@Hopingtobelucky all good! My temp shot up today, was worrying that it wasn't rising but I think this confirms it 😁 my nipples are absolutely killing me so burny, sensitive and itchy I've never had that before.. my dog accidentally scratched my boob last night and it was so painful I was almost in tears 😂😂 how are you doing??

How's everyone getting on? Still nothing to report from my end x

Suki2020 · 16/05/2020 16:20

@lilypad88 I use Femometer and fertility friend too.

lilypad88 · 16/05/2020 14:50

@Newbie9 I've just started to use it, it's good to see the pattern simultaneously of bbt and LH levels, I'll have to use it more to make up my mind about it, I use the One Step sticks from Amazon and it works but I bought the easy-at-home as these are the one recommended to use with it, they are also cheap on amazon, you can get a pack of 50 tests for lh and 20 tests for hcg for £15 so not bad. I'll see if that makes a difference.

I've never used Kindara, there is so many out there xD

Newbie9 · 16/05/2020 14:29

@lydia771 that is long isn't it, I've just found out I've got endometriotic cysts on my ovaries which might also affect things & makes ov painful!

Newbie9 · 16/05/2020 14:11

Sorry for all the messages I'm just catching up with the thread!

@lilypad88 is premom a good app? I've been using 3 apps to 🤣 which I've now cut down to 2! I like kindara. It does predict ovulation but as my cycles are all over I'm taking the predictions off at the moment
Do you use premom to scan your ovulation tests? Does it read them
Sorry millions of questions! X

lydia771 · 16/05/2020 14:07

@Newbie9 normally 37-40 days. This cycle is crazy, AF will be due on cd 57! 😩

Newbie9 · 16/05/2020 14:06

I haven't used bbt much before, I did have the highest temp after ovulation but my temps are all over, they are certainly higher than earlier in the cycle. I guess waking in the night & still breastfeeding affect them too. I try to do it the same time every day but not always accurate.
I've not really used opk's much either. Are they good? And accurate?

I think I'm 2dpo, it feels like forever to wait! I'm going to try to hold out to test though til my period is due & pray it doesn't come ! Xx

Newbie9 · 16/05/2020 14:02

@lydia771 do you usually get long cycles? Today Is cd33 for me! So also pretty long! X

Newbie9 · 16/05/2020 14:01

@spinksy9 fingers crossed this month xx

lydia771 · 16/05/2020 13:02

My nipples have been sore/burning/itchy since ovulation day. Anyone else experience this? Thinking it's linked to rise in progesterone

lilypad88 · 16/05/2020 12:53

@imhereforthecake the test line should be as dark or darker than the control line if you are peaking, this is a high level of level, so you might have ovulated already, depends on your bbt

imhereforthecake · 16/05/2020 12:49

I had my static smiley on Thursday.
I've been having cramps so done a cheapie from boots. Is it still positive? Does it mean I haven't ovulated yet? I'm so confused and bloody stressed.

lilypad88 · 16/05/2020 12:44

@Gemster19 oh I see... yea it's a vicious circle really, you stress about dtd when taking tracking opk but you also stress of missing your ovulation window if you are not checking.... 🤪

Yea, I have most of PCOS symptoms but my ovaries looks normal so doc don't want to look into it until the 12 months mark too... so frustrating, I feel like wasting my time in the meantime 😫 so I started to look at natural ways to help my body with it, if you are interested to look into it I've reading this book "8 steps to reverse your pcos" by Fiona McCulloch and after following advices from this book I had my first normal ovulation (CD 14) since coming off the pill and manage to extend my luteal phase to 11 days since, so it is defo helping for me.. I haven't been good with my diet this month though so had a delayed ovulation again :/

Gemster19 · 16/05/2020 12:29

@lilypad88 thank you.

I'd had a couple of cycles where I just couldn't get past a flashing smiley and the dr reckons they cause too much anxiety about when to dtd...which was true for me but I'm no less anxious not knowing!

