Ok, girls, our last thread did get crazy long so I am starting this one. If you don't like the name - well... too bad You'll get used to it over time .

ILTC, hi there sista! I feel like we're SO alike. Can you believe that my bleeding started again today? I was quite . And out of all places it started in a zoo when we were watching little sheep at the "petting zoo" section with DS and DH. Grrreat!~ Hope you're feeling better and this mess if over soon for all of us .

Rosybelle, hi there~ [sends a wave] Com'on over - sorry you're here but it's easier to get through things together. If you read my previous posts you know what I have to say - ERPC (or D&C) all the way. Good luck!

Scully, hi... you sound like me... actually my DH who is very much doubting TCC'ing again. And that's just after one MC! Well... we did have a stillborn DD1 but went on to have a beautiful DS. What would have happened if we got scared back then and didn't do it. Ooops, promised not to talk about it until mid-Oct. That's when my MC blood/ tissue results are back from the lab to tell us what was wrong with the baby. We agreed we wouldn't make any decisions until we find out.

Cricri, I know you won't be chechking this thread until later but hope your weekend in Holland is fab!

Hugs and smooches to all!

Ronshar your vag must be ok if you can run 5 miles. After having ds I had a go on a trampoline and nearly wet myself!

ladylush · 28/09/2007 10:09

5 miles! Most impressed. I can just about manage 20 mins on a rowing machine Swimming distance is easier.

ClairePO · 28/09/2007 09:25

5 mile run? Blimey, that's a bit keen!! Have fun!

ronshar · 28/09/2007 09:22

I am about to go out for a 5mile run so no cake for me this morning. Although later is different!
Chocolate all the way for me please.
Claire I hope you feel better soon. Get bding just in case you never know being poorly may take your mind off TTC for long enough to get that BFP.

ClairePO · 28/09/2007 09:19

Morning all

Off work as have temp and headache and achey, went to docs last monday and she said throat infection but still don't have a sore throat so no idea how that works. I also think I'm ovulating (well an OPK gave me a surge yesterday, I think, I'm new to all this) but if I'm a bit poorly that probably means no chance of conceiving?

So, gonna make cakie, only question is what type? Hankering for coffee cake but DP does not like that so maybe big squishy choccie cake? Or I could make cupcakes and do some coffee and some choccie with lots of butter icing? Any requests?

ronshar · 28/09/2007 09:13

Morning ladies!
Good news Flossie, you have a warty cervix eh??.
I was told a couple of years ago that I had a baggy vagina! I mean how rude! I think it was because the nurse couldnt see my cervix to take a sample for smear! Thats my story and I am sticking to it. I no longer have baggy bits, Pelvic floor exercises very good. I do have 2 children you know.
I am going to stop now as a digging a bigger hole for myself. Maybe I should change my name?

Something to cheer up your Friday mornings!

Triggles · 27/09/2007 23:29

Sorry, work has been so busy, and I've been just exhausted. No AF yet, no BFP, no idea what's going on. Maybe I didn't really O? Maybe that spotting WAS my AF?? If so, I told DH that means I may be O'ing soon and to rest while he can.

Having had a baby in the US and one in the UK, I definitely think the UK is far ahead in both maternity/childbirth care and maternity benefits/leave. The US, for all it's talk from the government about how important family values are, they sure aren't "family friendly"!! (And yes, I can say that as I'm an American - been living in the UK for 3 years now, married to my British DH). My work even gave me 3 weeks off (listed as paid pregnancy/sick/bereavement leave) each time when I had a miscarriage as they stressed to me that they wanted to make sure I was both physically and mentally feeling okay before I returned to work. At my old job in the US, had I called in saying I can't come in I'm having a miscarriage, the response would have been "so you'll be in.. what... like tomorrow?"

FlossieF · 27/09/2007 22:37

Thanks for all the good wishes, and positive thoughts - much appreciated. It turns out that the reason they did the biopsy was that my cervix "looked warty"!!!! Consultant thinks it was just a pregnancy related change, so all good, but a warty cervix??!! Lovely. Just as well I can't see it!

Positive - hope you are feeling better soon, and that the scan next week brings good news. Keep us posted.

TJuice - I shall keep going with the acupuncture - I'm keeping an open mind, and hearing about other people's good experiences helps.

I've also contemplated hypnotherapy (I've also read the Zita West book, Gillydaffodil!), but I'll see how it goes. If I can maintain a positive frame of mind by myself, I'll save my money, and if not, I'll investigate further.

Unfortunately, I'll have to give the cake gathering a miss - I'll be in China with work. It's a hard life. I'm actually based in Birmingham - is anyone else from round here? If so, we could organise a Midlands cake-fest.... (Mind you, Zita West would not approve of all this cake talk.)

Hope everyone has had a good day - insensitive and uncalled-for comments from work colleagues aside.

nh101 · 27/09/2007 17:41

Hey Popsy75 - do whatever makes you feel better! Am I right in thinking you are not Popsy76 who was on my original MC thread back in March (stupid question??? I am sure she was Popsy76 - confusing!)

poppy75 · 27/09/2007 17:29

Hello guys so many posts to keep up with!!!

Floss - I'm so glad everything was ok big relief.

Am feeling better today, went shopping (always helps) bought great boots and jeans that I definately wouldn't be able to fit if I got pregnant. Might look into this hypnotherapy stuff - who knows

LittleSquirt · 27/09/2007 17:11

Oh, I know what you mean Kate - I finally got a BFN 3 weeks after my ERPC in July so was elated when I got a BFP the following week but turns out that was still from my MMC (how my levels went down then up again I'll never know but it nearly killed me when I thought I was PG again but then got loads of BFNs again after that )

katendmom · 27/09/2007 16:09

LittleSquirt I am Russian so revolutions work for me as well. And since I am still in this pregnant but not limbo - my hormones are still high giving false positive after my MC - maybe I'll find another project for a moment until I can really TTC and start a revolution. What the heck?! After reading all your maternity leave deals ? I?m ready to move countries again!

