@beautifuldream ahh Melbourne was definitely my fave place when I visited Australia a few years ago and one of my best friends met her now husband in Naked for Satan in Fitzroy about 8 years ago and she is currently 30 weeks pg, so I always think of it as being a specialty place ☺️

It makes sense your first period would be slightly longer as your body had an extra week of building up your uterine lining so more to shed and maybe slightly less time to build your new lining. But if you are CD21 and 6dpo that sounds pretty on track for a 29 day cycle unless you have a long luteal phase - will you test at 12dpo again?

beautifuldream · 08/05/2020 06:48

@EllieJai44 haha yes I probably will test early, but not too early. Yes I did do OPK's for both cycles. I use the CB Digital ones with the flashing smileys - WOW they are expensive! I am too nervous taking the cheapies that I will stuff it up and won't be able to accurately read it. The CB Digitals have been fantastic every time. This cycle I ovulated CD15 and the cycle before was CD14. I was super suprised that I ovulated only 1 day later that usual considering I had AF for a longer period of time this cycle due to CP!

@SmileyT London! That is so cool. I am from Melbourne, VICTORIA. Last cycle I got my BFP 12DPO and it wasn't a squinter - I could see the two lines quite clearly. It was 2 days after that the line started to fade each day and when I did some research I knew AF was coming :(
I didn't test any earlier than 12DPO.

I am not sure if you ladies ever feel "implantation" cramping but I feel like I definitely had a bit of that going on at 9DO. So now I am waiting to 9DPO this cycle to see if I have a similar cramping feeling.

SmileyT · 08/05/2020 06:31

@monkeybean10 ahh you're in the fun fertile window and you have the Bank Holiday so hopefully loads of quality time together ☺️

@KRK05 what CD are you now? Glad you had a nice relaxing day we all need that sometimes just to remember that there is a life outside of ttc

@JB23 how did you track ovulation? Could that have been a few days out? hopefully Sunday morning you have a much stronger line as it will have been 72hrs since your first test so hcg will have doubled 🙌🏾 first month TTC and you've caught, what are your secrets?

@beautifuldream I'm in London in the U.K., where in Oz are you? Your Luteal phase tends to stay the same so ovulation May have been delayed but the amount of days you have between ovulation and your period should stay the same or vary by a day either side. What dpo did you get your BFP last cycle?

EllieJai44 · 08/05/2020 05:59

@beautifuldream welcome! It could be delayed so do keep that in mind! Not gonna bother saying don't test too early, because we all do it 😂 have you tracked ovulation at all?

I'm in UK :)

beautifuldream · 07/05/2020 23:59

@JB23 hello! That sounds so exciting. Hopefully you get your BFP!! Smile

beautifuldream · 07/05/2020 23:56

@Noble89 @SmileyT @notyetamumbuttrying @EllieJai44 I am not far behind you all - AF due 18th/19th. I am a little confused though whether my cycle will go back to normal (usually 28-29days) following my CP or if my AF might be late because of it?? Oh jeez, if that’s the case how misleading - could think I may be pregnant but really AF if coming but a little later than usual!? Might need to take a FR to check!!! Feeling hopeful though - and spreading baby dust all over this THREAD. I am from Australia btw - how about you ladies Smile?

beautifuldream · 07/05/2020 23:45

@notyetamumbuttrying this is a tricky one! It’s interesting everyone’s thoughts on this topic - having 1 casual standard drink at the end of the week I believe is not going to harm your chances. I also respect other people’s views on this. However, on the weekend I had 1 glass of wine and I am not going to feel bad about it.
Drinking excessively on the other hand is not recommended of course.

KRK05 · 07/05/2020 22:46

@JB23 Fingers crossed u get your BFP on digital 🤞🏻 I do see a lot of people saying the digital are less sensitive so that's reassuring for u. Looking forward to seeing what it says Sunday, I hope it's great news for u 🙏🏼💜

JB23 · 07/05/2020 22:06

Hi guys, this is my first time posting on here!

This is our first month TTC, and it is driving me bonkers! Currently at home instead of work so have a bit too much time on my hands.

I am currently 14 DPO and AF showing no signs of arriving. Have had plenty of boob and nipple pain (much more than I normally do with PMS) with the odd cramp, but not as much as normal.

I took an early detection test yesterday, and definitely had a line (albeit faint) even DH agreed that it was positive! But took a digital today and it was negative. Hoping that it is just that they are less sensitive. Am going to keep fingers crossed this weekend, and then retest on Sunday. Feeling a bit driven mad by it all - in need of mental distraction!!

