@Noble89 ahh we are all so desperate for a baby bomb 🥰 I worked for a small brokers for about a year in between banks but my boss was not a nice man (would use another word but I won't on MN) and I just wanted to go somewhere I'd get a decent mat pay, probs go back to broking afterwards, it's tiring working somewhere they pretend making money isn't important 😴

How are you feeling? I've had a G&T tonight as decided giving up drinking the whole time I'm trying is going to make it less enjoyable 🙈

My OH works on the train lines so he is a key worker but bless him he is more into interior design than me, also got him to sign off on the boys name I love.

@KRK05 yeah exactly, I think the more you read up on ovulation, tests, supplements etc. It makes you feel like you should be doing more and more. But like you so many get pregnant without worrying about it too much. One of my friends is about 5 months pregnant and she was saying today they just started DTD more and she didn't look into ovulation timings etc. I obviously didn't say I was reading into everything like mad and joining forums 😂 x

I work for a broker so I'm working from home but we're super busy too.

My OH is furloughed so I've got him glossing and painting and sorting the garden and all the other jobs we can never be bothered to do. I keep saying at least our house will be nice one last time before a baby bomb hits it 😂

@Noble89 can't believe you are a mortgage advisor aswell, two peas in a pod, unfortunately I work for a retail bank and they have us in branches 🙄 surprisingly busy aswell for some reason but does keep me distracted from negatively obsessing.

It definitely only takes once I think it's just the fact that when we start ttc we feel like we are doing everything so it should happen quicker 😂 but this group has made me feel better about it happening when it's meant to.

DP keeps going on about the bloody kitchen and bathroom we need to get done so might use that as a distraction technique aswell x

@KRK05 I'm so sorry to hear that. But your positive attitude is amazing!! Just keep going and it's gotta eventually happen! We all got each other here to keep spurring each other on! 😊

@KateColx haha yep your OH is right, once is all it takes! 😉 which is why we shouldn't be hard on ourselves if we only do it once x
I find myself googling baby names sometimes.. it's so hard not to when you want something so much!! There's a couple boy names I like, but not sure if I love them enough!

@Ltay2 you did it at the perfect time so everything crossed for you!!

I am here worrying about not DTD enough although we did last night and I ovulate today so in theory that is all that is needed 🙈 also seem to have written off DTD 4 days ago when that again could have been enough, although likely to be a little too early.

@KateColx Exactly! I just remind myself my little boy was conceived while on the injection then was pregnant February without even thinking about it. Your OH is right it just takes one time. I think when your TTC though in your mind your thinking about ovulation, symptoms etc so planning it around that when who knows couldve been that one time 4 days before ovulation u actually get caught! It's crazy but I can understand why we all get so obsessed cause we all just want the same end result, a baby ☺

@KRK05 I think that's the best way to look at it, there's no need to stress so early about it all, just try and have fun I guess. You guys have made me feel better ☺️

@Panda789 @Ltay2 I think it's easy to get caught up in what others are doing too, but as my OH reminded me, it only takes one time to get lucky 😂 I think that's simplistic male logic but I'm taking it haha.

I'm loving the baby name chat! I have so many I love for a girl, but not one that we both love for a boy x

@Panda789 Well yeah very true, hope one of them is me 😬 I was actually on the implant for 4 years, got it out January & fell pregnant February was an ectopic though unfortunately! That was without even trying was more 'we're not gonna have any contraceptive so when it happens it happens' but since then it's made me want to conceive more! But I have this icky feeling that now were trying properly that it wont happen. Sometimes the laid back approach seems to result in a BFP!

@Ltay2 You're the same as me having one month laid back then go crazy after that with everything but its hard not to! I get all teary when I read peoples posts of how long they've tried then feel selfish it's our first month & I'm like I WANT THAT BFP 🤦🏼‍♀️ hope weve DTD enough 😂

@Panda789 I hope that's the case for me with the lack of DTD hoping for BFP although wishful thinking 🤣

@KateColx Yeah I am trying to stay chilled about it all hence the non buying of pregnancy tests but if it doesn't happen this time (which I'm not expecting it to it's still so early) then I will look into some more supplements and start buying more supplies!

