Back! Thanks anny ok will do another one tonight then..

@Dipsy77 i honestly felt heartbroken reading your story...
How old are you girls?
There was a time my brother didnt speak to my mum for 5 years and i can honestly say that even though it was his decision he was hurting himself doing it. But sometimes i think people have their own reality and feelings and the only way they can show their disagreement is by inflicting the silence treatment. I had to talk to my brother a few times to gently ask him to maybe try to have a conversation with my mum and he did. I am not going to lie things arent the same as before but it was a big relief for him. I hope that as you say when they are more independent they are going to realise what they are missing and will eventually speak to you again. It's such a shame...

@annny27 @Fizzl
Love that you met your husbands so early. It's so cute!! You grew up together and lived all these things 🥰

@scrumdiddly123 i actually was pregnant with my first love when i had just turned 17 but didn't have the courage to go through the pregnancy and motherhood. I think i was too immature. Looking back termination was probably a good choice then. My ex ended up cheating on me multiple times and we had such a destructive relationship... brought us in the darkest places until the age of 22.
But i always admire younger mums 😇
Must have been hard but you made it and now you have your happy little family with the person that's good for you x

I really like hearing about people's story too
Good distraction from the ttc as well...
Reminds me of the life beside the struggle

Fingers crossed @annny
You enter the maybe implantation phase!!
@fizzl good that the swabs are all ok. One thing you can rule out..

Annny27 · 10/06/2020 08:41

Morning:D 7dpo half way through tww🙌

@sunnysideup2020 I would say that's about to turn peak within hours! Its very nearly there

@Dipsy77 awwh that's sad :( but hopefully they come around when they are older - one of my family members didn't speak to their dad from 18-35 and now they are all reacquainted

SunnySideUp2020 · 10/06/2020 08:13

Femometer says highest high but not peak yet...

Need to go running now but obviously need to ask about opk first 🙄

Dipsy77 · 10/06/2020 06:18

@Annny27 I wish they were, it's a long story but after been with their dad since I was 17 I left him when I was 40 for someone else something I never thought I'd do but I didn't do it lightly. My girls haven't spoken to me since although I've tried so hard to see them/speak to them they don't want to know which is very difficult and upsetting that they haven't met their sister. I still send gifts for birthdays and Christmas and constant messages although I'm blocked from their social media so only get updates through my mum. They still live at home so I'm hoping once they move out and become more independent they will come round and want to see us, sorry for rambling on xx

Annny27 · 09/06/2020 22:02

Evening :) 6dpo and feeling quite flushed - again couldn't nothing (as all my symptoms usually are:p)

@fizzl same - so nice to hear everyone's stories :D

I also met my husband when I was a teenager - feels so young when I think of it now - been together for a decade and am 28 now

@scrumdiddly123 that's lovely! Must have been hard but you have made a happy life for yourself and how amazing that your now husband took on your children 💗

@Dipsy77 wow that's a big age gap - are your oldee children more like aunties to your little one i guess! So sweet 💗

@Ejb86 would be nice to have an early ovulation!! Fingers crossed

@SunnySideUp2020 that sounds like a good manageable approach :) this ttc is so annoying trying to plan the best days haha

Ah I love hearing everyone's stories! Everyone's circumstances are different. I met my husband many moons ago now when we were late teens. I went to uni but we stayed together. Bought our house at 23 and Married at 27.

@Skb89 sadly like Sunny has said it seems to be luck of the draw and there's no guarantee. I think there is some stuff that suggests your possibly more fertile after MC but that doesn't mean it will happen straight away. A few of us here had MC at the end of last year and are still trying. Many of the earlier posters have now gone on to get pregnant again within a few months so just seems pot luck! Your doctors probably won't do anything to be fair. There's no harm in asking if you've been trying again for a few months but they do say it's normal for it to take a year for a healthy couple. Which i know is not what you want to hear when you want it to happen now 😒

SunnySideUp2020 · 09/06/2020 20:01

@Skb89 we conceived in two weeks first time. And now on month 6 without anything ...
It really depends on people.

Skb89 · 09/06/2020 19:54

@Fizzl I can completely relate, me and my friend I work with found out were pregnant really close together. She's 20 weeks now and everything going smoothly which of course I'm glad about but listening to her plan her maternity etc is really difficult because I would have been doing the same.

