BBT Chart — should it be dropping 3dpo?

Good Morning,

This is my first proper month charting religiously and at the same time each morning. Should I be concerned that my temp is slowly declining post ovulation? It’s not below the cover line yet, but it’s getting there. Any interpretation or opinions gratefully received xx

@Beau20 this was confusing me also! If you're going to pull someone up then make sure you actually read what they allegedly put 🤣

Beau20 · 17/04/2020 16:25

@kirinm read the rest of that post will you 😴😴

It may well be that you haven't ovulated yet, keep testing with OPKs as it's really common to get 2 surges (I've had it twice) and you ovulate on the 2nd surge

You said it's likely she didn't ovulate this cycle but best to wait and see. Not 'yet'.

Beau20 · 17/04/2020 14:21

That was meant to say including GPS

Beau20 · 17/04/2020 14:21

@kirinm I never said she hadn't ovulated I just said (and tried to be helpful) that maybe she hadn't ovulated YET. And to keep using OPKs. Most places (including) will tell you that you need to have 3 consecutive temps between 0.3 to 0.5 of a degree higher than pre temps.

Ashworth90 · 17/04/2020 12:45

@kirinm thank you very much for your reply. Fingers crossed for tomorrow then that it stays above the cover line. Hopefully by next month I will be better at charting and can hopefully start to pick up a pattern. This perhaps could be my ovulation pattern as I agree they are still raised temps albeit declining slightly! Thank you!

I'm not sure anyone should be telling someone they probably haven't ovulated this cycle tbh. Unless they have access to blood tests.

your temp today doesn't drop below cover line so it is still raised. It won't always increase and it isn't supposed to. It is just supposed to be higher than before ovulation.

Ashworth90 · 17/04/2020 11:15

@Lily2020 thank you! And good luck with your temping Smile!

@Beau20 ah! Thank you very much. I’m glad I asked now because I just assumed that as I had three temps over the cover line that they would just be considered high and I had ovulated. I didn’t think any different. I will definitely carry on with my OPKs then. Thank you!

I would wait for a few more days temps but you need at least 3 high temps to confirm ovulation. It's likely that you didn't ovulate this cycle although best to wait and see what the rest of the week is like. It may well be that you haven't ovulated yet, keep testing with OPKs as it's really common to get 2 surges (I've had it twice) and you ovulate on the 2nd surge

Also my first month temping so no help to you whatsoever, hopefully this will bump it up for you,I'm interested to see what others have to say, good luck! 😊
