Ok, girls, our last thread did get crazy long so I am starting this one. If you don't like the name - well... too bad You'll get used to it over time .

ILTC, hi there sista! I feel like we're SO alike. Can you believe that my bleeding started again today? I was quite . And out of all places it started in a zoo when we were watching little sheep at the "petting zoo" section with DS and DH. Grrreat!~ Hope you're feeling better and this mess if over soon for all of us .

Rosybelle, hi there~ [sends a wave] Com'on over - sorry you're here but it's easier to get through things together. If you read my previous posts you know what I have to say - ERPC (or D&C) all the way. Good luck!

Scully, hi... you sound like me... actually my DH who is very much doubting TCC'ing again. And that's just after one MC! Well... we did have a stillborn DD1 but went on to have a beautiful DS. What would have happened if we got scared back then and didn't do it. Ooops, promised not to talk about it until mid-Oct. That's when my MC blood/ tissue results are back from the lab to tell us what was wrong with the baby. We agreed we wouldn't make any decisions until we find out.

Cricri, I know you won't be chechking this thread until later but hope your weekend in Holland is fab!

Hugs and smooches to all!

The pain seems to have gone now, so I'm really hoping the worst is over.

Kateandmom - I heard that Einstein didn't talk until he was 3. Or was it 5? Anyway, I hope it's nothing to worry about, and at least you're getting him checked out early so he'll get any help he needs.

alittlebitshy · 25/09/2007 11:47

af is here for sure
Hoping I get my miserable mood out of the way today cos i hate feeling like this.

Gilly - not seen much of counsellor lately. Once since the start of August. Seeing her next week though. NOt sure if it will help or not....

I'm off to ocmfort eat now I've gone up a clothes size again (went down one last year which was fab, but haaaard work)- most of the weight gain has been since the m/cs . can't be arsed though.

TJuice · 25/09/2007 09:55

alittlebitshy and triggles - you don't know until you know for sure. i have been playing the raising my own hopes game though and i think it may be doing my head in.

i had the same "only-when-wiped" AF before my bfp in july, so was hoping that last week's crap period was the same . . .but all my tests say no. and even so, i am thinking back and i didn't get a positive until another 10 days or so after that . . .

anyway, i really hope that it is good news for both of you.

but then last night i had supper at my friends place and had quite a lot of wine and just kind of let it out a bit . . . i have been very very moderate since july so am a complete bantam weight but i guess i kind of needed to let my hair down a bit, as this morning i feel kind of relieved, if a little fuzzy.

and i am definitely planning cake later on - i have an urge for sticky ginger cake . . .

lcy - where you at????

wheelybug · 25/09/2007 09:49

Hi Littlebit - my message crossed with yours - I knwo that doesn't seem likely given our messages were 20 mins apart but I got distracted halfway through by our builders.

Sorry you're feeling down - dd here has started talking about brothers and sisters. I'm not sure she quite understands the concept but a lot of her little friends now ahve baby brothers or sisters so she's beginning to cotton on. Bizarrely she always talks about having a brother even though most of her friends have little sisters - am not sure if its

a) a premonition
b) something spooky to do with the baby we lost
c) too much peppa pig

I'm going for c).

Anyway, am thinking of you. THe ups and downs are so hard - just as you think you're fine and getting over it, you suddenly realise you're not. Hugs..

Hello Gilly. Hugs to you too...

Just a quickie to say thinking of you today Rosy. Look after yourself.

Hello to Splishsplosh and Dustin - sorry you have to join us..

Kateandmom - Apparently my brother talk very late and he has a first and phd from Oxford so perhaps your ds is just saving up his potential ! Let us know how you get on but you're right, there's always something to worry about.

