@MrsEmilyB I'm not a massive fan of seeds so might stick to what I have at the moment but if I'm on a June bus I'll be adding more to my current regime, so share anything you find with me, nothing is too crazy for me to consider 😊

@Noble89 you are such a gem I'm so glad I've stumbled upon you... I love this positivity, I had already decided on my pram (at 9.5weeks 😂) but as soon as I had the MC I deleted all my lists but you're right looking at baby stuff and talking about our future should still be a thing. Thanks so much for the perspective and you know what me and my DP are still generally pretty active anyway so I don't want it to turn into a chore being together. I've put on about 6kg in the last 3 months so I'm also on a health kick and been doing IG live workouts.

@babyG123 no definitely not an IB unfortunately, very heavy for the second day and that would've been about 16dpo but feeling hopeful for this month. Also first AF after MC in March so expected it to be a little different xx

dizzypixie · 22/04/2020 21:26

@MrsEmilyB you sound so organised! Is your husband supportive of your planning? I asked mine last night if he’d done any research into TTC and he was like “what would I need to research” - gah! Sometimes I feel like all the planning and research is all up to me?

@Noble89 I love your attitude! So great that the therapy helped you recover from such a stressful time. You are so right to realise that worrying doesn’t change anything - I’m trying to retrain my brain to do the same thing.

Hello @Ltay2, welcome to the bus! I’m also due to ovulate tomorrow (although I think it may have happened yesterday - I’m not tracking properly), so looks like we’ll be TTW buddies Smile

babyG123 · 22/04/2020 21:18

@Ltay2 welcome. I'm at peak LH today and still getting to grips on how it works 🙈

@SmileyT is the period like normal the last couple of days? Just thinking if it's spotting and unusual to last a short time could it be plantation bleed? Can't remember how long you've been trying 🤪 but thought I'd mention it.

Ltay2 · 22/04/2020 20:36

Hi All

New to Mumsnet and forums in general so bear with Grin

We are on Cycle 2, although Cycle 1 was a bit of a ‘practice run’ so to speak!

I am on CD16 and due to ovulate tomorrow. Had a positive LH test yesterday CD15. AF due 7th May and usually quite regular.

Fingers crossed for this month although I a know it’s very early days so not holding out much hope!

Noble89 · 22/04/2020 19:49

@MrsEmilyB

AHH thank you! I really appreciate that as it's taken a lot of work to get me here after the most drawn out miscarriage in history.

You can't help your worries, and honestly with our histories they're justified! BUT therapy really helped me to see letting the worries spoil the experience doesn't change the outcome. If I'm going to have another molar or another miscarriage then that will happen whether I'm excited to try and optimistic when I get pregnant or not...so I can have months of misery then a miscarriage or months of happiness and then a miscarriage. And on the flip side if I get my rainbow I can either look back on 9 months of angst and anxiety or 9 months of joy. You can't control the outcome but I do think you have control of your experience of it.

That's super interesting! I love reading this sort of stuff and like you I always think 'it can't hurt so give it a try!'

I've gone on a health kick. I've put weight on since my miscarriage and I just thought healthy body/healthy mind will give me the best chance of success so I've been tracking my calories and I've started doing YouTube yoga and couch to 5k 😂. This week I've added making sure I drink 2 litres of water a day and it's all making me feel positive and like I'm giving myself the best chance of success xxx

MrsEmilyB · 22/04/2020 19:40

@Noble89 - you have such a great attitude! Makes all my worries feel insignificant!

@SmileyT - it's about eating different seeds at different stages of your cycle to support your hormones. So during your follicular phase you support oestrogen production by eating flax and pumpkin seeds daily, then in your luteal phase supporting progesterone production but eating sesame seeds and sunflower seeds daily.

