@MadisonC is it too early for a temp drop or is it usually gradual?

Skyla01 · 12/05/2020 13:21

@mumoftwobeauts it won't let me see the picture. Are those LH tests? The surge usually happens about 24hr before ovulation. I think with yesterday and today you've got it covered although a cheeky last one tomorrow morning wouldn't be a bad idea either! Sounds like you'll be in the TWW from tomorrow...!

How is everyone else? @Ripleysfirst?
Still no sign of AF here...

mumoftwobeauts · 12/05/2020 12:20

Morning everyone.

The strongest one was yesterday. We dtd lastnight and this morning. Is that enough!?

TTC .... TWW wait part 2 !
MadisonC · 12/05/2020 08:39

@Juno231 we're at very similar stages then :) I've had slightly sore boobs and the twinges, but also a heavy feeling like AF is coming. Plus my bbt dropped a lot this morning so it's not looking positive.
@Skyla01 I have everything crossed for you, it's sounding promising! x

Skyla01 · 11/05/2020 21:42

@MadisonC I'm not sure but I think AF was due between yesterday and Wednesday. I'm trying not to track too closely this cycle hence the uncertainty. If AF doesn't arrive I'll test Friday at the earliest. Not got any symptoms really but not period cramps yet either!

This cycle I've found not knowing exact CD has stopped me obsessing so much. It is hard when you get to this stage of the cycle though!

Juno231 · 11/05/2020 20:57

@madisonc 8dpo and symptom spotting like crazy even i was going to try not to. Lots of creamy CM, sharp twinges/pulling on my lower right abdomen... Could be something or could be pre AF signs lol.

MadisonC · 11/05/2020 19:18

@Skyla01 resisting is really hard, and I don't know bout anyone else but I've become super sensitive to my pms symptoms. There have be a good few times I've been convinced I'm pregnant when I'm not so I'm trying to teach myself to take it with a pinch of salt!
How many dpo are you now?
How's everyone else doing?
I'm at 7dpo x

Skyla01 · 11/05/2020 13:43

Also I am far too cheap to buy frers!

Skyla01 · 11/05/2020 13:42

@MadisonC well see how you go. I imagine if you have a few cheap tests lying around it will be hard to resist! I feel sorry for ladies who get squinters that come and go and they are in limbo for a few days. Must be really stressful so I prefer to wait for AF instead.

MadisonC · 11/05/2020 13:34

@Skyla01 sounds like you're very restrained, I have a few tests from the Femometer kit so don't need to spend a fortune, I'm just being inpatient! You're right though, it's definitely better to wait and know for certain rather than the confusion of wondering if it's a false negative from being too early. I have a week to wait so just have to resist temptation and hold out Smile

Skyla01 · 11/05/2020 11:09

@MadisonC I don't even think about testing until my period is definitely late. My cycles are very regular now and I haven't needed to take a test for almost a year! Af arrives and saves me the bother.

I think lots of people test from 10dpo. Seems a bit crazy to me- why not just wait a few days? But at the very least use cheapie tests. I can't believe how much some folk pee away on expensive tests!

But also this is just my opinion- if you fall pregnant quickly it won't matter either way!

Sammyclaire22 · 10/05/2020 21:46

@Madisonc Yeh I was religious with it for the last 9 cycles but this month I've needed a break. I've only got one tube so wanted to be sure we could maximise our chances as much as possible but I seem to ovulate cd11 give or take a day and my cm is usually pretty consistent. This month I took my bbt cd11 and 13 to check and havnt done but otherwise and it's been a lot easier. I'm waking up less early too! Think I was stressing about getting an accurate reading before my dd woke up.
I've been an early tester the whole way through, usually about 9/10dpo but sometimes earlier if I was having a crazy month. This month I'm going to try and last until 14dpo, but I usually convince myself I have symptoms and want to test to stop myself getting carried away too much

MadisonC · 10/05/2020 21:36

*Meant to say using opk and bbt

MadisonC · 10/05/2020 21:35

Thanks @Sammyclaire22 , using the ppl and bbt has been good to get to know my cycle definitely, & reassuring I'm ovulating at about the expected time. Having to test twice a day though also ensures it's always on your mind. I may need to take a leaf out of @Skyla01 's book and relax a little. Thank you for your lovely comment btw.
Hope you are all doing well.
One more quick question... it seems 9dpo is the first day you can start pregnancy testing, obviously it's better to wait as long as possible but wondering what peoples opinions are? x

Donnat89 · 10/05/2020 20:42

@Skyla01 we can only hope tbh yes it's been nice not obsessing as much . So we will see xxx

Hi @Donnat89 sorry you've been having a tough time. I think the distractions from ttc can be welcome in a way. This could easily be your month xx

Donnat89 · 10/05/2020 17:59

Hi ladies sorry I haven't been around much I've had a lot of family stuff going on so literally haven't had time to even breath only dawned on me that I was like 4DPO or something in not even sure OPKS went out the window with everything going on so I'm just playing the waiting game and highly doubt this month is my month !

Congratulations @Adrianoska brilliant news !

Hope everyone is well xxx

Welcome @MadisonC. Sorry to hear about your previous mcs, that sounds really tough. I'm sorry I haven't used bbt so can't be much help. I've taken a relaxed approach to tracking this cycle which has helped with the horrible tww.

Sammyclaire22 · 10/05/2020 15:55

@MadisonC it might be, but not can be really easily affected by what time you take it, if you've had any alcohol how well you slept etc or just be a random fluke!
I found it was mainly useful for getting my monthly cycle average min temp and post ov temp and to be sure that I had ovulated.

Sammyclaire22 · 10/05/2020 15:52

Pretty certain on my timings @juno231, I've not tracked this month as carefully but did my bbt twice just to check I hadn't ovulated then to be sure I had so it was either cd11 or 12. I guess it could be from ovulation, I don't normally bleed but I've been taking different supplements this time. Hopefully not implantation as I've had one ectopic before so worry it could happen again.

MadisonC · 10/05/2020 14:33

Also wanted to get opinions on my bbt chart, it's my first so unfortunately I don't have anything to compare with, but wondering if you can get an implantation dip at 5dpo? Or am I clutching at straws! x

TTC .... TWW wait part 2 !
MadisonC · 10/05/2020 14:28

Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining too, seems a lovely group! Been ttc for several months now following a break last summer after 2 miscarriages. Have been tracking bbt and using ovulation strips for the first time this month so the tww feels even tougher - it's on my mind all the time! It's so reassuring to read I'm not the only one losing the plot a little!
I'm 6dpo so have a week before I can test. Fingers crossed for everyone! x

Skyla01 · 10/05/2020 08:43

@Sammyclaire22 I have never had bleeding at that stage of the cycle. Sounds a bit odd. Fc it won't affect your chances this cycle it's still early. Unless it's implantation?

Juno231 · 10/05/2020 07:59

@sammyclaire22 how confident are you about your OD? If you're 6DPO it could be implantation bleeding but if not it's most likely to be left over from the follicle bursting at ovulation - you can spot from that up to four days after OD. Lastly it could be the rise in estrogen causing a tiny bit of lining to shed but that is also harmless.

Sammyclaire22 · 09/05/2020 23:31

Hey guys... I'm 3 or 4dpo and I've had some heavyish spotting- dark red cm. Anyone had similar or know what it might be?