GF3 I am so glad you're feeling better!

FlossieF GREAT NEWS girl! I am ecstatic for you! I can ONLY imagine what a relief it is - go on, log off and get down to business with your DH.

Can I just tell you all - in R/L I am SO shy about talking about the "bedroom subject"... that I would never even talk about it with my DH . If he saw my posts, he'd flip over.

Thanks girls about the motivational speaker compliment. Not professional. Just developed over the years as I am always trying to convince my DH into something. He's had it. I think now he just gives up ? hence changing his mind about TTC on his own (without me nudging him) shortly after telling me that he "won't put me through this again." Like it was HE who caused my MC!

I'm feeling a bit strange today. Some mild cramps, very similar to what I'd normally get before OV. Bleeding has stopped long ago but my stupid pg test is still showing positive?! It is just NOT fair. So I am refusing to buy any more tests - OV or pg. I'll just wait until my belly starts growing and then I'll know I am pg .

~Kate raises her hand and swears ~ I shall not buy any tests. I shall collect all that money and buy self a lush pair of new shoes by November 1.

gillydaffodil I found about hypnotherapy and fertility after reading a magazine article about a therapist called Tina Taylor. she had helped women who had been told they had no chance of getting pregnant naturally and after having a few sessions of hypnotherapy they got pregnant. I emailed her to ask about booking an appointment but she was based too far away from where I lived. She suggested I purchased her fertility cd. I don't think I have consciously listened to it all the way through as I always fall asleep but it still works on your unconscious mind apparently.

bitch

actually I have got a few spots today

nh101 · 27/09/2007 14:36

Flossie that's great news.

Someone at work who knows I am PG has just told me that someone who doesn't know I am PG has just asked her "Is nh pregnant - her skin's a mess" Cheeky bitch. I don't even like her but she knows I am desperate to be PG cos of my MC so it is not the greatest leap to ask if I am but to say that! I am - I am looking a bit of a mess (spotty) but you don't want to hear it do you!

sweetkitty · 27/09/2007 14:24

Flossie - thats great news, good luck with the ttc

Dustin - agree hypnotherapy and aromatherapy are lush

nh - one of the reasons we left Scotland in the first place was because I couldn't get a job (I'm a microbiologist specialising in food safety) I don't regret coming back but it has in effect ended my career if I do the post grad teaching teaching course it's only a year but I know it's a very hard course and I don't have family that will help out so could prove difficult. Still don't want to think about that yet main thing is getting a third baby.

DUSTIN · 27/09/2007 14:21

Thanks nh101 I may need it.

Good news FlossieF.

FlossieF · 27/09/2007 14:14

Biopsy results normal! Three cheers!!! Feel like a huge weight has been lifted - didn't realise now much it had been getting me down.

Consultant also said to lock dp in (his words) and start ttc without further delay!!! Might just do that......

At work, will post more later.

nh101 · 27/09/2007 14:11

Good luck Dustin! I think hypnotherapy and aromatherapy are definitely good things.

Sweetkitty, I would also retrain as a primary school teacher if I couldn't do my current job after my kids go to school. But I am hoping to come back two days a week here after maternity leave to keep my oar in if you like. Once you leave a profession to have kids it can be hard to get back into it (so unfair)

DUSTIN · 27/09/2007 13:51

Hello everyone.

Just wanted to say that I totally agree with katendmom about how unintentionally we can block out the thing we want most (katendmom should be a motivational speaker). It took me 3 years to get pregnant the first time but unfortunately this ended in a miscarriage. I didn't want to have to wait another 3 years to get pregnant again so I tried hypnotherapy and a month later I was pregnant. I really believe the hypnotherapy helped.

Anyway, had my 2nd scan yesterday and they have said I am over the worst of the bleeding now. The nurse I had dealing with me was lovely and gave me a hug when I got upset and took the time to chat to me about trying again.

Well I better go and dust off my hyponotherapy tapes in preparation.

Take care everyone x

sweetkitty · 27/09/2007 12:31

oh can't do cake fest as I'm in Scotland wee but too far to travel but I will ahve some cake at my pc.

sweetkitty · 27/09/2007 12:30

hi just popping by to say hello need to go and make lunch for the monsters will have a proper read later if I get the chance.

When I had DD1 I got 6 weeks on 90%, then an additional 6 weeks at 90% paid by the company (had to be paid back if you didn't come back) then £100 a week until 6 months then 6 months unpaid.

Company had a restructure whilst I was away but I had already told my boss I wasn't coming back and was moving to the other side of the country but he swung it so I was made redundant, kept the maternity money, got a lovely redundancy package and bonus which was great. I would love to work part time but the cost of childcare prevents it so I'm a SAHM. Also my job was very specialised and I won't get one like it up here so I'm kind of screwed career wise which is once the DCs are at school I want to retrain as a primary teacher.

ladylush · 27/09/2007 12:11

Hi everyone, sorry haven't been on here for a while. Cake fest 9th Nov? Any ideas for venue yet?

nh101 · 27/09/2007 10:51

TJuice - 15mg of zinc is recommended. I take a pregnacare multivitamin every day and DH has sanatagon A-Z cos that has 15mg zinc in (some multivits have less zinc)