It's not super evidence based, but can't hurt, eh?! 😂

Noble89 · 22/04/2020 19:34

@SmileyT yeah I'm really glad I'm.able to be excited about this as I really wasn't sure I would be so it's a nice feeling. I'm a serial planner, so I always had this picture in my head of meeting my dream guy, buying a house, having nice holidays etc and then settling down to have children and I had this picture in my head of being super excited to try and him being over the moon when I told him and our families being super excited etc and I got all that last time so it was sad to think I might feel differently but therapy really has gotten me to the stage I'm feeling healthy and positive again which is nice. We all deserve to enjoy this, it's a special time and I don't want to lose sight of that. I'm super lucky, I have an income protection policy so Aviva actually paid for my therapy sessions and lord did I need them!

Oh it's not been long at all for you. I really hope things happen fast and go well for you. Part of me thinks the only way the wound will finally heal for me is when I'm pregnant again and I get confirmation everything is ok. That's when I'll be able to believe the nightmare is over for good.

My period always lasts a bloody week so probably around 4 days for me too! I just keep telling myself worrying and obsessing over it will never improve my chances and will make me miserable in the process. So I'm going to be hopefully and excited, I'm going to talk to my other half about pushchairs I like and cool baby gadgets I see and names I like and I'm going to enjoy this experience xxx

SmileyT · 22/04/2020 19:23

@Noble89 ahh I'm so glad you are feeling good, I'm actually feeling pretty positive and rearing to go, although I've probably not dealt with things fully. My MC was the 24th March so I've just kinda thrown myself into TTC. I actually had therapy before for various anxiety related things and it was super helpful but stopped when I got pg as a I felt that £110 a week wasn't the best use of money at that time.

It's actually really nice speaking to somebody that is still optimistic, it rubs off and makes me feel positive aswell. I'm still counting down the days until SMEP starts in 4 days 😊

SmileyT · 22/04/2020 19:20

@MrsEmilyB what is seed cycling? I love hearing about new stuff to try 😂 and don't worry I'm exactly the same, I didn't have a clue what opk or TTC were 4 weeks ago and now I'm bloody obsessed.

My period has dried up now which is quite unusual to only have 3 days, still spotting today but will start practicing again tomorrow (DP is already rearing to go) annoyingly he is on nights for 4 nights now and I'm working days but we'll make it work.

My BBT has also creeped up the last couple days but as long as it jumps after ovulation that's the main thing... I was thinking that because it's warmer maybe that's affecting temps but that could be completely made up by me 🙈

Noble89 · 22/04/2020 18:32

Surprisingly good actually @SmileyT. I was offered counseling when I had the miscarriage and didn't take it as I felt ok and like 'these things happen' a d I just wanted to try again. Then once the molar diagnosis was made I went into 'dont get cancer' survival mode and I was so focused on getting through that I wasn't overly emotional. Then when I was told the danger was over which was back in January the dam just broke and I was weirdly dreading getting to the point where the doctors would say I could try again as I just thought I can't do this again. I had some therapy over the last few months as I was just so sad and withdrawn and I felt like my experience would take all the joy out of trying again and any future pregnancies which made me super sad as we were so excited and even enjoyed the build up and trying and stuff last time and I wanted to feel that again. I was just saying to my OH earlier I'm so glad I'm feeling excited and optimistic again as there was a time I couldn't ever feeling that way about this.

How are you holding up? Xx

MrsEmilyB · 22/04/2020 18:28

@nlm82 @Rotagilla - welcome lovelies x

@SmileyT - I think my poor DH thinks I've gone quite mad! He said today "this has gone from 0-100 in a few weeks" 😂 and he's right. I just woke up nearing my fertile window last month and thought "I need a baby" and that was it! We weren't planning on trying until May.

But SUPER unhelpfully, my cycle has been all over the place! My BBT is up today and yesterday despite being only cycle day 4, and I only bled lightly for 2 days!...mother nature is giving me the run around on my normally clockwork cycles the last 2 months.

So, I've bought MORE supplements, started seed cycling, trying to clean up my diet and seriously considering a homeopath appointment! Anxiety, much? 😂😂

Ahh you can still be "doing something" now, in both senses of the word @SmileyT! 😉 Practice makes perfect! Plus this is the perfect time in your cycle to be forming a healthy egg and a lovely place for it to snuggle into when fertilised!

