We have to laugh about these things don't we! I have seen the funny side to it and it's strangely taken away my frustration. I almost feel sorry for my confused uterus now 😂. So yes maybe that's how we need to view it. Our bodies are not letting us down or broken, just our uterus is confused.

@BeeMakesTea I'm so sorry you're back here with us. I had a D&C or ERPC, not sure if there's a difference. It was totally fine. Like I just mentioned in my previous post I was terrified before. I'd never had any surgery or anaesthetic and was so nervous. But it was honestly fine and everyone was really reassuring. I was only knocked out for less than an hour and home by late afternoon.

The recovery was ok I didn't have any pain at all but I did have bleeding for 3 weeks which felt never ending, whereas some people seem to have pain but no bleeding at all so I guess it will just depend how your body reacts. We were advised to wait at least one cycle to help prevent infection and future dating for pregnancies. We actually waited 3 as we wanted to give my body more time to heal and for us to feel 'ready' again but this is totally personal. Ironically my cycles were pretty regular those first few months after it's now month 6 that things have got a little to pot so maybe I should have started again sooner! But I'm sure you will be fine and the surgery will go ok 💐

I wouldn't wait for a bfn to start using opk's. I didn't get a negative pregnancy test before af arrived so I ovulated whilst still bleeding and with hcg still in my system. I've also used onestep for a long time and they seem fine to me. I've tried easy@home this month but not ovulated so can't comment on their accuracy.

@Leok83 that's definitely almost positive! Yes I'm feeling better tonight. I spoke with a different gp this time and he seemed a little more clued up and said 6 weeks without a period is not normal for me so they'd just start to rule a few things out.

@SunnySideUp2020 hope everything goes well tomorrow 💐 will be thinking of you. I hope my confused uterus also unconfuses itself pretty quickly! It's not ideal when ttc 😂

@scrumdiddly123 sorry it looks like af is on her way 😞

ELM7 · 02/06/2020 21:49

Ahh no sorry @scrumdiddly123 that it looks like AF is making her appearance.

10dpo here and had cramps and back ache last couple of days and dip in RHR today so sure AF isn’t far away.

BeeMakesTea · 02/06/2020 21:44

Thank you ladies for all your kind words and reassurance, I am feeling slightly less nervous now. It’s been about 3 weeks since we found out and the waiting has been awful so I feel ready but just nervous about any complications etc.

I think we will wait a cycle before TTC again, so won’t properly be joining the boards for a few weeks yet. I was thinking about using cheap OPKs for this cycle, even though we’re not trying, just so I can see if/ when I ovulate and when to expect AF, I think it’ll help me feel a bit more in control. But I’ve not used them before- will I have to wait until I’ve had a BFN to use them? Also I’ve had a look on Amazon and seen a few brands eg. Wondfo, Easy@Home, One Step, does anyone have any recommendations or are they all pretty similar?

scrumdiddly123 · 02/06/2020 21:09

Hi @ELM7, I’m pretty sure I’m out. Had a bit of brown spotting again early evening so decided to check my cervix and sorry tmi but this made me bleed a lot, like proper AF bleeding. Haven’t had any more since but pretty sure she’ll be here tomorrow and I just disturbed things up there 😳 how are you getting on?

That’s a great positive @Annny27 and CD14 too! 👌🏼 Happy BD’ing and to Leok83 too!

@Fizzl your doctors diagnosis made me laugh! I think we’re all suffering from confused uteruses right now 🤣 good that they’ve seen you though, I hope the swabs come back ok.

Good luck for your appointment @SunnySideUp2020, I hope it’s quick and painless! Good they’ll give you the GA.

welcome back @BeeMakesTea and so sorry for your loss. I don’t have any advice as have lost all of mine naturally but thinking of you x

SunnySideUp2020 · 02/06/2020 20:16

Thanks @ELM7

SunnySideUp2020 · 02/06/2020 20:15

@BeeMakesTea sorry didn't see that it was Friday. Hope the other ladies who experienced it can answer your questions and you can go in less anxious.

ELM7 · 02/06/2020 20:14

@Annny27 and @Leok83 hope you are having fun DTD with those positive OPKs.

@scrumdiddly123 hope you are surviving the TWW - are you going to test or wait for AF?

@Fizzl I do like the thought of our uteruses being confused.

