Hi ladies 💕

13dpo today and af is imminent as temp dropped to cover line plus a bfn. So who's joining me?
TTC #1
This will be cycle 13 since mmc (Feb 19) but been TTC since June 2018 so a horribly momentous month for me.

Bought some vitamins recommended by it starts with the egg for this month and also male conception tablets for DH. So we shall see 🤞🏼

Lots of luck and baby dust to everyone 🍀🌈💕

Ltay - I use "my calendar" it's more of a period and symptom tracker but I swear it's the most spot on for ovulation. I've used it for 3+ years and I think it's been wrong 3 times and that's including after birth.

Juno231 · 18/05/2020 09:35

@BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum oh I miss having the bed to myself! My OH was in the army for 6 years and that is the one thing I miss about it lol.

As for lockdown - we're both in financial services so can wfh which we've been doing this whole time. I can't stand it though - our flat is too small for it and the lack of proper set up makes my whole body ache. Not to mention it's sooo hard to keep motivated when wfh. I know we're lucky though so I shouldn't complain too much. We're in the process of buying a house and I can't wait for it to have an office 🙊

Franklydear · 18/05/2020 09:22

Hello, ladies
Cd3 and ready to get back on the horse, I haven't read in the last couple of days, I'll catch up

Ltay2 · 18/05/2020 09:07

We have decided to try DTD every day from tomorrow until Sunday to make up for lost opportunities in the last couple of days. Even if we skip a day it shouldn't be too bad. Not had any EWCM yet and going to OPK test twice today so hoping for at least Friday ovulation if not Saturday 🤞🏼

BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum · 18/05/2020 09:04

@lucyrp it’s fab isn’t it I look forward to Friday nights all week 😂

I bought the wee cheapo amazon ov sticks are they any good?

BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum · 18/05/2020 09:03

@Minster2012 yes! We’re getting married next year and I might cancel if he doesn’t stop being so stinking and annoying. I obviously don’t fart and DD is only 5 so hers aren’t bad, his are absolutely vomit inducing. DD game downstairs last night and told him to go for a shower cos he smells like shit 😂

I just did my daily exercise so feeling buzzing now, although that might be the pre workout 😂 suppose I should knock that on the head really. Although I was in tramadol and 5 or 6 cans of red bull a day when we conceived DD. That explains her personality actually 😂

lucyrp · 18/05/2020 09:02

@Cocoblue22 I am using the CB digital ones also the purple sticks

lucyrp · 18/05/2020 09:00

Sorry I meant to @BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum 😂 it was clearly so funny I @ the wrong person

lucyrp · 18/05/2020 09:00

@Minster2012 i read that as your potty training DH for a minute 😂😂has to take a second look😂

lucyrp · 18/05/2020 08:59

@BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum omg since lockdown my OH has done the same he stays up late on the Xbox with his mates so once 10pm comes I'm off to bed and leave him downstairs and he doesn't come up until like maybe 2am sometimes so is nice to have the bed to myself for a bit 😂

Minster2012 · 18/05/2020 08:50

@Cocoblue22 I’m using the CB advanced digital not the ones with the computer, on my last month I used the non digital ones & the sticks were out of date (Sep 19) & they worked ok so I tend to agree with your DH

33Carr · 18/05/2020 08:48

@BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum 😂😂😂😂 I feel for you regarding smelly nights after garlic! My DP is the exact same and bloody loves the stuff! He does most of the cooking and I've asked more than once if we are having anything with our garlic for a change!

I have to say we have been very fortunate so far. DP is able to work from home full time (although he hates it) and I work in Cardiology so it had been a bit quieter but it's very much business as always. My family live quite far from us though and not being able to spend time with and my brothers is horrible; especially after a loss.

What's everyone day looking like so far? My AF is drying up already so into phase 2 I guess!!

Cocoblue22 · 18/05/2020 08:43

Are you all using the CB ones that link to your phone (I believe)? I’m using the CB little computer one where you buy the sticks separate and put them into it. I used it last time but maybe it’s a bit outdated now? Still works so I’m using it. Still using an old box of sticks too which have passed expiry but still seem to work! My OH doesn’t believe in expiry dates and at £30 a box we thought we might as well use these up first!

Minster2012 · 18/05/2020 08:32

@Ltay2 I would keep going with the OPKs & yes hope it’s towards the end of the week 🤞🏻

@BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum I’m totally with you on the work thing, I have been shielding too since March since MC & I’m so bored & get frustrated with an active toddler I’m now potty training my DH been working entire time & yet keeps making comments “this isolation is so dull” yet he’s only doing it at weekends like I remind him 😖I think we’d divorce if he had to be at home ALL the time with us!

