Hi,
Just ovulated for the first time after my missed miscarriage at 13 weeks (baby had stopped growing at 6-7) and wondered if anyone wanted to keep me company while we go through the ups and downs of ttc all over again! ! Xx

Morning all!

Welcome, @Mcbee26. I'm so sorry for the loss of your baby girl and am hoping for a positive journey to your next pregnancy for you 💕

Welcome also @memily. So sorry for your loss also 💕 Afraid I've never tracked fertility so can't help there but sure somebody who has will be along soon 😊

@Threnody I'm glad you're feeling a bit more positive 🙂

@Poppy10121 It is nice to have that half hour to just get out, isn't it?! I think I've just finished week two so am only a little behind you but only doing two sessions a week for now. I didn't run at all when pregnant as was too nervous to, don't know what I'd do next time, see how I feel I guess. In fact, I had one day when I did run when pregnant, I really felt in the mood, and now of course I worry that that must have been a sign that baby had died... it's so easy to overthink everything, isn't it?!
Hope your period ends soon - I know what you mean about constantly having to be wearing pads, it's incessant!

How's everyone doing today? I'm once again not being very productive at work and got up too late to exercise so overall not a great start to the day 😂🙈 Must have a more productive afternoon!

Poppy10121 · 26/05/2020 09:52

@Hettie1981 That sounds so tough, especially to get that news at a private scan :( I really hope for you that because the EPU didn't mention it, maybe it's not significant and the first sonographer didn't know what they were talking about? But also if it is a factor, it can be corrected - a friend of mine had surgery for this and now has a baby :)

@SkyBlue20 It must be hard if you have bad knees as well as being inactive for a few months! Well done for keeping on with it :) I started it right after my MM and am now on week 4. It's making me feel much better about my body to be doing something positive for myself and it gives me half an hour of mental space too while I run around the park - so I'm glad I decided to do it. I assume I'll keep going even if I get pregnant again but not sure how I'll feel.

Hi @Mcbee26 and @memily Smile
It's nice to have so many people on this journey, but sad what everyone has gone through to get here. Hope you are doing OK and hopefully you will have some happy news soon.

I am on day 4 of my period and after being so glad to see it, I'm now desperate for it to be over! With one thing and another I feel like there's only been a few days in recent memory I've not had to wear a pad or pantliner and I am sick of it!!

Threnody · 26/05/2020 00:47

Hi @AlisonLew15, @Mcbee26 and @memily, sorry for your losses.
@mcbee26 that must be so difficult, I keep wondering if my baby was a girl or a boy, we were hoping for a girl, as we have 2 boys and 1 girl at the moment.

I'm also hoping to conceive by July, we usually conceive first month ttc. I've been taking my supplements, though had a break from them just after the miscarriage, and have been dieting and exercising to get my bmi down as it was at 30 when I got pregnant and I don't want to have to have the Fragmin injections I would have had to have. Trying to exercise more, but it's difficult to fit it in these days. I've been tracking temperature this cycle. Feeling more positive about it than even just a week ago.

memily · 25/05/2020 21:41

Hi everyone! I’d like to join in this thread if that’s ok?
I had an ectopic pregnancy at 7+ weeks and my right Fallopian tube removed at the end of January and we are now on cycle 3 of TTC.
I bought clear blue ovulation tests this month to see what’s going on and try to get some timings right! I’m CD14 and have had flashing smiley faces for the last 7 days. I’m really hoping my peak fertility solid smiley face appears soon! Has anyone else had experience of long ‘high fertility’ periods?x

Mcbee26 · 25/05/2020 21:25

Hi ladies is it okay If I can join??

My little girl sadly passed away at 15 weeks which we knew was high chance of happening from 12 week scan as she was very sick with a cystic hygroma and fetal heart droplets. Still waiting on post mortem results but have had all clear from chromosome issues so far and confirmation she was intact a wee girl. My heart is still totally broken as would be expected but also because I have 3 boys just now iv always wanted a wee girl of my own anyway......
That was nearly 4 weeks ago, I have zero idea where I am on my cycle as still no period but we’ve been DTD anyway in hope, had positive tests the last couple days with first response but thinking it’s still hcg from baby girl. So il be hanging around waiting on AF and getting ready to track ovulation xx

SkyBlue20 · 25/05/2020 19:35

@poppy10121 I’ve been doing couch to 5k for the last couple of weeks, too - my physio told me to do it around Dec last year as a way of easing myself back in to running as I have bad knees but then I stopped when I got pregnant and have started afresh over the last two or three weeks. I’m only doing two sessions a week because of my knees and am finding it so hard (I’m used to a treadmill, outside is so much harder plus I’ve not done it in so long!) but am enjoying it. Like you say, it’s something to focus on ☺️ I just want to get back up to running like I used to but I’ve lost my fitness completely and have to ease myself in because of my knees - last time I overdid it I couldn’t even step off a curb without being in agony 😔 How’re you getting on with it? Xx

