I'm CD1 of cycle 2 TTC #1 so thought I'd start a new thread for anybody in the same situation who didn't get their April BFP.

I had a MMC found on a scan at 9.5weeks after seeing HB at 7 weeks 🙁 I had SMM on the 19th March but no luck in my first month and AF got me today. Normal cycles are 28days so I hope to be testing around the 20th May. This month I will be tracking ovulation using CB connected and trying out Preseed for the first time hoping this helps towards my 🌈 but tonight I'll just be having a G&T 💁🏾‍♀️

@Lynz2020 hello and welcome to the board. Oh to miscarry a day before your scan how cruel! I’m so sorry for your loss.
I mc middle of March at nine weeks. Also did it without needing medical management like you. It was horrible. Hoping you find some comfort in this board. I heard you can ovulate two weeks after. I’m not sure if it can happen earlier. Go ahead and try again if you feel ready. I tried again straight away but everyone is different.

Girls feeling a bit down today. My friend found out the gender of their baby. And I felt really low and jealous. I hate feeling like this. I feel like I can’t move on in my life or feel happy for people or at peace. Anyone else feel like thar sometimes? I’m still trying to wean my son to help with ttc. His dad is putting him to bed. I’ve gone from don’t offer don’t refuse to trying to distract him when he asks. It was going so well for a day but tonight he’s getting really upset with my husband and that’s also making me feel like crap! Tired of feeling so conflicted! Sad

Quail15 · 20/04/2020 13:36

@lynz2020. I'm sorry about your misscarrage it is an awful thing to go through. I had a scan at 7 weeks that showed my baby had stopped growing at 5 weeks. It is heartbreaking.

I got a positive opk a few days after my pregnancy test turned negative so it is possible. My cycle after my misscarrage was very short. I'm hoping that as I'm starting into my 2nd cycle things get back to normal. I wish you all the best X x

Lynz2020 · 20/04/2020 12:57

I had a missed miscarriage last Wednesday a day before my 12 week scan, was told the baby died at 8 weeks and a few days when I was examined. I think everything came out on Wednesday too over 3 hours, stopped bleeding yesterday (the whole time frame would have been my period dates) took a test today which was negative and took an ovulation test which was positive. I dont know if my body is playing tricks on me or I should start trying again.

VP91x · 19/04/2020 16:44

@SmileyT I am going to do some more review searching on SMEP later for sure. Such an obsessive googler, lol. Yeah as soon as flow starts to reduce I'm going to start testing. Don't want to miss it again this month. Xx

SmileyT · 19/04/2020 16:12

@VP91x yay we'll be in it together 🙌🏾 support each other through, as you ovulate around CD9/10 will you test as soon as soon as AF finishes? CB app is telling me to start testing on 27th and I'm expecting peak on the 3rd. Until the 27th I guess it's just another waiting game - I've spent all day reading reviews on SMEP 😂

@ttcin2020 I have never had it smudge like that before definitely looks like a dodgy one, hopefully just a one off.

Mommybear05 · 19/04/2020 15:54

@ttcin2020 I’ve only just used opks last cycle and didn’t get on with them so not too experienced but that doesn’t look quite right to me. Yes maybe dodgy. What are the reviews like??

VP91x · 19/04/2020 15:24

@SmileyT yeah I think I'll try SMEP this month too, seems to make sense! Wondering whether I should the CB alongside the OPKs I have a few sticks left so I won't buy any extra. I'll do a count and see how many I have x

ttcin2020 · 19/04/2020 15:21

@EJb86 I'd never had this happen until today! Exactly the same and the same brand too.. very strange. Maybe a dodgy batch?

Mommybear05 · 19/04/2020 15:11

@TerribleImagination yay glad you got your peak! So exciting Grin

Mommybear05 · 19/04/2020 15:10

@Geepipe not doing anything particular with my diet. I’m taking the seven seas ttc vitamins and also vitex to help regulate my cycles. I’m limiting my caffeine too x

SmileyT · 19/04/2020 15:07

@Geepipe I definitely haven't added anything to my diet, but I am trying to lose some lockdown weight so any suggestions on healthy things I should add to my shopping list I'll take.

@VP91x I'm the same as you... trying to do everything perfect this month even though I know it doesn't guarantee anything. Do you put your bum on a pillow after DTD... think I'm going to go SMEP this month. Every other day from CD8 then when I get a positive opk 3 days in a row, one day off and then final BD for good measure. Feel like it's a lot after a positive but thought there was no harm trying it.

@Ejb86 I used the cheapies these month, and found they were hard to read as they got stronger but easier using an app to decipher (I used femometer) I'd say that the strip in the pic is looking pretty near to positive now so maybe you'll peak later today. I'll be using the cheapies alongside CB connected and temping this month aswell. When you temped did you take it orally?

