Setting up this new thread for all the lovely ladies who have been on the ttc after miscarriage journey. And also all the ladies who have had their bfps but still want to stay in touch:)

Will post this in the existing chat :D

Yeah 100% peaked!! I think you ovulated today then considering the evening one was much lower 🙌🙌🙌 @scrumdiddly123

scrumdiddly123 · 20/05/2020 21:08

I think I may have got my peak today but not
100%! One app recorded it as peak and the other didn’t. It’s the second one for today, what do you think? Positive or not quite?

@Annny27 loving that logic. Smile

Annny27 · 20/05/2020 11:13

@ELM7 I am so impressed at myself 🤣 I think its half because the longer I wait, the more pregnant I could be and so the less time I have to worry about miscarriage between now and a 12 week scan 🙈

@Ejb86 thats so strange. Fingers crossed you get a longer luteual phase. Have you tried agnus castus - it's supposed to strengthen your luteul phase

ELM7 · 20/05/2020 11:02

Ohhhh @Annny27 I really hope that a positive OPK is because it confuses the hcg with Lh. But wow your willpower is even stronger not getting a test today to find out.

Ejb86 · 20/05/2020 10:44

@Annny27 I thought you might know. I've had AF at 5dpo a couple of cycles ago so my body obviously doesn't fit the norm atm. Doesn't fill me with hope for this cycle.

Annny27 · 20/05/2020 10:36

@ejb86 the progesterone released by your egg when it ovulate keeps your period away until the end of your normal luteal phase. When the egg implants more progesterone is produced which then stops the period arriving altogether. Everytime I ovulate late my period arrives 14 days after

@milscookie ahhh that's interesting! My DH told me not to get my hopes up and we can test in a few days haha! My hopes are always up 🤣

@fizzl haven't had any more spotting but its only the morning so will let you know later. Yep my pre ovulation temps are 36-36.2 @¥ doesn't seem your ovulation has happened:(

OP posts:
MilsCookie · 20/05/2020 10:31

I don't want to get your hopes up @Annny27 as I know it can mean an LH surge before AF but I wanted to test this theory and did a couple of OPKs with the HCG in my system and they looked positive!! I definitely think you should do a FRER! The first pic is around 4 weeks and the second pic is 6 weeks with the test line being way darker than the control line on the LH test! 😬🤞🏻 Got everything crossed for you!!

That's so interesting @Annny27. I'd definitely be doing a HPT now if I were you!

Worrying about my late ov. Does anyone know, does a fertilised egg need to implant to prevent a period, or does your body know it is fertilised prior to implantation?

Fizzl · 20/05/2020 10:12

I'm very envious of all these positive looking opk's 😂 even with fmu mine is still very white! I drink a lot of water and the most I can hold is usually about 2hrs which doesn't help. My temp was 36 again today so completely all over the place this month. No consistent temp rise tho.

@Annny27 it could be a good sign! I've never tested so close to af before with opk's so I don't know if it's normal for it to show a high reading again before af arrives but I know it can sometimes be a sign of a BFP. Are you still having any spotting?

scrumdiddly123 · 20/05/2020 10:06

@SunnySideUp2020 no it’s with SMU and for the afternoon ones I always do a 2 hour old and don’t drink anything in that time so they aren’t dilute! Very strange

Annny27 · 20/05/2020 10:03

@scrumdiddly123 could it be that all of your afternoon wees are really diluted so its a false negative in the afternoons?

@sunnysideup2020 I think I will hold off on the hpt as like you say it could be either way haha. Going to the shops tomorrow so will either pick on up tomorrow or order one online to arrive on saturday

OP posts:
SunnySideUp2020 · 20/05/2020 09:54

@Annny27 it could be one or the other tbh. I would defo do a frer after a 4hour hold later today if i were you !! 😇 everything crossed 🌈

@scrumdiddly are the morning ones fmu?
I have had strong false fmu opk in the past and i think thats why it's not recommended to do with fmu.
But if they arent then it's just weird...

scrumdiddly123 · 20/05/2020 09:50

My opk this morning. Third day in a row it’s been dark first thing but then not progressed! This one is definitely the darkest though!

scrumdiddly123 · 20/05/2020 09:46

Oooh @Annny27 I don’t know but I would definitely be doing a hpt if I were you! How many dpo are you now?

Annny27 · 20/05/2020 09:16

Sorry haven't read throuhh peoples messaged yet but just took an opk (had a poas urge and don't have hpts) and its almost positive at 11dpo!

Could it be that hpt could be positive or is it more than likely that its an LH surger before period?

Not as much as I would normally have it was just a little when I wiped one morning.
Yeh I just don't think I ever reached ovulation, fingers crossed for this cycle.
Yeh onwards and upwards, feel a bit rubbish at the moment but I'll be ok thank you @SunnySideUp2020. Xx

SunnySideUp2020 · 20/05/2020 07:49

@Ljm0101 aw sorry 😞
It does seem like it was gearing up but failing to peak.
Everything else was normal? Have you had ewcm?
I hope this is CD1 and next cycle comes back to normal for you...

Ljm0101 · 20/05/2020 07:46

Hey @SunnySideUp2020 so I was 0.5 on CD16 evening and the 1.1 CD17 morning but not fmu then 0.7 in the evening then 0.4 CD18 morning and it's just been going high-low the whole cycle.