@SunnySideUp2020 hope it all goes ok for you tomorrow

SunnySideUp2020 · 02/06/2020 20:11

Thanks ladies :)

@Fizzl a confused uterus sounds like a good diagnosis. Hopefully not confused for too long!

@Leok83 definitely gearing up this opk!
What CD are you on?

@BeeMakesTea sorry to see you again here. I remember you from the pasts threads...
That sounds really awful. I dont know about surgical management unfortunately 😕
Do you have an appointment already ? Sending hugs x

ELM7 · 02/06/2020 20:08

@BeeMakesTea I’m so so sorry for your loss I went straight for ERPC as felt I wouldn’t be able to handle dealing with medical management. Like @Leok83 said it was fine although I think I thought I was better than I was and the general anaesthetic wore off about 2am when it hit me like a ton of brick emotionally and also the cramps came so would suggest taking a hot water bottle to bed with you just in case. (Hubby was
Up making one for me in the middle of the night)

We waited until after AF before TTC as I also ended up on antibiotics for an infection but like the ladies have said it’s whenever you feel ready. Hope it all goes ok on Fri

Leok83 · 02/06/2020 18:07

@Annny27 I'm doing OPK alright this cycle, too much in habit of doing it now to not! This is this afternoon so starting to get darker. Had peak Cd14 last cycle so was hoping for same this cycle but I'll be happy to get it tomorrow either and looks like might be gearing up for that. Hopefully I'll be ur cycle buddy soon!

@SunnySideUp2020 best of luck for tomorrow, thank god they're letting you go to sleep for it, I'm sure it'll make it more bearable!

@Fizzl a confused uterus😂that's a great diagnosis!! Glad the GP is finally going to do something to investigate though.

Leok83 · 02/06/2020 17:58

@BeeMakesTea I'm so sorry ur back onto this thread again. That's so hard and fair play to you for being so positive right now. I'd a D&C for MMC(they called ERPC) and it was fine, no pain other than the odd period type cramps after, anaesthetic was fine, really the worst of it is just the emotional side of things.
We decided to TTC straight away but I did spot and had positive hcg for about 6 weeks after so obviously my body wasn't ready. I think though if your body is ready (hcg back to normal and no bleeding) then I would continue TTC but it's definitely a personal choice and has to be right for you. xx

Annny27 · 02/06/2020 16:19

@beemakestea sorry you find yourself back in the ttc boards :(

I had a d&c after failed medical management and losing a lot of blood so mine was more of an emergency and didn't really get a chance to get too nervous! But I was definitely scared of the things that could go wrong and also the anaesthetic but everything turned out fine and I actually quite enjoyed the experience (apart from losing the baby....)

Good luck for your procedure! We waited one cycle before ttc because I had a lot of antibiotics, iron tablets and also thrush (🙄) so we wanted to make sure I was fully recovered

Hi ladies, I hope it’s ok if I join you? I was actually on the Feb and March threads but I’ve name changed- I was Happythecrocodile. I got my BFP on the March thread, unfortunately at my dating scan I was found to have a pregnancy sac but no foetus. Nothing has happened naturally so I’m booked in for a D&C on Friday.

As you can imagine I’m devastated but trying to focus on the future now, so I’m hoping you lovely ladies can give me some advice. I hope this isn’t triggering for anyone.

Have any of you had a D&C? Im so nervous about it. Did you TTC again straight away or leave it for a cycle or 2?

Annny27 · 02/06/2020 13:46

Yeah I have been fairly lucky the past few months with "on time" ovulation! Something I am thankful for atm.

Oh thats a relief that you are going under GA @sunnysideup2020 makes it less scary painwise. Will be thinking of you tomorrow!

@fizzl a confused uterus - think I have one of them too 🤣🤣🤣 keep giving her all she needs to make a baby and she doesn't 🤣

OP posts:
Fizzl · 02/06/2020 11:54

@Annny27 that's bang on time then! Hopefully this is a good sign that everything is behaving itself for you this month!

@SunnySideUp2020 I've spoken with the GP today. Going for swabs later just to make sure there's nothing more sinister going on. GP seems fairly sure that I've had an anovulatory cycle and this can 'confuse' you uterus. So my current diagnosis seems to be confused uterus 😂 😒perfect. No imminent BFP here that's for sure!!

