I didn't want to miss everyone's BFPs this week and our last bus is nearly full up so thought I'd jump over here.

@SmileyT thank you. I've hopped on the June bus now as I'm defo out now! You're due on, on Monday right?
Safe bet I reckon @Kodasmom best of luck for Tuesday!

Kodasmom · 16/05/2020 12:45

Morning everyone, sorry to those who have seen BFN’s this morning. It’s a horrible feeling no matter how much you prepare for it.

@MrsDh2019 thank you for the advice I really appreciate it. I’m still no clearer lol.

I got another faint line this morning, so faint that I didn’t see it my DH did. I think I’m still not convinced so I didn’t even squint to look for it. I’ve had no cramps today but still brown spotting when I wipe.

At this stage now I’m not testing anymore until AF tells me on Monday/Tuesday.

Thank you everyone for the past few days. It really helps having others to talk to that are in this situation. If AF comes I will definitely be jumping onto the June bus because you all help get through this journey much easier. ❤️

SmileyT · 16/05/2020 12:09

@Noble89 yeah that is really shit when we just don't know what's going on, really hoping it's a late implantation and it comes to something but totally get why you're feeling so fed up. Even though it was crap when I got the BFN because I knew it was the final answer it actually made me relax a bit.

@leaferty @notyetamumbuttrying sorry it was BFNs again today 😕

@Richmonder definitely not bad for wanting to be pregnant I think all of us want to be pregnant as soon as possible so don't feel strange for feeling that way. Well done on holding off testing, hope it's good news after the weekend.

Just lying in bed while DP is in the shower and my period decided to come on in full force, really strange that my Fitbit app seems to be the most accurate app for predicting period even though it's definitely not a fertility app 🙈

@SmileyT I'm just fed up mate. No idea what's going on with my body. Still spotting but hasn't developed any further as I thought it would but got another BFN so honestly can't figure out what's going on with me. I'm just gonna keep testing each day until AF arrives. I don't think it's implantation bleeding but we shall see.

Richmonder · 16/05/2020 08:56

Morning! I must confess, I haven’t been checking the thread as much as it was making me want to test! I only have one in the cupboard and I’m not buying another one this month - if I put it on here I won’t do it

12DPO, AF due in 2 days apparently so I’m trying to keep busy over the weekend! Think I might do the weeding, that should occupy me for a while Grin

DH has just been informed we’re going overseas with work in the next 8 weeks or so, is it bad I’d quite like to be pregnant before we go so that I don’t feel like I’ve got to start from scratch again?

notyetamumbuttrying · 16/05/2020 08:02

Same @leaferty. I'll come on tomorrow, bit gutted as we'd done it 3 days in a row in run up to ov when usually it'd be every other day so was hoping that would make all the difference but nah lol! We'd use preseed as well. Fingers crossed for us for June definitely! Will you join the June bus now?

leaferty · 16/05/2020 07:37

BFN this morning. Booo. Fingers crossed for June then.

SmileyT · 16/05/2020 06:26

@Noble89 how are you feeling today has the spotting continued? I hope your body stops playing games with you and either gives you your BFP today or AF starts tomorrow.

Welcome @RiverRoo I have only started tracking ovulation since I started ttc which was after a MC in March, but the two months I've tracked I've ovulated CD18 (1st cycle after MC) and CD14. Remember that in theory sperm can survive for up to 5 days so if you are basing conception on the day you had sex it could be up to 5 days out. If you've been tracking your cycles it will give you a rough idea on how regular your ovulation date is, the amount of days between ovulation and period should be pretty set so it's the days before ovulation that vary if cycle length varies.

@leaferty I think everyone feels in a similar way sometimes, it can be so consuming you are definitely not alone in those thoughts. I really hope that you are pleasantly surprised when you test in the morning x

I am lying in bed unable to sleep because I can't stop thinking about wanting to be pregnant.

