I'm CD1 of cycle 2 TTC #1 so thought I'd start a new thread for anybody in the same situation who didn't get their April BFP.

I had a MMC found on a scan at 9.5weeks after seeing HB at 7 weeks 🙁 I had SMM on the 19th March but no luck in my first month and AF got me today. Normal cycles are 28days so I hope to be testing around the 20th May. This month I will be tracking ovulation using CB connected and trying out Preseed for the first time hoping this helps towards my 🌈 but tonight I'll just be having a G&T 💁🏾‍♀️

@Hayleylou89 I did last cycle when I fell pregnant, started on day 8 with a clearblue digital got all the way to day 18 with flashy smiley faces and got bored Grin no wonder it never went static. I have only just made the connection with the vitamins so would’ve kept doing OPKs if I’d figured it out back in March- annoyed with myself now! I’ve got a pack of 50 cheap tests, did a few around CD 12-14 but got bored of not getting any result Grin

I don’t think OPKs are for me unless they are the FMU easy digital ones!

It also means that I was just under 5 weeks when I miscarried, feel like a donut now telling my GP I was 6 weeks based on LMP 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hayleylou89 · 04/05/2020 21:29

Hey @yoomoo good luck tonight!! 🌈 do u not use opks to track ovulation atall? X

yoomoo · 04/05/2020 20:45

Evening all, hope you are all doing well. Congrats to the BFPs, love seeing the tests Smile

So I’ve had a bit of a revelation today looking back on my Ovia app and a realisation that the vitamins I started taking at the end of February might have delayed ovulation and therefore extended my cycle 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’ve been taking COQ10 and DHEA and from googling there are some people who have found ovulation delayed. Looking back I had ovulation pains on CD24 on 22nd March, we only DTD that day so must’ve been when I conceived. No wonder I didn’t get a positive until I was a week late on my ‘usual’ 28 day cycle, I would’ve only been 12DPO!
Looks like I’ve actually extended to 38 days... anyway CD24 today and I’ve had the same ovulation pains that I had in March! I’ve told DP he’s got a job to do tonight so we’ll see Grin
Guess I’ll be starting my TWW tomorrow!

VP91x · 04/05/2020 17:45

Hey @SmileyT glad you are well. Ah, get a boxset going or a bath etc as you said! The evening will pass, I am sure these two weeks will go by fairly quickly.

Not going to lie was glad to be back POAS today 😂xx

SmileyT · 04/05/2020 16:22

Hi ladies 👋 Hope everyone has had a good day, I was actually busy at work today meaning no real time to think about ttc but home now and loads of time to think as DP is heading out for a night shift at 6.

Interesting to read about hcg and testosterone injections never really considered any of this but don't think DP would be keen for either. Good that I see you ladies are keeping busy, I'm now 2dpo and I'm adamant that I will stay relaxed this TWW... bit of cooking, meditation and a busy work diary will hopefully get me through.

@Bells993 hopefully it is good news, if you tested with the same brand last time and it was negative it's a good sign as that test isn't even very faint 🤞

@Renna Yea i mean if u got pg without all that first time then ull be fine... I dnt know if the hcg did help us last time as he tried it and that month we were pregnant but we had also only just started trying so who knows what it was we done right... i know i wasnt stressy over it and only dtd twice like u in the fertile window, so im def trying that approach this month altho bit more dtd (just incase) but im not pestering him all day everyday like i was last month then getting moody when hes struggling .... no way xx

Renna · 04/05/2020 14:38

@Hayleylou89 I've just realised the thing DH been taking isnt actually testosterone.. lol its called testo max its like a supplement with all natural ingredients to encourage normal levels of testosterone not actually adding any more to his body. I've realised the injections are like steroids arent they . So it's a different thing . Probably cant even get testosterone in a pill form .. shows how little I know. So probably isnt anything to do with what I saw online .. still gonna get him to lay off those ones though in case 🙄🤷‍♀️ xx

Hayleylou89 · 04/05/2020 14:28

@Renna @2020wish Yes def make sure they stay away from actual steriods as they do kill sperm off x but the hcg is just enhancing whats there already x x

