Hi ladies 💕

13dpo today and af is imminent as temp dropped to cover line plus a bfn. So who's joining me?
TTC #1
This will be cycle 13 since mmc (Feb 19) but been TTC since June 2018 so a horribly momentous month for me.

Bought some vitamins recommended by it starts with the egg for this month and also male conception tablets for DH. So we shall see 🤞🏼

Lots of luck and baby dust to everyone 🍀🌈💕

@Juno231 I fell off the wagon a bit mainly because I thought I was pregnant and I was eating everything in sight and I thought oh well no point dieting now because I'm pregnant and then I had the CP so I was like right you've got to carry on now no excuses, I think at the moment my total loss is only 1 stone 4 pounds. I get really frustrated because I lose like 5 pounds to start with and then it goes down to 2 W every week then sometimes il stay the same and sometimes il put on 2 pound but I'm still doing the same amount of exercise. Being a woman is hard work!

Juno231 · 19/05/2020 13:44

@ltay2 my ICs came with a tiny little plastic cup that easily fits in my palm and wouldn't be spotted by anyone I don't think. Maybe something to locate for next cycle?

@lucyrp well done on losing 2 stone! That's ideally what I'd like to lose as well but if I'm lucky pregnancy will get in the way of that. Managed to lose 3kg since the 20th last month (not counting the 1kg I've somehow gained over the weekend whilst still at a calorie deficit??) and when AF showed I was at least happy I could perhaps squeeze in another 3kg this cycle. Am so bloated right now though, I reckon I could pass for someone 5 months pregnant easily!

KRK05 · 19/05/2020 13:37

@Katao Yeah your definitely right it does need a baseline, I've used it twice now. Il test with IC again about tea time & if it's still the same il use my CB again so it's getting more a baseline & then hope for a flashy atleast over the next couple days 🤞🏻

Katao · 19/05/2020 13:21

Thanks @KRK05 I'd keep testing with the ics if I was you, at least youwillhave the information. Also I could be wrong but I think you are pretty likely to get a blank on the CB when you first use it because it has to build a baseline hormone level for you. Open to correctionon that though

jaxs23 · 19/05/2020 13:09

@juno231. "better to be a gas bomb during AF than FW"
ShockGrin funniest thing i heard in weeks

MrsDh2019 · 19/05/2020 12:08

Thanks everyone so much for being so lovely 💖 it’s great to have you all to talk to! I’m sorry I can’t reply to you all individually I’m at work and so only get to check my phone very briefly during my shift. but wishing you all baby dust and thanks again for your lovely encouragement 😊💖 xx

KRK05 · 19/05/2020 12:07

@Skip86 So weird, as if it's my first month doing them & there liking confusing me like that. Its day 2 & I'm coming to the conclusion theres something wrong with me 😂 I done my CB this morning at 8 was a big fat ⭕ (I sort of expected atleast a flashing smiley after 2 of yesterday's IC being pretty dark) why isnt anything simple 🙄 feel like I need give up the IC until I get a flashing smiley or I'm gonna stress myself out & its day 2 😂 congrats on the static smiley for u 🥳

@TTCgee This is my first month doing BBT too & mines all over the place, hoping by the end of the cycle though that it all makes sense 😂

@Katao Yay to the flashing smiley!! Out of the nothing zone, hope it's not too long to your static.

@MrsDh2019 Sorry it came on heavier for u, it sucks when the body plays tricks! Fresh start for a new cycle now 🤞🏻

@SmileyT Pretty much same as me then (although I'm not taking any supplements) I use Femometer for it & I only just realised when u go on the chart & look at it on landscape it looks all nice, I was looking at it without landscape & was convinced theres something wrong just looked so up & down daily 😂

@Maybe333 Sorry AF got u & sending hugs! It will be good to see when u ovulate especially with longer cycles atm with your OPKs. Sending u lots of baby dust for this cycle 🙏🏼

@Noble89 Ah I'm sorry AF got u & especially early, its nice to see u being positive though & definitely take it as a good thing of first cycle since you've been cleared from the hospital so u know your body is doing its thing 🙏🏼 time to spoil yourself while on AF, raid those snacks 🥰 sending u lots of baby dust for this cycle!

Noble89 · 19/05/2020 11:38

Hi ladies,

I'm heading over here from the May Bus after taking a few days off to just stop thinking about TTC. My cycles have been all over since my molar pregnancy which ended back on October. I've been under monitoring for months and I'm finally cleared to try again and last month was cycle one. I was bummed when AF showed up 4 days early but I'm taking it as a positive sign my cycles are actually returning to their normal length after having much longer cycles since my MC.

Nice to see some familiar names!

@SmileyT
@Ltay2
@MrsDh2019

How you all doing ladies?

AF has been vicious for me this time, I've had more bleeding each day than I usually have in my whole cycle but I'm guessing that's just my body regulating and getting back no normal now there's no HCG flying around my system screwing things up!

CD4 for me today. Glow is predicting ovulation on CD 16 same as last month. Flo seems to still be using a 33 day cycle so expect that will be way out but we shall see!

Baby dust to all!

