I need to confess to going bat sht crazy! Every month before my fertile window I get the doubts. How will I cope with pregnancy? What if I've morning sickness or heavily pregnant in the summer? What will I do when I get sick? What will I do when my kid gets sick? What about my back? What about my bipolar? What about work? What if I f*ck up my kid somehow? What about the environmental impact of the over population of the planet? How did I manage to make half of this post bold?!
Anyone else come close to or even exceed this monthly madness? 🙄

musicaljojo · 09/09/2020 20:42

@xTTC2020x It did. I felt really sick that's why I stuck to the seven seas ones.
When I fell pregnant I used to take the seven seas and the boots own ones because halfway through my pregnancy there was supply problems!

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/09/2020 13:25

Thanks @xTTC2020x I hope so too. Good luck with the opk's!
@BellaBella84 haha 🤣 so glad someone said it! I have never ever called it that. Not even my mum has and she's in her 60's 😂
Thanks @Sakura54 yes it's shit 😆 so glad all went well at the scan, onwards and upwards for you now then!

Sakura54 · 09/09/2020 10:23

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm ok thanks for asking. Had a successful 12 week scan this time which was a relief after my last one. Maybe things will be ok. I hope you get some answers soon and get that BFP! Must be so tough trying for this long.

BellaBella84 · 09/09/2020 10:03
@BellaBella84 Would never ever call it Aunt Flow 😂 just say period 🤷🏼‍♀️
🤣

@BellaBella84 Would never ever call it Aunt Flow 😂 just say period 🤷🏼‍♀️

BellaBella84 · 09/09/2020 07:09

Ok I've got to ask. I know this is a forum, and forums love to have their own particular 'in speak'. But has anyone ever actually called their period Aunt Flow? Doubt it's a generational thing as we're all in our 30+s, but is it regional thing? Or did I just grow up in the back and beyond?! 🤣

xTTC2020x · 09/09/2020 00:28

Thanks @musicaljojo will definitely keep that in mind. Did Pregnacare make you ill when you were trying to conceive too?

Sorry to hear about your MC @GingerCalico. Fingers crossed it happens for you soon!

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks for the recommendations. Trip to Holland & Barretts for me I think! Hope you get your BFP soon!

I am CD11 now so going go try and get to grips with the Easy at Home ovulation kit!

notyetamumbuttrying · 07/09/2020 19:12

Thanks @xTTC2020x yeah they are although my local hospital is still not doing routine appointments yet so I'll prob go private for the ultrasound scan once I get my day 3 bloods done. Will book in for those next week, obvs praying I won't have to and get a bfp instead!
I would also recommend coq10 or ubiquinol, it's meant to help egg quality. I've been taking it about 6 months now and obvs not got pregnant but it could be helping things?!
How are you getting on @Sakura54?
Sorry to hear about your MC's @GingerCalico, hopefully you'll get there soon! My friend whose 37 kept getting recurrent CP's and finally got a sticky bean 12 weeks ago so keep the faith.

GingerCalico · 07/09/2020 11:44

May I please join? Im about to turn 35 and feeling a but blue. 2x MC this year. No kids. I know I can conceive but yet to get past 7/8weeks...

Also bummed out that I will be an older mum if I do conceive so I guess i'll have to amp up my diet & exercise!

Were going to start trying again in a few days.

Sakura54 · 07/09/2020 11:31

It's good to see that this thread has been revived. Good luck all!

@Rma13 great that AF finally showed.

AprilLou · 07/09/2020 11:20

Thank you @Rma13 Smile looks like we are in similar places with ttc number 2. We tried SMEP for the first time last month (tbh we weren't far off the plan when trying before anyway) so think we will give that another shot this month.

Rma13 · 07/09/2020 09:36

Welcome @AprilLou I know how you feel!! This group is lovely though and has definitely kept me sane!

AprilLou · 07/09/2020 07:54

Hi everyone, may I join? This looks like a nice group. DH and I are both 35 and TTC #2. DS was super easy to conceive so I niaevely thought number 2 would be the same. Came off the pill in September 2019 and didn't put in too much effort for the first few months. Fast forward to September 2020 and I am POAS twice a day, buying new vitamins every week and over analysing every potential symptom! AF starting today after another unsuccessful cycle so hoping for better luck this month! Smile

musicaljojo · 06/09/2020 21:38

@xttc2020x When I was trying to conceive our ds, I found the seven seas trying to conceive vitamins really good.
I found when I actually was pregnant the pregnacare vitamins made me ill and I've spoken to a lot of other women who said the same.

xTTC2020x · 06/09/2020 18:50

Thank you @Rma13 :)

@notyetamumbuttrying I hope the investigations go well and it happens for you soon! Are the investigations taking place with your GP?

I came off the pill in Jan but we didn't start trying until March as I had started a new job and wanted to wait til I'd been there long enough to be entitled to the full mat pay... I naively thought it might happen straight away! We're approaching 6 months of trying now, I've been tracking ovulation with clearblue digital tests, and have just ordered the Easy at Home ovulation and pregnancy testing kits.

I'm wondering whether to ask the gp to check my levels to see if I coud do with taking any other vitamins. I'm currently taking Pregnacare which has folic acid and zinc. Are there any others anyone would recommend?

Rma13 · 06/09/2020 17:39

Hi @nervousnoob we are ttc #2 we tried for 5 years for our DS eventually got pregnant when i was 25. He was so worth it and is perfect imo but we would so love another! We've been trying for a year now for baby #2

nervousnoob · 06/09/2020 17:33

Is there anyone who's TTC#2? How long did it take first time around for you? I don't know what we are doing wrong? My periods are fairly regular. We DTD every other day in my fertile period. (I was never on the pill) it's been 4 months we have been trying, and we are both 33.

nervousnoob · 06/09/2020 16:16

Hi everyone - nice to know of this group :)
My husband and I are both 33. We have been TTC baby no 1 since May this year, finally. Never been on the pill. It's such a mentally excruciating journey :(

notyetamumbuttrying · 06/09/2020 16:09

@xTTC2020x very similar to me! Also 34, Dh 37. Ttc #1 but it's been a year now! I hope it doesn't take long for you, it's very tiring and frustrating now, I just want it to happen. We've started investigations now and my first set of bloods was normal, get Dh's SA result next week!

Rma13 · 06/09/2020 11:11

@xTTC2020x welcome! And yes there is plenty of support in here! Good luck on your ttc journey!

xTTC2020x · 05/09/2020 17:20

Hi everyone..Hope its OK to join. Best of luck to everyone ttc!

I'm 34 and my DH is 37. We are ttc #1. We have been trying since March/April. I wish I'd found these forums earlier. So much advice and support to be gained!

notyetamumbuttrying · 03/09/2020 14:42
