Hi all,

I joined a similar thread last month and found it really supportive. It’d be great to hear from others.

We’ve been trying for number 2 for two years now and each month gets more emotionally difficult. Xx

I don't know if I should order tests online for next week when I can test or if I should just wait until I'm actually late if I get to that point...

babymaybeeee · 05/05/2020 01:05

@Smiling124 my nipples and a little further into the breast has been so so tender. I'm 7dpo, I didn't realise how far past ovulation I was until I've just counted on my Flo app now - fingers crossed it's a good sign for us both

Smiling124 · 04/05/2020 23:06

Hi,

I hope you don't mind me joining I am 4dpo and finding this month the hardest with no distractions! I can't help my symptom spot (I know it is too early) but defiantly a change in boob sensitivity!trying not to get my hopes up but it's hard!

Bailey93 · 04/05/2020 22:12

I guess we are all just stuck in with no distractions! It's so much harder!

Cheesybiscuits01 · 04/05/2020 21:56

I just want to fast forward a week. Don't know why it seems so bad this month.

BabyDust13 · 04/05/2020 21:36

@Cheesybiscuits01 the longest 🙄

Bailey93 · 04/05/2020 21:35

@Cheesybiscuits01 yep!! The days are just sooo slow.
I don't know about anyone else but I am super moody today. I've even had to come upstairs and left dp down there because I'm in such a bad mood. For no reason! Feel so sorry for him lol.

Cheesybiscuits01 · 04/05/2020 21:32

Anyone else feel like this is the longest tww ever? I keep rechecking the dates thinking I miscounted but no time is slowing down.

Sussexbysea · 04/05/2020 18:55

Fingers crossed @SmileyT x

@SmileyT Thanks for that and sorry for your loss xx

SmileyT · 04/05/2020 16:50

@Lottie3093 I wouldn't count yourself out, the LP tends to stay the same I think and your cycle may just be longer this month. I was tracking (just on my Fitbit) for the last 2 years and all of my cycles are between 25 and 33 days (about half were 28) but randomly had one 43 day cycle last year so these things do happen. I'd just keep and eye on it, maybe your body is just gearing up to pop out the most perfect egg 🤞

@Sussexbysea well hopefully you get lucky this month anyway but if you don't there may be something around treatment for this that will help with the coming months ❤️

Sussexbysea · 04/05/2020 16:21

Docs have told me that I need to consider not trying for a baby at the moment because I have an overactive thyroid and treating it whilst pregnant is difficult and can be dangerous. I laughed down the phone and said “ we’ll have to wait and see now, the two week wait has begun”

It would explain the length of time to get pregnant, and Numerous other symptoms

Ive been using OPKs and tracking CM. All negative OPKs up to now. Im CD19 today. Normal cycle for me is 30 days but last month was 29. I always get horrific breast pain at ovulation too that last until AF and ive not got that yet either.

Just seems like if I do ovulate this month its going to be a short leutal phase so that isnt going to help either!

SmileyT · 04/05/2020 15:09

Welcome @babymaybeeee and sorry about your loss last year x

SmileyT · 04/05/2020 15:08

@BernadetteSunday that makes complete sense I don't want to look back on this year and think all I did was try for a baby especially if it doesn't happen.

@becky239 I'm also 2dpo over here but my AF isn't due until 18th apparently 😴

@Brodijen I had a MC in March and when I went into see the nurse for spotting she told me to avoid exercise which really put me on edge about doing it now as up until that point I'd carried on my normal exercise routine 6 times a week. I'm still walking but no heavy workouts (much easier with gyms closed 😂) everything I've read online tells me that it doesn't hurt implantation though x

babymaybeeee · 04/05/2020 14:31

Hi! I'm gonna be testing 13th of may also however think it's not likely for me this month as it's my 2nd month off of cerelle pill and have dtd 2 days before ovulation and about 3 days after (I think?!) but it wouldn't be impossible. Lost my first baby at 9 weeks on the 23rd of April last year and we have now decided we are in a position to try again.
We did try after we lost the baby but found we became obsessed with it and it just wasn't happening so we are just going with the flow this time round whilst making plans for the future together to keep us focused on other things.

Fingers crossed for you all, would be lovely to see some positive tests on this thread 💖

Brodijen · 04/05/2020 14:18

@Skyla01
Thanks for that, you’re dead right, can’t put life on hold for TTC and exercise is keeping me sane right now.
@BabyDust13 You’re dead right haha! Maybe I should start running my buddy belly now too Grin

BabyDust13 · 04/05/2020 13:59

@hayho87 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I broke out in so many spots this morning they came from no where and weirdly my teeth are super sensitive today 😂 probably totally unrelated

4DPO and counting

I feel a bit like a Buddha OH keeps rubbing my belly apparently he's sending good vibes 😂🥰

@Brodijen hi I haven't been doing much exercise just a daily walk trying to get pregnant is exercise enough 😂😂

Skyla01 · 04/05/2020 13:56

@Brodijen I still exercise as normal. I try not to do anything too strenuous though. I'm not sure if exercise can reduce your chances. However I don't want to change my whole life for ttc, especially if you don't know if it will even help or not! It's a bit of a minefield really. But I reckon if you are not doing anything really strenuous you're probably ok.

Brodijen · 04/05/2020 13:33

Hey guys can I join too? Only my fifth cycle trying after MMC last October. Did a day 21 progesterone test with the doc last week to make sure I’m ovulating as I’m not really sure and getting results tomorrow hopefully. Can I ask.....is anyone exercising during this TWW? I think I’ll crack up if I can’t get out for a run but maybe I should give it a rest during this time? Would appreciate any feedback you have.

hayho87 · 04/05/2020 13:12

Strange night last night, I woke at 1:30 and couldn't get back to sleep until 4! Light cramping on and off still and just now...tmi I've had loads of creamy cm 🤔 I am normally dry right up until AF so fingers crossed this is a good sign! I'm 6/7dpo today xx

Skyla01 · 04/05/2020 13:11

@becky239 ttc number 1 for over a year. Yeah I think it's normal for your optimism to fluctuate up and down with the cycle. I try now to keep my mood as level as I can. Sounds a bit wacky but I've recently found fertility yoga + a bit of meditation really useful to change my mindset to positive. And being more calm & happier can only be a good thing, especially for those who have been on this crazy journey for longer than they would like!

becky239 · 04/05/2020 11:14

@BernadetteSunday @Skyla01 how many months have you been TTC?? I always find that at the beginning of my cycle I feel very positive and optimistic but my hope just goes down gradually after ovulation until af is due 😓

Skyla01 · 04/05/2020 10:41

@Lottie3093 plenty of time still for a may ovulation!

@becky239 think I'm around the same place in my cycle as you. Trying not to track closely this cycle as last month I went insane during the tww! Feeling ok so far.

BernadetteSunday · 04/05/2020 09:20

@Lottie3093 I’m sorry to hear - fecking ovulation. I swear there’s no rhyme or reason to what goes on inside our bodies. My husband sometimes looks are me and says “Why don’t you come with instructions? Being a woman is complicated”

@becky239 Hey! Yes, very much waiting for the same ish time as you. This second part of the tww is the hardest.

@SmileyT I’m with you. No guilt. At the start of this journey I didn’t drink during my tww but I read a really great book (Expecting Better by Emily Oster) and she put it beautifully - how hard it is to live like a pregnant women all the time when you’re not getting pregnant easily. And how if you’re not drinking people look at you like “oh I bet she’s pregnant” and hint a lot!