KRK05 · 07/05/2020 21:40

Not been on this really today as it was so sunny here & had to make the most of the sun & no AF & enjoy a day in the LazY spa & a lovely bbq for tea 🥰 been quite nice to relax, I think it's the first time since CD1 🙈 hope everybody's had a lovely day 💕

Still no AF but my nipples are on fire, I cant even describe it it's like a constant ache that feels like a bruised feel, that's twice this cycle 😭 I told yous I'm so unlucky like the first cycle TTC & I've been all over the place with aches & pains, but maybe I was just really naive after my Ectopic thinking my body would be normal or my body hates me 🙄

monkeybean10 · 07/05/2020 20:22

First month trying, due to ovulate this week...

Good luck ladies!!

SmileyT · 07/05/2020 19:25

@EllieJai44 if everything is back to normal for my cycle I'm due 16th but will try not to test until 20th as my cycle was 3 days longer than normal last month. I know what you mean about notes, if I've had a bad day at work I try and work out if I was pissed off earlier because of hormones of my colleagues being idiots 🤣🤣

EllieJai44 · 07/05/2020 19:04

@SmileyT AF due 15th for me but I'm 6dpo today, still a long way to go! Lol love that all your notes said was 'wet and hungry' 😂😂 i never know what to put because I end up being different throughout the day so one point I can be hungry and then another time ill be grumpy or tired 😂

SmileyT · 07/05/2020 18:49

@Noble89 @notyetamumbuttrying @EllieJai44 think we are all around the same point in the cycle due 17th/18th fingers crossed for BFPs for all 🙌🏾🙌🏾

I'm definitely not cutting out drinking in the first 2 weeks of each month but trying to seriously reduce in the TWW - this is only my 1st full month in 3 months when I'm allowed out it will definitely be different - my problem is I'm better at having no drinks than one drink 🙈

I'm also writing down everything on notes in my apps, yesterday's just said 'wet and hungry' 😂😂😂

EllieJai44 · 07/05/2020 18:44

@Noble89 nope not any indication at all! This cycle though I have been taking extra vitamin D and also my gp recommended baby aspirin, then when I do end up pregnant they said they would be happy to prescribe me progesterone 🤷‍♀️ they have said its probably bad luck, especially as we do already have a little girl

@notyetamumbuttrying I had a glass of wine or two around ovulation but nothing since, I'm not a huge drinker anyway so it doesnt bother me too much, but if its a hard day for anyone I'd suggest a drink in the TWW haha its hard enough waiting two weeks! Especially at the moment!

Noble89 · 07/05/2020 18:25

@EllieJai44 oh that sounds like an awful experience! I was quite lucky, they booked my D&C for 2 days after my scan and I really knew nothing about the procedure. I went to sleep and woke up with what felt just like a heavy period. My sister in law had a medical management like you and she said it was awful. Her friend had a D&C and my SIL actually said her experience seemed much less traumatic and to go for that and I'm glad I did.

Have they given you any indication as to what the cause may be or what to do differently. There's still every chance it's just been rotten luck and you'll be fine next time.

@SmileyT get a G&T down your neck you deserve it. I don't really drink as I mentioned but I'm definitely of the opinion that one won't hurt especially early on. Loads of women have no idea they're pregnant for ages and keep living life as normal. Just don't polish off the bottle 😂. Ooh I hope it's signs of something good. I'm writing notes in my Flo app this time as I can't remember a bloody thing from.my last time TTC re symptoms etc.

notyetamumbuttrying · 07/05/2020 18:09

I hit post by mistake! I was also going to ask @SmileyT do you not drink in your tww? I'm having a beer now but will prob ease up the closer I get to AF date. Does anyone else still drink during these times? Not sure I could go tee total when I've been ttc 8 months now. God knows how long it'll go on for!?

notyetamumbuttrying · 07/05/2020 18:07

Cycle twins @SmileyT Smile

EllieJai44 · 07/05/2020 17:50

@SmileyT sorry for your loss! I wouldn't wish it on anyone! But yes let's hope this month is the month for that rainbow baby!! 🌈

SmileyT · 07/05/2020 17:27

Welcome to those that have joined us and sorry that AF has got a couple of you.

As has already been said AF is the start of a new cycle and if it isn't your month right now it just brings the chance to change that for next month even closer.