Hello everyone else - well back to earth after my lovely morning yesterday, its swimming lesson for dd which is never fun when its cold outside (well its quite fun when you're in the water but not the undressing and dressing !).

alittlebitshy · 25/09/2007 09:08

I thought I was in with a chance this month, but it seems not. af arrived today - 1-2 days late (my cycle is always 30-31 ISH). AT least I think it's af - it's so far only been when i wipe and one tiny almosy skid mark (if that makes sense without sounding too gross) on my s/t. It was like this before my bfp in June (when i m/c for the second time), so i'm not even sure what i want to think.
Stupidly did a hpt on Sun night, it looked neg so i threw it away but when i went bakc a few mins later (not sure if within the 10 mins or not) I swear there was a faint line. Just don't know. I wish I could have the excitement back of thinking i'll get preg fairly easily (I do) but even if not, when i get pg i'd stay pg. sigh. Feeling v sorry for myself anf quite sad and tearful.
I love my dd so much but I want a baby too, i want her to have a sibling (she always says "mummy IF i have a baby brother or sister we can do x, y or z". Sob.
I know i haven't been visible on here latelt but i do read all the time, and just felt i was ok... but i'm not. I keep remembering seeing the blood when i m/c first time in March. My heart almost skips a beat easch time i remember

EllieG · 25/09/2007 08:52

How you feeling today splish?

sweetkitty · 24/09/2007 22:35

spilsh - my cocodamol was left over from DD2's birth, I specifically asked for them for the afterpains and took them for a few days after she was born so pretty sure you can take them whilst BFing only problem is they are prescription only BUT I'm sure theres an over the counter painkiller that has codeine and paracetamol at a lesser dose, you would have to ask the pharmacist although hopefully you are over the worst of it now and won't need any painkillers

rosy - poor DD, my friends little sis has an op to correct a squint and she's a wee stunner now so it totally worked, your DD will be fine too but it's horrible when they have to go through anything like it, again best of luck for tomorrow you got the whole thread thinking of you xxx

triggles - next month will be the month for you ((hugs)) I thought that as well get an AF out the way, get a CD1 know where you are.

iliketosleep · 24/09/2007 22:28

rum truffle cake

rosy, please dont say its soooooo noooooo im sorry im sorry

RosyBelle · 24/09/2007 21:26

Kat - I'll try it!! I really will. She is a good girl (as we know!! ) but she likes her food! Apparently we can give her a sip of water at half past 10. Oh great.
xx

katendmom · 24/09/2007 21:24

Triggles you sound just like me - yep, rationalization all the way . But in all honesty - and it's not what we like to hear - but you're right. It is absolute best to get your normal AF after mc before you get pg. Good luck, girly!

Rosy that's unreal for a little munchkin. Can she at least have a sip of juice or something? The way I'd do it - try to turn it into a game, a competition. "we're on a deserted island... who can hang on longer with no food or drink (until daddy comes home tonight and ?rescues us??) - mommy or you?" This way it will hopefully be a bit like a game but you also have the "closure" of "until daddy comes home" - which is after the procedure, right? So she doesn't starve herself for days! Just an idea...

RosyBelle · 24/09/2007 21:23

Aaaahhh Triggles - sorry hun. Next month eh? xx

Ilts - yeah right - ignore me when everyone else is soooo nice.... just forget me and hang me out to dry... were finished buddy!!

FFS pass the rum truffle cake will you!!!
xx

iliketosleep · 24/09/2007 21:10

triggles so sorry xx

and rosy omg i cant believe i forgot to say good luck for tomorrow GOOD LUCK it will all be over by tomorrow night

right, pissed on cake? how? whos been spiking my cake hiccup

Triggles · 24/09/2007 21:08

Sorry, I've been a bit MIA. Well, that light pink BFP I had must have been just rampant hormones or something, cuz I've tested twice since then and BFNs both times. I'm 14dpo now, so I imagine it's just waiting for AF now. It's probably healthier for me to have my first AF after the m/c anyway before I get pregnant. (yup, gotta rationalise it somehow, right?)

RosyBelle · 24/09/2007 21:02

Thanks for all your good wishes girls... sorry ilts - pissed on cake then!!