Hettie1981 · 25/05/2020 19:29

@Poppy10121
I had an early private scan at 10 weeks just because of the whole covid thing and wanted my partner there as I was convinced something would go wrong. Obviously was told there was no heartbeat and that I had a partial septate uterus and that this would likely cause infertility!. I was devastated on both parts, but mainly because he had taken away my hope for the future. 3 days later I went for my EPU appointment, confirmed no heartbeat but didn't even mention any uterus issue until I mentioned it. The sonographer said there was definitely no septate possible slight bicordinate. I asked the doctor after and she said it wasn't even mentioned on the sonographers report so must be quite insignificant if there at all.
So I am clinging onto that. As a nurse myself I know that reports are thorough from scans etc so fingers crossed it was just unlucky that last time. Sorry for the long post xx

Poppy10121 · 25/05/2020 19:18

@hettie1981 did they pick up the bicordinate uterus while doing the scan?

I have also been taking folic acid and vitamin d throughout, I started Couch to 5K after the miscarriage to give myself something positive to focus on after weeks of nothing.

SkyBlue20 · 25/05/2020 19:17

@Poppy10121 Glad I’m not alone in somehow giving myself these deadlines! I just keep thinking I’ll have a baby in April next year and like you say, thinking about events we may have to miss/have a newborn at!

I think this time round I’ll just try to be healthy again (though I did that last time too) and I am trying to exercise a bit more to start off right. I definitely have not kept an eye on how much I’m drinking but I will when we start TTC again - for now I’m just enjoying it while I can 😂🙈

Welcome, @AlisonLew15, I’m so sorry for your loss xx

Hettie1981 · 25/05/2020 15:46

@Poppy10121
I know what you mean, I am doing everything I can to give my body the opportunity to heal and be in the best possible place for our hopeful next time.
Been taking my folic acid and vitamin D all the way through miscarriage, as well as fruit and veg capsules, been trying to be much more active, eating healthily, never really started drinking again except for a few in the sun.
They think I may have a bicordinate uterus, so non of these things will make a huge difference but I feel like I need to know i did everything possible to make it work.
I am also hoping to be pregnant again by July, especially as we conceived almost straight away, but also know this may not happen this time.
Hope you're all enjoying the last bit of Bank Holiday weekend. Back to exercise, healthy eating oh and work tomorrow. Xx

AlisonLew15 · 25/05/2020 14:47

Hi everyone. Tagging on as I feel like I’m in a similar boat.
Trying again after miscarriage complications. Picked up on my 12 week scan in November 2019. Had 2 lots of medical management - didn’t work. Had surgical 3rd Jan 2020. Been trying now for about 2 months, recently got OPKs.
Happy bank holiday everyone- enjoy the sunshine!

Poppy10121 · 25/05/2020 14:39

@skyblue20 I know exactly what you mean I’ve also been convinced I’ll be pregnant again by July (when thinking about next year for all these rescheduled weddings and other events!) but just because I was pregnant quickly first time around doesn’t mean we will be now I suppose, after everything our bodies have been through. I’m not sure if I actually ovulated this cycle as I was using ovulation tests just in case I did get pregnant before first period and didn’t get a positive.

Will you be doing anything different this time around? I’m planning to be much more careful about everything good and drink related while we are trying and also try to be more healthy. Not that I think these things were a factor as we had a heartbeat at 8 weeks so I know it’s nothing I did wrong while TTC but also just don’t want any “what if’s”

SkyBlue20 · 25/05/2020 14:20

Afternoon everyone! Happy sunny bank holiday Monday! I’m spending my day lying in the garden and it is blissful.

@Workingmama1 How’s the pain doing? Hope it’s easing off for you 💕 In terms of waiting for TOTM to arrive, I’ve kind of convinced myself it’ll arrive at the weekend (when I’ll only just be four weeks post-MVA so I know that’s stupid) and haven’t really thought past that but I know if it doesn’t I’ll be really disappointed, I really don’t want to have to wait long at all, I want to get going TTC again. In my head I’ve subconsciously been assuming I’ll be pregnant again by June/July which I KNOW logically may not happen but my subconscious won’t listen, so if things don’t happen on my timeline, I think it’ll be tough.

@Hettie1981 Glad AF has arrived for you. I hadn’t even thought about what the actual period would be like but did some googling the other day and apparently it’s really normal that it’s a lot heavier.

Welcome @Furbabymum15, I’m so sorry for your loss and SO sorry that it’s the second time, it really is awful. How’re you feeling?

