I'm CD1 of cycle 2 TTC #1 so thought I'd start a new thread for anybody in the same situation who didn't get their April BFP.

I had a MMC found on a scan at 9.5weeks after seeing HB at 7 weeks 🙁 I had SMM on the 19th March but no luck in my first month and AF got me today. Normal cycles are 28days so I hope to be testing around the 20th May. This month I will be tracking ovulation using CB connected and trying out Preseed for the first time hoping this helps towards my 🌈 but tonight I'll just be having a G&T 💁🏾‍♀️

@VP91x oh mine have been between 35.9 and 36.1 so maybe not that crazy I just keep comparing it to the perfectly straight line on the femometer app. I've been doing mine about 5.45am everyday as that's just when my body seems to wake up even though alarm is set for 8.45. Even though mine varied a lot last month when I started it still showed a jump after ovulation so I guess that's the main thing 👌🏾

@SmileyT I got it because it was still on prime delivery on Amazon otherwise I might have opted for a cheaper one, but actually love that it syncs up and logs it for you.

My temps have been between 35.8-36.2 for the last few days. I normally temp between 05:30-06:00 when my little one wakes up. It seems quite accurate? What have yours been like? Xx

SmileyT · 23/04/2020 16:54

@Hayleylou89 I'm sure I read on one of my apps that it's normal for them to vary by up to 10 days before they are something to worry about. I'd consider mine to be pretty regular but they are sometimes a few days shorter and sometimes a few days longer, shortest 25 and longest 43 over the last 12 months. I've considered for myself that it may be to do with diet and exercise aswell... as I can be quite aggressive with the gym and apparently that affects hormones. But definitely ring your GP if you are worried better to get checked out 😊

@Hayleylou89 you could and ask to be referred to a gynaecologist. It can take years for people to have endo diagnosed which is a real shame I was just one of the lucky ones. Xx

Hayleylou89 · 23/04/2020 16:45

@HE88

Oh wow, i might have it!! ...only yesterday i was looking through my hosp notes and noticed they picked up a cyst on my right ovary on my scan, however i dnt have really heavy sore periods either just normal id say.

I literally want to be checked for this, should i contact my GP? X

HE88 · 23/04/2020 16:36

@Hayleylou89 the common symptoms are very heavy periods and painful which I didn't have, painful yes but not extreme and my periods were never heavy in fact they were very light. A baby scan wouldn't pick it up it can only be diagnosed by laparoscopy (key hole surgery). I had no idea I had it until I got referred to a fertility clinic and they picked up a cyst on my right ovary which they were treating as an endometrioma another common trait of endo.
I really hope you don't have endo but that's they only thing I can think of for me that was causing my crazy cycles. Xx

Hayleylou89 · 23/04/2020 16:28

@HE88
Iv never really took notice at the length of them to be honest as we started trying in sept and fell in Sept so we were avoiding pregnancy before the. But i was still using natural cycles to avoid pregnancy and its just all over the place... i hope i dont have endo... would i have other symtoms though isnt it painful and would it have been picked up on the baby scans maybe ? Xx

Donnat89 · 23/04/2020 16:21

I was Going to try track BBT but I'm
So bad At remembering to take
It before I get up .

I'm going with femometer just because I've not used OPKS before and it seems this app with the strips will make it better

@Hayleylou89 I've no advice as
My cycles are the same always put be a few days either side so I'm thinking I'm probably missing ovulation some how so I need to track and see if I do ovulate on the same
Day or if there is something else going on

At least once this covid is over I can then show it to my GP who hopefully can give me some advice on what's going on !

I hope this month is a lucky month for everyone !

Xxxx

HE88 · 23/04/2020 16:18

Aw @Donnat89 and @Hayleylou89 sorry to see you both here big hugs to you both.

@Hayleylou89 my cycles have been like yours since I came off the pill back in November 2017 when I decided to try for baby #2. It was very frustrating it turns out I have endometriosis and I had a laparoscopy in October 2019 then I fell pregnant in December 2019 so I can't really judge my cycles as such but I was 5 weeks for period after mmc, then 28 days which I have never been. I'm not 100% sure if my cycles were that way because of the endo or not but all my hormone levels were normal so who knows. Xx

SmileyT · 23/04/2020 16:10

@VP91 I was tempted to get the femometer, I bought mine before I had the app but not finding them super consistent - you temping orally?