@KPK05 I've seen on other chats on here that others have thought they haven't done it enough and then get a BFP after sometimes only doing it once! So you're not out yet 😉 Oscar is a lovely name!! I have a handful of names I love, then change my mind I'm a nightmare!! 🙈

I think it's a good way to go about it, I really don't want to put pressure on it. I'll pester him around ovulation dates and that's it 😂 you've got really good will power not having any pregnancy tests, it's probably a wise move though! The temptation is always there if not 🙈 x

@Panda789 haha I know I probably won't be able to either. Erm I'm not actually too sure. The FRER says 6 days before AF is due I think, so I would think 10 days would be fine? X

@KateColx I'm the exact same as u not taking any supplements or fully tracking ovulation, also dont think weve DTD enough but my 5 year old has been a pest 🤦🏼‍♀️ I decided though to try make the first few months TTC unless were lucky & do get a BFP but try make them fun & not stressful, kind of get to grips with my body etc but I can already feel my inner self saying if dont get a BFP this month il be doing OPKs & starting supplements 😂

@Blossom93 Yeah I guess I'm in the TWW now so we can keep each other company! I had an ectopic pregnancy in March so I think I'm gonna be crazy with line testing & progression but I am gonna try hold out to the 5th/6th May to test & then if it's a negative can kind of relax & wait for AF but if AF doesnt come then test again!

Thanks ladies I was just curious cause it was around 3 days ago I had mild pains & lots of EWCM, which any other month I have never noticed only this month cause we're TTC & now I'm fine symptom wise so cause I'm in the TWW! 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don't know if we're maybe out this month already not sure if DTD enough as our lovely 5 year old has decided he will be a pest & not sleep at nights, lockdown got us all a bit over the place.

Love everybody speaking about baby names, so positive! I can only ever think girl games, boys are so hard I think! Oscar's our little boys name.

@Ltay2 you've got willpower!! But yeah it would be hard to to test early if the tests are there so I know what you mean haha x

I haven't even got any pregnancy tests! I felt like it was tempting fate to buy them in too early but now I will have no way of knowing 🤣 think I will wait until I am late before I think about testing.

@KateColx I am so caught up in it all too! 🤣 we aren't telling any family or friends anything about trying, so they will only know when we eventually get to the 12 weeks of pregnancy stage so I feel like I'm going mad on my own! I read a lot about folic acid which is why I started taking it so it's probably a good one to start with!

I'm not going to stress over the amount of DTD, just going to keep going whenever the mood takes us and at least do it on the day before ovulation to keep it covered. Also doing some yoga every night after work to keep relaxed!

@Panda789 haha I am exactly the same. We weren't even properly trying last month, just stopped trying not to get pregnant, and then the week before I became obsessed 😅😂 I think a couple of days before is absolutely fine, waiting until AF is due / late is tough. I've got my FRER ready 😂🙈 x

It's like you read my mind as I was just arguing in my head if I should wait or test early 😂 I'd love to be able to hold out until I'm due on.. maybe I will test a couple of days before then if the wait becomes to much!! I'm the most impatient person ever x

Welcome everyone! I'm loving having the group. You feel like a crazy person talking to friends and family about it this much when you're not even pregnant yet so it's good to have people who totally get it.

I feel better that I'm not the only one, I guess it's still early days to be worried about not doing enough. I think I'll start taking folic acid though, as I've read a lot about that.

Yes this will be our first. I really didn't think I'd get caught up in it all so quickly but I definitely am 😂 I've just seen your post about ovulation and I'd never noticed previously either but on Tuesday I definitely had a dull kind of cramping pain too.

I've never really paid any attention to Ovulation symptoms but my ovulation day is meant to be today and I have noticed I have got a dull ache, sort of like a very mild, hardly noticeable, period pain in my lower abdomen so could this be an ovulation pain? Also got a slight headache but that could be more from another day of working from home more than anything else 🤣

My period is due today. It usually comes towards the end of the day but after waiting for days for them to arrive, some internet cheapie tests have arrived so currently trying to wait a few hours so I can take one. I'm feeling like AF will arrive so not particularly hopeful. If it's a negative, I'm hoping straight onto this bus.

@KateColx welcome to the chat! I know what you mean by less pressure not telling anyone. You don't want all the questions! The suprise will be nicer. I'm about a week into the TWW and it is dragging!!! Docs recommend taking folic acid when you are TTC, I have been taking Pregnacare Before conception for the last couple of months, but there's lots of brands out there 😊

@Ltay2 I have one friend who I talk to who is also TTC so we are hoping it happens around same time for us! I will also be disappointed, but hoping to see some BFP in this chat to spur me on! 😊 so glad we can all share this journey together.
