@Fizzl from my google medical training I'd say maybe starts the b vitamins again? I read they regulated hormones? Worth giving it a try... no?

Fizzl · 14/06/2020 11:41

@Annny27 sorry your spotting has started again 😔 it's no consolation but your welcome to join me in feeling totally disheartened, frustrated and hopeless with this whole ttc business at the minute. It won't make you feel better but you're not alone 💐

I've looked into Agnus castus. I'm really tempted but also a bit anxious that it might mess things up further. I'm going to nip to Holland and barrat today and pick some up and mull it over some more.

@Nuggetlover27 that is some willpower there! I'm feeling ok today thanks. Trying to just put everything to the back of my mind but it's impossible! Going to go shopping soon as a bit of a distraction. Trying to get myself out the house most days now as I think my body may have gone into hibernation!

@Leok83 I totally forgot to ask about the scan. I think I'm going to speak with my husband tonight and maybe ring tomorrow to find out a bit more. Part of me wants to give it more time to hopefully just get back to normal but the other part of me needs to do something now to try and sort it. I think I'm probably scared they'll find something wrong! Although my scan in feb was apparently all fine so hopefully it's unlikely.

@SunnySideUp2020 thank you for saying that as I don't feel like I'm coping that well 😂 feel like I'm just bringing a lot of negativity at the minute! So apologies. I do try to exercise most days. I've gone back to doing hiit workouts but I don't push myself too much and make sure I take it easy so I'm not doing anything excessive. Still trying to stick with yoga too. I stopped taking the b-vitamins as I thought at first they were what messed up my cycle Hmm probably not the case. Still take multi vits.

SunnySideUp2020 · 14/06/2020 11:22

@Annny27 i was very hopeful for your cycle too. Have you tested? Or you think it's defo af?

@Leok83 how many dpo are you now?

@Fizzl honestly rant away. You are coping very well with this whole thing. I would be depressed and off mumsnet feeling sorry for myself if that was me. Have you tried to exercise? I know it sounds stupid but might get things moving maybe?
Are you taking the b vitamins?

Abi0795 · 14/06/2020 11:20

@SunnySideUp2020 That is so true, thank you so much. That is exactly the type of advice I needed because I've been in a horrible limbo of not knowing what to do. I think I am scared of how my body might react to having the pessary but I guess I could ask my EPU what advice they could offer on how to get through it. Like you I did think I'd rather know exactly what day it's going to happen rather than keep getting false alarms. I'm so sorry you had to go through this too. I'm 7 weeks also so it sounds like you've had a very similar experience xxx

SunnySideUp2020 · 14/06/2020 11:19

Sorry better isn't the word. Both are horrible thing to go through. But tablet was less painful in my experience...

SunnySideUp2020 · 14/06/2020 11:18

@Abi0795 i would go for the tablet.
I had the tablet for my termination (many many years ago when i was a teenager) and i had the natural one and honestly the tablet is better!- i was 7 weeks for both.
I found much more in control and at least it's over in a day- the cramps were more regular and more like tough period. Whereas with natural it went on over a few days some being almost nothing and some finding myself in a foetus position outside almost crying in pain and having to scoop pregnancy tissues in a public toilet. It's just so unpredictable.

Abi0795 · 14/06/2020 11:08

Thank you for your responses ladies. I'm really torn on what to do because I don't think I can mentally sit here for maybe another 1-3 weeks waiting for this to happen naturally.

However, I am petrified of this tablet as I know the pain can be really intense but I think it gets it over with quicker 😣 maybe I'll speak with EPU today. Xxx

Leok83 · 14/06/2020 10:59

Oh no @Annny27 I really hope it’s not AF. Was really hoping this would be ur cycle.

@Fizzl it must be so disheartening to be waiting so long. Did you look into getting the scan?

Thanks @Nuggetlover27, hopefully AF stays away for you now

@SunnySideUp2020 thanks, ya it prob is too early to see. I tested again today and BFN though so still not feeling its going to be this cycle!

@Abi0795 I’m so sorry ur here, it’s such a difficult thing to go through. Unfortunately I can’t answer about the misoprostol as I went straight for surgery. I hope something starts to happen for you soon.xx

Nuggetlover27 · 14/06/2020 10:37

Morning all

@Annny27 @SunnySideUp2020 its hard not to test but I do hold out. Do find myself holding my breath every time I go to the loo incase AF is here 😂
@Annny27 I'm so sorry to see your post this morning 😔 was really rooting for you this month. Do you still have any hope that it may be anything other than AF?

@Leok83 sorry about your BFN but glad your tests were positive.
My cat can be cute but also likes to "go fishing" in the night (i.e. put his paws in baskets and gaps in draws and pull thing out making noise! Haha) but like you say. I wouldn't have him any other way. He is my baby

@Abi0795 sorry to find you here. I know it's hard. It does get easier. I had a natural MC. We went for our dating scan at 10 weeks and found out baby had stopped growing at 5+4. Later that day my bleeding started and got heavier over there next couple of days. I counted the day I started bleeding as day 1. I still believe the internal scan they did on me prompted the MC to start coming out although obviously I will never know. I bled for a week and a bit. And didn't get my first period for 6 weeks after.
Sometimes it takes your body time to adjust back to normal try not to rush even thought you really want it ❤️

Hope you are feeling better today @Fizzl ?