People say you can conceive much quicker after miscarriage, not sure how true this is. It took me nearly a year to conceive the first time and worried about it taking that or longer this time. Is it worth visiting the doctors to get advice or just something best left?

scrumdiddly123 · 09/06/2020 19:29

I had my first at 19 which was very hard. I was in an unhappy relationship and had just left for uni, moving away from home and discovered not long after that I was 12 weeks pregnant! I wouldn’t recommend it at all, I was skint and totally not ready to be a mum! Thank goodness my own mum and dad were so supportive and looked after me and the baby.
I then had my second at 22 and was a single mum by this point as realised their dad was an absolute knob and not worth the heartache he caused!
Thankfully I met my husband soon after, got married at 24 and had our DS at 25. So I’m now 30 with an 11, 8 and 5 year old! Absolutely wouldn’t change a thing about my babies but I definitely did it the hard way! I’ve been a Mum nearly all of my adult life so not had the chance to travel or do anything wild. You ladies are all very sensible waiting, it must be so much easier knowing you’re financially and emotionally secure! And 30 is still young! 🙂

Dipsy77 · 09/06/2020 18:47

42 god I'm adding years on lol x

Dipsy77 · 09/06/2020 18:46

I had my first 2 dd at 20 and 22 married at 21 I had my dd3 last year at 43 with new partner and I'm so much calmer and laid back this time hence why I want another x

Fizzl · 09/06/2020 18:31

@Annny27 @Leok83 and @Skb89 totally agree I can't imagine having had children in my early twenties. I know this is right for some people but for us we were buying our house, going out, travelling, sorting careers etc and now just feels like a much better time. Only one of my friends had children in their mid-twenties so I never really felt left behind at that point. Now we've all reached our 30s everyone is cracking on which is great as we're all kind of meeting this milestone at the same time, only I'm starting to feel a little left behind now! 😑 out of 4 lots of friends I would have been the first one due this year and by the end of the year all 4 of us would have all had our babies. I know the statistic is 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage and sadly out of my group I was that 1 😞. I don't regret waiting until now, just wish it had happened as planned the first time around!

So my swabs came back all clear which I expected! I've got another appointment with the GP in the morning now and I've booked my first acupuncture session for Thursday just for good measure! I will get my body to cooperate one way or another 😂

Ejb86 · 09/06/2020 17:22

Hi @Annny27 I'm ok thanks for asking. I've been back in school since last Monday so feels like it has been non-stop!

I've had some EWCM yesterday and today, so going to do a cheapie tonight just to check my body hasn't thrown me a complete curve ball and decided to ovulate over a week earlier than it has been doing recently.

Are you ok?

SunnySideUp2020 · 09/06/2020 09:34

@Fizzl agree with @Leok83 if nothing changes and you can't find an explanation i would say the situation gives you anxiety so that maybe they can push for a referral to get help with ovulation?

SunnySideUp2020 · 09/06/2020 09:31

Totally agree with all the ladies here... being a young mum has many advantages but personally i wasn't in the right place to be mother until two years ago. And wasn't even sure i wanted it. was talking about having kids with my ex and i am so glad we never actually tried because he wasn't the right person. On top of that i did soooo much stuff in my 20s in terms of travels partying experimenting crazy stuff etc that now i really want the family life. I feel so much calmer from within -i know it sounds cheesy 🧀 but it's true!! I think early 30s is the perfect age.

@Annny27 we are taking a two day break so yesterday and today and then will aim for every other day so that we give the swimmers time to build up again 😅

Is anyone around ovulation with me..?

Annny27 · 09/06/2020 07:58

morning everyone:) 6dpo and noticeable fuller boobs now, no other symptoms but too early really

@leok83 yeah that's sensible to test before your appointment just to see where you are at. I haven't got a testing date in mind to be honest just going to see how it goes!

@fizzl totally I have a cousin who is 19 and really wants kids at 21 and I keep sharing with her what amazing things I did and places I went to aged 22-26. By 21 I didn't even have any money yet as had been in uni for 3 years so would have missed out on so much if I did have them then!

@SunnySideUp2020 fingers crossed ovulation is semi on time for you!!! Are you doing dtd every other day?

@ejb86 @elm7 how are you?

OP posts:
Skb89 · 08/06/2020 23:01

@Leok83 I definitely hear what you're saying. I wouldn't have been able to do half the things I did in my 20's if I'd started a family then and I also wasn't with the right person, I definitely wasn't ready back then. A lot of my friends had their children in their early 20s and back then it didn't bother me and I was still undecided if it was for me. Now the last few friends that hadn't had children younger are now having them and I guess I'm feeling a bit left behind. Until my first pregnancy I wasn't even sure I was able to conceive because I'd never been a position where I had tried but now I think what if that was the only time i would be able to, what do I do then. Sounds silly and typical me for overthinking I guess. It sounds like you've achieved so much by waiting until now and I guess many have babies later in life these days xxx

Leok83 · 08/06/2020 21:01

@Annny27 love the fuller boots 👢 👢🤣🤣 I’ve got my obgyn appointment Saturday so will prob test before I go in to know where I am but I’ll only be 9-10dpo so will still be early. How about you?

