Hi Ladies,

So we seem to be absolutely hammering through our May Bus 2 thread. My gosh we can chat! But you have been vital to my sanity this cycle ❤️❤️❤️ I've tagged as many as i can think of at the end of a working week 🤯 please tag the others as I absolutely haven't the brain power!

Hey ladies, feels like ages since I last checked in, and the third May bus is nearly half full! I think this is going to be a new record for the number of buses in one month!

Need some advice. Had thick creamy discharge for five days now since ovulating. Is this a sign? I don’t normally get this post ovulation? Wishing I could do a test, but my Amazon order for the super early tests isn’t due for a few more days!

Pixielou16 · 11/05/2020 16:32

@ApplePie86

Fingers crossed! It all seems to be a guessing game really, doesn't it? What works for one person won't work for another and some will get pregnant by just looking at each other whilst the rest of us arse about with our legs in the air for hours, popping pills and wearing 17 pairs of socks just for a sniff of a line!

ApplePie86 · 11/05/2020 16:26

@Pixielou16 that's great.

I wouldn't worry about the LP - mine was 10 days then 11 days. Hopefully it won't be a problem for you.

Pixielou16 · 11/05/2020 16:23

@ApplePie86 I started Myo-inositol about a month ago (I think, who knows at this point) and it does seem to have made a difference! Had one cycle of 63 days - longest 63 days of my life! Then 31,28,32. So things are getting more regularly thankfully. Have had a pretty steady LP of 11/12 days for the last three cycles, which I suppose is Ok but could be better x

RobinRose · 11/05/2020 16:19

@Fluffkins14 That’s good to hear! 🤞 you get something soon, the cm sounds like a good sign! Maybe I should invest in some cheap strips 🤔

Thank you, I hope I do too! I’m so over this month already! x

Sausage1990 · 11/05/2020 16:17

@Skyla01 so flo is predicting af us due on Friday as intend to have shorter luteal phase of about 12 days ish so ay 7dpo and have about 4 days before I'll test... I am going to try my best to wait until af is late.

Which my chemical I had a BFN at 9dpo and then faint BFP at 13dpo so I'm going to try to hold off until af is actually late so Friday or Saturday 🤞🏻

@Juno231 you're definitely not alone in those thoughts. At all.

@newbie0818 the older generation just don't seem to get it... Actually so many people don't. My father in law keeps saying how nice it would be for our niece to have a cousin and even our friends husband (the only ones who know we're trying) say things like you definitely need to have a baby so they can grow up together! And I just feel like shouting - we're trying!!! Its not always that easy!

But we know they it comes from a good place, just not always welcome lol

ApplePie86 · 11/05/2020 16:16

Thanks @Pixielou16 and @Franklydear

@Pixielou16 if your cycles are really long and things are on hold with doctors etc definitely consider Myo-inositol. It's basically an alternative to Clomid I believe.

ApplePie86 · 11/05/2020 16:14

Thanks @SmileyT I must have. I really really want to tell him but I'm being fairly negative and think something will go wrong so not jumping for joy at the moment. But not in a bad way. Of course I'm really happy but I wouldn't want to start jumping for joy and making plans then it went wrong. Just being a bit reserved.

Franklydear · 11/05/2020 16:13

Fingers crossed @ApplePie86, remind me never to play poker with you...

Pixielou16 · 11/05/2020 16:12

@ApplePie86 amazing! Fingers crossed for you and for a sticky bean! I have (half- long story) been diagnosed with PCOS but then lockdown happened. You're right to be seen just in case it is ectopic.

Franklydear · 11/05/2020 16:05

@Newbie0818, the worst part we weren’t even trying! Needless to say I haven’t told her...

SmileyT · 11/05/2020 16:05

Ahh @Newbie0818 I really feel for you after everything that you are going through with cycle at the moment aswell. My mum is a proper psycho about it, she has a 6ft family picture of my whole family (like 23 of us) from a cruise in her living room which has my ex bf in it and she has said on several occasions including at Xmas dinner that she will only get him photoshopped out if I get pregnant as she needs a granddaughter - my brother has 3 boys already. She always says how she basically looked at my dad and got pg and it's just so insensitive does my head in 😤

Congrats @ApplePie86 I know everyone deserves this but after 3 years you especially deserve this, I know it's hard to get excited but do try and enjoy every moment. Can't believe you are sitting in the same room as OH and not telling him, you must have a good game face 😂

@GingerBaby89 hope you get a nice strong line in a couple days 🤞

@ZRS86 if you can wait to Saturday should give you a clear answer and sounds like very positive symptoms xx

Skyla01 · 11/05/2020 16:04

@ApplePie86 really nice to see a BFP but can understand why you are still a bit anxious. Hope it all goes well from here.

@Newbie0818 oh no what a comment from your nan!

ApplePie86 · 11/05/2020 16:02

Thanks @MrsEmilyB. Really hope it stays but will be laid back about it for the next week or so. I haven't told OH yet and he's sitting in the same room working. Will wait a few days I think and until pain subsides and line gets stronger then plan a really nice evening. Although not sure how to make it really special as I'd probably rather go out somewhere but limited in options!