SmileyT · 22/04/2020 18:19

Forgot to say thanks for all the tips, I've got a sht tonne of vitamins and hoping that they help - @Missgoldilocks* how are you getting on? Any symptoms yet? Last month I kept checking for CM but didn't notice any EWCM at all so was reliant on opks but stocked up on lube now for my hostile vag 🙈xx

@MrsEmilyB @Noble89 how are you ladies getting on... I'm counting down the days until CD8 when I can start doing something xx

@Rotagilla welcome to the bus 🙌🏾

Pipthesqueak · 22/04/2020 17:37

Hi! CD 15 with nothing but negative OPKs. The past three months I’ve gotten a positive OPK day 12 or 13. This is the first month we are trying so I wish my body would cooperate!

Rotagilla · 22/04/2020 17:07

Hello all, I'm not sure if this is the right bus to be on... ttc baby number 2.

I have a 9 year old...I've had 2 miscarriages since.
Started trying in March, was feeling very positive this month as lots of symptoms but woke up to spotting this morning and af due in two days so I guess it's just early.
Would like to join other on the journey.
Please direct me if I'm on the wrong bus!

dizzypixie · 22/04/2020 16:48

Yay @babyG123!!
Hello @nlm82 and welcome Smile Hopefully your previous form will remain for this time around!

babyG123 · 22/04/2020 15:13

@nlm82 number 5! Good luck!

@SmileyT funny you put it like that as it does feel like a regimented chore at the moment 🤣

SmileyT · 22/04/2020 14:03

@babyG123 I told you, you'd know when you get it 👌🏾👌🏾 Last couple of days of DTD with purpose now - then you can do it for fun 😊

nlm82 · 22/04/2020 14:00

Hi I had my copper coil out yesterday so this is day 1 of trying, with my 4 previous pregnancy I got BFP on month 1 but the last was 5 years ago and I am older now so who know. I feel very nervous that it might not happen this time and I cant put my finger on why. Good Luck

babyG123 · 22/04/2020 13:52

That's a ovulation stick Incase there's confusion 🤣

babyG123 · 22/04/2020 13:51

Woohoo!

May Bus
dizzypixie · 22/04/2020 11:23

@1izzie good luck!!! And have fun WinkGrin

According to my tracking app I’m super early in my fertile week, but I had a sharp stabbing pain in my left side late last night, like I sometimes get for ovulation. So I made my OH jump on me just to be safe! He did not need asking twice, lol...

1izzie · 22/04/2020 08:50

@dizzypixie coming up for my fertile week to! Fingers crossed lots of baby dust our way!

Missgoldilocks · 20/04/2020 23:40

@SmileyT 😂 he's at a great age I can't believe I'm ready to do it all over again but I really am! Well, best I can say is have sex every day that you see fertile mucus, especially the last day you get it. If you have regular cycles just get to know them for a while to make sure you definitely know when you're ovulating, I think temping is really good for that but once you get your temp rise you've already ovulated so I'd use opks at the same time till you're comfortable with when you ovulate. Try to keep sex entertaining and not feeling like a means to an end 😩 its pretty easy for it to get like that! Take vitamins like zinc cq10 vit d folate etc all cycle long and take primrose oil pills 3000 mg before ovulation and stop at ovulation (it helps with fertile mucus) x

babyG123 · 20/04/2020 22:27

Thanks ladies, I did the journey from 8w pregnant to now with a group like this with my 14m old and still don't get them. DS1 is as far as I go lol.

We went onto do a FB group in the end but know ladies and babies names and have a baby Sunday pic session and stuff.

Really is nice 🥰 👶🏼

SmileyT · 20/04/2020 22:16

@MrsEmilyB I don't think having sex more often is an issue (as long as there is no sperm count/ motility issues) most things I've read online has implied a lot of women/ men struggle with the amount of sex they need to have. Me and OH definitely do not have that problem yet 🙈 @Noble89 please let me know if that is completely wrong. So glad we have a little support group now 🥰
