TTC after MC - May 2020 Part 2

Interesting what people say about the NC app ! I've never used It only used femometer which deffo uses the OPKs as part of its algorithm as it does the intelligent recognition for you and I have the BBT for it via bluetooth so it's all like automatically done and reads it all for you together. Not that i done BBT this month but last month theh deffo synced together xx @Hayleylou89 maybe use another app alongside NC xxx but you got your peak and you DTD so that's the main thing you're covered 😘🌈

@SmileyT hah that's a good point with the larger cup 😂 ugh I'm so torn whether I want to try one next month if I have no luck this cycle. Part of me is like nah I dont need it and it may stress me out if I dont get hang of it .. but other part of me is like if I'm not lucky this cycle I'm gonna start getting to the point I just wanna try everything that might help. Probs best I wait and see how I feel IF after AF shows , be nice to just not have to make that decision 🤞 😌🙏🌈
Is it possible to practice with it before hand ? Maybe with a bit of lube to help me ... ? Haah
Aw you're so good with the mediation ..! Do you manage it every day ? I need to do it more I've been slacking , I WFH but do flexi time so I have no schedule really ... so end up just getting up and starting work when I should sort a schedule for myself and include meditation in it !
I had such a restless night last night though got barely any sleep and was broken sleep and woke up in the middle of the night literally sweating! So weird xx

@Hayleylou89 ah, your explanation makes perfect sense. I had never actually looked properly at how you use them. 🤦‍♀️ I started using NC, then switched to fertility friend because of exactly this stuff - NC's algorithm is really weird and changes after the fact. It was predicting my ovulation all over the place whereas fertility friend shows that it's fairly consistent. Makes me really worried for the people using NC as contraception. Renna's suggesting of putting your info into another app is good I reckon.

@Hayleylou89 it did the same for me this month - said I ovulated on Friday the day before I started my LH surge/got my peak - which is impossible. I read that nc doesn’t actually take the lh into account for the algorithm! You can’t ovulate before an lh surge though - as you need the lh to rise to get the brain to send the message, so if you got your peak yesterday, your ovulating around today-ish :) xx

@Doughnut100 Small size is arriving today and DP has pointed out that I can keep the large for after I have a baby and need the bigger size so all good 😂 I actually had a similar thought but @Hayleylou89 explanation makes sense. But as @Renna said I do think the good sperm are good at getting where they need to be and most will probs hit the cervix and try swimming up anyway 👌🏾

@Hayleylou89 that is so confusing with NC moving ovulation date especially with a positive lh test surely that is right - think it's because when NC is looking for a cover line it's coming later but that may just been because of a couple odd temps 🤔

That's so strange hun @Hayleylou89 I dont use that app I use femometer . Could you maybe download another app to put all the info in and see what I says if you're worried about it. I think I've read that you can ovulate up to 36 hours after you first see your peak isnt it ? So I'd think that would be the max it would be ... which wouldnt be Friday...would be like Thursday the latest but your temps looks like the dip is when you ovulated to me ... unless it thinks that dip is an odd temperature and its using one of the other lower temps... ? I wouldnt worry though babe . It seems wrong and you DTD around your peak xxxxx

@Doughnut100 yeah that's a point about semen being all in the vagina and stopping some ... ultimately I think either way the main sperm that are gonna make it to the egg is the ones that head straight on up there after DH ejaculates because of the force it's gone up there and its unlikely to be the sperm that's still hanging round your cervix any way whether you use the cup or not. But people have had success with it so it may work or may just be coincidence like all the other TTC tricks and tips 😂🤷‍♀️
Might not be for me then if I'm gonna struggle 😂 guess we got pg without it before and like you say who knows if itll help or not .. and dont wanna stress about trying to get it in when I'm struggling 😂🙄 but I may get it if I practice some more before ... I'll see how I feel about giving it a try next cycle if I have no luck with AF turning up 😓 xxx
Also I didnt realise menstrual cups are different to the conception ones .. 👌 xx

Iv got the ferti lily cup and read all the instructions and watched the video and you turn it inside out and push the sperm towards ur cervix and then pull it into the cup shape once its by ur cervix and nothing falls out and it keeps the sperm really close xx ☺️

Is it because of that temp reading thats on the cover line looks like the start of a temp rise? Surly natural cycles should use the fact that iv confirmed positive ovulation test on the Monday more substantial than a temp ? 😏

@SmileyT @Renna I have a question about using cups after sex actually. So after sex there is semen all over the inside of your vagina, not just at the cervix. If you put a soft cup in that goes around your cervix, surely you are keeping the rest of the semen AWAY from your cervix? Maybe a menstrual cup is better because it sits lower and just makes sure the semen doesn't fall out? Just a thought. I don't have any soft cups but in the past I've used my menstrual cup after morning sex when I have to get up.

@Renna I would say yes you might have trouble with a cup if you have trouble with tampons. But if you practice you could get it.

@SmileyT that's a drag if it won't open up properly inside you. You should get a small or it'll leak on your sheets. Shame it's not exactly the kind of thing you can try out and then return 😂

Girls iv put my temp in this morning and its moved my ovulation day to friday 😂 obv iv put that i got my postive ovualtion test last monday ... nc is starting to confuse me.. my temp went up quite a bit today from 36.67 yest to 36.82 today but no way i ovulated friday as i got my peak on monday and logged it...why has it changed it? 😏

@VP91x nah i can't be bothered to return it now, I'll just keep it... DP said he'll buy the Bluetooth one next month if we don't catch. Always good to get some treats around AF to focus on 😂 and yeah even if the cup just stops the mess on my sheets I'll be happy 🙈

Bodoes are soooo confusing!! Am 7dpo and 5days away from potential AF. My boobs are definitely getting more achey/tender by the day, and I’ve been a bit light headed today - BUT - my normally boobs hurt a day or 2 before af, and I have spent all day painting in my new house (fumes and going up/down stepstools etc!) My forst week on the tww went ok - I feel this next one isn’t lol! Especially as I started spotting 4days before af last cycle (never had that before mc) so boobs could be hurting because I’m about to start spotting. I may have to learn a new skill this week just to make it pass quickly lol!

@VP91x not sure of the sensitivity, it is the fermometer ones that come in the pack of 50 LH strips and 20 hcg? Is that the ones ur talking off?

I also have to early response clear blue but trying to keep them x

Yeah different sizes and I don't mind tampons at all but was thinking about the environment and thought I could use it after sex aswell to keep the swimmers in (it's not as efficient as a conception cup as think it sits lower) but thought I'd kill two birds with one stone. I also ordered what I thought was the Bluetooth femometer thermometer but ordered a normal one so now I just have two normal ones - note to self don't put an order in when you've had a bottle of wine (and no it wasn't a mini one 😂)

Feeling super motivated this month again and really hoping we get some BFPs over the next few weeks feel like we deserve some in this group... maybe you'll kick us off next week @2020wish 🤞