2020wish · 04/05/2020 14:18

My epu just rang there (when I was going through my last miscarriage they wouldn’t see me cause I wasn’t haemorrhaging and I had to book a private scan to confirm, my mc before that was so early on that a scan wouldn’t of confirmed anything for me)
But they said they just wanted to check up on me and said if I fall pregnant again they will see me at 6 weeks and continue to monitor me more closely and that I’m fine to start trying again now before waiting on af to show and to continue taking my vitamins and folic. So a bit reassuring that they will Help me more next time around. Awk yea I know there shouldn’t be anything wrong with either of us but it’s still so hard staying positive and not thinking the worse. Fingers crossed I get my BFP in 3/4 weeks x

Renna · 04/05/2020 12:28

@Hayleylou89 interesting.! Hope it works for you again this month 🤞🤞🤞 I have a step son too and we got pg after 3 /4 months of trying so guess theres problem with his count or anything either. Just annoyed that I was the one that was like yeahh take those testosterone supplements too why not itll help ... but it doesnt really 🙄 so just get him to stop that now ! Hopefully will help. Or hopefully it hasnt had much effect in the first place as he hasnt been taking them for long and forgetting most days ! 🙄🤞 xx
@2020wish you've both conceived before so sure no issue for you 🤞 just ask him no more injections until your 🌈 is here xx
My DH doesnt inject it he was taking the odd supplement testosterone pill last couple months but who knows if that's had an affect 🙄🤷‍♀️ xx

Hayleylou89 · 04/05/2020 12:16

@2020wish it should be prescribed yeah but he has a friend who gets it for him. Its called pregnyl. Xx

2020wish · 04/05/2020 12:07

@Hayleylou89 where can you get the hcg injection or does it have to be prescribed

Bells993 · 04/05/2020 11:49

Thanks girls! Yes I got the negative test 2 weeks ago and bloods are 70HCG can’t remember the measurements over 16 days ago so I’d like to think they would of hit 0. Just don’t want to set myself up for too much disappointment. I’ll give it a few more days then contact my GP, with everything going on I don’t want to pester her for bloods thank you🤞

Hayleylou89 · 04/05/2020 11:47

@renna @VP91 sorry that was directed for u two! X

Hayleylou89 · 04/05/2020 11:44

Well girls they worked for us!! And no he doesnt have low count i dnt think... weve never checked and i have 3 step kids sooo hes never had problems before making babies we just tried them and it worked i. Sept "pregnyl"... us women can take it to stimulate our ovaries to produce eggs aswell they do it with ivf treatment but obv that can lead to hyper stimulation so i wouldn't take it but for him its ok, it also gives them a definite labido which will be handy in the fertile week 😂xx

2020wish · 04/05/2020 11:42

@renna I’m going through the same thing with my partner. He had been taking test injection also for the gym but he was aware of it affecting male fertility temporarily so he had come off when we decided to try. I had researched and read (after CP and MC) that it can take 4-12 months for sperm to regulate afterwards and issues with sperm is starting to become linked to early miscarriages. On our 3rd month of ttc we had a chemical pregnancy and on our 4th month we caught again but miscarriaged on week 6. I dunno if it’s connected but felt very discouraged. Unfortunately once we caught last time and had no idea that we would miscarry he took another injection to start back at the gym but here we are again in square one. I don’t know if test is the reason but if we don’t catch again this month we are going to pay the £145 for a male fertility assessment . He never took it all the time maybe 3 times in the past year as he took a back seat from the gym so I dunno but it’s disheartening . I might look into the hcg injection. We both have children to previous partners so we know we can conceive

Hayleylou89 · 04/05/2020 11:39

@Bells993 i second what @VP91x said we all wish we could fall right away so it would def be possible... and if u had a negative test then theres a good possibility this one is accurate 🙏🌈 really hope so for u, some bloods from the drs would be confirmation for u and they do them fairly quick where i am from xx

VP91x · 04/05/2020 11:35

@Renna yeah definitely keep busy! I've been trying to do that whilst I waited for fertile week. I am doing well! We have been decorating too so spending my time looking for new bits and bobs online. Definitely a dangerous habit 😂😂

And yeah, you're right you got PG in December and nothing will have changed since then in terms of DP. So everything will work out for it!😊

@Hayleylou89 I hadn't heard of HCG injections either! Xx

VP91x · 04/05/2020 11:32

Hey @Bells993 I'm definitely not an expert so I would say contact your GP for next steps. But if you had a negative and have also bad a chrck for no retained tissue then a positive would definitely indicate a pregnancy! It is definitely possible!! Xxx