I'm 10dpo on Saturday morning so will no doubt lose all self control and test again in the morning. I'm sure it will be negative as I just have that gut feeling this isn't by month but the teeny glimmer of hope and all the waiting is a killer!

It's such a relief to cone on here and be able to chat to others in the save boat.

I've got my fingers crossed for all of you testing over the weekend xx

Hi everyone! I am new to the May bus after a misleading evap line on a pregnancy test last month. I had some time away from Mumsnet but am ready to return! I wish everyone luck this month wherever they are in their cycle!!

Brief background. I have a 2 year old son and we want to give him a sibling. We had a MMC in Feb and this is my second cycle TTC - no luck last month. This is the first time I have used an OPK - previously I have used the CM method only. Do you ladies find that you ovulate on a different day month to month? I only ask as I conceived my son around day 13 but the MMC was conceived around day 20!!

I’m currently on CD 13 with no smiley face yet but I’m really looking forward to pinpointing my ovulation this month. If we do manage to fall pregnant and I ovulate in the next few days we will be one of the last on this thread to find out in May!!

MrsDh2019 · 15/05/2020 20:16

@Kodasmom I just wanted to chime in and say I completely feel you on this one. My tests have been coming up with strange shadow lines for a couple days now and I don’t know what the hell it all means. It’s starting to honestly drive me crazy my emotions just don’t know what to do?! I held off doing another test today (11dpo) because my DH has hidden them all from me 😂 but it’s has made me feel a lot more chilled out and regain my sanity a little bit! I so easily get caught up in this TTC web 😖 but having strange vague tests doesn’t help at all does it?! Hope it all becomes a little clearer for you over the next few days ❤️ I will be testing again on Monday when AF due but so far not had anything to signal AF and usually she makes her presence well known a few days in advance 😣🤷🏻‍♀️ Here’s some pics of my tests... don’t know whether I’m coming or going from them throwing up weird shadowy lines. They are from different batches aswell so not sure on them all just being off, could all be Evaps though 🤷🏻‍♀️but all I know is my eyes hurt from looking at them 😂😳! X

Hey @SmileyT pretty sure I'm gonna be joining you on the June bus. Spotting has gotten a bit heavier, not like AF yet but enough to mark my underwear so I feel like AF is imminent. I'm on CD27 so like you I'm thinking maybe this month was about getting my cycle back to normal at last. I was always 28 days but have been all over since my MC and have been 33 days the last 2 cycles. Fingers crossed this was just our bodies taking a month to get back to normal and June is our month!

SmileyT · 15/05/2020 16:37

Definitely fell asleep after I posted at 6am this morning 😴

@Noble89 @MrsDh2019 I randomly had spotting last month at 13dpo, I can't remember ever having this before but tbh if I had I may have just forgotten about it and used a pad the day before AF but definitely could be implantation.

@Dreaming101 I tested this morning because I was doing an LH test and thought why not it was a BFN and I'm just focussing on next month now, I've read that any implantation after 11dpo is not likely to end well as the embryo is slow and probably has some abnormalities so I'm not keen to implant this late as I'm pretty certain of ovulation date. Also even if something was trying to implant it won't be after my fall down the stairs 🙈Definitely early for you to be testing though so Sunday sounds like a good plan.

@Kodasmom sorry that it's so uncertain at the moment it really isn't shit situation, really hope your period stays away.

I'm just holding onto the fact that if AF comes on Sunday as expected I will have returned to a normal cycle following MC in March, ovulation on CD14 and 28 day cycle and moving on to the next month. Hope everyone has some fun things planned for the weekend, my sister is coming over (I know it's very naughty but I'm travelling to work everyday so feel like I deserve to see one member of my family) xx

@Kodasmom I buy a batch of the cheap tests think its something like £4 for 20 of them on amazon so I can POAS as many times as I like to satisfy the curiosity without feeling bad about using up the tests. I have 2 dearer ones on standby to use as a confirmer if I get a definite positive on one of the cheap ones. However with my first it was the internet cheapy that picked up the positive very clearly before clear blue did!

