very faint line at 6DPO

Hi ladies,

I would love some of your opinions/stories on this subject.

I took a pregnancy test yesterday completely on the whim as they had just arrived in the post (I knew it would be a very high chance it would be negative) as I was only 6dpo, 7dpo today.

I was shocked when I saw a faint line! Shock

If you could let me know your thoughts on this one that would be fab.

I took another this morning and again it's another v v v faint line

Hi ladies! Tagging, so you all get notified.

Tested today with IC and FRER

Faint line on the IC which a squinter & BFN on FRER.

Very confused. I'm thinking the IC are all evaps

Hi OP sorry to see your other tests showed up negative but like other people said it’s still super early. When is AF due? Have you tried a FRER yet?

Hi OP have you tested today?

If you indent them it basically means it blocks all the colour out apart from the colour of the lines on a pregnancy test...can't think how to describe it. I use a free app called checker you just upload a photo and then click indent and it gives a clearer view of any lines.

Yes I know what I'm like I'll be testing everyday still! 🙈 haha!

It is definitely still early days. I didn't get my BFP with my daughter until 3 days before AF and then my son I was late on my period.

I've never had a positive at this early so I knew it was likely to be negative - this is why I'm so confused haha xxx

Hi lovely it's still REALLY early I didn't get my BFP last time until after af was due. The digital ones often don't show up for quite a few days after you get it on a normal strip. I would say keep testing as the days go on, most advice is to wait until at least 10dpo but I know the wait is like torture! Also you can try indenting tests to see if there's a faint line xx

@Luc1992 the digi one you will be way too early to get a positive - they aren’t as sensitive.
I would advise checking with a FRER - the blue dye tests are not great either

I've done the clear blue ones and both are negative.

So them IC must have been awful evaps!

Af is due around 10th may.
I'm okay actually.. I feel relaxed with the process.
I just brought a clear blue digital so I shall see what that says. I couldn't find any FRER in the shop so I'll have to order some online x

@coocoochill a line is a line though and AF is still late, I'd say its looking good but I can understand why you worry!!

Hi hun,

I can’t see a line in the pictures. Maybe it’s too early :) Have you tried any other test brands?

I’ve just tested again this morning 2 days after the test I have already posted. There’s another line! It came up after around 1-2 mins and got more prominent for the next few mins.

I’m still so scared it’s an evap line. I’m 7 days late so why is it so faint :( going to buy another type of test next week and try with that. Any you recommend?

Ok so done strips this morning..

Both have come back pretty much negative

Top one you can see a shadow of a line.
They must be nasty Evaps?

What do you think xx

that sounds promising to me.

I'm going to do a test strip this morning and then run and grab some FRER and clearblue.
Once I know the results I will let you all know xx

It sounds promising.

The test you done again in the evening,
Your urine could have been watered down through out the day so the line wouldn't have been stronger. Your HCG levels could still be low.

Did the line come up in the timeframe of the test?
There is still time. I would definitely test again in a couple more days. X

I am trying for our first baby with my husband. this is my test. Now 6 days late and that faint faint line showed up in 2 mins. I did another test on the evening and another line but even fainter. I then tested the next day and looked negative but not sure if I could still see a line. Could it be the tests I’m using? So confused. Going to test again tomorrow morning but treating it as negative for now xx

I had the same with my first. Very faint line, Around 7 dpo. He's 5 now.

Ahh! Did it!
I was thinking about getting a clearblue digital tomorrow or a FRER but was worried they might not be as sensitive- I will grab some tomorrow and update you on what they say. Xx

I see a line. My BFP test looked like that and I confirmed with a clear blue digital and FRER. Approx 7 DPO at the time for me too.
