Pregnancy after MMC

Hi Everyone,
Unfortunately I had a MMC on our second pregnancy last month. (I have a 1 year old)
I should of been 9 weeks at my Scan but baby was only 8 weeks 4 so it had just happened. 3 days later I had a private D&C as I didn’t want to risk the hospital/ the trauma of dealing with it at home with my little boy.
I had bleeding on and off for 2 weeks after (6th of April was the D&C) I had regular bloody tests, my last one my HCG had come down to 70 so 3 days later I got my first negative test.
I had an internal to confirm no retained pregnancy and was given the all clear to try again straight away. I’ve had cystitis this weekend to add to my problems and now I’m getting this on my tests. Had anyone experienced anything similar, what are your thoughts? Feel like my body’s just giving up on me haha! I’d love to be pregnant again but I’d just be surprised if it could all happen within such a small time scale
Thanks everyone

@msanne it's frustrating, I don't get the updates very often either. Im only really on this thread and one other or I would get completely lost. 😂
Thank you... CD 26 here aarrggghhhhhh! Definitely freaking out but trying to tell myself it's fine, there Is no rush, I have plenty of time etc etc.

Right then lady, I guess that means you need to get down to business so we will expect you to be quiet now for a few days. 😂😂
I know what you mean. It's lucky I have a week off from dtd when AF here so I'm ready for it after because by the second week im knackered. 😂😂

Good luck lovely and will keep you posted if and when AF arrives 😳😳 thinking some time between today and Friday! Xxx

msanne · 09/06/2020 08:51

Hi Ladies,

So sorry for going quiet - I don't get email updates sometimes and need to check manually.

@Frankincense88 - sorry about AF arriving. But a new cycle begins and a new start. June is going to be a GOOD month!

@MrsTtobe - oooh I am so excited for you! Fingers and toes crossed that it is a BFP.

@Leaf87 - I hear you! Patience is a life skill that I wish I had more of! Thankfully your body is doing what it needs to albeit slowly. Please keep it up and sending you lots of love xoxo

So, I am on CD 13 today and got my flashing smiley on my CB OPK kit (it's been static for the last 2 days). I caved and tested afterall @MrsTtobe. But i've been very good only using one stick a day and not thinking about it afterwards. I'm not sure when I will ovulate (static smiley), but going to dtd every night from now on until the middle of next week if poss - help!! it's a bit sad, that dtd is becoming a bit exhausting....xx

MrsTtobe · 08/06/2020 18:23

Thank you @Frankincense88 xx

Frankincense88 · 08/06/2020 18:21

@MrsTtobe got everything crossed my lovely! Xx

MrsTtobe · 08/06/2020 17:46

@leaf87 lovely to hear from you, was going to text today to see if you had heard anything yet. It's a really really shit situation but you've got to get through it and bounce back. Life is too short to dwell on the negatives. 💪
My AF due this Thurs! It's all I can think about. 😔🙏

Hope you girls all ok! @msanne @Bells993 @Frankincense88 x pray for me please x

Leaf87 · 08/06/2020 17:14

@Frankincense88 @MrsTtobe @Bells993 glad to hear things are all ok and we are all moving onwards.

Sorry I have been quite, just been getting on with work etc had my results back from Charrings cross. Still high so more bloods in two weeks. HCG had come down slightly since last test just not as quick as inwould like...... patience has never been a strong point!!
Hope you have all had a good weekend! Sending you all positive vibes

MrsTtobe · 07/06/2020 10:25

Morning! Glad your first AF done and dusted @Bells993 and you can now look forward.

My AF is due this week, Thurs ish so think im next! 😬 I'm CD 23 now and anywhere between 26-29 is normal for me.

@Frankincense88 oh no that's crap. Get it out the way and ready for a new month! 😊 x

Frankincense88 · 07/06/2020 09:16

I'm out ladies, AF arrived this morning so give me 5-6 days and I'll be trying again! Not too surprised because I was pretty sure I wasn't anyway but will keep going! Fingers crossed June is the month! Xx

Bells993 · 07/06/2020 08:08

Hey girls, pretty normal AF, finished yesterday so I’m going to give myself another 5 days before using OPK’s (I’m not going to rely on them either! Going to DTD as much as possible from day 9-22 and see what happens!

How is everyone? Who’s next to start testing? Going to be so hard to keep track on everyone’s timings now we are so different hah!
@Frankincense88 this is exciting keep us updated! Fingers crossed for you!

Did a test today and it was negative but still no sign of AF and still no symptoms of anything 😩 will see if anything happens over the weekend then test again Monday if still nothing! Xx

MrsTtobe · 06/06/2020 16:41

Hey hope you're all having a good weekend!
Im trying my very very best to relax and not symptom spot!! It's hard work! 🤣

@Frankincense88 any sign of AF yet? If not it might be time to start testing lovely! 😬 x

Frankincense88 · 05/06/2020 18:02

@MrsTtobe I've convinced myself I'm out this month so I'm VERY relaxed 😂 still no sign of AF. Going to wait until Monday I think and test if still nothing. I'm only 10DPO today so still think it's a bit soon to be obsessively testing which is what will happen if I start!

msanne · 05/06/2020 11:13

@MrsTtobe - I have bought a CB OPK but haven't opened it yet. I haven't used these kits before and am uhmming and ahhing as to whether I should as it will get me obsessive again and I am trying to be "chilled" this month. HA! I'm on CD 9 today so think I have a couple more days - although I have noticed my CM has already started to increase. I should either ovulate next week or the week after (depending on the app I follow).

I'm not quite sure when I should test this month as my two apps say that AF is due on different dates. I think going by my old cycle dates I should be due around the 23rd...but as last months cycle was so long, I might not be able to test until the 30th! It is going to be a loooong month and I am just trying to settle in!