My post MC scan showed my right ovary is polycystic (although I don't have any symptoms of PCOS) and my periods still haven't gone back to normal, but I thought I'd just do as I was told until I got to the 12 month mark and now they can stop looking at me like I've just lost the plot with ttc and perhaps try and help!

lilypad88 · 16/05/2020 12:17

@Suki2020 compared to last month not a lot but I take my bbt slighlty earlier, that could explain why... I have a clear biphasic pattern though so I defo ovulated just normally I go up to 36.6-36.7 and I still haven't reach 36.4 on dpo 5 so.... don't know, lets see what happens in the next couple of days.
I uses 3 apps 🤣😂 I got my thermometer from Femometer so I take bbt with that and chart it on fertility friendly I find the app better than Femometer. I also use Premom to track ovulation and bbt pattern together. I need an app that combine the 3 of them really 😂

@lydia771 yea, there a dip and rise again after your peak so could be it! Everyone is different after all... it might slowly rise in the next few days, I have slow rise bbt too

imhereforthecake · 16/05/2020 11:54

@Suki2020 no I don't - I work night shifts so it's not reliable as I don't often get to go to bed like normal people Grin

MoscowMuse · 16/05/2020 11:24

@SolemnlySwear Joining you in the PCOS club 👋

This is cycle 6 of TTC #1 for us (I'm 33). I've been on metformin for a year now, but only had ovulation confirmed by blood test in Jan. All the other months, ovulation either didnt happen or the blood test missed it.

We were due to start Clomid in April but all on hold until hospital services reopen due to Covid. So we are continuing to try naturally but obviously have no way of knowing if i did actually ovulate this month.

Got the static smiley earlier this week. We are doing SMEP and today is rest day (thank God! 🤣🤣) Trying to stay stress free, and positive thinking, but its difficult, especially at the moment.

lydia771 · 16/05/2020 11:11

@lilypad88 yeah defo I agree. it has risen but a few days ago I had a temp spike then went down again and last 2 days up to around the same as the spike. I've attached my chart screenshot if you can see it here. I would expect BBT to go up a bit higher if I'm honest but I've never done it before so not sure how it works for me! X

Suki2020 · 16/05/2020 11:11

@lilypad88 has your temp risen much? I track temp and OPK’s. Which app do you use?

@imhereforthecake fingers crossed we all get our BFP this cycle. Do you temp?

lilypad88 · 16/05/2020 11:00

@lydia771 heya! Tbh you need to trust more yout bbt than opk, cause a peak doesn't mean you've ovulated, bbt rise is the only way to know if you've actually ovulated, that's why it's so important to take every morning same time before getting up. Keep tracking your bbt see if it rises

imhereforthecake · 16/05/2020 10:58

@Suki2020 there's definitely some very dark lines on there. If I have no luck this month I'll definitely use OPK strips as well as clear blue digital. Hopefully this is our month though

lilypad88 · 16/05/2020 10:56

Oups don't know why my text turned into bold suddenly 😅

lilypad88 · 16/05/2020 10:54

@AnxiousAnnie86 ah!! Same here... it's like every month my body is creating some new bull** symptoms to drive me nuts 🤪 5 dpo, I had really weird stomach cramping at 2-3 dpo but wondering if it's not me just stressing about and sensitive nipples at 3 dpo as well, could just be hormonal changes after ovulation though... would be way too early to be anything else. My temp is rising slowly though, hope it's not a bad sign 😫

@Gemster19 sorry for you mmc 💐 hope you're okay.. why did your doc told you to stay away from opk though??

Suki2020 · 16/05/2020 10:40

@imhereforthecake oh no me neither. Confused I only use one step OPK’s and it was darker than the right side so I went with that on mine. Also my Femometer app tracked it. I’ve added my opk for you to see. This was my first month using OPK’s so I wasn’t too sure what was what.