Anyway my spotting has turned heavy now so I'm assuming af has turned up early in this crazy cycle now CD28 my cycles used to be 29 days but since MC have been all over the place, my last cycle was 36 days. I just wish I knew what was going on.
Xx

SunnySideUp2020 · 20/05/2020 06:52

Morning ladies and girls

@Ejb
Yay for a positive opk!!! Finally!!!!

@Ljm0101 so you had a 1.01 in the morning and nothing in the afternoon? Could you have missed it? Or was it fmu?

@scrumdiddly123
sorry yours dont seem to get positive...

Same for @Fizzl

That being said i am sure i have read on MN ladies who never got a real positive but still got pregnant so obviously still ovulated... hope this is what happened and you both arent having a cycle to write off.

@fizzl i read the same about spotting. It could be a low progesterone thing but you LP only ends with the first proper bleed..
And dont worry about long posts. This is the place to vent, to be happy, to be weird, to look for support, to lament, etc etc...

And as for the scarring she said the infection i got after MC is rare with spontaneous loss (no medical or surgical intervention) and so she said this may have caused scarring in the endometrium. But tbh i have always had pain in my right side- it started when i had the copper IUD put in. Few years back.

@Annny27 i wouldn't worry about spotting lovely
At 10 dpo (you are 10 now no?)
It could well be IB!!!

I haven't slept much last night. I think i am a bit scared of that procedure- if any of you had something similar please do share!!!

I also dreamt i was giving birth but to someone else's baby 🤨

And overall was just so restless!!!! 😒😒
8 dpo today... so actively looking for symptoms which are non existing.

But it's a beautiful sunny day here so something good 👍

Ejb86 · 20/05/2020 05:48

@Fizzl when I ovulate doesn't seem to make a difference to when my AF arrives since my miscarriage. I've ovulated CD 21 and had a 25 day cycle in the past, so I'm on the look out for the wicked witch from Friday onwards.

Fizzl · 19/05/2020 23:20

I've realised I always post really long posts! That poster on the other thread would hate me 🤦🏼‍♀️ need to get better at posting short responses - I get bored of reading my own posts back 😂

Fizzl · 19/05/2020 23:18

Oh wow this thread has been busy today! I'll try and catch up.

@SunnySideUp2020 I did have spotting from cd17-19 which I've never had before. That's when I'd usually expect to ovulate but it never happened and I just got weird spotting instead. Sounds like your appointment went as well as it could. It does sound like they're being very proactive which is great! Have you gone private? Where do they think the scar tissue is from? Hopefully you'll be all good to go in a few months!

@Annny27 preaching to the worrier 🙌🏼 I always have to have something to worry about. It's like my hobby. Just not a very fun one 😂😒. Also, wallow away. I've done enough of it on here recently it's my place to vent and wallow. Apparently (based on my current obsession with short luteal phases) spotting in the days before isn't anything to be overly concerned about, it's only your first full day of af that counts. But I've also read that a short luteal phase isn't something to be overly worried about but, of course, I'm worried! So I'm not going to say don't worry because I'd be hypocritical but try and take some reassurance that it doesn't appear that pre-af spotting is anything too concerning in re to luteal phase.

I didn't see that post yesterday but I'm not sure what she's doing on a forum which is for support. What a muppet. Luckily for her she's probably never been in a situation where she's needed this support. For me it's been a life saver. There's no way I could talk about all this stuff with my friends or family without them thinking I'm going insane and need help (my husband is starting to look at me a bit funny sometimes too 😂) so I've massively appreciated having people who get it to talk to.

@Ejb86 I'd say that's positive. Mine never got any darker than that when they were positive. When do you now expect af or BFP?

@Semele5069 glad your scan was all normal. I remember the relief of my first period. I'd never been so thrilled and excited to see it. Good luck, hopefully this time round it will all work out. I think recurrent miscarriage is probably everyone's worse nightmare after experiencing one loss so it's going to be a nerve wracking journey but you're in the right place for support 😊

@scrumdiddly123 I started to watch that life and birth program but my husband switched it over and suggested I didn't watch it as it would just upset me, and he's right. I like to torture myself sometimes though!

@Ljm0101 im also due af either thur- sat based on my normal cycle but I have no idea what to expect now this month. I just want af to arrive so I can move on to next month now but I have a feeling I'm gona be left in limbo for a little while yet 😩

Ljm0101 · 19/05/2020 22:13

Hey @scrumdiddly123 I'm CD27 I had a positive Well it was 1.01 so not as high as my other peaks on CD17 but it's just been up and down since, it's like my body was gearing up but never got there. 😢 I'm due AF Saturday but who knows, I've been spotting in and off since CD16 as well.
Sorry AF got you @GlitterFairy1412 😢 I hope it stays away for you @Annny27 .
Xxx

scrumdiddly123 · 19/05/2020 22:12

@Fizzl sorry you haven’t OV’d yet either! So frustrating 😔 I’m fed up of POAS and then waiting for them to dry and then analysing them/taking pics for my different apps! DTD has become a bit of a chore too which I hate! Would rather AF just showed up and then we could focus on the next cycle! I hope you’re ok, I’ve been watching the life and birth program on BBC and it physically hurts, the need for a baby is so strong 😢 I had no idea TTC could be so hard!