@Skb89 honestly I still think 31 is so young!! I’m 37 now and MC my first too so you’ve a long way to go to catch up with my age😄 (and my DH is 41). I lived my 20s and early 30s to the fullest, travelled the world, waited for a job I wanted to keep to settle and buy/renovate our house, get married and then start TTC. I have no regrets and we are in the best position financially with a forever home we love but I do feel like we should have started trying a bit earlier now, I think your age is perfect!

@scrumdiddly123 you have been through a lot over the last few months alright. Hopefully AF was a good reset and your body’s good and ready this cycle!

@Fizzl don’t lose hope, something has to get you out of neutral soon one way or another, even it does take the gps getting involved. Hopefully the swabs come back ok but if nothing’s happened by then I’d be full on looking for help to ovulate. Tell them it’s causing severe anxiety but hopefully it won’t be nescessary and your uterus stops being confused soon!!

Skb89 · 08/06/2020 11:58

Thankyou @Fizzl it's reassuring to know it's normal to feel how I feel at the moment. It's only been 3 months since I miscarried but feels so much longer. I find I'm putting so much pressure on myself which I know I shouldn't and am trying to stop but it's easier said than done. I hope you're doing ok Smile xx

Fizzl · 08/06/2020 11:25

@Skb89 I think we can all relate to how you're feeling 💐 it was my first pregnancy too and it does feel a little life consuming. I also spent my 20s in the mindset that I'd leave my 20s to travel and enjoy ourselves and when I got to 30 that's when we'd worry about kids. I fell pregnant 3months before my 30th and thought my life plan had worked perfectly. And now 6months into being 30 I'm panicking that I've left things too late and I'm going to be too old etc etc. It's totally irrational though and our time is nowhere near running out. You will see that most of us on this thread are late 20s through to late 30s so this age seems to be the 'norm'.

Thanks @Leok83 That's reassuring. I just need my body to give me a healthy egg now! Anytime soon preferably 😂. Hope you're doing ok! Hopefully the tww won't drag for you.

@SunnySideUp2020 they said it would take about a week so I'm expecting them to phone at some point early this week. I'm not really expecting any answers from the swabs but hoping they might offer to do something else to see what's happening. It probably is just one of those blips but I'm sure my hormones are a bit iffy so hoping they offer to run some bloods or something (even tho my bloods in feb were apparently fine)

@scrumdiddly123 hopefully your body will be in a better position for the break and having time to rest and reset.

@Annny27 Fingers crossed for you! Hopefully fuller boobs and boots are a good sign 😂

My body just doesn't feel like it's doing anything. I just feel I'm in neutral if that makes any sense 😂 I have no symptoms of af or ovulation. Just nothing. Officially broken due to my confused uterus I think.

Annny27 · 08/06/2020 10:19

Hahaha it always autocorrects to boots for me 🤣🤣 I probably talk about boobs more than boots so my phone should learn haha @sunnysideup2020

Oh that's good you still have a few days for some more dtd then:D

SunnySideUp2020 · 08/06/2020 10:16

SunnySideUp2020 · 08/06/2020 10:15

@annny27
Fuller boots is defo a good sign 👢👢
😁

Annny27 · 08/06/2020 10:00

morning everyone :) 5dpo here!

@scrumdiddly123 I don't know when I will test, my AF arrived at 11dpo last time when it's usually 14 so guess I will go with the flow this month and wait and see! Yes let's hope you ovulate earlier this month as its hard keeping to dtd after so long!

@SunnySideUp2020 glad you have managed to dtd now and hopefully ovulation is soon! What cd are you? No symptoms apart from the usual fuller boots that shows I have ovulate

@Leok83 sore boobs (or more like full boobs for me) too so thats good! Yep I am 5dpo now and feeling calm at the moment haha. When will you test?

@fizzl hoping something happens soon either AF or ovulation!!

scrumdiddly123 · 08/06/2020 09:12

Morning! I’ve had a little break from here over the weekend so just catching up. Welcome to the new ladies, sorry you find yourselves with us but hopefully won’t be for long! 🤞🏻 I hope everyone is doing ok. CD5 for me today and AF has just about left. I’ve just been looking on FF and realised that this cycle will be the first one since December that I haven’t been pregnant/miscarrying or getting over a MC! Which seems crazy, no wonder I didn’t conceive last month with HCG still in my system and the late OV. my poor body obviously needed a rest! Feeling positive about this month though, hopefully I ovulate on time!
Can’t believe you’re still in limbo @Fizzl! How annoying 😫
How’s the 2WW going @Annny27 @Leok83? Anyone else getting close to AF/testing?