ApplePie86 · 11/05/2020 15:58

@Newbie0818 I'm feeling normal apartment from the side pain I've had for 2 weeks on/off. Not extremely painful or unbearable so fine just now.

Do you have any other symptoms other than long cycles that could suggest PCOS? I don't know if it works for non PCOS but I will now swear by Myo-inositol. That's what brought by cycles down and I was able to track ovulation etc. I was also taking "Cassava root" pills which are meant to promote hyperovulation. Think it's a marketing gimmick as it says its to make people have twins but that may have helped ovulation as it's the first time I really felt I was ovulating. I've stopped taking that in the last week because I thought that's what was causing the pain.

I think you should definitely start using OPKs so at least if you do need to see the GP you can tell her/him that you aren't ovulating or you are but just not conceiving. Might help diagnose something.

MrsEmilyB · 11/05/2020 15:58

@Pixielou16 - firstly, you can only do what you can do! Hate it when people get on their high horses because we can't all source or afford organic fruit and veg in non-plastic packaging and triple distilled water from glass bottles.

I'm at work right now but will do a little post about how I manage later 😊

@juno231 - that's really interesting. And strangely comforting about the implantation failures.

@Hopefulmummie - so from all the reading I've been doing, here is my implantation assist list! De-stress/relax as much as possible. Stress is not conducive to implantation! Consume as little caffeine as possible. Take Calc fluor. Avoid cold/raw foods. Laugh a lot. Meditate/visualise success. Spend a couple of minutes each day doing legs up the wall yoga. Exercise gently. Keep your feet warm.

@ApplePie86 oh I so hope it's a sticky bean that sticks in the right place!! Like you said though, good to know it's working at the very least!

@Newbie0818 ffs that sounds like something my nan would say. Although I couldn't stand her whereas at least you seem to like yours lol!

On a similar note - I was skyping my parents on Sunday and first thing dad said was "are you getting fat?" (I've lost nearly 6lbs since we last skyped) and second thing was to say he hopes that with nothing better to do during 8 weeks of lockdown there will be a baby by the end of the year. Mind you they don't even know we're trying so, just chucking very helpful comments like that around when for all they know we've been trying for years unsuccessfully...

Apologies if I already ranted about this on Sunday, I can't even remember what I write about anymore!

Fluffkins14 · 11/05/2020 15:50

@RobinRose being so down I went browsing at ovulation calculators based on my last 2cycle lengths and I'm still in the ovulation window so I'm feeling more positive that it could actually happen!! My femometer strips have turned up so using them along side clearblue digital.
Tmi my cm is starting to increase slightly and one bit really stretchy (sorry 🤣)

I have my fingers tightly crossed for you to get you static tomorrow 🤞🏻 xx

Newbie0818 · 11/05/2020 15:45

@OrangeJ your poor mum! That must have been heartbreaking for her. It’s nice she’s so supportive. Nan’s just don’t get it haha. My Nan got pregnant by accident both times and struggles to understand things that she hasn’t experienced. I just laugh it off but one day I’ll explain it all to her. As soon as I get my bfp though and tell her she’ll be all “I knew it!” 😂

Hoping1 · 11/05/2020 15:41

@ApplePie86 fingers crossed for you so hope it is 3 years is heartbreaking time to want this I know because we been trying also for 3 years so long a time xxxx

Newbie0818 · 11/05/2020 15:41

@Franklydear I don’t blame you for snapping! It’s really so intrusive and just presumptuous. But like you said they do mean well.

@ApplePie86 we haven’t even told anyone we’re ttc and haven’t dropped any hints or anything, they just expect it since we got married. We want it to be a nice surprise for everyone but my god do they make it hard!
With my cycles, I have no clue. Getting longer each month, this month was 52 if what I’ve had was actually a period. Came off the pill 8 months ago so I would’ve thought it would be sorted by now.
How are you feeling? Do you have any symptoms apart from the spotting?

OrangeJ · 11/05/2020 15:37

Oh no @Newbie0818 this is something my Nan would totally do too. (Btw how cute are you sending your nan a drawing ❤️). My Nan has NO tact. She always tells me she doesn’t know if she should be knitting anything or not...and she only ever knits baby things. I started telling her to knit if she wants but might have to put it away for a few years. Bless them.

My mum on the other hand is an angel. I told her in Dec that we were going to stop not trying and she’s never asked me about it. I know she struggled and even went through what she calls a ‘phantom’ pregnancy. Went to her scan (might have only been the 20 week one back then?) and there was nothing there 😢. I don’t know how that happens 💔

ApplePie86 · 11/05/2020 15:23

Thanks @Newbie0818

Sorry to hear about your Nan. It's so frustrating when people think when you decide to get pregnant it should just happen straight away.

Would be amazing if you got your BFP and everything went smoothly. What's the situation with your cycles again? This thread goes so quickly it's difficult to keep up!