Ah I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. I had a complete meltdown on the morning of my surgery and very nearly didn't go ahead with it. They had to postpone things whilst I had some time and just blubbered uncontrollably for about an hour. I managed to pull myself together in the end and I'm so glad I did now because it really was all fine. I think your husband will find it worse. I know mine didn't know what to do for a few hours whereas for me it felt like I'd only been away from him for about half an hour.

Good luck everyone else!

SunnySideUp2020 · 02/06/2020 10:21

Also we haven't seen a BFP in a while!
🤞 hopefully the next few weeks will bring some 💞 🌈 🌟

SunnySideUp2020 · 02/06/2020 10:19

@annny27
Nice positive opk!! You are so lucky to ovulate on cd14 ... by the book :)

@Fizzl sorry it's not moving on your end lovely... perhaps ring the gp? Doesnt do any harm to just mention that you are anxious?

CD7 for me - no cycle buddies this month!
😕

Tomorrow leaving at 07:30am for my hysteroscopy.
Had a freak out yesterday almost cancelled everything. DP not allowed at all in the clinic and the receptionist said they would only put me to sleep if i need treatment. Had a mini breakdown as i am quite sensitive down there in the cervix and i know i won't tolerate the pain. So had to text the doctor to double check that she would give me the GA and THEN start her thing.... she finally confirmed this morning that yes i will be asleep 😅
But poor DP will have to find something to do for 3 hours in the city and not worry too much...

Annny27 · 02/06/2020 09:48

Got another peak this morning so probably ovulate today (cd14)

@fizzl yeah does seem like an anovulatory cycle doesn't it. I haven't had one since ttc but might have had one in the past. Very frustrating.

How are the two weekers getting on?

OP posts:
Fizzl · 01/06/2020 21:37

That is definitely a strong peak @Annny27 - good luck! 😉

My temps have stayed low. They've not gone above 36.3 and seem to bob between 35.9 and 36.3. After ovulation normally above 36.6.

Tomorrow is CD40 so unless proper flow starts before then think I'm going to ring the GP 😒 not sure what I'm hoping to hear as I'm pretty sure they will say it's normal for a cycle where you haven't ovulated.

Annny27 · 01/06/2020 19:14

Got a peak reading this evening (my normal cheapy opks arrived haha)! Dtd today and will dtd tomorrow probably as well!

Let's hope I have a longer LP this time 🤞🤞🤞🤞

@fizzl how are your temps looking? Thats so frustrating to not know where you are st with your cycle :(

Fizzl · 01/06/2020 18:46

@Leok83 I am wondering if this will be my AF this month. Although it's barely anything 😒. I'm CD39 😱 so if I totally skip a cycle I'd probably expect to ovulate roughly CD48 but who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️

Fingers crossed for an early ovulation for you! I also don't blame you for enjoying a few drinks. We have to keep living our lives and can't put everything on hold.

@Annny27 that is a very fancy opk! Definitely looking almost positive tho. Yeah I thought maybe really late ovulation but the brown spotting is making me think probably AF just very slowly on her way. I'll keep testing!

Annny27 · 01/06/2020 14:01

@leok83 we must have been writing at the same time! Yep they cost 7 pound haha! Almost 1 pound per each stick so much different to my 30 for 5 pound that I get online haha

Are you doing opks? Yep will be nice to have a tww buddy!

OP posts:
Leok83 · 01/06/2020 13:30

@Annny27 very fancy ovulation test😂 looking very strong! Hopefully I’ll be following you in a day or so😊

Leok83 · 01/06/2020 13:27

@Fizzl sorry cross posted there. Maybe you are about to ovulate again you think? What Cd are you now?

Annny27 · 01/06/2020 13:26

Morning ladies! hope we all enjoyed the nice warm weekend :)

@scrumdiddly123 the bleeding sounds so peculiar! Does it feel like AF? I ran out of opks yesterday so had to go to tesco to get some fancy looking ovulation tests haha. Looking like probably will peak tonight or tomorrow morning (am cd13 today). I have had loads of ewcm today!

@fizzl your high lh may be that AF is about to begin or ovulation may be finally happening for you!!!!!

@ELM7 stay strong and hope the last bit of tww isn't torture!

@SunnySideUp2020 my DH has very mild neutrophenia or however you spell it but the doctors aren't overly concerned about it. How are you feeling before your procedure on Wed?
