I didn't want to miss everyone's BFPs this week and our last bus is nearly full up so thought I'd jump over here.

@Rosyposyrose please try not to worry and take your DH approach of “life going on”. I work across all pre and post natal maternity care wards and I have literally just started trying for baby #2 so it hasn’t put me off and I’m walking around in full PPE all shift 😆💖 Ofcourse the care you will receive will still be to a high standard (albeit some appointments without your DH by your side) but you will be fine and totally put at ease 😊 in fact all the mums we’ve had discussions with have all said they don’t know what they were even worried about and actually post-natally they have all bonded a lot more with other New mums on the wards as they haven’t had their family members and fathers of the babies secluding them into their own little sections - it’s been actually quite a lovely experience. 😊 I hope you make the right decision for you whatever that may be and sending baby dust should you wish to continue with TTC #2 😊x

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/05/2020 19:50

@Noble89 yeah on June bus now as started this morning as suspected! Hope June is our month, I really do!!

DKDK123 · 17/05/2020 18:38

@Rosyposyrose you're definitely not being silly it's a serious concern to think about. We've been trying for 9months but when things started to heat up with coronavirus we did consider whether to keep trying or stop. My first pregnancy was very difficult and they had me in and out of hospital like a yoyo so I was really concerned about having to go through all that again at a time when there's a high risk virus going on. In the end we decided that given falling pregnant right away hasnt been easy so if we stop now we could still be trying a year or two down the line and at 36 age is starting to go against me so we're going to keep trying despite all that's going on but it wasnt an easy decision either way, there were definite good grounds for both options and even now I do question at times if we're doing the right thing.
If only we all had a crystal ball to see into the future find out when this will all be over!

Mich2020 · 17/05/2020 18:26

Still holding out for the digital 🙈🙈 yes seems to be darker than yesterday's xx

SmileyT · 17/05/2020 18:22

@Noble89 yeah I jumped over to the June bus, feeling so bleurgh today my period is so heavy 😩 how you feeling? x

@Mich2020 can OH see it today or is he still holding out on digital? Is the line darker than yesterday? Very exciting times 🥳

Noble89 · 17/05/2020 18:01

@notyetamumbuttrying @SmileyT hey ladies! Definitely AF yesterday and in full force today!

It's all good though, means a new cycle and time to try again. 🤞 June is our month! Are you ladies over on the June bus already?

Mich2020 · 17/05/2020 17:49

This was my frer from this morning.. still see a line there? It seems to be darker in real life xx

May Bus Continued...
SmileyT · 17/05/2020 16:49

@Rosyposyrose hey lovely, I agree it's such a personal decision... for me after a MC at the beginning of lockdown I really wanted to try again. Both me and OH are key workers so not worried about job loss or anything and now that lockdown is calming and private scan clinics are back up and running I'm not too concerned. My friend is 32 weeks pregnant with a low risk pregnancy and has said there hasn't been too much change for her. If I had any underlying medical conditions I might feel differently though x

OP posts:
notyetamumbuttrying · 17/05/2020 12:26

@Rosyposyrose this is a tough one as as you say it's personal preference. We're all carrying on because who knows when it'll happen? If u were to fall straight away then you wouldn't be giving birth until February so I'd hope by then, there'd be a bit more normalcy but who knows. If you're in no rush then wait a while longer, but don't put your life on hold for something that has no end in sight.

Rosyposyrose · 17/05/2020 11:48

Rosyposyrose

Hi ladies. We had been planning to start trying this month for our 2nd lo but I'm starting to worry about whether we should postpone with all the coronovirus stuff going on.

My husband says life has to go on but also understands my worry about hospital trips and giving birth in a pandemic.

I know it's a personal decision but am I being silly?

SmileyT · 16/05/2020 21:33

@DKDK123 I actually get so frustrated at the fact I was avoiding pregnancy using the 'withdrawal method' by trying to avoid sex around estimated ovulation when I concieved in Jan and now I'm like why isn't this happening FFS but I guess it's literally just a roll of the dice. Hope you get to enjoy some of your TWW and you get your BFP at the end ❤️

@OnNaturesCourse welcome 🙏 you may want to jump on the June bus aswell as I'm guessing you'll be testing in June now and a fair few of us are moving across June Bus - who's on board? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/3899138-june-bus-who-s-on-board

@MrsDh2019 oh so sorry it was a BFN on your FRER but like you say at least you can focus on next month and stop worrying about the silly shadows x

OP posts:
MrsDh2019 · 16/05/2020 20:22

Think I might be joining the June bus ladies. Caved and took a FRER this evening and it has come up completely stark BFN. I know I’m still not due AF just yet (12 dpo today, AF due on Monday) so if she doesn’t show I will test again but if she does then I’ll be seeing you all over on the June bus thread! I do feel slightly over the jump now though considering the FRER couldn’t be any more negative; it’s kind of stopped me from second guessing like I was doing with the cheap strip tests with their annoying shadowy lines 😳 onto month #2 of TTC! May it bring us some BFPs we so very much deserve 🤞🏼 X

OnNaturesCourse · 16/05/2020 20:19

Hi Ladies.

