@MrsEmilyB So glad it's not just me with the BBT problems! I'm never quite sure whether I'm measuring properly because my early morning sleep is a bit erratic but I'm glad the app is 'clever' enough to know these things!

Feeling very ?relieved? that my fertile window is now done and I can chill out (if that's possible in TWW 🤣) hoping to not put too much pressure on myself and just enjoy the process.

Ltay2 · 23/04/2020 09:04

My OH has been dead set on a boys name since before he even met me and I'm so glad he told me early because I really wasn't keen on it at first and instantly dismissed it but I think it's secretly grown on me! 🙊

MrsEmilyB · 23/04/2020 09:03

@Blossom93 - welcome to the Mad May Bus! Just scrolled back and saw I'd missed your post, sorry. You're in good company - I thought I'd be chilled but turns out I am much more of a control freak than I thought 😂

@Ltay2 - also a natural Cycles gal over here too 👋🏻 and my BBT has gone a bit haywire over the last month or so. I'm wondering whether it's a change in the weather?

KRK05 - my symptoms are definitely EWCM and LOTS of it (sorry, TMI). That and feeling ridiculously amorous 😂 ahem.

Noble89 · 23/04/2020 08:56

@MrsEmilyB AHH thank you! We're dead set on Blake and probably going with Blake Harper I think 😊. You and I definitely have similar taste! I floated Indie for a girl but my OH prefers Blake.

This is hilarious, I don't tend to like traditional names at all for boys which is why were struggling. No lie there are 3 traditional names I like and floated and those were Henry, Theodore and Elijah!

If I could have my own way I'd have gone Rumer for a girl and either Maverick or Avery for a boy but OH is having none of it 😂

MrsEmilyB · 23/04/2020 08:51

@Noble89 - Blake is adorable! 😍 We love India for a girl, and I have since I read a novel aged 11 about a strong-headed female doctor in the patriarchal victorian era. So I'm pretty sure that's 100%. But I also love Florence! Boys are so much harder to name! He loves Oscar and Harrison. I like Henry and Theodore. But we can't find anything we LOVE.

1izzie · 23/04/2020 08:27

@BabyG123 ooh I'll have a look thank you! I bet it saves your back too!

@MrsEmilyB haha I'm really not! I just like window shopping and looking at stuff like this makes me so excited 😆

Noble89 · 23/04/2020 08:25

@MrsEmilyB my OH and I are exactly the same! I think we were talking baby names by our 3rd date 😂. It's a good job too as we have completely different taste so it's literally taken years to come up with options we can both agree on. We're 100% set on Blake for a girl but we're still struggling on boys names. He likes really traditional names and I like really out there ones 😂. We're agreed on Lincoln at the moment but by the time we actually have a baby who knows what we'll go with.

MrsEmilyB · 23/04/2020 08:20

@dizzypixie - I think my husband feels I've gone quite mad 😂 it's normally the other way around! I'm the chilled one and he's the type A haha. But yeah, he's on board, albeit a little bemused right now!

@SmileyT - I'm doing online fitness classes currently and they're so fun! I usually go to them face to face but actually find I'm working out more at home! 3 times a week I do pilates, 1-2 glow tone sessions (like Bums leg and tums), 1 Clubbercise session (dance aerobics) and 1 combat HIIT. Highly recommend classes to keep you motivated!!

@Noble89 - gah! Baby names 😍 I've been name obsessed since I was about 12. My husband and I pretty much decided on a baby name for a LG back when we were 21! We both have the same favourite name for girls! But I'm still gonna hunt high and low. And we are stuck for a boy!

@1izzie - so organised! ❤️ What looks good out there? I'm clueless with all that!

Ltay2 · 23/04/2020 08:19

Exciting that a lot of our AF are due around the same few days (7th May here). Although I hope none of them come!! Grin It will be nice to have TWW buddies and to try to get to grips with this whole TTC process a long the way with you all!

Ltay2 · 23/04/2020 08:15

@KRK05 Same as @SmileyT I don't think I have many ovulation symptoms either or none that I have really noticed so far! I am supposed to ovulate today and I guess all I have noticed is EWCM yesterday (medium about) and I feel like I have had some tiny aching/stabbing sensations however that may all be in my head 😂 I am only on Cycle 2 so will keep these in mind for my next cycle.

Ltay2 · 23/04/2020 08:11

@dizzypixie That would be so nice to have someone similar to me!

I am using Natural Cycles app to monitor my cycles and have done for about 2 years now in preventing pregnancy so hopefully now that we have switched to planning it will all be pretty accurate.

Just struggling with my BBT at the moment as I'm having a lot of mornings with disturbed sleep so having to decide half asleep at 3am/4am whether testing then is better than waiting a few more hours and hoping for 4 hours solid sleep is difficult Confused

Well today is supposed to be my ovulation day and we BD last night but I have now ran out of OPK's so just going to leave it at that now and see what happens. Don't want to put a lot of pressure on ourselves in the early days as we might have a lot more months of this and it can be stressful!

