Hi Ladies,

So we seem to be absolutely hammering through our May Bus 2 thread. My gosh we can chat! But you have been vital to my sanity this cycle ❤️❤️❤️ I've tagged as many as i can think of at the end of a working week 🤯 please tag the others as I absolutely haven't the brain power!

Congrats to the BFP today xxx

MrsEmilyB · 12/05/2020 11:05

@Ltay2 - ahh boo. I don't know what their default setting is at! It's a loose guide anyway 😊 most days I'm slightly under on my protein and slightly over on my carbs!

Argh water is such a downfall for me too. 8 weeks ago literally all we drunk was coffee and fizz 😂 I've migrated to squash and less coffee, but I really struggle to drink enough plain water haha

Ladies, I’m incredibly excited. My femometer just arrived, so I’m going to start temping from tomorrow.

How do you do girls do it? Do you set an alarm or just trust that you’ll wake up the same time each morning...?

Littlepeas2 · 12/05/2020 11:03

Morning ladies. Just catching up on the chat! A huge congratulations to everyone who has received the BFP, so exciting!!

I’m a teacher so have been in and out of work which has been good as my mind has been busy. But I haven’t got any symptoms what so ever. Literally nothing!!

Still 4 days to go 😩

Ltay2 · 12/05/2020 10:54

@MrsEmilyB I am doing well so far with the water, that's my biggest downfall. I have noticed increased CM from not being so dehydrated too which is good. Just downloaded Lifesum it's so much nicer looking than My Fitness Pal but I can't edit macro goals without subscribing 😞

MrsEmilyB · 12/05/2020 10:49

@Ltay2 - and that goal is plenty ❤️❤️❤️

Ltay2 · 12/05/2020 10:46

@MrsEmilyB I've never heard of Lifesum but will have a look. I am just going to try my best and make a conscious effort to eat more healthily and drink lots of water I think that's my most realistic goal!

Positivetime · 12/05/2020 10:42

@MrsEmilyB ahh I hope the plan has worked for you too! 🤞

RobinRose · 12/05/2020 10:41

@GingerBaby89 & @Positivetime congratulations ladies! 🥳

MrsEmilyB · 12/05/2020 10:37

@Ltay2 - lifesum has a free version and is excellent! Also, regarding food - I'm a huge believer in just doing what you can! Nourish your body with good, wholesome food and that's the best thing you can do! I've been pretty food obsessive most of my life, so rules are good for me haha.

@Minster2012 - totally agree. Being super strict, for me, works for my very perfectionist tendencies, and I'm a control freak! But I definitely don't think it's "necessary". My anxiety just works best with a strict set of rules haha.

@mrsi2020 - people who have soy as a staple all over the world get pregnant! So don't fret if it's not possible for a switcharoo. I've been drinking unsweetened almond and love it, although I've never been a fan of soya milk.

@Positivetime - ahh we've done SMEP too this month, with a few extra baby dances as I thought I was ovulating when I wasn't haha.

Mrsi2020 · 12/05/2020 10:33

@Minster2012 you’re right! I’m just scared after 2 mc’s this year, think I’d try anything to get preg quick and have a sticky 🤣🤣🤣 xxx

Mrsi2020 · 12/05/2020 10:31

@MrsEmilyB thanks ! It’s been over a long period so doesn’t feel like the big achievement it actually is,lol but thanks xx

Mrsi2020 · 12/05/2020 10:30

@MrsEmilyB thanks - I hope not, I’m only drinking about 200mls a day atm of soya unsweetened, hopf it’s not doing any harm :( xx

@SmileyT 7up free was my fave, I’m now addicted to lime cordial (Tesco’s own is my fave) in plain water. Asda do a lemon and lime no added sugar squash you could add into soda water? Stevia is meant to be the healthiest as it’s natural, the rest are man made xx

Positivetime · 12/05/2020 10:27

@MrsEmilyB
The only thing I did different was following the SMEP plan! It was so hard doing it three days in a row and very nearly gave up! I also think it may have had something to do with my husband not commuting into London for work during this time because that just tires him out!
Thank you all for your good wishes. I love how us Women are so kind to one another it’s really nice!

I really do wish you all the best and hope these coming weeks bring you all good luck cos everyone deserves good news.

Mrsi2020 · 12/05/2020 10:27

@GingerBaby89 - I see lines on both those! Congrats!!

@Positivetime congrats!!!

Xxx

Franklydear · 12/05/2020 10:17

@hopefulmummie I don’t think there is anything that would help me in the tww, except a time speeder perhaps, can it be the 21st already?

RobinRose · 12/05/2020 10:17

@Fluffkins14 oh no 🤦‍♀️! I’m fed up now 🤣

@MrsEmilyB I hope so! I didn’t realise you can test more with the clear blue once you have reached high so will test again later today

Hopefulmummie · 12/05/2020 10:13

Thinking it might be worth anyone that has got a bfp to list any symptoms they had lost ovulation?

Might help with all those starting the 2 week wait lol

MoonW · 12/05/2020 10:08

@Positivetime @GingerBaby89 Huge Congratulations!! 🥳💕

I got my positive OPK today so here we go again with the TWW and cue the longest 2 weeks of the month 😂

BabyG123 · 12/05/2020 10:08

The May Group Graduates. RING HOOP BULLET. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/birth_clubs/3902964-the-may-group-graduates-ring-hoop-bullet

Congratulations @Positivetime and @GingerBaby89 xx

Skyla01 · 12/05/2020 10:02

@RobinRose and @Fluffkins14 I remember how frustrating it was to wait for the static! FC it will be here soon. I think I ovulated 2 or 3 days later than normal this cycle too so I think there is something in the air!

@Positivetime that's a nice strong line you have there!

@GingerBaby89 congratulations!! Another bfp to add to the list!!

I'm still waiting to see if AF turns up in the next day or two. No sign of her yet. Really trying not to think about it too much!

Hopefulmummie · 12/05/2020 10:01

Congratulations to all the bfp

Femometer has updated my ovulation day to CD14 according to temp even though I got a peak lh test on CD15

What do you all think

Hoops, Rings and May Bus 3 Things!
Minster2012 · 12/05/2020 09:53

I have been pregnant having had lots of sweeteners & drinking alcohol in the recommended amounts & with a healthy diet just lots of veg, not a huge amount of carbs or caffeine & good exercise 🤷‍♀️

BabyDust13 · 12/05/2020 09:51

@GingerBaby89 congratulations

Minster2012 · 12/05/2020 09:50

I think there’s a lot of worry here about diet & too much analysing, I really wouldn’t worry too much about things, especially if you are early into TTC & generally eat a healthy balanced diet.

Sweeteners aren’t great no but I’ve had years of drinking black coffee with the cheap sweeter sweeteners & when there was big scares about them the other year being carcinogenic I asked my oncology teams about links & switched to stevia & they told me the validity of the research papers wasn’t great & even though i (at that point) drank around 6 cups a day it was nothing to worry about. Ones that contain aspartame are the ones to watch for.

Things like soy is in most things as a preservative so to avoid us very difficult & ppl of such varied diets get pregnant all the time I honestly wouldn’t worry. Just my opinion xxx
