Hi all, joining in for the first time. I'm 35, currently 6 or 7 DPO, third cycle trying for #2. Fell pregnant virtually straight away the first time so already a bit dissapointed that it hasn't happened for us yet - which is a bit silly, but TTC is such an emotional roller coaster, it feels like forever already.

gb000 · 01/05/2020 06:25

Welcome ladies!

I'm an idiot and tested again today...should I be worried that today's at 16dpo is not darker than 15dpo (and about the same as 13dpo)? My one step didn't fade from yesterday's but my frer seems to have. I have doubling bloods booked for Mon and Weds - I'm going to be so sad if it fades to nothing 😔

Hi there! Jumping on this bus too!
I'm 31 (32 this month) TTC for 9 months! I find it so frustrating! I have read a few messages here and there and I feel the same when it comes to things like everyone around seems to fall pregnant like that even 2 of my friends accidentally got pregnant and I have been waiting for so long 😭 it's nerve wrecking...

Started a new cycle now, waiting for ovulation, I'm still trying to figure out my cycles, they are very irregular, not so much length (between 25-33) but my ovulation never seem to happen around the same day, also my luteal phase seems to only be between 10-11 days, so not sure if it's bad or not.... I suspect having PCOS...

Trying for first baby, how about you guys? Smile

LAG1986 · 30/04/2020 23:26

I'm wishing all you ladies so much luck. I was pretty naive going in to try for number 3. My 1st 2 children happened straight away (1st was a bit of a surprise baby). Have a new partner now. On cycle 4 now of ttc as just had a visit from af who arrived unexpectedly 3 days early. Not normal at all for me. So now back to working out when my next ovulation days will be. X

CurbsideProphet · 30/04/2020 21:58

@MrsTtobe always very regular cycles. I've had 2 chemical pregnancies in the first 5 cycles of trying. I'm in the 2ww of #6. It's hard to keep chipper about it when everywhere you look there are babies! I saw your post about miscarrying. I'm sorry that happened to you. I also thought I would have had my baby in 2020.

MrsTtobe · 30/04/2020 21:15

Hi @CurbsideProphet how are you getting on? Are your cycles regular etc?

@2020wish sorry for being dumb, what's LH results mean? 🤔 I've never tried ovulation sticks or tempting because I know I would become even more obsessed. Im pretending that im laid back with it all. 🙄
It just seems so far away at the minute. I was due end of Oct, I was all set for a new addition in 2020 😢 x

CurbsideProphet · 30/04/2020 13:13

7 dpo in cycle 6 for me. Ttc #1 and I'm nearly 35. I'm glad to see some positive stories already. I'm up and down with it.

2020wish · 30/04/2020 12:29

@mrsttobe I’m
Hoping it’s a good sign. Yes I had a lovely break out of spots all over my chin :( sucks to be a woman lol

Starting LH test strips yesterday (day after I stopped bleeding) it was a high result. Today was a negative result. I’m
Right I’m thinking yesterday’s
Result was just hcg still left in my system as that can cause positive Lh results? And today’s results should be right? My body back on track lol oh god I still can’t believe this has happened. Everyone is texting me asking how I am and it’s nice but I just dunno what to text back, do I keep texting back I feel rubbish or do I lie and say I’m ok. Then they write saying oh maybe you should leave it a few months before ttc again.. which makes me feel like I’m
Wrong to keep trying

MrsTtobe · 30/04/2020 11:51

@2020wish aww our stories sound so similar.
Definitely a positive that you are getting caught so quickly. How you feeling now? Ive had a lovely outbreak of spots (like I haven't been through enough) and I'm just hoping it's a sign my hormones are doing something productive. 🤣
Yes we will, it's so nice to chat to women in the same boat isn't it. Makes me feel so much better. We can go through the ups and downs together each month. ❤

2020wish · 30/04/2020 11:42

@MrsTtobe I feel you . I was on the pill when I feel pregnant with my daughter. Didn’t joy want a baby then, only with her dad 9 months but she’s here and she’s perfect. This baby we are ttc is so wanted right now, we even pushed our wedding back a year to so we could ttc. We caught on jan and few days later tests neg and af came and then in March, but sadly only got to 6+2 :( trying everything imaginable ttc. Feels like forever. We will get our babies

MrsTtobe · 30/04/2020 07:12

@2020wish we started trying Oct, then I got caught end of January. It doesn't sound like a long time but it felt like an eternity every month. My periods are pretty regular... 26-28 days so I'm just hoping everything with my cycle goes back to normal. 🙏
Ive got 2 children. A 14 year old from a previous relationship and a 2 year old. They were both unplanned and I fell pregnant on the pill with my eldest. Then this one we really desperately wanted, actively tried for, I take all the vitamins etc and it ends in miscarriage. 😢 x

babyG123 · 30/04/2020 07:06

@gb000 100% cant deny that. Congratulations xxx 💐

OK ladies, what do you think...tested again this morning (15dpo) & my FRER looks broadly the same as it did on 13Dpo...maybe a smidge darker?? Thoughts? Pics are 13Dpo at top and today's at bottom!

The good thing is I also tested on OneStep & Sainsbury's & those were way darker then the weekend so I'm hoping that means my levels are going up?? Argh! Such a mental game...

@KatieK1985 it's so frustrating isn't it! Are you seeking any advice from your gp? That's my plan after lockdown if we don't catch before then xx

gb000 · 29/04/2020 21:29

@Babyboom1990 haha yeah I mean I would call and just see what they recommend. Yes I'm going to test tomorrow with a FRER and hopefully see a darker line. Wish me luck, I feel extremely nervous which is kinda weird. I think I just can't believe it still 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Babyboom1990 no not at all. My gynae offered me the option and I originally said no on Monday morning when we spoke but then when I got a fainter line on Monday night (I think bc of diluted urine or at least I hope...) I changed my mind. He said they really weren't essential but you can do them for peace of mind to show that your HCG levels are at an appropriate stage for the week of pregnancy you're in. Or you can do two 48 hrs apart to check they're rising. But that starts to get even more ££ cos I'm not sure the NHS will do that for you if you aren't high risk...

@Babyboom1990 totally, it's a weird time. My doc said that lots of private blood test places, if you can do that, are able to get you in & out super quick so less waiting around. I'm probably going to take that option even though it's obviously more ££...

gb000 · 29/04/2020 18:11

@Babyboom1990 are you going to get bloods done? Think I'm going to go on Monday (assuming a test before then doesn't reveal the lines getting lighter/disappearing, touch wood)

2020wish · 29/04/2020 18:08

@MrsTtobe yes I’ve started temping from today .
I’m 31, 32 this year. I have a 9 year old daughter to an ex partner. We have been ttc our first together from November. I feel my clock is running out also as I started my period at 7 :( so I’m expecting menopause a lot sooner. Plus I want to have a new baba in my early 30s so I can enjoy them more and my daughter is begging for a new sibling. My wedding is also booked for 2 years away so I want to have a baby before then with enough time to get back in shape for my dress lol I’ve put so much pressure on myself. How about you? Have you anymore?

@Babyboom1990 aww so happy for you!!! I wish you the healthiest pregnancy !

@2020wish do you think you will start ttc straight away again then? Keeping my fingers crossed for us both? Is it your first baby? How old are you? Im 35 and feel like I'm quickly running out of time.
I know I will be paying for a scan every week. 😂 x