Sorry to see more ladies join for May but we've all got this... I'm throwing everything into this month but also deciding that whatever will be will be. I'd love to get pregnant now but if it doesn't happen that's okay. I don't want to look back on this year and think I didn't appreciate any time with my DP. I have faith that it will happen in time for us all ❤️

@VP91x @Mommybear05 @Donnat89

I literally feel like its been the longest TWW and still no AF just wish she would come now so i can start a fresh... hopefully by tomorrow 🙏... cd 39 😴

Just looked at all my past cycles and theres just no pattern to them wish i just had an average cycle length... wierdly my shortest cycle was the month before conceiving and we only decided to try and conceive in the sept after our honeymoon

Does anyone know why my cycles might be like this and how i can regulate them? X

@Donnat89 yes it’s good for you to track your cycles I hope it will ease some of that 2ww anxiety for you.
@Hayleylou89 ah sorry about your negative! I feel like you’ve been waiting forever in this 2ww or is it just me 🙈

Ah yes we’re in this together now. Baby dust to everyone 🤞🌈 xxx

VP91x · 23/04/2020 14:30

Ah no @Hayleylou89 sorry that it also wasn't your month. But yes, lots of baby dust to us for this month. When is your AF due? Xx

Donnat89 · 23/04/2020 14:20

@VP91x I have never used them as always been Like clock work but I've had a few off cycles now and it's making life difficult as I can never say for certain when i ovulated appears can't ever really say if AF is late or not .

I'm hoping by using them it will give me a better idea , will also help us with the SMEP
plan so we will be maximising our chances this cycle .

@Hayleylou89 sorry for the BFN , was hoping you may get a BFP ! Least we are all in this together so let's hope May is a better month for us all

Xxxx

Hayleylou89 · 23/04/2020 12:50

Hey Girls, Im Jumping on this thread like @Donnat89 from the April Thread BFN and Temp drop tells me AF is imminent 👎 so here i am xxx wishing us all some baby dust for May xx

VP91x · 23/04/2020 11:44

@Donnat89 just got to keep positive for this month!

I am using femometer kit too this month. Hopefully it pinpoints OV easily! I've not used the test strips for a full cycle before x

Donnat89 · 23/04/2020 11:35

@VP91x thanks hun , I was hoping it was a good news month but not to be

I've ordered a femometer kit so going to track ovulation and try the SMEP plan . As
My Periods have been late last 2
Months now and it's not helping so I need to see exactly when I'm ovulating to at least make the 2 week wait a bit easier !

Good luck to everyone this cycle ! I hope to see some BFPS this month! X

VP91x · 23/04/2020 11:17

Ah @Donnat89 I am sorry that you are on the May thread. I was following your messages on the other thread and was so hopeful for you. Sending you a big hug. At least its only a few days until you can start trying again xx

Donnat89 · 23/04/2020 10:37

@Mommybear05 no AF has shown up today in full flow too so I'm really not sure if it was a faulty test or I've had a chemical .

I feel gutted as felt like I was
So close ! At least I have these threads to help keep me sane !

Its put me off early testing so much so this cycle the plan is not to test until missed AF , I doubt ol hold out that long but I can try

Me and OH doing SMEP plan this month see how that works ! Xxx

Mommybear05 · 23/04/2020 10:07

@Donnat89 oh no I mean this in the nicest way but I really didn’t want to see you here. So the line from the other test didn’t get darker? 😔 aw big hugs! We’re in this together like you say 🤞 for some bfps this month. Sending lots of hugs your way xxx

Donnat89 · 23/04/2020 10:00

Hi ladies , CD1 here so I'm taking my seat on the May bus fingers crossed
For some BFPS this month xxxx

VP91x · 23/04/2020 09:57

@Mommybear05 I will definitely look into it, anything to get my cycles regular but hopefully won't need for much longer!

No sign aside from the tiny bits of spotting every so often, no cramps or anything so odd!

Ah exciting that you can start trying, is your little one still doing well with the weaning? X

Mommybear05 · 23/04/2020 09:51

@vp91x I discovered it when I was looking into how to bring cycles back when breastfeeding. It’s a supplement you can take to help regulate your cycles and lengthen your luteal phase. I got mine off Amazon. I had no period whilst bf and then I took that and period came back. Can’t be sure that this is definitely the cause as my son started sttn at the same time but I’m still taking it now. And my cycle was 31 days post mc and stuff so I’m not sure if it’s that that’s helping.
Any sign of af today?
I’m good thanks I’m just reading you can ovulate pretty soon after stopping bf so we’re not taking any chances this month! X

VP91x · 23/04/2020 09:43

@Mommybear05 no I haven't heard of that! How have you been getting on with it? How are you today? Xx

Mommybear05 · 23/04/2020 09:18

@vp91x glad to hear that you are feeling positive thar your cycle is getting longer. Have you heard of vitex. I’ve been using it to help regulate my cycles while breastfeeding and weaning. Might help with regulating cycles? But it sounds like your cycle is sorting itself out anyway now xx