I am also cutting out all alcohol from CD 10 and going to reduce my caffeine intake to 1 cup in the morning.

How did you track? xoxo

MrsTtobe · 05/06/2020 11:02

Thank you @msanne 😘 are you tracking ovulation this cycle?

@Frankincense88 see I've got lots of symptoms but could all be AF related. Im constipated! Ive got a strange dull ache sensation in my left ovary and ive got a lot of clear cm! Lots of it! 🙈
Trying to chill but it's not going great. X

msanne · 05/06/2020 10:44

Good luck @Frankincense88!

@MrsTtobe - not long for you to wait too!!

xoxo

Frankincense88 · 05/06/2020 07:18

@MrsTtobe yep due today going by my cycle pre MMC. No sign yet but I've got absolutely nothing symptom wise so let's see if she rears her head over the weekend! I've got a feeling I'm not but I thought that last time Xxx

MrsTtobe · 05/06/2020 06:13

Morning ladies.
How are you all doing?
CD 22 here. No symptoms as such or lots of symptoms but im just wishful thinking. 😂

@Frankincense88 is AF due today for you? Any sign yet? 🤞 AF stays away and we have a bfp on our hands 🙏 x

MrsTtobe · 03/06/2020 20:32

@msanne yes I've been feeling like that. I love my 2 babies to death but feel so guilty that I spend so much time thinking about baby number 3. I don't want to turn around and realise ive missed out on them!
I'm definitely trying to be more laid back. 😬😂 Trying!

@Bells993 that's good then. Will soon be out of the way and on to a proper cycle. ❤

Bells993 · 03/06/2020 13:37

Thanks girls! It’s not too bad actually, heavy but no pains or anything which is great! So glad it’s a proper one though, makes me feel confident about trying again.

@Leaf87 good luck at the hospital, fingers crossed for good news for you

Excited for some news from you girls! Fingers crossed for a BFP this month xxx

msanne · 03/06/2020 10:36

@Frankincense88 - I have a banging migraine - nothing to do with TTC - I suffer from them regardless and they've come on with a vengeance....I need to chill out, as mine are usually triggered by stress. We use Teams for work too - hahaha, it is testing isn't it! Good luck for AF not showing up and that BFP - holding out for some good news xx

@MrsTtobe - no haven't started the marathon yet. Going to give myself a few days as feel exhausted. I think my hormones are all over the place though as I already have lots of EWCM. My OH said to me yesterday, that I am so obsessed with having this 3rd baby, that i'm missing out on the 2 beautiful ones we already have! So, i'm doing my best to take a minute and take them in as much as I can. In between homeschooling and taking deep breathes to not shout at them! I suppose you have another 8 days or so before you can test? Exciting, really rooting for you gals xx

@Leaf87 - keep up the positive. Using this time to get into good habits and focus on you. Although I am very much ttc, I am now adopting the chilled out approach. I don't think obsessing does any good for any of us. I hope that hospital gives some clarity and confidence so that you can begin this journey again. We will be here for when you do!

Have a lovely day ladies xoxo

Frankincense88 · 03/06/2020 08:18

@MrsTtobe nope! Nothing yet! Had a banging headache all day yesterday but I think it's the heat / the stress of trying to work Microsoft Teams 😂😂 AF due Friday so will test on the weekend if no sign! I'll be 12DPO then so might still be a bit early! Xx

MrsTtobe · 03/06/2020 08:01

@msanne so true. Being so sure you're pregnant and then AF coming so unexpectedly is just horrible. I was totally convinced in January. The month before I actually conceived. I had every pregnancy symptom going! 😔 Determined not to torture myself this time around and like you said try to accept that what will be will be but life shouldn't stop. I'm determined not to wish away time and be grateful for my 2 beautiful children even if (worse case scenario) I wasnt to have anymore.
CD 20, no idea how many dpo! Just taking each day as it comes.
How are you feeling? Have you started dtd marathon? 😴 Hope you're keeping your energy up. 😂

@Frankincense88 any symptoms yet lovely? How you feeling?

@Leaf87 lovely to hear from you. Let us know how you get on with the hospital and keep us up to date. You will soon be back on this very stressful ttc journey so enjoy the not having to worry about it all while you can. ❤

@Bells993 how you getting on? Hope first AF isn't too bad. Mine was quite bad but think that's because mine are usually fairly light. You and oh all ready to start dtd soon! 😂

Leaf87 · 02/06/2020 12:05

@Bells993 so pleased Af has arrived and all its starting to return to normal!

@MrsTtobe @Frankincense88 @msanne I have everything crossed for you all!!! I am still just waiting to hear from Charring cross hospital hopefully I should have heard be Wednesday/Thursday if not I will call and chase. Juts a bit frustrated I can not join you all! It is quite nice not having go stress to much about everything tho and just riding it out (she says trying to be positive!)

msanne · 02/06/2020 10:23

@Frankincense88 - you've still got a chance! But you are doing the right thing - don't focus on it. It will happen of its own course xoxo

msanne · 02/06/2020 10:22

@MrsTtobe hahahaha - well done you for only missing 1 day or 2. I think I will need to take some energy supplements to keep going. It's not the dtd - rather having the energy to after dealing with work and 2 kids all day everyday! God give me strength - but like you say, I am happy to start afresh.

One thing I have learnt this last cycle is not to take ANY sign that AF or that BFP is on its way. Last month I was convinced I had SO many pregnancy symptoms when in fact I did not. I got my BFN for 5 days after AF was due but I still refused to believe it! We really overthink things. I know it sounds easy when in reality the wait is horrendous - but we need to just try our hardest to just let things be.

Fingers crossed for you xoxo