Kat - I know - and thanks but you just can't help but worry bout them... her 'procedure' is at 13:00 hrs on the 8th and she can't eat for 6 hrs before - so pretty much all day! How do you tell a 4 yr old - no morning snack - no lunch - no juice..... aaahhhhh!

Cricri - not premature at all - can't help get excited can we. I know I kept going into spare room and trying to picture what I would do to make it a nursery!! And looked at prams in catalogues (gave mine away after last IVF failed).

Splish - hope you are feeling better. Hopefully that will be it for you. I know all I have passed is a few small clots when I went to the toilet and lots of dark brown blood (now how is that for TMI). I hope they will scan me tomorrow but I'm pretty sure I haven't had a full miscarriage.

xx

iliketosleep · 24/09/2007 21:02

splish, that sounds identical to me, did you have a "contraction" followed by a gush of blood and posibly a clot?

cricri · 24/09/2007 20:50

Sorry splishsplosh - X-posted. Sounds like the worst is over from what you say but don't hesitate to get yourself to the EPU or A&E if the bleeding gets too heavy.
I know what you mean about the pregnancy books - I've hidden mine away too. I'd ordered a Tommy's guide to being pregnant a few weeks ago and that arrived last week then today I got some stuff from the NCT. I also had to email my local NCT group and withdraw from the antenatal classes I'd put my name down for. It was a little premature looking back, but I was so excited.
Look after yourself anyway.

katendmom · 24/09/2007 20:48

splishsplosh I am so sorry ~ yes, this experience is so different for all? Glad to hear that pain has subsided a bit and you?re doing the right thing. Put away (for just a little bit, ok) things that upset you and keep focused on your ray of sunshine.

Also, I?ve been told that since what you experience during MC are true contractions, if you can put your feet up and drink some water (what they tell you to do when pg and experience bad Braxton ones) ? it might help with pain management during MC.

Is your DH around/ close enough just in case? Take care, sweetie!

Thanks Sweetkitty - chocolate always cheers me up.
restricted to paracetamol cos of breastfeeding

sweetkitty · 24/09/2007 20:45

I got some M&S chocolate bites I will pass around

spilsh - sorry that sounds rough today don't worry about TMI I think I have been really graphic on here, hope you have passed it all now, my bleeding varied from heavy to light to not at all it's so different for everyone. I took cocodamol when it was really bad which helped xxx

katendmom · 24/09/2007 20:43

Rosy, hun, I am with you in thoughts every step of the way! See, not wishing you luck cuz you won't need any - everything will go heavenly well tomorrow! It will be the new chapter in your book and you sooo deserve it.

NOW, best of luck to our little girl. Again, I am darn sure that everything will be super. Kids are resilient little buggers and deal with things SO much better than we do. Just think - after the procedure (let's not call it a surgery) - she will see so much better!

So go, take care of yourself and then we'll get our kiddies back on track lickity split! Deal?

Let us know ASAP when you?re back at home and how you?re feeling!

XOXOXO

Hope everything goes well for you tomorrow Rosybelle. Take care of yourself xx

splishsplosh · 24/09/2007 20:39

thank you for all your welcoming messages.

Cos I've been bleeding since Thursday and the woman who scanned me thought I'd passed most of it, I assumed things wouldn't get any worse....

The this afternoon I took my dd to the park 10 minutes away, but suddenly it felt likea tap had been turned on, and by the time I got home, blood had soaked through pad & trousers, sorry tmi I know. Also sooo painful, like contractions, and paracetamol just didn't seem to help at all. Luckily things seem to have settled down a bit, so I'm really really hoping I've passed most now. I so don't want to find I wait and wait for things to go naturally and then end up having to have any op as well. I just want it over.

My dd has been a good distraction, because when I'm on my own I keep crying. I hate seeing all the Emma's Diary / Bounty pack stuff lying about, and have hidden away my 2 old pregnancy books again.

EllieG · 24/09/2007 20:32

I haven't got any cake and I want some