Annny27 · 14/06/2020 08:12

Screw all my optimism....just had some brown spotting at 11dpo so thats me out for another bloody month

Annny27 · 14/06/2020 07:48

Morning everyone :)

@fizzl you are 100% allowed to rant and be frustrated - its such a standstill for you :( and you are so right about not being able to enjoy pre baby life. I wouldn't mind so much of we could be going on cool holidays, going out for dinner or to shows and stuff :(

Have you read anything online about how to naturally restart your cycle? That sucks that it will be approaching a 2nd missed period soon:(

How's everyone else? I am 11dpo, no spotting yet which is a good sign...but my period arrived at 11dpo last month so I am hoping to atleast have a longer LP this month

Fizzl · 13/06/2020 21:53

I also realise my problems right now are nothing in comparison to what some people are experiencing and I keep trying to hold onto that perspective when it feels like everything's against me at the minute. I know it's really not in the grand scheme of things and I am thankful for that.

Fizzl · 13/06/2020 21:52

Still nothing happening here 😭 I'm starting to get a little worried about it all now as I really hoped I'd just skipped 1 cycle but now I'm quickly heading towards missing 2 cycles and still haven't ovulated.

I feel at a bit of a loss as I know I can't go back to the GP yet. They clearly think it's because I'm anxious/stressed but it's a catch 22 because it's my lack of cycle now causing the anxiety! Not sure they will see it that way tho.

Felt quite tearful about it all today I just want my body to function. And if it's not going to function I want to be enjoying our life doing all the things we won't be able to when a baby arrives but I can't do that either 😒 all feels doubly cruel today. Sorry being a bit of a moaning minnie!

@Leok83 I've read lots of positive things and told my Dh it's scientifically proven and not just all 'woo'😂. Glad your appointments gone well and sounds like your having a bit of a mot so fingers crossed that all comes back good for you!

@Abi0795 sorry you're hear 💐. I can't offer much advice about natural/medical as I had surgery as I just needed it all over and dealt with as my body wasn't showing any signs doing anything naturally. It's not for everyone though and it's a personal choice. There's nothing wrong in feeling how you do and we can relate. It's an awful situation to be in.

Annny27 · 13/06/2020 21:37

@sunnysideup2020 I have got it in my mind now that wouldn't be lovely to announce a pregnancy to DH on fathers day next Sunday.....don't know why I torture myself haha

@abi0795 those are the tablets I took to induce the miscarriage as literally didn't even have spotting and baby had stopped growing 3 weeks ago at that point! I would give it a week longer maybe. The tablets were fine but they did cause a lot of bowel cramps and obviously uterus cramps which were quite painful but I suspect all miscarriages are that level of pain anyway.

OP posts:
Abi0795 · 13/06/2020 21:30

Does anyone have any experience with Misoprostol? I've basically been given the option to wait for it to all come out naturally or take this. The problem is I had a big bleed Wednesday and then brown spotting, I've had cramps yesterday and today but unfortunately no heavy bleeding yet. I have no idea what to do 😢 I don't want this to go on any longer xxx

SunnySideUp2020 · 13/06/2020 21:16

@Leok83 sorry it was bfn but still so early! Also she would not see a bean yet or even a sac so therr s still hope x

@Annny27 🤞 that this is a pregnancy symptoms

@Abi0795 sorry you find yourself here x
I had a natural mc and like @scrumdiddly123 said i counted the first red blood full on bleed as CD 1 and ovulated exactly 16 days later which is my normal cycle. From my experience i would advise to wait until your bleeding completely stop before dtd again. Dp and I were a bit too keen and i got an infection which brought me to A&E. I know there are pretty rare but it's just not worth it ...
Be kind to yourself and make sure you have some support. When the big bleed starts you might get strong cramps... like mini contractions.

scrumdiddly123 · 13/06/2020 18:56

Hi @Abi0795 so sorry for your loss. I’ve had three natural miscarriages and have counted the first day of full flow bleeding as day 1. Hear if you need to talk/vent, it’s a truly awful thing to go through xx

Annny27 · 13/06/2020 17:25

Afternoon ladies :) I am exhausted today honestly so the progesterone is definitely doing its work whether its AF or pregnancy haha!

Sorry about bfn @Leok83 :( always sucks to see!:( but great news that everything looked good physically on your examination!

