I'm 33 in may and currently on cycle 22! First time trying and I'm getting a bit frustrated now! Some months we definitely didn't put the effort in but I'm a bit miffed it's taking so long! We will be off to the doc if we haven't caught once all this madness stops Confused

babyG123 · 26/04/2020 21:39

@LAG1986 3 fingers crossed for you!!!
My son is 14 months and was a mini pill baby so a unexpected gift. Feel lucky not have have had the worry and concern. Feeling super hopefully but on the first month of trying!!

@Vividdreamer88 of course, welcome and sorry for your loss.

Really hope this is a positive baby dust thread!!!!

Can I join as well? I am 31 planning on starting next TTC month. I had an early miscarriage and need to wait until next cycle to start trying again. Good luck everyone!

LAG1986 · 26/04/2020 21:11

@babyG123 hopefully haha. I feel like I have been really naive and taken things for granted. My 1st 2 children were conceived straight away. Now it's taking me a few months and seeing everyone else stories, I see how truly lucky I was before. But I'm holding out and hoping that 33 3 3 is my lucky number!! X

babyG123 · 26/04/2020 20:45

@LAG1986 that's a lot of 3's! Hopefully a lucky number.

@Mermaidlagoon I have no idea! Not very clued up on cycles etc. I know stress can affect them? And so can the prenatal vitamins?

Hi ladies. I'm 33 ttc number 3. 3rd cycle in. X

Mermaidlagoon · 26/04/2020 20:20

Hello everyone :) second cycle trying. Bit concerned about my cycles as they used to be 27-28 days but have gradually been getting shorter like half a day or so at a time and they are now 25 days. I ovulated day 9 which is very early right? I know I probably have been reading too much considering how early I am in the journey but I read a short follicular phase and cycles getting shorter can mean aging ovaries? I'm only 30 though. Just have this feeling it won't be easy for me.

gb000 · 26/04/2020 20:20

@babyG123 aww that is so sweet, thank you - yes I do! My last period started 23 March so online calculators are putting me at 3+2 or so. AF is due in 5 days so think I will feel a bit anxious until that date has passed even tho I know that is not logical! Thank you 🤗

babyG123 · 26/04/2020 19:52

@gb000 just was thinking of you and wondered if you know you add 2 weeks to the clear blue which makes you 3-4 weeks xx

@fifi1989 totally know what you mean - as soon as we started trying I was impatient! Even harder with long cycles...I think staying distracted is good! Wishing you all the very best of luck!!

fifi1989 · 26/04/2020 16:20

@gb000 I've only just started temping yesterday. I've had a peak on OPKs in the last two cycles on CD26, but no BFP yet ufortunately. Late ovulation (at least I think i'm ovulating...) and long cycles are so frustrating when it seems like everyone else has perfect 28 day cycles with ovulation on CD14! Think i'm just getting impatient :) It's our 3rd cycle trying so still early-ish days I guess.

Huge congrats to you! x

gb000 · 26/04/2020 14:14

Thank you girls! Honestly so in shock. For some reason I never thought it would happen.

@fifi1989, I think I ovulated on cd24. But to be honest this is the first month I've ever had a peak on OPK - all other months the strips have gotten dark but not darker than control line, and last month my clearblue never went beyond flashing smiley. But I know I O'd at least one of those months bc a scan confirmed it. So I wouldn't trust OPKs 100%! Do you track CM and temp?

babyG123 · 26/04/2020 13:58

@gb000 wooohoooooo! So happy for you xxx

fifi1989 · 26/04/2020 13:56

Oh my gosh congratulations @gb000 !! Amazing!

Do you know when you ovulated this cycle? My cycles are long too, 36-39 days and I ovulate really late. On CD23 today and still no peak on OPKs.

Thank you all :(. It’s been tough and weird x

gb000 · 26/04/2020 09:11

@shell welcome! Yes, I am finding it hard not to get obsessive every month. I am trying to stop googling every little thing which has helped.

Speaking of which...I usually don't POAS until closer to my period (I'm 11DPO & have another 5 days before AF due...). Does this look like a faint line to you ladies!?
