I'm CD1 of cycle 2 TTC #1 so thought I'd start a new thread for anybody in the same situation who didn't get their April BFP.

I had a MMC found on a scan at 9.5weeks after seeing HB at 7 weeks 🙁 I had SMM on the 19th March but no luck in my first month and AF got me today. Normal cycles are 28days so I hope to be testing around the 20th May. This month I will be tracking ovulation using CB connected and trying out Preseed for the first time hoping this helps towards my 🌈 but tonight I'll just be having a G&T 💁🏾‍♀️

Morning @Donnat89 👋🏻 CD24 here, about 6DPO... (7 days since getting a positive OPK). Been having mild cramping for a few days, which has been strange... I had a short cycle last month (24 days) but ovulated on CD13 then, so just hoping that because I ovulated later this cycle (on CD18) that it’ll still be a normal luteal phase 🤞🏻 I’m still taking 100mg of B6 every day so crossing everything for a BFP this month! 🤞🏻 This is my 4th full cycle since the MC in December, but 5th try as we starting trying again straight after the MC.

VP91x · 26/04/2020 12:00

Morning @Donnat89 all OK here just waiting for AF to start. I had spotting/light flow a few days ago which I thought was the beginning but nothing since. On CD29 now which is the longest post MC cycle I have had. How are you? X

Donnat89 · 26/04/2020 11:38

Morning how is everyone this morning? CD4 for me so I'm just waiting to start doing OPKS now ready to start again !

Wishing everyone luck this month ! X

VP91x · 26/04/2020 09:44

Hi @Niisa it is positive that you got your cycle back on time post MC. It definitely is refreshing to get a new start and cycle. Glad you are feeling well x

Niisa · 26/04/2020 02:22

Hey ladies! Moving over from the April thread. AF got me today but I’m actually really glad (sorry if that sounds insensitive). AF came bang on 4 weeks after MC, my cycles have always been regular. After over a week of brown discharge when wiping, I had the heaviest first day of AF.

Here’s to a new cycle, a new start and a shit load of BFPs in May for us all Flowers

Sho2207 · 25/04/2020 19:08

@SmileyT
Thank you! The second one looks a tad faint compared to the top one so I'd say I've had my surge. Glad I caught it ☺️ being in isolation has definitely helped with dtd 😂
Fingers crossed it happens this month, although I'd be very lucky to seeing as I only had a MC just over two weeks ago but we can only hope and think positive!
Hope you're doing well with your journey ❤️

SmileyT · 25/04/2020 18:24

Hi @Sho2207 the top one definitely looks positive to me, so looks like you had your surge already. Generally when you get your surge it's 12-24hrs before ovulation and therefore you are most fertile today and tomorrow. But you fertile period starts a few days before your surge... if you've been DTD every other day you are well covered. Hope this is your month and you get your BFP ❤️

Hey ladies, quick question if somebody doesn't mind having a quick chat. I took these opk's today and got these results, top one is from around 2pm and bottom is from around 5.30pm. Would anyone say this is around positive?
The tests from when I last conceived look quite similar from the picture on my phone but without actually having them in front of me I can't tell 100%.
Me and OH have been dtd every other night because we just don't know when/if I get a positive, shall we start dtd every night for the next couple days now? Am I now in my fertile window?
I haven't got myself an app or anything because when I had my MMC I deleted it all out of grief and just haven't bothered getting another one until I've had my first AF.
Thanks in advance ☺️
Xx

Kangaroo77 · 25/04/2020 17:19

Thanks

@VP91x and @SmileyT

I'm feeling positive, hopeful, terrified, anxious, but mainly excited. I'm looking forward to good stories here.

For me it's not getting the bfp so much, it's praying it's healthy once the 2 lines appear, as I hang on to them regardless! Xxx

Donnat89 · 25/04/2020 16:50

@VP91x I'm really not sure if I'm honest lots of places say different things so just gonna see how next cycle goes xxx

VP91x · 25/04/2020 16:14

@Donnat89 you might still get some spotting over the next day or so. It shouldn't be a concern though should it? I havent read up about short periods x

Donnat89 · 25/04/2020 16:04

@VP91x yes I'm feeling ok slightly worried AF was so short as it's now
Completely stopped and CP is high can't even feel it , but will see what this cycle brings ! X

VP91x · 25/04/2020 15:28

@Donnat89 nice that you have had a nice short time of it. How are you feeling?

@Kangaroo77 sorry that you had to make a decision to terminate for a second time. That cannot be easy at all. How are you? I hope that this cycle is kind to you and you get a BFP. Xx

SmileyT · 25/04/2020 12:56

@Bellabubble It's such a small window isn't it? Your surge can come up as short as 24hrs before ovulation and can be fertile for as short as 12hrs post ovulation. So even if you catch the surge in the 1st hour you can have as short as 36hrs in total. But yours makes sense, LH rise showed ovulation was due to happen and temp rise shows that ovulation had happened. So you would've been most fertile the day of surge and the day of temp rise so you did the right thing 👌🏾 Definitely good to take a more relaxed view and remember that stress doesn't help our little eggs ❤️

@Kangaroo77 sorry you find yourself here and what you've been through, hoping that your next pregnancy is a happy and healthy one xx

Hello ladies,

Hope you don't mind me joining. Sorry to read all the recent losses :(

I terminated mid March at 16 weeks for Trisomy 9 and lots of abnormalities. It's my second termination for medical reasons in 4 pregnancies so quite unlucky! Both flukes and also several years apart (first baby had Trisomy 13). I seem to fall pregnant and hang on to babies, healthy or not. I've never miscarried, but getting to surgical termination stage is also really tough, so weirdly, I wish I could miscarry the unhealthy ones if that makes sense.