I'm glad that we have some ladies that will be testing the end of next week I'm excited to see some BFPs 🥳

I've had a mental day at work which means another day of TWW is gone... I'm 5dpo and staying calm but have a feeling this is all going to go out the window next week. Side note, I got home from work and OH was cooking dinner on the Bbq and I really fancy a G&T 😩

@beautifuldream I find it so bloody annoying that Drs say different things about waiting, some say you're body is ready straight afterwards and some say wait how are we supposed to know what to do 😤

@notyetamumbuttrying im also 5dpo 🥳

@EllieJai44 im so sorry for your losses I had a MMC that I found at a private scan at 9 weeks in March and really is devastating so I feel for you going through that more than once. Here's hoping we are all luckier this time x

@Noble89 I had some weird twinges a couple days ago no idea what they were just like a dull throbbing kinda feeling, hopefully our bodies are doing something good 😬

EllieJai44 · 07/05/2020 16:51

@Noble89 thats crazy it took so long!! I wanted a D and C and was booked in but they left me for 2 weeks so I started to pass naturally! We went to the hospital because I didnt want to do it at home and ended up catching the baby in the corridor toilet 🤦‍♀️ we were there 4 hours and hadn't been seen once in that time despite me crying in pain, I begged them to send the baby off for genetic testing to find out why and they only sent for histology, so the only results we have is it was negative for molar pregnancy, because we've had 3 miscarriages we have been referred for a clinic but thats been stopped atm because of the virus 🤦‍♀️

I have everything crossed for us and anyone who's hoping this month is the month for them!! Baby dust everywhere haha

Noble89 · 07/05/2020 16:38

@EllieJai44 right back at you! I'm telling myself I'm going to be strict this time but frankly it'll be a miracle if I am 😂. Especially as I have 3 FRERs and two clear blues left from my last pregnancy. I keep telling myself they're free tests because I paid for them so long ago so I can waste them 😂

Ahh I'm sorry to hear that. It's such an awful thing to go through. I knew in my gut something was wrong with my molar as I had an early private scan at 8 weeks and the woman said everything looked perfect but I had my dates wrong as I was only 6 weeks. I'd tracked my ovulation so I KNEW I wasn't 2 weeks out but literally no one would listen to me. The ultrasound tech was adamant everything was fine and I just had my dates wrong and the midwife just said the tech had measured wrong as it's easy to do early on but I knew from then there was a problem. Low and behold got to my 12 week scan and there was no more heartbeat and baby was only measuring 7 weeks. They still didn't suspect anything more than a normal MMC though and thankfully I opted for the D&C as it was only at that stage they realised the placenta was abnormal and sent it for testing. If I'd opted to wait for a natural miscarriage or to have the tablets I might never have known and the extra time could have led to cancer which is terrifying really. I'll definitely advocate for myself more next time. I'll be insisting on an early scan and I won't be fobbed off again if I've valid reasons to believe there's a problem.

I've had an enforced 6 month break as you have to have monitoring after a molar pregnancy to ensure your HCG level returns to normal as that's the only way to be sure it's not turned cancerous. Obviously a new pregnancy would impact HCG so you have to wait. It's mad really. I had my D&C in October and my HCG is only just normal this month. Had I taken a pregnancy test a month ago it would still have been positive even though I wasn't pregnant. The waiting sucked for me, I just wanted to try again but I also think it probably helped me feel less anxious as it's given me time to deal with what happened and move on.

Hope we both get lucky this time!

EllieJai44 · 07/05/2020 16:02

@Noble89 I can definitely be a testing buddy, I'm not good at being someone to stop you testing- ill always say test 😂 I keep saying ill test at 10dpo but I bet I cave before 🤦‍♀️
So sorry you've been through a molar! We had a 5 week loss last August, then a 7 week loss in late October and then a 10 week loss in Feb but I was 12 weeks when I started bleeding although we knew baby had stopped growing at 10 weeks due to a private scan we had paid for- honestly worse day of my life
But we have had a couple months break and ready to try again, good or bad!

Noble89 · 07/05/2020 15:55

@Excitablemuch oh definitely nothing to worry about then! Maybe it's fate and you're meant to get a baby birthday present next year! I totally get it though. I got pregnant the second month we made any real effort last time and first month of doing SMEP. This time I be tracked ovulation from the first cycle and we've done SMEP so I've definitely got unrealistic expectations that it should work immediately like last time.

@EllieJai44 fabulous! I've got an early testing buddy 😂. I was a nightmare last time I was TTC and spent a fortune on tests so I'm being stricter this time. I got my BFP with my molar at 11DPO but it was a clear positive so pretty sure it would have shown up at 10DPO so I'm using that as an excuse to test at 10DPO this time. I've got 5 tests left over from my last pregnancy so I've told myself I can start at 10DPO this month but if it's negative I have to wait 2 days before trying again. I've also decided if I don't get my BFP this month then next month I'll buy internet cheapies that won't break the bank to waste as last time I went through about 5 or 6 FRERs every cycle and those things are bloody expensive!

EllieJai44 · 07/05/2020 15:39

@Noble89 definitely will test early! Dying to test now 😂