Glad you got your peak @TerribleImagination time to get the deed done 💁‍♀️

OP posts:
TerribleImagination · 19/04/2020 14:51

@Ejb86 I’ve never used the cheapies, tried them alongside clear blue once but couldn’t decipher them at all! I think your luteal phase is supposed to roughly the same each month, so hopefully late ovulation will only mean a longer cycle in general? That’s what I’m hoping for me anyway! Got my peak today. Was all grumpy cos my DP went out for a run, but I couldn’t do my workout or go for a walk cos I was holding a wee in for 4 hours so I could retest at 2! 😂 Nice one hormones 😆

Ejb86 · 19/04/2020 14:22

@TerribleImagination I'm still waiting for ov too! I hate that I'm CD18 and nothing yet. Means my LP will be a max of 10 days, not the best length by any stretch!

Have decided that if I'm unlucky this cycle, I'm going back to tempting which I did when I conceived my son and will purchase a clearblue fertility kit, rather than my cheapies.

Is it just me that has this happen with the cheapies?

Geepipe · 19/04/2020 14:05

Thank you ladies. I feel ok but a bit nervous as im worried that a 2nd one means theres something wrong with me :(

Has anyone been adding anything to their diets to help?

VP91x · 19/04/2020 13:32

@SmileyT yeah, I am hoping I can get it pinpointed this month and have a better understanding of it. Last month was definitely a wild guess xx

VP91x · 19/04/2020 13:09

@Geepipe sorry that you're currently going through another loss 😔 xx

I will add the juice to my shopping also. I will give anything ago!

@Mommybear05 yay! Less is more with that stuff it can be alot.

Mommybear05 · 19/04/2020 12:19

@geepipe sorry for your losses that’s so sad that you are going through a loss twice. Big hugs. But I’m glad we can share our ttc journey together ❤️

So girls I just persuaded my hubby to get some pre seed. I ordered the 75ml tube on amazon and a couple of first response tests for this cycle too ❤️❤️🌈🤞

Geepipe · 19/04/2020 11:52

Im finding half a cup of grapefruit juice topped up with lemonade is making it so much more palatable as well. Its supposed to make cm more watery and tbf it worked for me in the past although sods law i was with my ex then lol

Geepipe · 19/04/2020 11:51

Thanks op hope this is all our month :) i use the clue app which is pretty accurate for me as my cycles vary by 10 days so i always know the ballpark for where i am :) i always seem to ovulate a week after period so i dont use opks as i would confuse myself and end up missing it knowing me lol.

SmileyT · 19/04/2020 11:44

Hi again @TerribleImagination ooh I'm really interested in extra vitamins I've been taking 20mg, might look into upping mine if it helps with fertility. Hope you see your peak soon 🤞

@Mommybear05 definitely no full flow poking 😂

@VP91 ahh this makes sense about early ovulation, my LP is 12-14days aswell so maybe that's okay.

@ttcin2020 i'm just in first AF post MC and totally understand wanting to feel like you are doing something after a loss and I've definitely seen people go on to conceive 2 weeks after so it's definitely worth a shot.

@Geepipe sorry for your losses and what you are currently going through. Was you tracking when you got pg? I'll add grapefruit juice to my OHs shopping list and hoping this will be your month after all you've been through in the last 6 months x

OP posts:
Geepipe · 19/04/2020 11:16

Oh i heard drinking grapefruit juice every day helps CM so i have started that yesterday and have preseed as well :)

Geepipe · 19/04/2020 11:14

Hi all sorry for your losses. I had a miscarriage at 11.5 in november now im in the middle of a chemical so bleeding clots heavily. As it arrived around normal period time online seems to suggest treating it like a normal period so i will ttc right after this is done so hopefully 2 weeks of dtd and see what happens.

Mommybear05 · 19/04/2020 11:10

@ttcin2020 welcome to the group. Sorry for your loss. I’m sure you’ve already read but it’s possible to ovulate as soon as two weeks post mc so you have a shot I’m sure! Good luck x

ttcin2020 · 19/04/2020 11:05

Hiii everyone!!
I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks recently. Got my first clearly negative HPT yesterday and really looking forward to some sign of ovulation/AF/anything at all so I can start to make sense of my body again. I'm doing OPKs every day and have done since the bleeding stopped (I know they can pick of HCG so probably was very pointless but it makes me feel like I am doing something!)

I know it takes time for everything to settle down but I keep getting told it's the most fertile time, it's so conflicting in my mind. But I'm so looking forward to trying again and hopefully getting that BFP for a 2021 baby.

Best of luck to all of you ladies too, hoping May is the month🤞🏻

Mommybear05 · 19/04/2020 10:53

@TerribleImagination hello again! Cd 17 is such an exciting time! Enjoy that bd! Good luck. Xx