Can I take a seat on your bus? I'm hopefully carrying lots of baby dust for us all!

I'm TTC DC2, first cycle with no birth control (previous it was just condoms) and I'm CD 8 so hopefully going into ovulation time soon (around CD 13)

Been getting plenty practise in so fingers crossed it takes this first month!

DKDK123 · 16/05/2020 19:28

Sorry ladies that have had negatives or AFs arrival this weekend 🙁 Anyone else get just as gutted as hearing others werent successful this month as they are when its themselves!? I was so hoping to see lots of BFPs this weekend! It's so frustrating when you see so many women trying so hard to have a desperately wanted baby and at the same time so many who dont want one accidentally fall pregnant, it's so unfair! Ok rant over, can you tell I'm a feeling a tad emotional and PMT like today, everything has annoyed me 😂 Still 11days to go till AF so god help my hubby if I'm like this the next week and a half!

SmileyT · 16/05/2020 19:27

@Mich2020 yeah I definitely wouldn't test more than once a day or even every day, give it a couple days and test again with the same test so that you can see a line progression otherwise you'll drive yourself mad. Get some rest and look after yourself x

@Noble89 I think we are actually twins... back to CD1 but just remember you waited so long to be able to have this and you can definitely wait another 28 days, it's nothing in the grand scheme of things and it will all be worth it ❤️

OP posts:
Mich2020 · 16/05/2020 19:02

@SmileyT just done another cheapie and not even a hint of a second line.. maybe it's because I haven't long peed and I'm getting myself worked up too much. Going to wait until morning now. I can order some digital if my frer line gets a bit darker tomorrow 🤞🏻🤞🏻 x

notyetamumbuttrying · 16/05/2020 19:01

@Noble89 see you on the June bus! Great attitude going into your next cycle. I'm trying to get my head right for it too.

Noble89 · 16/05/2020 18:44

@SmileyT AF has arrived. 3 days early but like you say in an odd way it's a relief. I'm gonna try and chill out a bit next month, I feel like my expectations were too high and I obsessed too much this month.

I'm genuinely feeling ok, a bit bummed but it's only cycle one.

Onto the June bus!

SmileyT · 16/05/2020 18:33

@Mich2020 have you got a digital test maybe wait until Monday then get peeing on that stick 🙌🏾 Congrats again xx

OP posts:
Mich2020 · 16/05/2020 17:45

12dpo I think. Period due somewhere between Tuesday and Friday next week. Always varies. Hoping that fmu will give me a better result. Fingers crossed. He doesn't believe it until the words 'pregnant' are read on a digital 🙈 men!!!x

SmileyT · 16/05/2020 17:39

@Mich2020 I always find pictures on MN aren't great for seeing lines that are faint irl but if you see a pink line Congratulations 🎉 how many dpo are you? Is your OH excited? 😊

OP posts:
Mich2020 · 16/05/2020 17:15

Sorry to butt in ladies. Does anyone see anything on my frer? Defo a pink line in real life. Very crampy
And achy 😖

@SmileyT ah of course, I did read that sorry. I've joined this one June Bus - who's on board? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/3899138-june-bus-who-s-on-board. See you there!

SmileyT · 16/05/2020 13:46

@notyetamumbuttrying I was expecting AF tonight/ tomorrow but it started this morning so I'm definitely out. What June bus did you join? I was going to start a new one but I'll just follow you 😂

I've been checking back on this thread cause I knew it was testing weekend for a lot of u. So sorry for everyone that's got that dreaded BFN, still keeping my fingers crossed for those waiting on AF though, as the saying goes 'you're not out until AF appears' 💜

@Kodasmom I feel so sorry for u with your tests giving u mixed results, that's the problem of testing early I think. I still dont think theres any denying your first CB so I'm holding out all hope for u on Monday/Tuesday for AF not to appear 💜
