@gb000 I think hcg is meant to double every 2-3 days so don't expect the line to get darker straight away. Maybe test 1-2 per week? Don't do it forever though, there's something called the hook effect at 6 or 7 (from memory, don't quote me lol) where the tests will start to fade or look negative because there's too much hcg in the sample.

babyG123 · 28/04/2020 06:49

@gb000 congratulations! I'd assume its to do with your hydration and the quantity of hcg passing in your urine? Probably a hormone thing.

@ttclou congratulations!

@Juno231, those look better than my Femometer readings ever did!

Girls can I ask your opinion? Should my dip tests be getting darker every day? Sunday's BFP was v light, yesterday's a bit darker. But today is about the same if not a bit lighter than yday. A FRER still confirms pregnancy today but I'm obviously worried about the darkness of the lines...any wisdom?

@babyG123 @Lb603 I do love those apps, I think I'd be lost without them! I use femometer (any LH strip should work though, think I got 50 for £9.99 on amazon). Last cycle attached as an example :)

Got my static smiley today on my clear blue advanced digital, we did the deed the last two nights and will tonight and tomorrow and probably the next day. fingers and toes crossed! This is cycle 22 for me! I'm on cycle day 19. I know it seems a lot and most people say every other day but I'm also finding around this time I'm just so in the mood! Husband is loving it 😂

@babyG123 oooh that looks handy, what do I search to find the kit?
I'm normally a 29 day cycle, but i was 5 days late last month. I think it was just due to stress at work. So I ovulated a few days sooner than ovia calculated this month. Luckily I had a few spare OPKs so caught it, I've been thinking about temping, does anyone do that?

babyG123 · 27/04/2020 20:00

@TTClou congratulations!!!!
Do you mind me asking how long you were trying etc 👶🏼🥰 Love a good baby story!

@Juno231 welcome! Sometimes it's nice to be able to make different Mummy friends too just remember that! I have a group of girls from DS1 who are amazing!

Hi can I hop on the bus? I'm 32 and on cycle 4 of TTC for #1!
All my friends seem to either be pregnant or have just given birth and I swear they all made it happen on cycle 1 or 2. Very frustrating to not have joined them yet, especially as I always fantasised about shared mat leave with good friends.

Although I'm only 32 my mother went into early menopause at 31 and her grandmother at 30 so I do worry about having left it too late. Did an AMH test last year that came up on the low end of normal but then I sort of don't know what to do with that information now... So I'm plodding along!

On CD10 right now, due to ovulate on CD13 so busy with DTD!

TTClou · 27/04/2020 17:12

I'm 36, good luck to you all xx

Hello, can I join?
I'm 31 and ttc. Currently on cycle 6, ovulated on Saturday so 2dpo atm. It's really difficult to not get disheartened every month when I see the BFN.
Congratulations @gb000 wonderful news Flowers

Firefly22 · 27/04/2020 09:16

Morning! I am 14 weeks pregnant and honestly think by taking certain supplements really helped...COQ10 and Folic Acid as recommended in Luisa Zissman's blog www.luisazissman.co.uk/?p=647.

They have really good reviews and so just thought I would suggest as an extra helping hand as TTC sometimes you feel like you need all the luck you can get! :)

Hi all I'll join I'm 31 and on our 9th cycle of trying for out first. It sure has been an emotional rollercoaster with 2 chemical pregnancies along the way but these things happen trying to stay positive. Good luck to you all 🤞🏼🍀 x

babyG123 · 27/04/2020 00:06

My cycles are all over the place since DS1 but I have to say I bought the easy at home kit off of amazon and it links to the premom app. I feel like I had a good idea of things this month. You take a picture of the test and it plots it on a graph to find your peak if not helps. Only cheap too!

Hey, another newbie here, can I join too?
I'm 36 and TTC our 1st Smile.
Only recently started trying to track my cycles as they can vary somewhat month to month. Bought some OPK's too just to try as well.
Good luck to everyone Grin

hayho87 · 26/04/2020 23:31

@babyG123 my cycles range anywhere from 32 days to 49! It drives me insane, I'll go through a few months of somewhat regular to then have a really long one! No idea why! I came off the nexplanon In 2018, it was my second one and before that I had been on the pill for about 10 years x

babyG123 · 26/04/2020 23:08

@hayho87 welcome. Do you have short cycles? Just wondering roughly time wise how long it been. Hopefully lockdown and working hard at it will bring you luck 🤞🏼🤞🏼