@Threnody Welcome and so sorry for your loss 💕

Hi @Poppy10121, nice to see you. Glad your period has arrived and especially glad you’re doing ok and have been enjoying all the things pregnancy didn’t allow! I too have been very much enjoying soft cheeses and wine - might as well while we still can!

Poppy10121 · 25/05/2020 13:31

Hi, I’ve joined from the Missed Miscarriage thread so recognise quite a few of you here @SkyBlue20 @Smilingdonkey @Sakura54 @runningoutofgoodnames @Workingmama1 waves

I left the threads for a bit since I got my scan to confirm everything was over. Had a couple of weeks enjoying drinking and eating soft cheeses, we were loosely TTC but more in a not taking precautions way. On Saturday I got my period (6 weeks after medical management) and until that happened I hadn’t realised how relieved I would feel! I’m now really glad we didn’t conceive straight away and have the worry of dating etc as that was part of the concern last time. Didn’t quite appreciate this advice til now.

Enjoying a last few days of wine until period ends and then I’m going to be on it with the OPKs and symptom tracking.

Hoping that all you ladies still waiting get your period soon and looking forward to happy stories from everyone in this boat x

Workingmama1 · 24/05/2020 20:07

It's good that af has returned so quickly @Hettie1981 although I can understand having mixed feelings when it does.

Welcome @furbabymum15 and @threnody. Sorry you find yourselves here but hopefully you can find support on this thread.

Threnody · 24/05/2020 19:28

Thanks @Dipsy77, sorry for your loss. It's such a shock, I think, and scary to be trying again.

Dipsy77 · 24/05/2020 19:19

@Threnody welcome and sorry for your loss these forums are really good though it's good to have support from people who have been through the same hope your doing ok x

Threnody · 24/05/2020 17:21

Hi ladies, can I join you? Had a missed miscarriage in March, picked up at my 12 week scan, followed by surgical management. I've had 2 af since, and hoping to start ttc next month, as I want to lose a bit of weight first. I'm 40, so don't want to waste too much time, or leave too big a gap between children.

Dipsy77 · 24/05/2020 16:52

@Furbabymum15 welcome and sorry for your loss I had a MMC in feb at 9.5weeks which was medically managed. I'm 43 too in the same boat I'm on my 2nd cycle as I bled for a while having retained product. It's such an awful place to be but these forums really help hope your doing ok x

Furbabymum15 · 24/05/2020 16:46

Hi ladies can I join please. I've just had a medically managed miscarriage on Tuesday. My baby stopped developing at 10+3 it was picked up at the 12 wk scan. Second time this has happened me.

I'm not waiting for a period as this is obviously for dating accuracy. I'm 42 with no time or eggs to waste.

I will wait for a negative test tho 🙃

Sakura54 · 24/05/2020 16:41

@SkyBlue20 Maybe I’m wrong, but I feel that we won’t get an infection if they don’t ejaculate inside lol. It’s also to prevent pregnancy before period returns. I agree, after what we’ve been through, not knowing if dates correspond with baby size would be a nightmare.

@Workingmama1 I’d say give it another few weeks and test. I hope your period doesn’t come!

It’s been nearly a month since my MVA, so I’m going to give my period another month to show up. I hardly bled at all apart from straight after, although I did bleed a bit in the 4 days before it. That’s great that yours came back on time @Hettie1981 I also read that too, so yes we will have an extra long cycle this time.

Hettie1981 · 24/05/2020 16:07

@mrsAndeke
After medical management. Had that 21st April. Think I was lucky with the bleeding etc as only bled heavily for the one first night. All the clots passed the first night, then only on wiping for about 4 days. Total 33 days after bleeding started. I ve read to start your cycle from first day of miscarriage bleeding. As I had MMC counted it from medical management day. It is longer then my usual cycle which is about 26 days but I kind of guessed it would be a bit different. Hope this helps xx

mrsAndeke · 24/05/2020 15:59

@Hettie1981 did you AF come 4 weeks after management or when Bleeding stopped? This is one of the things that has been confusing me?

Hettie1981 · 24/05/2020 15:33

@workingmama1
Just see what happens and how you feel I guess.
My AF arrived yesterday 4+3 weeks after medical management. Mixed feelings about it. Glad its here so we can hopefully move on, but sad as it shows its all done.
I can't even remember what a normal period was to me and its only been since Feb. Seems to be much heavier then normal but I kind of expected that.

Hope everyone is OK and enjoying Bank Holiday weekend..well as much as we can.

mrsAndeke · 24/05/2020 15:30

@Workingmama1 I'm doing well, I've been feeling crampy a lot in my ovaries but not due on for another two week, I'm just confused as don't think I'm ovulating, and I only finished bleeding two weeks ago, and 4 weeks since my MVA. Just waiting for AF to arrive, so then I can track properly or to do a test, but god who knows!