Renna · 04/05/2020 11:22

@Hayleylou89 hey lovely xx good you have lots to keep you busy 💪👌 I'm trying to keep busy but still cant stop my mind not being "busy" still thinking about everything too much for my liking .. is draining 😴 wow never heard of HCG injections for men.. how comes he took them before, did you find out he had a low sperm count or something? Or just doing it as an additional thing ? I dont necessarily think theres a problem with DHs count and I think doing a test to find out would probably be more detrimental as itd probably affect him mentally I reckon . Although I'd be interested to know lol ... but I thought cant harm if he takes a supplement which helps increase this so I ordered fertilaid for him to start taking which seems to have good reviews for this .. but yeah I came across the thing about testosterone supplements I was like ugh ffs something else to make me feel negative this cycle 😂🙄
This month I'm being more "relaxed" doing less ... as DH suggested... if this doesnt work I'm gonna be like right next month we will throw everything at it ... all the injections ...methods.. lube.. moon cups .. everything haha . Try one extreme to the other🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ xx

Bells993 · 04/05/2020 11:13

Would help if I attached the photo! Oops sorry

TTC after miscarriage - May 2020
Bells993 · 04/05/2020 11:12

Hi Everyone, I wrote this on a new thread (new to the website) and found this chat after. Hope you don’t mind me jumping in,
Unfortunately I had a MMC (missed miscarriage) on our second pregnancy last month. (I have a 1 year old)
I should of been 9 weeks at my Scan but baby was only 8 weeks 4 so it had just happened. 3 days later I had a private D&C as I didn’t want to risk the hospital/ the trauma of dealing with it at home with my little boy.
I had bleeding on and off for 2 weeks after (6th of April was the D&C) I had regular bloody tests, my last one my HCG had come down to 70 so 3 days later I got my first negative test.
I had an internal to confirm no retained pregnancy and was given the all clear to try again straight away. I’ve had cystitis this weekend to add to my problems and now I’m getting this on my tests. Had anyone experienced anything similar, what are your thoughts? Feel like my body’s just giving up on me haha! I’d love to be pregnant again but I’d just be surprised if it could all happen within such a small time scale. Worried to could have other issues going on
Thanks everyone

Hayleylou89 · 04/05/2020 11:10

Hey girls nice to pop on and see some positive tests in here 🙏🌈... so happy for you! Iv been busy with sorting out my own house and i also rent a house out but the tenants are actually due a baby a week before i was due and needed a bigger place so they have moved out so i was getting it ready for the new tenants this weekend.

Im in work today at the uni again its my shift on campus again soo just doing this but being bidy is goood while im waiting for my fertile window to approach 😴 its gone quick to be honest but just hate how im always over taken by people on shorter cycles (bitches haha joking) xx

@renna My hubby has got hold of HCG injections from a trusted source of course, so hes trying it out this month as he was on it when we conceived in sept its 3 injections a week and it apparently helps massively and it happened for us in sept sooo im guessing it helped hes also into the gym etc so its meant to a natural kinda steriod as it has the same effects so hes happy to take it 😂 ... my ava still hasnt arrived... no doubt itll be delivered today when im not home 🙄 royal mail must have delays x

How is everyone else? X

Renna · 04/05/2020 11:04

@vp91x yeahh he isnt going to take the testosterone any more but probably carry on with the conception supplements. Yeahh it doesnt say anything on the bottle etc and its not like a hard and fast fact that it effects sperm but just seen a study about it online 🙄 I think sperm present now would've been made months ago though so may not affect it 🤷‍♀️ either way doesnt make me feel positive 😂🙄 but I guess I didnt in dec when I got pg .. we will see ! Operation keep busy until then .. 😂🤔🙄 how are you today ? X

VP91x · 04/05/2020 10:56

@Dipsy77 ah no way! I had Strep B in my pregnancy with my daughter. I had never heard of it before! Hopefully doesn't cause you any hassle. They never mentioned it again after my birth. I had to stay to be monitored for 24 hours and was given antibiotics during labour. Then all was OK.

@Renna ah! I would have thought testosterone was useful too. Try not to get too caught up with it though. They normally have to mention any risk even if it is minute in case it does affect things. Maybe he stops all the supplements whilst you are trying this month?

Keep positive though for sure!! Xx