Really hoping you get a lovely strong line tomorrow morn, if not maybe buy the cheaper ones so you can test as many times as you want ......and dont need to tell the hubby how many you did ;)

Kodasmom · 15/05/2020 14:35

Thanks @notyetamumbuttrying @Dreaming101 @DKDK123

It’s put me in bad form now. It’s so hard not to get your hopes up when you’ve all the symptoms. I think I’ll talk him into me POAS tomorrow morning with FMU to see.

If AF comes next week I think I might try and talk to my GP.

I hope you’re all having a good day!!

jaxs23 · 15/05/2020 14:24

First morning urine

Dreaming101 · 15/05/2020 14:12

Also sorry guys if this is a silly question.. what is FMU?

Dreaming101 · 15/05/2020 14:05

@DKDK123 I wonder if it’s a common thing for us women? I’d never heard of it before!

@Kodasmom don’t beat yourself up and don’t tell the hubby if it’s going to stress you both out. It’s not hiding something from him to be nasty. I would 100% have done the same thing. I tested last night knowing it would be a BFN just on the off chance it could be a lil positive..

DKDK123 · 15/05/2020 13:59

@Dreaming101 I was reading up on it and the first one was a failed attempted to release an egg and your body senses it so tries again a few days later to release another one - how fascinating are our bodies!

@Kodasmom dont beat yourself up about it I wouldn't have been able to wait either! There's no way I could wait till sunday either I'd be doing one tomorrow morn with FMU, I'm too impatient for waiting 😂 Early testing does have its draw backs tho in that you could be made aware of a chemical that you may otherwise not have known about. I've had 2 but as disappointing as they are at the time I get comfort from knowing at least I can fall pregnant so I dont mind early testing. Keeping everything crossed you just need it to be FMU to get that stronger line 🤞🤞🤞

notyetamumbuttrying · 15/05/2020 13:19

@Kodasmom it wasn't FMU though so hopefully that's why it was negative. Wait until Sunday and try again. I'm testing again tomorrow with a FRER but then if negative again I'll just wait for AF on Sunday n if she doesn't show wait two more days and then test again. Don't beat yourself up too much, it's done now.

Kodasmom · 15/05/2020 13:06

@notyetamumbuttrying I’m 12dpo, AF is due on Monday. I feel so stupid and because my BFP was so faint yesterday morning, plus the spotting and cramping, I have been having doubts. I always thought FRER were most reliable. I wish now I had just waited until Sunday to test again

notyetamumbuttrying · 15/05/2020 13:02

@Kodasmom don't tell him lol! I haven't told mine when I tested at 12dpo. How many dpo are you today?

Kodasmom · 15/05/2020 12:52

Aw girls I’m such a dick. I was waiting on FRER tests in the post and they came today so I tested when DH was away as I knew he’d go mad lol I got a BFN 😭 I’m totally disheartened. I knew I shouldn’t have been doing it but I couldn’t resist the urge.

I can bring myself to tell him. Why do I have to be this crazy and impatient!!!!

Dreaming101 · 15/05/2020 12:02

@DKDK123 I have had two peaks too! Apparently the second one is the true peak.

DKDK123 · 15/05/2020 10:37

Hi all, just hopped on over and catching up with everyones news. Seems like there's quite a few will find out one way or another over the weekend. Keeping everything crossed for you all 🤞
I'm now on the ever dragging TWW 😴 I've no idea if I even ovulated this month as I had 2 rises followed by falls this cycle but neither of the rises hit what's usually a peak for me. I've been reading articles about the lockdown causing havoc with a lot of womens cycles due to stress, it's definitely doing it to mine this month! Anyone else find their cycle suddenly out of whack the past month or so? Now just trying to work out how to lower my stress levels in the middle of a pandemic, working from home with a toddler climbing the walls because he cant go to the park .....wine and chocolate is my only solution 😂
