening and hear back soon.x

I've got a pack of seven seas waiting for me to finish my current batch of pregnacare, purely because Asda don't do them 😂 x
