Half way through the 2WW and just feel deflated

Hiya Ladies
Im 6DPO and just feel fed up. Sick of symptom spotting, sick of the voice in my head telling me this is the month only to have AF show up.
Last month took it out of me when I was 8 days late and convinced i was pregnant only for AF to show. Now this month i just feel like (as childish as it sounds) im never going to get those 2 lines. I have barely any symptoms this month other than sore boobs which i get every month.
Have any of you got tips on how to stay positive?
Also anyone else the same dpo as me and want to buddy up?

@xxlannixx 9DPO today so still a way to go.

xxlannixx · 02/05/2020 08:55

@Ltay2 how many dpo are you?

Sorry @Ltay2. Definitely there is still hope, wishing you lots of luck

Ltay2 · 02/05/2020 08:27

BFN for test this morning although not lost hope just yet as it's still too early to test. Will test again Tuesday. 🤞🏼

nina468 · 01/05/2020 21:20

@Luz192 do you mind me asking if you had tests privately and if so what company? We would be interested also if we could have the chance

Ltay2 · 01/05/2020 19:52

@Fifol That's what I'm thinking, I'm fully expecting AF to arrive this month but I feel if I get the BFN it will stop me stressing for a few more days.

Fifol · 01/05/2020 19:50

@Ltay2 fingers crossed you will get a lovely surprise with that test in the morning! I dont know if I will, part of me feels it's better to wait for AF but the last 2 times I was so anxious all day waiting for it, I dont know if I would be almost better if it was to be a bfn to prepare myself

CurbsideProphet · 01/05/2020 19:48

8dpo here 🙋🏻‍♀️
Time just drags on with no distraction at the weekend like seeing friends and family etc. Such an emotional roller-coaster.

Ltay2 · 01/05/2020 19:33

@Luz192 Sorry to hear you are having a frustrating TTC journey. Where did you get the tests done, was this through GP or privately?

@SarahTTCx I had those same sort of cramps too both yesterday and today, just not lower back. Of course it all could be AF related but hoping not 🤞🏼

@Fifol I am the same! Should be testing a Tuesday but will give in and do one in the morning no doubt.

Luz192 · 01/05/2020 19:29

I'm also 6DPO today - 5th cycle for no.1. It's definitely disheartening when it doesn't happen each month, when others get pregnant so quickly, and I can no longer imagine getting the two lines...

We did a day 21 blood test and a sperm test too after 3 months of trying, and hubby's results came out as low sperm count/low morphology, etc.. he was already eating really well (lots of organic vegetables, etc), exercising regularly, taking vitamins.... the only thing we could pinpoint was that he had been going to the sauna several times a week and we learnt that heat isn't good for sperm. So he's since stopped. My blood tests came back ok, so we're just hoping something happens in the next few months now that his sperm will have had time to regenerate. Of course the low results could be caused by something else.. stress or genetic perhaps.. or perhaps I have an underlying issue too.. time will tell :(

Last month I waited until day of AF to test (and promptly got AF the next morning!) - I want to wait and not test early, as it's really disheartening when it's a BFN (and costly too), however it's Ramadan at the moment and I'm fasting. If I were to find out I'm pregnant (unlikely!!!), I'd stop fasting, so I will probably test at 12DPO just in case.

SarahTTCx · 01/05/2020 17:10

I totally feel you... i'm 7/8dpo and feeling really deflated this month! I've had a UTI too so taking meds for that and its so uncomfortable.

The only symptoms i'm having are sore boobs (get these with AF too). Also, yesterday I had quite strong abdominal cramping, not like AF but more like the cramps you get with an upset tummy but without the upset tummy symptoms. It caused some aching in my lower back too. Got my hopes up a little then realised it could totally be either a side effect of the meds i'm taking OR a side effect of the UTI! This is so tough!!

Fifol · 01/05/2020 17:08

I should hold off testing until Tuesday but already feeling very impatient!

Ltay2 · 01/05/2020 15:53

@xxlannixx I will definitely keep checking whatever my test outcome! I am testing on Tuesday unless I decide to sneak one in beforehand at the weekend, although it would be too early so probably won't.

xxlannixx · 01/05/2020 15:44

What date is everyone planning on testing?

Honestly ladies your all bloody amazing. Feel i little better this afternoon after having a wobble this morning.
I just hope we can all catch that baby dust pronto.
It would he good if we could all carry on chatting and support each other over the next couple of weeks no matter the outcome.
Its clear we all love to symptom spot, google search and have ups and downs.

Good luck to you all 💕💕

babybumpfor2020 · 01/05/2020 13:09

You are not own with this feeling, nearly 2 years you would have thought I have learnt my learn not to symptom spot or test early but I've done the same this month again.

Baby dust to you all!

Bailey93 · 01/05/2020 13:06

@Ltay2 so hope you get your BFP. Fingers crossed for you. It's must get so hard after the first few times. I'm saying I'm 6dpo but actually on my Flo app I'm 2dpo...
I saw the egg white like cm 6 days ago and dtd that day and the 2 days after, so I'm counting that as my ovulation day but to be honest I've no idea whether that is right? But going to wait until my af due date anyway.

Fifol · 01/05/2020 12:54

@Ltay2 this is my 6th cycle ttc, came off the pill end of Sept/start of Oct but really feel I've only known what I'm doing the last 3 cycles as looking back I dont think my timing was 100%. I literally feel we did everything we could this time so I feel I'm extra obsessed!

Bailey93 · 01/05/2020 12:50

@Ltay2 this is only my first really since my mc in August. I hate how obsessed I get with it. I don't think it helps that we all don't really have distractions atm.

Ltay2 · 01/05/2020 12:46

How many cycles in are you all? This is only my second but already feeling the stress.

Fifol · 01/05/2020 12:43

Hi all, can I join in?! I feel exactly the same, I'm 12dpo. Sick of symptom spotting and actually dreading the day AF due because I am going to be heartbroken if she appears. It's so so hard this process, literally cannot concentrate on anything else but every little twinge and anything that might seem slightly different to other months.
Trying to keep positive as well here is obviously hope but also trying to manage my own expectations to avoid the huge disappointment.

Baby dust to all x

Belalice · 01/05/2020 12:32

I keep asking my poor OH whether or not he thinks this could be the month, knowing very well that he can't tell me but I just want someone to say, ' yes, you're almost definitely pregnant!' I am driving him loopy, but I am just so desperate

Ltay2 · 01/05/2020 12:24

I am 8DPO today and feeling the same. Having some mild cramps but then over analysing it to try and work out if early AF cramps or anything else 🙄

xxlannixx · 01/05/2020 12:14

Ofcourse not @Bailey93 - the more the merrier.
Its so humbling to hear so many of us are in this together.