Ltay2 · 19/05/2020 11:33

I am back in the office today after 9 weeks at home (social distancing, only 2 of us here) but I have to say trying to sneak to the toilet with a cup to do OPK testing is very difficult 😂

BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum · 19/05/2020 11:33

@MrsDh2019 hugs for u and best of luck for next cycle

Maybe333 · 19/05/2020 11:32

Mind if I join the June bus ladies?
AF just arrived today and feeling a little deflated tbh.. I just had a feeling that I was but not to be..
I've just ordered opks for the first time in my life so this is all new to me.. I used to be very regular (28days) before DD and DS but since coming off the coil there in January my cycles have been so long (36days or so). Not even confident I'm even ovulating.. So worth a try with opks. TTC number 3 but feel like it's a whole new world this time.
Been noseying/lurking on here for a while but figured I'd join in today :)

lucyrp · 19/05/2020 11:28

@MrsDh2019 Baby dust for this cycle ✨

lucyrp · 19/05/2020 11:27

@OnNaturesCourse @Juno231 I'm also trying to lose weight, I normally do slimming world and have lost nearly 2 stone since last January but keep wavering up and down and I haven't been doing it at all since lockdown and exercise has been non existent where as normally I go to the gym 3/4 times a week and walk and run in between. My weight has crept up by a few pounds according to my scales at home but how in sync with the slimming world ones I have no idea so I could have put on a stone for all I know. I've been for a 5k run this morning tho and now walking in the sunshine

BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum · 19/05/2020 11:21

@Juno231 I put my last period data in but that’s it! I’ll test everyday for now anyway.

@Skip86 I was better than I’d ever been during pregnancy. Consultant said it was because DPs DNA was in my body and was fighting the disease to protect the baby. All came crashing down when she was 8 weeks, and I ended up in high dependency for 3 weeks, hence the bag.

OnNaturesCourse · 19/05/2020 11:01

@MrsD... Im so sorry, I missed your update in the messages since I last logged in. Really sorry to hear AF arriving 🥺 here's to the next cycle 🤞 lots of baby dust coming your way xx

Minster2012 · 19/05/2020 10:59

@Skip86 & @Juno231 I’m following your chat too with interest! As I had an illeostomy then reversal in 2012 as a side effect of my chemo so I have similar scars & problems, my friend has chrohns too & I can understand the illeostomy saved my life. I saw on a program recently a lady with an illeostomy pregnant & she had to have c section due to all the scar tissue & issues so I assume it may be the case for us?

I was also let down by my weight this morning somehow managing 2kg on since the weekend?? Eh! Keep going though @Juno231 a few days or a week of good eating & a bit more exercising maybe? That’s what I’m telling myself

OnNaturesCourse · 19/05/2020 10:58

Morning ladies.

How are we all today.

CD 11 and negative ovulation stick this morning, but ovulation pain is here and so is my usual bloat and gas to boot 😩

@Juno are you on a weight loss journey too? I'm trying to lose a stone that has crept on since lockdown, doing calorie counting as that has worked for me before. Day 1 today!

Juno231 · 19/05/2020 10:44

@skip86 def ask away as I'm finding it fascinating and am learning lots! I've known two people with Crohn's (that I know of!) and it's always good to know more about it.

@BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum did you backfill previous period data into femometer? Otherwise I'd ignore their suggested ovulation date as it'll be purely guesswork until it has more data to base it on.

CD4 girls and I was so let down by the scales this morning! I'm somehow back to a weight i was a few weeks back despite still tracking my calories and eating below maintenance. I kept hoping it was AF bloat but AF is over now.... super frustrating/demotivating!

Minster2012 · 19/05/2020 09:37

@Skip86 I think you are right about the number of sticks for most ppl they will def try to get the most out of ppl so makes sense, I’m going to hold off & hope tomorrow brings that smile of joy! Totally understand you feel like you could t sleep, like when I got the flashing smile for the first time I was irrationally excited & wanted to jump on DH!!

Skip86 · 19/05/2020 09:33

@BumDiggy no it's perianal and I've had it about 8 frustrating years now. I'm in and out of hospital all the time with problems to do with it. Such a pain (like, literally). It's the main reason I had to have c-sections (2 kids, 2 and 4.5yo), but both were born very prem due to crohns complications and inflammation etc. Yes I had epic flare literally the day DC2 was born! Very tough when he was in NICU for 10 wks. Anyway though, that's a whole other story for another time and thread topic!

Ltay2 · 19/05/2020 09:32

@KRK05 the only thing I have done differently this cycle is take COQ10 and vitamin d although I've read the COQ10 takes a few months to do anything really! I'm not holding out a lot of hope for this cycle as I am now on CD13 and we can't DTD until tomorrow at the earliest 🙈

BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum · 19/05/2020 09:23

Flare not glare, stupid iPhone autocorrects

BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum · 19/05/2020 09:23

@Katao thank you! I’ll stick with the IC for a few months and get the lay of the land. Just downloaded the Femometer app and that’s saying ovulation in 3 days as opposed to ovia saying today so I’ll test all week.

@Skip86 ask away! Is your seton rv too? I only have one right now but had 4 all during my last pregnancy! This one has been in for nearly 2 years, last one was 4 I think. I can’t remember if you have other babies sorry, but how were you during pregnancy? Did you glare massively after it? I tell DD all the time my scars are her fault, she just tells me to shut up 😂

Skip86 · 19/05/2020 09:20

@SmileyT how funny is it that the static smiley brings so much joy?! I did my test this morning at 4am and then couldn't get back to sleep I was so excited. You'd think I'd got a positive preg test!

Skip86 · 19/05/2020 09:14

Ah bummer @MrsDh2019 😩 here's hoping June is the lucky cycle for you x

@BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum I have so many questions! On your meds and bag and seton (I have one too! And don't know anyone else who does), but I don't want to subject these poor girls with talk of my arse problems, haha! So glad to hear life is that much better for you with the bag now though 😊

For those talking about the CB digi, this is the first time I've used it properly and got to my 9th stick (of 10 in the box) on 9th day of testing before static smiley. I have a feeling the dates they tell you to start testing vs. predicted ov day vs. number of sticks in box is often juuust enough to see you through (so long as you don't get tempted to test too often!). Good luck to all using them!