So I guess my TWW starts from today/tomorrow! Grin

dizzypixie · 23/04/2020 07:29

@KRK05 I don’t normally get symptoms, but occasionally some EWCM and even more occasionally a stitch like pain in my left side. I think I have a lazy ovary (which sounds hilarious), as my cycles alternate between 28 days and 32 days (sometimes longer), and I only get symptoms on the 28 day cycle and pain on my left side. Should be due the non-lazy one this month, so hopefully my chances will be better than with the lazy bum one on the right 😂

SmileyT · 23/04/2020 06:34

Welcome @Blossom93 I think everyone goes a tad manic when they start TTC so you are in good company 🤪

@1izzie @Noble89 the only thing I was certain of was the babyzen yoyo for a pram, I live in pretty central London so will probably be getting on tubes and this one can be folded up with one foot or something and folds really small so it can just go over your shoulder.

@KRK05 this is the first month I'm tracking in full so no idea but last month I did notice a few sharp stabbing pains but tbh I had them intermittently through my cycle, I didn't seem to get any EWCM but will look out much more this cycle and try and drink loads of water.

CD5 for me and I decided to do my first opk of the month today, no idea why it's way too early 😂

KRK05 · 23/04/2020 02:10

@Pipthesqueak That is basically all the symptoms I had but was 2/3 days ago so guess I ovulated a bit earlier than predicted. Will u be testing early or holding out to see if AF has arrived first? Wishing u the best for this cycle 🤞🏻

Pipthesqueak · 23/04/2020 00:24

@krk05 The past three months I’ve had EWCM, cramps about 24 hours before ovulation, and, ahem, an increased desire to have my will with my fiancé! FF says to expect my period May 7 (though it’s been pretty wrong about ovulation this month) so I’ll be TWW buddies with you and Blossom!

KRK05 · 23/04/2020 00:15

What's everyone's ovulation symptoms? Obviously I'm not tracking with OPKs & with being first month TTC I've never really symptom spotted before & promised myself I wouldnt get into the obsessive state of tracking everything but I guess I've caved 🤷🏼‍♀️

babyG123 · 22/04/2020 23:25

@1izzie I recommend the joie swivel! DS1 has it. Rear facing for the recommended time too. He still is at 14 month and will be until he can't no more!

The only negatives are not having a seat to carry baby when you leave hospital and having to wake baby after a car journey to put in the buggy rather than just leaving them in the seat and clicking on etc.

Love baby window shopping! Getting excited with you hahaha

KRK05 · 22/04/2020 23:16

@Blossom93 How exciting your first! Sending lots of baby dust your way 🙏🏼 my AF due 7th May so were around about the same time

1izzie · 22/04/2020 23:15

@noble89 Thanks 😊 for the cot I like the basic ikea one, and car seat there's a Joie one I really like that's a little bit more expensive than others but will last right up until they're 12 so in theory the only car seat we'd need to buy!

You should be excited it's so exciting!

1izzie · 22/04/2020 23:14

Blossom93 · 22/04/2020 23:09

Hi guys, just thought I’d hop on the May bus if you’ll have me Smile

Partner and I have begun TTC this month and AF is due 10th May.. This will be baby #1 for us. We planned to start trying now for a while so we are so excited to finally begin this journey!

I feel like I’ve become super obsessed with it all and it’s only the first month but after reading all of your posts I feel a bit more sane Smile

Good luck to you all!

KRK05 · 22/04/2020 22:45

Just catching up on the chat & so lovely seeing everybody's stories & strength ❤

Noble89 · 22/04/2020 22:22

@1izzie your not interrupting at all! The more the merrier 😊

What did you pick out? I narrowed it down to a bugaboo fox, Icandy peach or a Nuna Demi Grow. I'm excited to start looking at all that stuff again 😊

1izzie · 22/04/2020 22:19

Sorry to interrupt @noble89 and @SmileyT but I completely agree with looking at baby stuff! It's so nice to keep positive and talk about the future! I've already picked out the cot and car seat 😂

Noble89 · 22/04/2020 22:18

@Ltay2 welcome!

@dizzypixie thank you! You deserve to enjoy this and not feel down so just concentrate on the bits you can enjoy 😊

@SmileyT omg I feel like we're each others spirit animal 😂. I'd not quite picked my pram but I was down to the final 3. I'd picked my car seat and names and all sorts. And I'm going to go back and do it all over again when I get my BFP. The miscarriage took enough from me so I'm not letting it have any of this experience.

Gawd I've put on like a stone since I got pregnant. BUT I've now 3 lbs of that and I just keep thinking if it takes a few months to get a BFP that's just more time to drop more weight and feel better about myself. Silver linings!