Just starting my first cycle post termination. I'm planning on trying after this but am naturally nervous. I'm 42 and I'm taking COq10 supplements for egg quality, vitamin D spray and prenatal jellies. Fingers crossed for us all xxxx

nizo1245 · 25/04/2020 12:26

@Isittimeforbubblesyet thanks. I think I'll leave it til monday morning and phone if I'm still bleeding. She seemed pretty time at the sure that it was a complete miscarriage but also felt like I was being hurried out of the room too. I can kind of understand it, if I was a frontline worker I might be the same.

What happened when they found retained products? Did you need surgery?

Bellabubble · 25/04/2020 12:10

@SmileyT I was similar, I was feeling a bit down as I thought I had tracked well etc etc, and I got so cross as my LH peaked, we dtd, then the next day my temp rose and LH dropped, and I was thinking, hang on, I’m meant to be most fertile the day of and after a peak and yet everything shows me I already ovulated!! So OH and I decided to chill on the tracking this month, and just dtd lots the week natural cycles says I’m most fertile but without actually tracking! That’s what we did the first time before mc, but post mc I have been so desperate I have been trying to monitor too much I think and making myself stressed!

VP91x · 25/04/2020 12:04

@SmileyT @Renna I agree I really do want to enjoy the experience of hopefully getting pregnant soon. It will be so precious when it does happen so we should enjoy the journey if we can!! Trying to keep positive about everything.

@Semele5069 gosh, I am so incredibly sorry you have had two miscarriages. How are you? I think you should still try and speak to your GP. Regardless of COVID, you should still be listened to. It doesn't negate your current experience and what you are going through. Have you had any advice from your early pregnancy unit? X

Semele5069 · 25/04/2020 11:30

Hello everyone

Can I join in the thread? I had a miscarriage in January at 7 weeks (first pregnancy) and just had another at 5.5 weeks. This one was easier I think because I hadn't got so excited and was trying not to think about it much until it got further along. Still had a day of crying and feeling v sorry for myself though! A bit worried now whether something is wrong but I don't think there's any point in trying to talk to my GP until after the lockdown. I'm going to try again asap and consoling myself that at least if I do have a third miscarriage in a row the GP will have to refer me for investigations when I see her. I find it really hard to feel hopeful at the minute though!

SmileyT · 25/04/2020 11:12

@Renna yeah I totally get the whole MN thing but I think it was me getting consumed rather than the thread 🙈 I think it's to be expected the first few months after a MC we are still mourning a future we dreamed of. I was on another thread and a lady that had a molar pregnancy and then had therapy gave some really good advice. Whatever will happen will happen but you can either accept you will be miserable throughout or enjoy every second. Much like falling in love I took the risk that I'll get hurt but I couldn't spend my whole life waiting for that to happen. I've decided I'm going to enjoy the journey, I'm not going to test early because that isn't good for my mental health, I'm going to carry on tracking ovulation and BBT but I'm just going to remind myself that there is no magic formula to getting pg or everybody would do it first month. I will take my temp, do an LH test and then get on with the rest of my day 😊 obviously I'll still have crappy days but I'm going to try. Maybe take a few days and then see how you feel. The odds say one of us have got to get pg this month so need to see those BFPs and celebrate the wins 🥳 xx

Morning ladies hope you are all well , CD3 today and AF seems to have pretty
Much stopped so super light one this time , but glad it's over .

Xxxx

Renna · 25/04/2020 10:32

@SmileyT thanks hun sending love to you too xx that's a good way of thinking about it all xx we were like that before MC but since MC it's like we avoid talking about baby names nursery etc and when we talk about having a baby we say IF we have a baby rather than when ... think we feel like were protecting ourselves mentally and protecting each other. Maybe we need to change this mindset and back to how we were before MC.
Yeah I dont know if DH has low sperm count maybe he does and that's why we got pg when we DTD less that month and not other months when weve done it a lot more. Could also ofc be a coincidence and something else I'm looking into too much xx
Funny how the men say come off MN lol I do get it but I actually feel like you're my friends . I've tried talking to some of my girls in my whqtsapp group about how I'm feeling but I barely get much of a response they just dont get it xx I'll probs come on here less but after chatting to some of you for like a month now I want to see you get your BFPs and share with you when I get mine 🌈💙 xx

Isittimeforbubblesyet · 25/04/2020 10:24

AF has arrived today so its CD1 for me. It's my 5th since the MC so hoping it will be more 'normal' this month. I really want some blood tests done as I'm worried my hormones are not balanced but nothing will be done while covid-19 is about. Trying to naturally increase progesterone but I dont find it easy.

@SmileyT let me know how you go! Starting from the static face makes sense. I am due to ovulate on what would have been my due date but will try and make the best of the situation.

@Renna my temp dropped yesterday and then increased this morning so Confused I only starting temping last month so will see what happens this cycle.

@nizo1245 sorry to hear about your loss. It's just such a horrible thing to go through. I was pretty much sent on my way after the MC was confirmed and told not to take a test for 3 weeks. It was negative but I was still bleeding and another scan confirmed I had 'retained products' (horrible term, sorry) so definitely call the doctor to help put your mind at rest Flowers

Hope everyone else is doing ok this morning

SmileyT · 25/04/2020 10:16

@nizo1245 sorry I meant chance you could have caught again but just checked my calendar and Easter wasn't as long ago as I'm thought 🤦🏾‍♀️ yeah test with the same brand and hopefully it gets lighter. I think a few of us had pretty shoddy experiences with the midwives/ Drs not explaining much but this is a good forum to share any concerns, and like you said can call the pregnancy unit for reassurance aswell and get another scan if it doesn't go negative to check for retained product as although foetus may have passed sometimes there is other product from conception left.