@abi0795 sorry about your loss lovely! For me I had to have a medically induced miscarriage and then surgery so my first day of miscarriage was when I took the tablets and it started pretty much full flow! Sorry I can't be of much help but I know some of the other girls Had natural miscarriages

Abi0795 · 13/06/2020 11:44

Hi Ladies,
I really hope you don't mind if I join! I unfortunately have suffered a miscarriage at 7 weeks, found out yesterday that beans heart had stopped. I haven't actually started bleeding really heavy yet and I'm really looking for some advice. I am spotting lightly at the moment but when would the first day of your miscarriage actually be classed as? We are really keen to start TTC as soon as we can, I had accepted something wasn't right with this pregnancy quite early on so I'm craving to be pregnant again.
Any advice would be appreciated and I'm so sorry everyone has had to experience a loss ❤️

Leok83 · 13/06/2020 10:50

Thanks everyone! Unfortunately BFN this morning but had my appointment and thankfully my ultrasound is all good (no sign of a bean so I’d say I’m out this month anyways!) Getting tested for clotting and myself and DH getting testing for genetic defects on Monday but he said it’s unlikely anything shows and to just keep trying for now. Now I’ve had all that testing done I’ll be waiting a for AF now to test in future.

@Annny27 and @Nuggetlover27 cats can be serious thugs in the middle of the night although urs sounds very sweet @Nugget! I can cope with cuddles, that’s his day time thing but middle of the night he knocks my water down, then my phone, scratches the door..anything he can do to wake me! I hand reared him into a spoilt monster but I love him dearly despite his night time antics😂
Have my 🤞 for you guys now to give us long overdue BFPs!!

@Fizzl I’m glad the accupuncture went well, My DH is the same not believing it could work but I’ve I know in my field of work (veterinary) it has definitely been clinically proven to work for arthritis and so I think it’s definitely worth a try! Also my mum and sister swear by it for arthritis and injuries.

Annny27 · 13/06/2020 07:25

morning everybody 🙌

@Leok83 good luck with the testing🤞🤞 we are well overdue a bfp on here haha

@SunnySideUp2020 yeah thats true! Some people get all the symptoms and some people get none! Last pregnancy I was noticeably tired from 10dpo and then felt like I had a bit of a cold 11dpo but I could have just been tired with a cold and might not even have been pregnancy related 🤣

@Nuggetlover27 yep I used to be such an early tester but I seem to have broken the cycle these past months. Much less stress and much less expensive 🙈🥳

@Fizzl I feel you :( when I have a long cycle (37 days) I get annoyed knowing that if I had had a normal cycle I would have had ovulation by the time I was having my AF for the long cycle

OP posts:
SunnySideUp2020 · 12/06/2020 18:43

@Fizzl glad you felt good with acupuncture... and really hoping it gets things moving down there !
I can totally understand you with having ovulation/tww envy right now. 😔

@Annny27 arghh i know this moment when you realise you cant even make up symptoms !! So annoying but you are stilll early and personally last time didnt get any before 12 dpo.

@Leok83
Good luck for tomorrow lovely x

@Nuggetlover27 such a good thing to be able to wait to test. I think cp are really sad and when you test early it can happen...
Definitely with you on waiting (although never managed to wait for AF myself)

Nuggetlover27 · 12/06/2020 14:32

@Leok83 @Annny27 I'm doing okay , no symptoms yet. I'm looking for them (maybe too hard). Am I imagining needing a wee more frequently 😂
My cat likes to lay on me in the middle of the night for a cuddle but I barely wake up anymore haha
Yes also hoping to wait longer. The plan is if AF isn't here by next weekend I will test. That'll be between weeks 5 and 6 since my last AF
🤞🏻 for us all!

Keep your hopes up @Fizzl ovulation could be any day for you 🤞🏻

Fizzl · 12/06/2020 13:00

@Nuggetlover27 definitely worth looking into. If nothing else I feel a little more in control and like I'm being proactive and doing something. It may not work but no harm in trying I thought! I think my husband thinks I'm just burning money as he's generally quite sceptical about these kind of things but I think he's just happy it's keeping me happy for now 😂

@Leok83 cramps have disappeared today so I'm not too hopeful now but we'll see! She did say she was going to 'aggravate' my uterus tho 😂 maybe it's just being stubborn and I don't expect miracles straight away. How has your appointment gone?

@Annny27 ahh let's watch this space! We all established a long time ago symptoms spotting is pretty pointless but can't help but ask!

I can't believe I'm missing all these two week waits. Think I have ovulation envy as well as pregnancy envy right now 😑😒

Annny27 · 12/06/2020 09:25

Morning ladies 9dpo and 0 symptoms 🤣

@fizzl couldn't even make a symptom up, honestly nothing haha! Got the usual sore boobs (and sore boots :p) and increased hunger like I usually do in tww but not particularly tired or anything. So we'll see!

@Leok83 good luck for testing tomorrow but don't be too disheartened if its bfn because obviously still early! My cat also likes to wake us up early especially when it's light outside haha

@Nuggetlover27 I will try wait till 12dpo at earliest, hopefully wait a little longer 🤞any symptoms?
