TTC after miscarriage - May 2020

@Rainbowhope11 are you using pre seed or anything? When I was tracking CM last cycle I found it harder to do because of using it etc. Everything gets kind of muddled up in there (Sorry TMI 😂).

I'm trying SMEP this cycle too! Hopefully it works.

@Renna ah yay, congrats on your peak! What time in the evening did you test with your CB? Trying to figure out what time I should do second tests once I get my flashing smiley.

I have never used a mooncup or anything either! It was easy but just obviously slippery. You kind of turn it inside out so it pushes everything up with it and then put it up as far as you can then pull on the string bit so it pops back into its normal cup shape and then I couldn't really feel it much. I popped a pillow under my bum and fell asleep! It was easy to get out. Just pulled on the string. Xx

@VP91x how easy was it putting it in and taking it out ? I think I'd struggle as not use anything like that before like a moon cup etc 😂 x

Yeah @SmileyT got my peak and static last night 😁 xx still peak reading this morning on the femometer app . Before I put this mornings test stick in it said today was ovulation day . But then when I did this mornings cheapie and uploaded it it say tomorrow Is ovualtion day . Probably because it's still quite a strong peak this morning so I'll carry on doing them until I see the line get fainter . DTD few times already and both have a half day today then 3 days off so plenty of time to BD. So done all we can again this cycle 🌈🤞😊 and that's all you can do aye.

When I saw acupuncturist yesterday he suggested some fertility meditation which he thinks is free on you tube . If any one meditates could be worth a look . I may look for some this morning. If I find any good ones I'll post in here if itll help any one :) xxx

@SmileyT it is funny! I was so desperate to see AF, my DH thought I was going nuts! I feel like celebrating with a glass of wine 😂 what was an even stranger feeling, was doing hpts every day after mc, hoping that it would just turn negative. Can't believe it's taken 6 weeks! Oh well!

That's great that you're not feeling anxious anymore. I'm sure that will help with the baby making too 😊 it's such a liberating feeling to finally be able to let go and just relax. The anxiety was killing me too, felt like I couldn't concentrate on anything.

Haha I totally understand that fixation with tracking! I've been tracking bbt ever since my mc, will start doing clear blue opk in a few days and will also do cheapie oks too. And then I will also do my usual obsessive checking of cm😂 if there's anything else that I could possibly track, please let me know! How are you tracking?

I've been reading up on the SMEP because I saw a few ladies post on here about it, and hubby and I realised that we actually ended up following that plan by default the cycle we got pregnant! I had never heard of it before. So we are definitely going to try that again going forward, although it's pretty exhausting haha! Was it you that mentioned the SMEP a few days ago?

@SmileyT yup, definitely! Even though it was rather annoying having to go back and forth to the doctors office, I'm glad that they have taken good care of me. Ah good to know! My period has finally started flowing a bit, so looking a bit more normal. I went through my Ovia app and saw that most of my cycles started with a few days of spotting anyway, so maybe this cycle is just the same. How are you getting on @SmileyT? Fingers crossed that there's lots of Bfps on this thread this month 😊

Got some frers and CB digital ovulation tests delivered today. Going to start testing tomorrow. Anyone else get excited with these sort of deliveries?! Love the grapefruit heads up. Can’t stand it but might have to try some! X

@Hayleylou89 ah, I definitely should have got onto the grapefruit juice on CD1. I will try next month if not lucky this one. Its a shame your Ava bracelet hasn't arrived yet 😔

Hope the rest of you are all ok. CD 8 today so starting SMEP today. Had day 2 of blank smiley on CB. But interestingly had a small amount of what looked like EWCM when I wiped about an hour ago. So hopefully tomorrow get flashing and it'll be the start of FW. Xx

Hello - popped by to say hello before just after I had miscarried - head in a bit of a better place now. Looking forward to trying again. Have ordered an ava bracelet which I hope will arrive soon - although only a couple of weeks post miscarriage and haven’t had a period yet.

