Hi everyone!

Cycle 5 of ttc baby #1.

Currently 11dpo and 3 days away from AF.

So far I have absolutely no symptoms which is not normal for me compared to the last 4 cycles.

However, had a BFN this morning so feeling disheartened.

Anybody testing in the next few days? I'm trying to hold off until 15th April.

Also attached my chart this month if anyone wants to comment?

Yes isn't that so weird we are literally brainwashed that unprotected sex = pregnancy

I know it's easy to go too far but imagine you didn't have Google or didn't look this stuff up.

Anywho, another day and trying to remember all of those less fortunate than me so will stop the moans today!

@serialplanner honestly I really get those first time feelings because I was so hopeful that it would happen with just the mention of no contraception.

We are taught not to have sex without protection because you will get pregnant (and die lol) so we avoid it thinking it's so easy to get pregnant when in reality it really isn't.

I have have everything crossed!!!! 🤞🤞🤞🤞

@MrsCOR first time ever - I know it's silly. I've just had a bad day at work too. Thanks for your encouragement. Might give me something to read other than symptoms lol

@serialplanner - honestly I was exactly the same about trying to be cool about it all. Is this the first month ttc for you?

If you like to plan things and be in control, I would recommend reading "The Impatient Woman's Guide to Getting Pregnant". I really enjoyed reading it and found it very helpful for my mindset and chilling out about the whole ttc thing.

On another note... absolutely no pink CM since 2 days ago now, very mild cramping so keep thinking AF is going to come but nothing so far! I don't know why but it just feels different and not like my normal cramps. Tomorrow will be a day late but might not test just yet. I don't want to see a bfn again and it's only 1 day late.

I'm super moody today and it makes me more moody because that means AF. I know it's the first time so I just need to calm down but it's hard not to get your hopes up. I really thought I would be more chill than this.

@Juno231- you think so? I'm trying to be positive but I really think AF will turn up!

@Positevibes - aw so gutted for you that AF came. I'm getting more cramps today so think AF will just be a day late. Hasn't actually turned up yet though! My temps are just up and down at the moment so I'm on the edge of my seat anticipating seeing a massive drop.

@serialplanner I know! Was quite surprised by it! But then I suppose they tell you to wait until a missed period to test probably for that reason. I really hope this is our month 🤞

@MrsCOR well that stat is good motivation to try and wait until a missed period...but just makes the wait longer! I will try and wait as long as possible

@serialplanner I know it's a good sign and I had pink CM 2 days ago that has now stopped. Normally gets darker and then af comes full force but it's gone and no AF yet. Had cramping but not as bad as normal. I've had no symptoms this month at all either so hoping that's a good sign.

I read somewhere that apparently 40% of women don't get a bfp until a missed period.

Hi @serialplanner - I am 14dpo and AF due today but so far no sign of her and my temperature has stayed high. However I've also had BFNs so far so not feeling that hopeful. I'm sure the wicked witch will arrive today or tomorrow.

How many DPO is everyone? I am 6DPO and starting to lose patience but don't want to get my hopes up as first cycle TTC so very unlikely. Oh gosh the emotions.

Very true - I am glad I didn't get pregnant sooner because my SIL is due in June and I would not want to be giving birth right now. I'm not even sure if they are allowing birthing partners in some hospitals at the moment. It's really sad!

I use Flo - it's really good and FREE!! I can do OPKs on it, BBT, CM and all sorts! Wish it did a cover line though so I can see how much higher I am above it

Thank you. Due to the current state of things with the world it might be a blessing in disguise not getting pregnant, I know my partner who's a key worker would be worrying everytime he had to leave the house.
What app do you use to track your cycles?

@user1469567046 - aw I am so sorry AF got you today.

We did the same this month, only missed 2 days but I have a feeling those 2 days might have been the best ones to DTD on.

I gave in and tested this morning but BFN. Think I am out as AF due tomorrow. Unless my temp drop was late implantation (which I doubt), then I might not see a positive for a few days. I'll keep you updated 😊

I'm out. Af arrived this morning like clockwork. Really thought we stood a chance this month dtd on 4 days out of the 6 fertile ones. May bus here I come. Good luck, let us know when you test tomorrow 🤞

So temp has risen again this morning. It would normally drop before AF and that hasnt really happened yet.

I know I am probably being hopeful but at this moment I am clinging onto anything I can! I might test tomorrow morning.

Sending you lots of love @MrsCOR, it is such a tough journey never knowing if each month will be THE month... So hard not to get your hopes up and then be upset each time! But when it comes it will be so worth the disappointments and waiting for sure!

I think I have decided to get rid of all tests in the house so I am forced to wait until a missed period. I don't think stocking up is helping that feeling every time I see a single line. I also had a very very faint line on a blue dye test so going to avoid those too as I know they are not great and want to minimise getting my hopes up as much as possible.

I know that when it does happen I will be totally over the moon and it will feel so much more rewarding after so long. Part of me is glad I didn't conceive the first month of trying because it has really taught me to not take my fertility for granted and to appreciate all the great things I have in my life right now. Nothing ever happens the way you want it to and now has proven that more than ever.

Fingers crossed this is your month and that my time will come soon 🤞🥰

@MrsCOR now don't quote me on it because I have no actual evidence yet but I think the reason we keep doing it is due to the end result apparently it's pretty amazing. I guess we just keep going it has made me realise I'm much stronger than I thought I'm on cycle 7 and AF is due tomorrow and I have all my fingers crossed.

I have had a very faint positive but until I've actually missed my period I'm being very cautious after having a chemical pregnancy in Feb.

I'm sure it will happen for us 🤞🤞🤞

Thank you both so much! Sometimes I wonder why I get my hopes up every month because the outcome is always the same regardless of what I think is "different". Why do we do this to ourselves?!
