Hi ladies 💕

13dpo today and af is imminent as temp dropped to cover line plus a bfn. So who's joining me?
TTC #1
This will be cycle 13 since mmc (Feb 19) but been TTC since June 2018 so a horribly momentous month for me.

Bought some vitamins recommended by it starts with the egg for this month and also male conception tablets for DH. So we shall see 🤞🏼

Lots of luck and baby dust to everyone 🍀🌈💕

Really hope this month is our month! Would be soooo nice to get that BFP in time for Father's Day 🤞🏼

Missgoldilocks · 08/05/2020 15:23

Hi girls, sorry looks like I've missed loads! Now when I'm in the run up to the fertile week I try not to think about it 😂 but once fertility is upon me I'll be chatting away haha. How are we all? Its a lovely day out there 😍😍

KateColx · 08/05/2020 14:24

@KRK05 I can't say I've noticed before but it isn't unusual for me to come on later in the day or even towards the night, so I'll just wait 😩

Could be promising though that there's no signs of AF for you yet? Have you been tested to test again? With you on the teenager AF though! I dint get anything in the lead up but the first and second day wipe me out with cramps 😭 haha so keen to get started with our new CB tests that now our bodies are making us wait 😂😩

@Minster2012 glad AF has gone and you can get back to the fun part! I need to try and think of some ways to make it not so regimented this month 😂

nizo1245 · 08/05/2020 13:39

@Minster2012 ah sorry, I thought you said 2.
Yeah I'm telling myself not to feel guilty at all. I know, it's pretty rude. I don't think she means it in a bad way but I've tried laughing, getting frustrated, getting angry, nothing makes her stop.
Some people just shouldn't be allowed to interact with others 😂

Feeling positive for the future though, even if June isn't my month I've been really focusing on getting as healthy as I can, so I'm confident it will happen again soon.

Minster2012 · 08/05/2020 13:20

@nizo1245 don’t feel guilty about being bitter or about feeling ok! I’ve had one miscarriage not more, it was just a medicated one so it’s caused extra erratic bleeding & ive felt the same “get it over with so we can move on”, ppl are bloody rude of they are saying “time is ticking on” that’s awful 🤔🤦🏼‍♀️Tell them to mind their own

nizo1245 · 08/05/2020 13:02

@Minster2012 thanks, sorry to hear about your losses. It's such a horrible thing to go through.
I've surprised myself at how ok I've been about it. I didn't even take any time off work as I'm wfh due to lockdown and really needed a distraction.

A colleague just announced she's pregnant with a similar due date though and I'm getting pretty sick of that being the main focus of every meeting and conversation.
I feel a bit guilty about feeling a bit bitter, but I have another colleague who likes to point out that my clock is ticking every time babies or pregnancy comes up.

Good luck to everyone for June! Hoping to see lots of BFPs when we get there!

Minster2012 · 08/05/2020 12:45

@nizo1245 sorry to hear about your miscarriage, I had a medicated miscarriage in mid March after a missed miscarriage & my cycle still isn’t right (I’ve had 3 periods since then) but it may be different if it was natural so be kind to yourself if it takes time ❣️Sending hugs

@LittleRa I’m using femometer & find it great to record stuff, we are also doing SMEP & started doing that on last cycle & were really enjoying it but only got to CD 12 before I had another bleed

CD5 for me here & we are having fun again now AF over, DTD last night & this morning whilst DS was chattering away in his cot in his room!! 😂 gonna need a night off tomorrow anyway!

KRK05 · 08/05/2020 11:42

@KateColx Oh that's interesting do u normally get full flow or spotting to start with? I still get AF like I'm a teenager, cramps in the lead up, hit full force in the face by it, hot water bottle in bed with my paracetamol I've never had a lucky month with AF. I had those cramps all last week was positive I was gonna wake up to AF any day so I was wearing a pad just incase 🙈 I think I'm just annoyed cause so eager to be on CD1 again I've probably stressed myself causing it to be late 😂

KRK05 · 08/05/2020 11:36

Just catching up on everything girls, hope your all doing well 🥰

@Minster2012 great u had loads fun doing it! I hope we do too. We have a 5 year old so now with lockdown everyday a weekend to him so struggling to get him to sleep at a half decent time which is making DTD that little bit harder so my OH was saying I might have to start getting up before he goes to work to try that way 😜 not DDT in the morning for a long time, beauty of having kids so thatl be fun kind of like new adventure again cause morning sex is few & far between 😂

@nizo1245 Sorry to hear about your MC 💕 This will be my first month doing OPKs too which I think will make a HUGE difference so quite excited for them.

@LittleRa I use Flo, Premom & Femometer at the moment. I'm also doing SMEP this cycle too I've read so much success stories on it I hope it's the same for us 🤞🏻 what a good note about Fathers Day I didnt even think about that, would be the best time to tell OH.

KateColx · 08/05/2020 11:34

@KRK05 thanks lovely ☺️ well I say it's arrived, there was a spot of blood this morning but nothing else since so I'm hoping it just hurries up now. How are you feeling? Do you normally get signs before AF arrives? Fingers crossed she either turns soon or doesn't turn up at all!! 🤞🏻 x

KRK05 · 08/05/2020 11:19

@KateColx I'm so sorry AF arrived this morning, go & spoil yourself for a while before that dreaded TWW comes 💜 I really wish my AF would arrive cause couldve been doing CB together, but shes just not appearing but I am technically only 1 day late so il give it a few days then il panic that now TTC my cycles are long, hope this month is a fluke 🙈

Ltay2 · 08/05/2020 10:58

@lavenderlilaclily I feel the same way, NC was great for prevention but I feel it doesn't have enough in there for TTC with it being so focused on BBT. Fermometer is so much better to track everything in one place and it's free so even better.