Probably won’t try again for a couple of months but going to lurk in the background for a while first is that’s ok!

@SmileyT jeez that's a lot of dtd ha ha we dtd CD 6, 8, 11, 14, 15, 16 doubt we do it again this cycle lol.
I'm feeling quite positive this cycle and trying not to think about it too much during the tww. Xx

@SmileyT Thant was like me last month dtd for what felt like years had a uti on and off because of it.. this month i feel so much better about it l, my ava still hasnt arrived i rang royal mail this morning and they said they have extended expected arrival dates of signed for items by around a week which means its probably going to arrive too late for this cycle 🤦🏽‍♀️...lets hope i get pg and dont need it, that happened when i ordered the cb fertility monitor in sept 🤦🏽‍♀️ it arrived and i fell pregnant before i even to use it! 🙏...
Really want it though as my temping isnt the best at the min with waking up different times even though its still within to two hour time frame they say to do it but my ava would track this perfectly when it finally arrives 😒 x

@Renna Iv got so much going on at the min iv got literally no time to think about it all which is really good, last month i jist stressed as it was my first proper full month and i thought id never get a peak on the cb but i did so i am working ok haha

So step kids - 2 girls (8,12) and 1 boy (16) there lovely kids! We go married last year and its our first anniversary the same week as the baby was due so lovely and not so lovely but we plan to have a nice bbq with the family if the weather is good if were still in lockdown by then that is. Xx

I know that's the thing with this lockdown you get fed up so hey why not let's just dtd. I don't know how much it affects dtd on the days you aren't supposed too I think it's just your luck.
Aw defo less pressure once fertile window is over hubby jokes that he is on a schedule I told him we can go by your schedule now lol xx

@HE88 I know right haha . I planned on doing SMEP last cycle and we did .. but we DTD more than it says to.. the lead up to ovulation we DTD on some of the days it says not .. so dunno if that affects it or not haha but we just ended up DTD more as I think it was Easter bank hol long weekend off together and lockdown boredom resulted in DTD most days .. haha. The month I got pg I only DTD on the peak day and the day after 🙄🤷‍♀️ but I remember thinking at the time we haven't done it enough theres no chance... haha. So this time trying to just go with the flow and not plan DTD other than the peak days . Funny my peak days falling on bank holiday again 😂
But I know the feeling you mean haha like when fertile window done less pressure 😂😂 xx

Ah @Hayleylou89 that's interesting about grapefruit juice wish I had known about this before my fertile week now in tww. I feel like I don't have a lot of cm on the lead up to ovulation so might give this a try next cycle if I'm not lucky.
Also in terms of drinking and holding pee for the ic cheapies I used them this cycle and just drank as normal but not loads I don't really drink a lot which maybe isn't a good thing anyway I also tried to hold my pee for a couple of hours but honestly thought I was going to explode ha ha. Good luck using them. Xx

@Renna I followed SMEP this cycle as it was successful for me when I fell pregnant I forgot how much effort you need to put into it. Dtd Sunday, Monday and yesterday and huuby said to me this morning I'm so glad all that sex is over with now 🤦‍♀️😂. Xx

High five for being less stressed 🙌 I have felt less stressed to to an extent .. I guess the first cycle after MC always going to be heightened and harder to deal with so hopefully the more relaxed us continue ! Tbh it was the TWW I was an emotional wreck last cycle so hopefully I will chill more during the TWW this time!
Aw that's nice you have others to speak to about it. My group of girlfriends from school are just not even thinking about babies even though were not THAT young I would say . we are 28 but they're just really no where near my thinking lol so they dont get it yet. I got married 3 years ago and none of them are even engaged yet or just like anti having babies yet lol.

How old are your step kids then ? My step son just turned 11 the other day ! Madness as I met him when he was just turned 5. My DH is 10 years older than me . Do you see them on weekends or they live with you ? X