@SmileyT fingers crossed it will change if I get a positive OPK then, though I’m rubbish at doing them & drink a lot of water so I hope it’s picked up

Welcome aboard newcomers!

Someone asked what OPK means & yes it’s the ovulation predictor strips, if we say CB then that’s Clear Blue (I’m using both to try pinpoint when ovulation is) & IC is internet cheapies

BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum · 18/05/2020 08:29

@SmileyT what do you guys do? My ndn is a nurse, him and his wife just got married last year and she found out she was pregnant just before lockdown 🙁 she’s had to go live with her parents because of his work. It’s horrible for them.

I was going to kill DP last night in bed. We had spag bol for dinner and he put extra garlic powder in his 🙄 full room stunk of garlic all night and it kept waking me up. Boys stink.

I love the bed to myself too! He has a few drinks on a Friday and stays up all night on the PS4 with his friends since lockdown and I actually get a full nights sleep. He goes to bed when I get up so I get a half day without him too. It’s brilliant 😂

SmileyT · 18/05/2020 08:22

@BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum haha, although I whinge about working it is kinda nice that both me and DP are key workers, think I would've gone mad spending 24hrs a day with him for the last 6 weeks. Although I miss him sometimes I do look forward to his night shifts when I get the bed to myself 🤣

@Minster2012 I think my femometer app predicts ovulation and then once you put in your +ve opk it updates it, but doesn't update it based on negatives if that makes sense. X

lucyrp · 18/05/2020 08:20

@Ltay2 I'm doing CB OPKs at the moment so just hoping that will help but i had a peak smiley on CD5 which messed things up so unsure what's happening but carrying on now, I think I should ovulate this week or latest middle of next week but we have DTD since Thursday every day just incase 😂

Ltay2 · 18/05/2020 08:17

@lucyrp I think I'm just going to have to carry on with OPK and hope it's more the end of the week to give us a bigger chance 🙈

J0DI3 · 18/05/2020 08:16

Just marking my place on the June bus 😁

user1491899880 · 18/05/2020 08:15

Can I jump in please? :)

We are TTC for baby nr2. Baby nr1 is now a 2.5yo toodler .
I'm supposed to ovulate around the 20th. So fingers crossed...
Good luck everyone;)

lucyrp · 18/05/2020 08:13

@Ltay2 I'm not the best person to ask about apps, I'm CD8 and Flo is telling me I'm not going to ovulate until the 6th June😂 that is definitely wrong and fermometer hasn't given me my next FW and neither has my health app on my phone so literally no idea, they're just predicting my AF and no ovulating at the moment! I'm kind of just winging it and hoping for the best

lucyrp · 18/05/2020 08:09

@Skip86 we didn't do that much for date night but we both dressed up as if we were going out for a meal and I did my hair and make up, we had steak and Homemade chips and I set the table up nicely with candles etc and then watched a film after! Was really nice actually 🥰

Ltay2 · 18/05/2020 08:08

Posted this in the May group but I know there's some different people in here so posting here too...

Those of you that use several apps for tracking, do you find any particular one more accurate than others for predicting ovulation day?

I am using:
Flo - predicts Thursday

Fermometer - predicts Thursday
Fertility Friend - predicts Friday
Natural Cycles - predicts Saturday
Fitbit - predicts Saturday

They all have at least a year worth of AF dates, and NC has temps but I am so bad at taking them I don't think they are too reliable, especially not the last few months.

So confused! We can't DTD until Weds due to OH slight injury so hoping it's more Friday/Saturday otherwise we are definitely out this month before we've even began 🙉

lucyrp · 18/05/2020 08:06

@Cocoblue22 yes I'm not the biggest fan of boots either! I've had 3 pregnancies and both times I used boots tests but only tested around the 8 week mark so levels of HCG would have been a lot higher and they were fine then but this time I did I think 4 boots tests and they were all negative I wouldn't suggest them ! I think the pink dye tests are better at picking up earlier and CB X

BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum · 18/05/2020 07:44

Thanks ladies ❤️

@33Carr I can’t believe this but I’m actually jealous of you going to work 😂 I’ve been at home shielding now since February, I work in an airport so was safer for me to be home right from the start. Now furloughed unfortunately 🙄

@SmileyT you would think, but he is being the biggest pain in the backside! I forget how much room he takes up, how much food he eats and how messy he is. He better get me pregnant soon so it’s worth him being home all this time 😂