SaraVB · 08/05/2020 10:52

@LittleRa I've been using Period Calendar P.C. for a long time. I've only started using it for TTC so I can't say much about its accuracy for that but it's always been very good at predicting the date of my AF and it has a lot of input options to store data.

I downloaded Flo a while ago on a friend's recommendation but actually I found P.C. better.

I'm from Malta and it's mothers day on Sunday. Hoping it brings good luck as I'm expecting AF any minute...

LittleRa · 08/05/2020 10:39

Thanks ladies for the apps. I’ve got one that I think is just called Period Calendar P.C. No idea what it’s like yet. I haven’t done any temperature or OPK stuff yet.

Is anyone doing Sperm Meets Egg Plan SMEP?

Looking forwards- Father’s Day is 21st June, if anyone is planning to test around then that would be lovely wouldn’t it!

lavenderlilaclily · 08/05/2020 10:33

@LittleRa @Ltay2 I've also used Natural Cycles for years - I found it good when preventing pregnancy, but now when ttc I'm not sure if it's the best one because it depends completely on accurate BBT tracking and doesn't take much else into account. I second Femometer for its ability to read cheapie OPKs - have found that super helpful! Ovia is also pretty good, lets you track lots of stuff and I like the layout.

Ltay2 · 08/05/2020 09:13

@LittleRa I have used Natural Cycles for years but you do have to pay for it and it relies heavily on taking BBT every morning so if you don't temp then it's not worth it. I've also been using Fermometer which is free and really good to monitor everything! It can help you make sense of cheapie OPKs too as you can take a photo of them and it tells you if it's negative or peak/high/low positive which is useful if you are struggling.

nizo1245 · 08/05/2020 09:00

Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining. Had a MMC on 13th April.
Expecting AF to return at some point over the next couple of weeks (hopefully...)
We have been ttc since I stopped bleeding but I'm not too hopeful as I have no idea when I ovulated or even if I have at all.

I've never used opks before but ordered a batch yesterday to try and track my cycles.
We had been ttc for 8 months before I fell pregnant last time.

@LittleRa I used to use clue to track my periods before my mmc. It's only a rough estimation of when you should ovulate based on your period dates though so I'll definitely be using opks this time to learn when I ovulate. We dtd on the fertile days every month according to clue, and the one month we stopped using it I fell pregnant. I know we dtd outside of the dates it usually recommended so my ovulation dates must not be 'standard'.

LittleRa · 08/05/2020 08:49

Morning all,

Which period tracking app do people recommend?

What length of cycle do people have? I have only just come off the pill at end of April so waiting to see really, but I did used to get a bleed on the pill (cerelle), I know it’s not a proper period though but my cycle was long- 36 days. Don’t know if that’s representative of what it will be now I’m off the pill.

Happy bank holiday everyone x

Ltay2 · 08/05/2020 07:49

@KateColx Morning 👋🏼 sorry AF arrived but we can now prepare for a new cycle! 💕

KateColx · 08/05/2020 07:29

Morning ladies,

Hope it's okay for me to jump on the June bus 🌸

Hi @KRK05 @Ltay2 👋🏻

AF arrived as predicted this morning, so on to the next one. This will be my third cycle TTC baby no.1. This will also be my first month tracking ovulation with CB tests, they're arriving today so I'm going to spend today learning alll about that rather than feeling sorry for myself ☺️

Happy Bank Holiday! X

Minster2012 · 07/05/2020 23:08

Hello newbies! Welcome aboard!! @Littlera, @rathernotshare I think I remember you from may, @gjgjini try to stay away from google for maybe a week!! (Who am I kidding 😂) & @Marshmallow123! Hello!

Let’s hope June is our lucky month!

Oh and in an hour happy bank holiday!

I’m now in a positive frame of mind...AF is over & im off to DTD!! 😂

Marshmallow123 · 07/05/2020 22:10

Hello. Hoping I can hop on here. AF appeared on Monday so I'm crossing my fingers that there's no reappearance in early June! TTC baby #1 cycle 2, CD4.

gjgjini · 07/05/2020 15:21

Hi all, new to this but not new to TTC, having been trying since January.

I like many of you have googled everything under the sun TTC related, taking vitamins for months prior to TTC etc and driving myself crazy most months.

I cam across this article yesterday (after watching a bloggers live video on instagram - please don't judge)

www.paleo-mama.com/fertility-treatments-in-turkey-and-why-turkish-women-believe-that-onions-help-while-trying-to-conceive/

Basically they suggest onion soup/broth to help with getting pregnant...has anyone ever tried this or even heard of this?

rathernotshare · 07/05/2020 14:46

Joining the June bus! AF arrived today, 13DPO and 3 days late. Second AF since stopping the pill (4 months ago) and holy hell this hurts! Is this period pain?! I haven't felt this since the early 2000s and I am shocked!

LittleRa · 07/05/2020 14:28

Hi, I think the June bus is the one for me to hop on. I’ve been lurking on the May bus threads so recognise a few names of ladies who’ve popped over to this bus.
I’m 34 and have a 6yo DD from a previous relationship, my current DP has no DC. So I’d love one more to be a sibling to my DD (albeit with a big age gap) and for him to have a DC, he’s amazing with my DD.
I came off the pill (cerelle) at the end of April- finished packet on Sunday 26th April so Monday 27th was last day pill free. I then had a bleed (withdrawal bleed?) April 30th to May 4th. If I count that as a period, I am CD 8 today, hence why I was lurking around the May bus, but with only just coming off the pill and having a withdrawal bleed rather than a period I don’t think May will be on the cards? Won’t stop me trying though Grin
Looking forward to following along and keeping up with peoples’ stories seeing lots of BFPs!!
